Grouping Issue - Siebel related

Hi All,
Am facing an issue in one of the reports. Below is the scenario.
I need to group my Contact list report on "Country" field which is not a direct field in Contacts. It is coming from another Business Component in Siebel which is "Personal Address".
This is not working. But when I try to group the report based on a field which is a direct field from Contacts, it is working fine. (Ex: Contact Name)
Am unable to achieve this. Kindly help me with this.
Thanks in advance,
Imtiaz.

Since your country details are under contacts, use the correct path for regrouping.

  • Grouping issue vouchers items in an invoice

    Hi all
I'm developing an inventory and sales system , I have a master detail form for issue vouchers issued to customers, the master block contains the columns voch_no (issue voucher no) and the customer_no from issheads table and the detail block contains voch_no, stock_code,quantity and price colums from isslines table.
Each customer may have more than one issue voucher, and each issue voucher may have more than one item.
I have another form, the invoice form (also a master detail just like the issue voucher).
What i hope to do is when the user creates a new invoice for a specific customer, he shouldn't create the invoice items himeself, but he should select some issue vouchers that belong to that customer (better to be multi select), then the invoice items will be created automatically to get the sum(quantity) grouping a line for each item by stock_code,price.
The issue voucher numbers related to each invoice should be saved in a table for later updating.
    my question is :
1-Should i create a new table that contains all the nmbers of the issue vouchers related to the invoice no ?
2- how can i handle this in forms builder ?, should i create a new form, or can i achieve this in the invoice form itself and how?
    Please help

    Thank you!
You're probably right, I might be talking about a feature of the sistem I'm using. Actually I'm not sure if I have access to database but probably not, I work at Xerox in Brasil and would like to know a little bit more about Oracle, with out have to ask my boss all the time. I work with record receipts of different species have lost much time trying to find repeating items on invoices. Sometimes we have interface issues, some items don't go to WIS (warehouse information system) after it registers on Oracle, so we have the physical part but it's not in the report storage
My boss once told me he would teach me a way to see items of an invoice (repeting or not) after it registers on Oracle, but he is too busy, so I'm trying to find out by myself. If it helps, the systems responsability is Oracle applications - OSPD and my security group is standart.
I'm sorry if my english is not that good I feel that my words seem a little confusing to you...
Did you understand what I mean? Hope you did, and hope you can help.
Thanks once again for your interest in helping me I really aprecciate it.
    Regards,
    Maria Carolina.

  • Sorting /Grouping Issue: Single Artist Compilation Album Doesn't Group

iTunes 8 Sorting / Grouping Issue
    EXAMPLE
    • Album: Essential Willie Nelson
    • There are 22 songs on this Disc
    • 19 of them are labelled "Willie Nelson" in the artist field
    • 3 of them are lebelled "Willie Nelson Feat. Waylon Jennings" in the artist field
    PROBLEM
    • Album will not stay grouped together when in the standard "Sort by Artist" in Grid View. A very legitimate expectation to be able to have Willie's name listed along with his pals in the artist field and have them grouped together in one album within Willie's albums section. 19 songs group within one album in the Willie Nelson section and the other 3 are placed separately either in the compilation section or as separate albums within the regular artists grid view.
I've read most if not all postings that suggest solutions but no matter what... they don't work. The only way that I know to work is to strip out all other names and leave only "Willie Nelson" in the Artist field. All other sorting and grouping options don't work for this issue... I've tied every combination. My opinion is that this is just a limitation at this time and there is no solution until future updates. I don't want a cheezy work-around either, that's very "unApple like". I assume it to be fixed in future updates.
    Bueller... Bueller?
    Anyone?

There's a few other "goodies" I have found also but haven't had time to check out.
If you have songs not in iTunes that you want to add to iTunes in a different format than the song is in...
(This is carried over from at least 7.4)
Set the Importing prefs to what you want the new file to be.
Hold the Option key and go to menu Advanced and select *Convert selection to* AAC (or whatever is in the Import prefs}.
This will add it to iTunes in the new format.
Previously, you had to Import the file, change the prefs, go to Advanced - *Convert selection to*, convert the file, then delete the original from iTunes.
    This is new...
In iTunes 8, go to to File - > *Show duplicates*. (moved from View menu).
Now hold Option and go to to File and it now displays *Show exact duplicates*.
Don't know what it means by *exact duplicate* though.

Can anyone tell me what kind of impact will be on the existing system by renaming these "Groups" in Siebel Analytics?
Which are the area i need to consider while doing impact analysis?

It depends, are you using SSO? If not groups names shouldn't matter unless you are using them in filters or in the narrative view.

  • Group Issue

    HI Gurus,
My client is following this scenario. It has make to Order scenario and so many subcontracting process is done by the client.
The scenario is like, multiple work Orders are sent to Subcontract Vendor through single Group Issue.
For Example: 5 different work orders have the same processing work and has to be carried out by SC vendor X.
What they are doing, they donot issue the materials to the same SC vendor 5 times instead they make a group of the work Orders and issue the materials to SC at a time.
How can we map this into SAP????????
    Thanks & Regards
    Pranaya

    Hi
In MB1B , you can club all the PO's & issue the Goods to the SC vendor.
Goto MB1B, enter movemnt type 541, Click on To Purchase order & enter the PO & item details. Now adopt the details & issue the Goods to SC vendor.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Response Group: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.

    Hi all,
I have three central sites with each having a Front End server pool (standard).
Site A and Site B are paired for resiliency. Site C is on its own.
On two of my Front Ends (Site A and Site B), when I click on response group tab i get the following warning on the top of the page:
"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)"
I have check out the following articles about dont think they apply to me:
    http://unifiedme.co.uk/2014/01/network-related-instance-specific-error-occurred-accessing-lync-control-panel-response-group-tab/
I dont see any Event logs that would direct me to a cause.
Which database it is complaining about? RGSDYN and RGSCONFIG are local databases as it is an standard installation. What could be the possible cause for this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

My latest change was the addition of Site C.
Going through logs (i must have missed it the first time, with all the noisy EWS errors), i found event ID 31147. I am investigating network issues although I have MPLS running to that location.

  • Slice measure group by dimension related to another measure group

    Hello everyone,
My users are wanting to slice one measure group via a dimension related to a different measure group.  I have regular relationships here: Dim_SalesStatus <- Fact_Sales -> DD_Link <- Fact_Mfg, and Fact_Mfg has a many-to-many relationship
to Dim_SalesStatus  (through intermediate measure group, Fact_Sales). The DD_Link is a degenerate dimension that I created with the LinkId's that exist in the Fact_Sales table.  The Fact_Mfg records may or may not have a LinkId. Processed great,
no problem. I was testing the configuration by finding multiple LinkId's that *are* in both fact tables in the data warehouse, then seeing if I can slice. If I slice by only the LinkId, they show the correct counts on both sides as 1.  In my following
    example, I have two LinkId's (12345 and 67890).
DD_LinkId, Fact Sales count, Fact Mfg count, MfgQuantity
    12345, 1, 1, 387
    67890, 1, 1, 50
As soon as I try to slice by the SalesStatus, the Fact_Mfg count goes to null on some (not all). It seems like it can’t find the data through the relationship.
Sales Status, DD_LinkId, Fact Sales count, Fact Mfg count, MfgQuantity
    Incomplete, 12345, 1, (null), (null)
    Incomplete, 67890, 1, 1, 50
I'm not sure what could be the issue, it looks to be all setup correctly to me.  LinkId 12345 is not behaving the way I would expect, but 67890 is, and I'm not seeing any differences in the way the data is setup in the DW.  What can I check/verify?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Jarret

    Hello Bill,
Neither of those are true.  The FactMfgCount is the default measure added when creating a measure group, and the quantity is a simple column based summed measure.
If I drop the DateEntered dimension altogether, the results returned are shown as expected.  When I then recreate it, with a regular relationship to both measure groups, it stops working.  If I remove the relationship from DateEntered to Sales,
the expected results are presented.  Or, if I remove the relationship from DateEntered to Manufacturing, the expected results are presented.
From what I can tell, as long as a dimension is not related to the fact on both sides of the many to many, the expected results are presented.  As soon as I relate a single dimension to both sides of a many-to-many, the data in the data warehouse must
be the same in the related columns, or the results are "(null)".
Is this supposed to be true?  If you look at my cube structure image above, that's my setup.
Here is the MDX that I was running, which does not reference a date dimension.
    //Without Status, expected results.
SELECT NON EMPTY { [Measures].[Fact Sales Count], [Measures].[Fact Manufacturing Count] } ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY { ([DD_Link].[Order Link Id].[Order Link Id].ALLMEMBERS ) } ON ROWS
    FROM ( SELECT ( {[DD_Link].[Order Link Id].&[18440402] , [DD_Link].[Order Link Id].&[18446846]} ) ON COLUMNS
    FROM [TestCube]
    go
    //With Status, unexpected results.
SELECT NON EMPTY { [Measures].[Fact Sales Count], [Measures].[Fact Manufacturing Count] } ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY { ([DD_Link].[Order Link Id].[Order Link Id].ALLMEMBERS * [Sales Status].[On Time Delivery Status Description].[On Time Delivery Status Description].ALLMEMBERS ) } ON ROWS
    FROM (
    SELECT ( {[DD_Link].[Order Link Id].&[18440402] , [DD_Link].[Order Link Id].&[18446846]} ) ON COLUMNS
    FROM [TestCube]

  • Photoshop CS2 issues & Customer Relation's solution

i bought a g5 quad in June 06 that failed in july 06. they were unable to resolve the issue and gave me a replacement machine.
i was given a mac pro with 4GB of RAM and a terabyte of internal storage. the 2 oem 500GB Seagate 7200.10 hard drives took over 9+ hours to zero out: the apple store genius told me this was normal. i have since purchased 2 different hard drives. one of the same capacity which zero's out in under 2 hours. that number IS normal.
Adobe Photoshop CS2 Bridge and Camera RAW have never worked properly on this machine since i got it, quitting all the time when renaming files or browsing my hard drive folders in Bridge. i was told that this is normal and that CS3 and Leopard will fix all this. then the CS3 Beta came out and the machine quits even with the new version.
i contacted Adobe, they say it is my hardware. i went to the apple store and showed them the problem and was able to duplicate it on every mac pro in their store and they said it must be a software issue.
i bought more RAM from apple. the machine works somewhat better now, but it still crashes in photoshop and adobe camera raw and bridge. i purchased lightroom and have looked at changing my workflow, and this program too quits intermittently.
i called apple customer support again. they walked me through using a different user account. same issues. i asked to speak to customer relations. i got on the phone with the lady, and i asked if it was possible to send someone out to look at the machine since it is not working properly, and she said that it is not something they would do since it is not their problem. i asked if they would be able to help me decipher the crash logs so i can find out WHY the machine is crashing.
her exact words were, "well, maybe you can sell it? if it is giving you all these problems and since it is not our hardware, it might be best for you to sell it and buy something that works."
"sell it." i would like to say that "sell it" was not the answer i was looking for. i wasn't even mean to her. i was extremely polite and i got, "sell it" from customer relations. i hope none of you get "sell it"
good luck to all of you.

You use to use Windows but decided to move to Macs at some point, and not look or go back. And that the Quad G5 worked up until some point.
When I got my Mac Pro back in late August/early Sept, I ran into some oddities that no one could help me with. Drivers from Lexmark for their laser printers. Suffice to say that I spent weeks if not month trying to track down why etc. and doing the "clean install" but ended up with the original install disk image.
I'm always afraid if I am forced to install any drivers for now as a result.
I updated SoftRAID (I thought) and ran into every driver and extension conflict possible, known and unknown.
Clean install and avoided anything I could "live without" this time around, and it was stable. For a few days, any and every - and I mean absolutely anything I tried to launch, run or whatnot would CRASH.
I was ready to point fingers. But at whom? ah! must be the Ramjet. Passes all tests, but there must be a gremlin and nothing is good enough to find the cause.
System is now rock solid and stable.
I don't know really what or why. And whether it was SMC reset (I wish they would paint the button in RED!) or zapping PRAM/NVRAM.
I also installed Vista to see if it was OS X or hardware or not. But I never learned what is needed to really use and secure a Windows system - or troubleshoot it if it goes haywire. But you would.
I have spent 40+ yrs tinkering with computers, and 20 with Macs. I think I still remember some of the troubleshooting days from 1990 hunting down shareware bugs.
If it is hardware, it would fail running XP too, maybe? did you retain your license for and copies of Windows and CS2 or whatever you would use? (The Mac Pro really shines running Windows Vista from what I've seen).
It doesn't take a lot to turn a Mac into a crash-prone system. There are some bugs even with the OS update installer itself it seems.
Troubleshooting is as much art as science. Hunches based on what feels wrong with some sweat and guesses backed by some "CSI" sleuthing and detective work.
Only Apple or Intel would know if they have had to come out with re-designed chips, a newer motherboard, or cpus. Or the AMB used on the Risers.
As I said (5 pages ago?) a friend had a G5 Quad that would not run CS2 properly, was crashing etc. (and had on-site Care etc) and the latest logicboard (3rd) stopped the problems, CS2 runs faster and better, it doesn't crash, and the benchmarks show it.
There are revisions to logic-boards. I read it takes 3-6 months to get a pattern of a problem, and another 3-6 months to redesign parts, manufacturing, testing, between engineering prototypes and manufacturing.
I thought the whole idea of AppleCare was sort of the "care" in AppleCare. And to solve a problem.
It would take someone with access to what engineering errata is going on. What changes were made to G5s. There were other problems with Quad it seems as well, heat, the liquid cooling components (there are two varieties).
I don't have the stomach or temper to deal with customer service, phones, etc. But I would make an appointment (yes, again!). I don't know what terms there are for small business or customers to get premium care, probably not good.
We had a mainframe with a bad memory card or bank. We thought. We also swapped out every part trying to get it fixed. We even had to keep the room temp colder and controlled humidity. A new system for us would have been lower maintenance, lower energy bill, less strain on a/c even. And smaller (so we didn't need to use as much floor space). But government can be "penny wise and pound foolish" in such matters.
I know you are just getting familiar with things like "Onyx" and "Disk Warrior" and such. Those can be helpful.
Crashing does tend to lead to more crashes. Mac OS X is not immune to side effects of what they can do. And usually you want to finish a project, not get sidelined.
I wish you had a G5 Quad in there. Two systems. Maybe two G5s even if you have the work or so you can be running CS2 on one and CS3 on another. Or have a techie "gearhead" come in and test and insure that your systems are in working order. Something.
It ain't normal. And it should get more than a "brush off."

  • Upgrade System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 CU6 -- 2012 RTM issues (Assembly related exception in log)

    Hi guys
I am currently performing a distributed, complex upgrade with a customer:
4 management servers (1 being RMS), both databases (OM & DW) on a single SQL Server (2008 R2 SP2)
We moved over the RMS role to another server and decomissioned the old one due to it being a 2003 server.
Then we upgraded all non-RMS management servers.
We had some issues with them as well (same error in the log), but when we reinstalled the 2007 R2 binaries & patches and redid the upgrade it came through fine.
The RMS however keeps throwing the same error. Things I tried:
    - Full clean of the server including momclean and msizap, then reinstall the RMS and retry the upgrade
    - Reregister of the msiexec server
I am suspecting some issues with assemblies and / or GAC, but no clear proof on that, only that it crashes after performing assembly operations.
Below an extract from the RemoveMOMServer.log (the error occurs when uninstalling SCOM 2007 R2)
Can anyone help out or give me some pointers on possible causes?
    Many thanks in advance!

  • New software update still not downloading.  Apps updates have all downloaded since iTunes issue resolved.  Is the software issue also related to this, or is there another problem?  This is on my iPhone 6, not my Mac.

Trying to download the iOS 8.2 software update on my iPhone 6, but it won't update.  All app updates have resolved since the iTunes issue was resolved.  Is the software update issue related to this as well, or is it another problem entirely?
I've synced it to iTunes, turned it off/on, etc., but still not downloading.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi DebC64,
So is the iOS 8.2 update not downloading to your iPhone, computer or both?
You have synced it to iTunes, that is an option to update if it's not updating wirelessly.  Please see if other steps help.

  • AD security group issues in SharePoint 2013 Integrated Mode

    Hello,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I'm not sure if this is a SharePoint issue or a Reporting Services configuration issue (or if it should be in a SharePoint forum regardless).
I have SSRS2012 on SharePoint 2013 in integrated mode. We are doing item level permissions, which means we have an AD security group Reports-All with
Read to the Reports document library, then each actual report has unique permissions. We have a report with the ProjectManagers AD
security group on it with Read (plus some other stuff to let them manage subscriptions), and another AD security group ProjectUsers with
just Read access so they can open the reports. The data source used by this report has the AD security group I mentioned before, Reports-All,
    with Read.
At a SharePoint level, things appear to work. When a user in ProjectManagers or ProjectUsers browses
to the library, they see only the 3 reports that those two security groups have permission to see (out of a lot more in the library). That means SharePoint is reading those security group memberships correctly as far as I can tell.
The issue is when a user in ProjectManagers or ProjectUsers clicks
on a report, they get a reporting server based error message, and the ULS logs have an error specific to the user trying to run the report.
Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions granted to user 'MyDomain\MyUser' are insufficient for performing this operation. (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.ReportingServices.ServiceContract.RsExceptionInfo)
If I add that specific user with Read permissions to the report and the data source, they are then able to run the report without errors. It seems like some Report Server component is not liking the fact that I'm using security groups.
Has anyone seen this behavior with AD security groups? Any ideas on why my environment does not want to work properly with those even though AD security groups are working fine for other non-Reporting Services files?
    Thanks,
    Aaron

    Hi aaronzott,
According to your description, you configured SSRS 2012 of SharePoint integrated mode. You added read permission to reports and data source to AD security group Reports-All, then added just read permission to ProjectManagers and ProjectUsers groups. When
users in ProjectManagers or ProjectUsers groups click report, the error message occurred. After you added Read permissions to the report and the data source to the groups, they can preview the report without errors.
Report definition permissions are defined through List permissions on the library that contains the report, but we can set permissions on individual reports if we want to restrict access. Set properties on a report including data source connection information,
processing options, and parameter properties. Edit Items on the library that contains the report or on the individual report. We also need to have view permissions on a shared data source (.rsds) to select it for use with the report.
For more information about Set Permissions for Report Server Operations in a SharePoint Web Application, please refer to the following document:

  • Outlook 2010 Contact Group Issue

We have a Public Folder Distribution List (Contact Group) that is accessible to several users. There are two significant issues:
When changes are made to the list, they are not always saved. For example if I enter a contact "Jon Smith" with email information, and then realize it should be "John Smith" and correct it, in  many cases when I next open/use the
list the contact info has reverted back to "Jon Smith". This appears to occur at random.
Returning emails sometimes have sender addresses that are incorrect, i.e. an item sent to "John Smith" (a list member) will reach him, but his reply comes back as "Don Jones"
In addition, we get locked out of this list at random intervals. Our environment is Exchange Server (I believe it's 2010, not 100% sure) and Outlook 2010 clients.
    Any insight is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve Macey

    Hi,
So this is a Public Folder Distribution List, please first check if you have the right permission to update it.
Any other users having the same issue? Please share me the exact steps of how you modify the email information in the Contract Group.
For the second issue, do you mean it's only the name that displays incorrect, but the email address is actually right? Please check if you have the "Don Jones" contact (in your case) in your address book, which has the same address info filled as "John
    Smith", the expected one.

  • GL Clearing - JVA - Equity Group issue

    Hi SAP team,
Would anybody know a solution regarding clearing GL accounts (many years of  FI outstanding open items) which could reflect the correct Equity Group setting (50% - 50%)?
Problem is that it first started as partnership 50%- 50%, then it changed to 40%-60%, then recently to  30%-70%. (valid to date)
GL clearing with documents related to partnership 50%-50% are reflecting the recent 30%- 70% partnership instead.
How can we control the balance before and after clearing between in 50-50% partnership?
    Regards
    Roger

Thank you Venkata. This is of some use.
you are correct. Affects master data.
Master data in this case has already been changed into different EQ Groups. Now, we are facing a request to clear 55.000 open items.
some items refers to old E Groups, some from current EQ Groups. We are not sure how this clearing (that will only touch recent EQ Gr) will affect the old ones.
If you ever faced anything like that and knows a way of making the clearing more realistic (i.e. document related to EQ G1 to be cleared and reflect EQ G1....clearing of open items from EQ Gr 2 to reflect on EQ Gr2 and so on.)
    Regards,
    Roger
