Grouping '# of Tasks' per Contact for Graph

I'm trying to report in a Graph that: X amount of people have 1 task under their record and Y amount of people have 2 tasks under their record. It seems to work if I list each Contact ID, but I want to plot it on a graph. I've tried different formuals, but the amounts do not add up. Can anyone help please? thank-you.

No, I was really asking for the formula so that all the people with one task would be grouped together and all the people with more than one would be grouped together. I used a CaseIf but it didn't capture them all. Luckily a colleague has been able to provide the additional formula needed.

  • How do I create a group of e-mail contacts for my iPhone, iPad

    How do you create contact groups for e-mail for iPhone 3GS AND IPAD 2  ?

    GContacts is for both the iPhone and iPad. It can be found in the US App Store. Don't know what country you're in so I can't say for sure you can find it in your App Store. If you do a search on "contacts" in your App Store you should be able to find some contact manager apps.
    There is a way to create a contact with a group of email addresses.
    1. In Notes app create a list of email addresses separated by a comma.  Example [email protected],[email protected] Highlight the list and copy.
    2. In Contacts create a new contact and give it the name of the group you want.
    3. In the email field paste the list of email addresses.
    Note: you are probably wondering why you have to copy and paste the addresses into the email field. If you try to type the list into the email field, you will find that there is no way to type a comma in this field.
    4. Save the contact.
    5. When you create an email, select the group entry from contacts.
    You may get a message that the email address is invalid, but ignore the error, because the email should still be sent to all addresses.

  • How can I specify which contacts group is my preferred/default for my iPhone?

    Similar situation as others I've seen...
    My wife and I share an iTunes account.  We also use that account for our iCloud account.  We want to share our calendar(s) with each other.  We enjoy having access to the number of contact groups we've put together over the years.
    I want to be able to designate one of the contact groups as my default reference for my iPhone so that when I recieve messages and calls they are recognized by the identifiers in my phone's contacts list (not as if they are my wife's contacts).  Sure, we could set up multiple iCloud accounts...  We feel we shouldn't have to, besides, that wouldn't allow us to share our calenders and contacts anymore.  It seems to my that the most "Apple" way of fixing this would be to have a "Settings" option in the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" - particularly in the "Contacts" grouping to have a "Primary Contacts Group" (if more than one is detected) option to choose from.
    Is this something that can be done or do I need to submit this as a requested future feature to something like the Apple Bug Reporter?
    Thanks all!

    Is there a way to specify which network card (IP
    address) that the jvm will use as default? (Whenever
    opening a connection such as URL.openConnection,
    sockets without specifying the local address etc.)No there isn't, but if you are only talking about outbound connections and the network cards are on distinct subnets, unicast routing will ensure that the most appropriate outbound NIC is used for the target IP address, so configure your firewall accordingly.

    Olga, this is not a default feature in iPhone. You need a 3rd party application. I have created a free one, Easy Group, for group texting and group emailing.

    Create your group on your computer, and sync it on your iPhone. But you cannot use this group for texting. You need an application for this. Easy Group is a free one I have developped.

    That's because you can't.  You make the contact group on the computer application with which you're synching your contacts.  Or you can find an app in the app store.

  • Max phone numbers per contact in the phonebook for...

    Hi,
    I have Nokia 5300 which is running s40. I also have a Nokia N70 which is running s60.
    Nokia N70 can store more than 5 phone numbers per contact where as 5300 can only store 5 which i found out when i tried sending a business vCard. I was wondering whether this is a problem because of the s40 version on 5300 and whether there is a software update for this. If not, i would just like to know what is the reason (out of curiosity - is it the 5300 hardware and runs s40 or something else ...).
    Thanks & Regards,
    PS: I found out that Phonebook is part of the OS/firmware for the phone.

    The S40 Nokia operating system - what the 5300 is based on - is in many ways simpler & more limited than S60/Symbian. (In some ways it is also more efficient and at least simpler/smaller.)

  • Any way to put alot of addresses in one contact for a group e-mail?

    Any way to put alot of addresses in one group contact to send to many people at once. Want to be able to click one contact name, say "Club Members" and the e-mail go to all of them at once.
    Thanks,

    You make separate contact for each and put them all in one group. Then, type the group name into the To box.

  • Create view that shows resource work in hours per month for top level tasks on the project

    I'm relatively new to project so hopefully this is easy.
    The management for the organization I am working at now wants me to break out every resource on the projects hours by top level tasks per month. Resource usage gets very close but I can't figure out how to make it show only the top level tasks. Does anyone
    have any ideas on how to do this?

    Hi Nick,
    I'd suggest (assuming you're working with Project Standard, not connected to Project Server) to generate a visual Excel report (project tab of the ribbon, then visual report), choosing the Budget work report template. Then in Excel, inserting the resource
    and task column, you'll see the work consolidated at any task level by resources.
    See reference below:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/project/archive/2006/05/08/visual-reports.aspx
    Hope this helps,

  • HT3529 can you set up and save groups of more than 10 contacts for imessages for future use?

    can you set up and save groups of more than 10 contacts for imessages for future use?

    It can be done by creating a contact for that group which includes all their email addresses all separated by a comma or semicolon. You may have to format it just right depending on the email service you're using. Also, you will have to type this out in Notes first in order to be able to get the punctuation in there, then copy & paste the entire list into the email field of the new contact.

  • How to send emails from an iPad to a group set up in contacts?

    Apple Contacts "groups" show up in iOS7 contacts on my iPad, synced from iMac.
    But I cannot get the group list of contacts to enter automatically into "to" on the iPad as happens automatically on the desktop iMac.  So the "groups" on the iPad really doesn't have any functionality other than giving one a list of who is in a group per my assignment on my iMac.
    So I end up entering manually each individual in a group in the "to" line when I want to send an email to a group from my iPad. On the iMac, selecting a contacts group will automatically list the addresses of the people I have put into a group.  A known problem, and any solution?

    Thanks.  So matters haven't changed.  Ipad and iohone systems still not make use of the groups created in OSX Contacts, although one can "see" the groups synced through iCloud.  They just do not function as real distribution lists in Mail.
    With the Mailshot app, one creates Mailshot groups with Mailshot group name.  It's as smooth as a work around can get.
    Silly that Apple iOS folks never got around to connecting the contact groups now listed in iOS Contacts through iCloud syncing to also be fully functional in iOS Mail for the purpose of group emailing.

  • How can I remove 300 groups from my iCloud Contacts?

    My OS X Address Book started out with about 10 groups, but now iCloud.com has about 300 groups.
    The replication arose because of a bug in how iCloud handles a mixture of Address Book Cards with both OS X and Windows line terminated Notes (LF vs. CRLF - it helps if you once used a typewriter).
    I figured out how to convert Address Book to all LF terminated line feeds and I was able to get iCloud.com working on a different account, but my core account is stuck with 300 groups (some replicated 50 times).
    I know how to delete all Cards/Contacts in iCloud.com Contacts, but, unfortunately that doesn't remove Groups. (Groups have an interesting behavior in iCloud, almost as though Apple has a special plan for them.)
    I can delete Groups one at a time on iCloud.com, but that's tedious. Unfortunately deleting them on Address Book, and trusting in sync to clear up iCloud.com, is equally tedious.
    Has anyone heard of a way to delete all Groups on iCloud or Address Book 6? Perhaps an AppleScript?
    Has anyone heard of Apple resetting a corrupt iCloud account to clear out bad data? (I have a clean version of Address Book I can use to restart -- that, by the way, is harder than you'd think. Again because Groups are special).
    Advice appreciated. If I get some free time I might take may laptop by the Genius bar and see what they say...

    I figured this out. In this case I didn't care about my Contacts, I had them elsewhere. My problem was my iCloud acount was "poisoned" with massive replication of 'Groups'. Even after I deleted all the Contacts I still had hundreds of Groups to get rid of. Manual deletion was too tedious.
    The answer was a simple AppleScript (I'm on ML on the machine i ran this on, so it's "contacts" rather than Address Book:
    tell application "Contacts"
              repeat 50 times
                        set theGroup to group "MyGroupName"
      delete theGroup
              end repeat
    save
    end tell
    Since I had the same Group Names replicated about 100 times each, I only had to run this about 10 times to clear them all out. When I got to smaller numbers I had to drop the repeat count. I changed the Group name as I went.
    Took me about five minutes.
    I'm sure an AppleScripter could turn this into a general script for removing all groups all at once. Or could get very clever, and only remove groups that had no contacts (so one could salvage the group/contact relationships).
    I didn't need that. My problem has been fixed.
    I think sync works a LOT better in ML than Lion btw. iCloud updated very quickly.

  • VBA to identify a group of tasks being updated

    Good Afternoon,
    I have not had much luck with Project questions here, but now that I have dug a little deeper I think I can ask a question that you may be able to help with. If any of you know of a better place to find Project VBA advice, please let me know!
    This question is also gathering dust over at UA. http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/Custom-Macros-Project-20-t2022616.html
    First off, I am writing a macro that is triggered when a task is updated in project. I used the code from this page as a starting point.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee...fice.12%29.aspx
    The macro I wrote works well. I changed the code up a bit so that it runs each time the user sets a task to 100% complete. When the user sets a task to 100% complete, the macro pulls today's date and adds it to the custom date field (Date2).
    My next challenge is to warn the user if they update start or finish dates for a task with a specific tag in a text field (Text15). This new functionality will be embedded with the previous functionality I already wrote. Here is the problem. When I need to
    update a bunch of tasks, or when I update one task that changes other tasks due to links, the event is triggered for each and every task. This creates lots of message boxes that I don't need.
    On the surface this makes sense because I want to know each time a task changes, but from a practicality standpoint I only need to be notified once for each group of tasks that are updated. For example, if I update one date, and linking causes 10 other dates
    to change, I only want to be notified once. Similarly, if I highlight and change multiple dates I only want to get warned about it once, not once for each task.
    To achieve this I think I need to access some kind of collection that represents the set of tasks that are being updated as a result of user input. This is where I need help. I am not sure how to access this information.
    For your information here are the code elements I have written for the existing macro.
    This section goes in "ThisProject":
    <code>
    Private Sub Project_Open(ByVal pj As Project)
       EnableEvents
    End Sub
    </code>
    This section goes in a module named "modTaskUpdate":
    <code>
    Public TskUpdate As New clsTaskUpdate
    Sub EnableEvents()
       Set TskUpdate.App = MSProject.Application
    End Sub
    </code>
    Finally, this section goes in a Class Module named "clsTaskUpdate":
    <code>
    Public WithEvents App As MSProject.Application
    Private Sub App_ProjectBeforeTaskChange(ByVal tsk As Task, ByVal Field As Long, ByVal NewVal As Variant, Cancel As Boolean)
    'Code for managing 100% complete and Date Completed
    '(This part works OK, see the next section for the code I need to modify)
        If ((Field = pjTaskPercentComplete) And (NewVal = 100)) Then
            'Add today's date to completed date field
            'MsgBox "Adding today's date: " & Date & " to the Date2(DateCompleted) field."
            tsk.Date2 = Date
        End If
        If ((Field = pjTaskPercentComplete) And (NewVal = 0)) Then
            'Remove date from completed date field
            'MsgBox "Removing date from the Date2(DateCompleted) field."
            tsk.Date2 = ""
        End If
    'Code for managing warnings to user if PST dates will change.
    ' Currently this message is triggered for each task that causes a change.
    ' Can we only trigger this task once for each group of changed dates?
        If ((Field = pjTaskStart) Or (Field = pjTaskFinish)) Then
            If (insrt(tsk.Text15, "PST") <> 0) Then
                MsgBox "Warning! You have changed a date that is linked to a line in the PST. As a result the PST has been automatically updated."
            End If
        End If
    End Sub
    </code>
    FYI: The PST is an external Excel file that has its values automatically update via linked cells in Project.
    Thank you for your time and consideration.
    Please let me know if you have any questions.
    Nate

    Nate,
    Yes, as far as I know, there is no "collection" of task changes. Remember, a collection is a group of objects and a change isn't an object.
    I see you found one of the posts I responded to regarding paste links. If you have ABSOLUTE file discipline management, then you might be okay with paste links, but since there is a much better alternative (i.e. VBA) to do what you need I'd avoid the paste
    link idea. As Clint Eastwood said in his Dirty Harry movie, "Do you feel lucky?"
    There have been various posts with code to export Project data to Excel. Unfortunately I find the search capabilities of these forums to be sorely lacking so rather than a link, here is some sample code you can adapt.
