You can create multiple tabs and assign a tab for each topic/subject or anything of your chice ..

Person DFF Context Value based on 2 criteria (Business Group and Emp Type)?

We're implementing HR module into multiple business groups.
I need to define context value for DFF "Additional Personal Details" based on 2 criteria Business Group ID and Employee Type
Any idea how to do it?

Hello Elie,
I am not sure on it,However have you tried creating a context with combination of Business Group and Person Type using merging,
business_group_id || "_"|| person_type_id And structures would be something like 80_2112 Business Group id = 80 and Person Type id=2112.
It may resolve your issue if this works out.

CiscoWorks user options "device type groups|switch and Hubs"

Hi,
We are using CiscoWorks software to deploy new configuration to our network devices. Because our environnement is mixed about version of network devices we have to create a new netconfig job for each device model, because in some plate-forme configuration option, syntax maybe different of each other.
When I create a new netconfig job with my username under "device type groups|switch and Hubs" I have a list there of all plate-forme we have in our production environnement managed by CiscoWorks software. I know thoses group was'nt define by on of us and thoses are define by default in CiscoWorks software, but they are hiden by default per user basic.
We have a new one in our team, I had created his user name and password, but I can find the option where I can asked to make visible to him plate-form device type group as I have in my user configuration.
Also, is it possible to copy private define group to an other user without to make thoses as public ?

if he clic on the plus sing to develop group "Switches and Hubs" he see all switches and hub managed by CiscoWorks software. I know He did not create Cisco Catalyst 2912 XL Switch and Cisco Catalyst 2924 XL Switch group in my profile. I know we have to modify an option in CiscoWorks per user basic to view those group, the person who where that option should be modifiy is currently in vacation, but he will need that option enable before our specialist will be back !

Account group and Account Type.

Could you please tell me the diferences between GL Account group (by example cash, expense, revenue ....) which we define in IMG - Financial Accounting - General Ledger Accounting - G/L Accounts - Master Records - Preparations - Define Account Group and Account Type (by example: Vendor, Customer, Material, GL Account) which is in the screen "create account type" IMG - Financial Accounting - Financial Accounting Global Settings - Document - Document Header - Define Document Types ?

Hi
Account Group Controls the Master records. It controls the number range of Master record and Field status group (Supress, Required, Optional and Display) also. SAP follows a Grouping principle all throughout SAP to handle the Master Records that may be in GL, AR AP any thing. See to create a GL Account group you define at OBD4 there itself you assign the Number Range or those groups which also controls Field Staus of GL Master Records. And for Creating AR and AP Master Records you create at OBD2 and Vendor at OBD3 which will also controls Field Status Group of And Number range of Master record. The only difference between GL and AR/AP is assigning of number range. For GL will specify at OBD4 itself but for AR/AP we need to create a number range at FBN1 then assign to AR And AP at OBD2 and OBD3 respectively.
One more thing. Remember only Field Status group of Master recard (OBD2, OBD3, OBD4) only contain Display option but not to Posting Key or Field Satus Group (OB41 or OBC4). I am so specifing becoz I commited this mistake in one interview.
In summary, the account group controls:
i) The number ranges of the accounts,
ii) The status of the fields in the company code segment of the master record. Since a chart of accounts contains many different types of accounts, they can be bundled into different "account groups ". Usually one account group bundles
accounts with the same tasks within the general ledger, e. g. cash accounts, material accounts, asset accounts, profit and loss

LSO- Course Groups and Course Types are not displayed in Spanish

We are having issues with the
data like Course Groups and Course Types not being displayed in
Spanish on the Learning Iview.
The Data in the Course Catalog is loaded in Spanish and
English and I can see the Course Catalog in Spanish when logging on in Spanish in the back end.
SAP asked us to apply few notes as below
#1247020 OTR: Texts are not transported
#448220 OTR: Text is not determined/incorrect text is displayed
We have applied the above as well and we had no solution.
However the Problem is NOT related to Texts/Labels as these are displayed in Spanish.
The Problem is related to the data like Course Groups and Course types not being displayed in Spanish in the front end.
SAP also came up with the below which did not help either.
The system will pick the language texts in the sequence
maintained in the view T778L. If the system does not find text in
login langauge , the application will search in the sequence
maintained in the view T778L .Therefore you can change the sequence
of the languages in the above view as per your requirement.
Let me know if anyone has a solution to this or has encountered the same problem.

Is this production or is this in a development system? The dropdown displayed comes from the standard tables. If it's working in development system and not in production, then the chances are higher that the translation didn't go through.

Filtering R/3 Material Groups and Material Types

Hi,
I am trying to filter the Material groups and material types during master data upload from R/3 to SRM 4.0
I am tried doing the following:
1. In Txn R2AR2, i set up the request for DNL_CUST_PROD1 for MARA-MATKL(Material Group) & MARA-MTART(Material Type)and then run the Txn R3AR4 with DNL_CUST_PROD1. The replication was successful, but it pulled in all the R/3 backend material groups and material types.
Now i deleted the replicated material types and Material groups in SRM using SRM Std reports and this too was successful.
2. Now i tried another method - In Txn R3AC3, i selected the Object DNL_CUST_PROD1 and i added table MARA and set up the filter requirements for MARA-MTART(Material Types) and MARA-MATKL(Material Groups), i synchronized the filters and then when i selected the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 in Txn R3AS for initial upload, even this is pulling in all the material types and material groups from R/3 without filtering
Can anyone please let me know the exact procedure to filter out the R/3 Material types and material groups during initial upload of this data into SRM 4.0

Before starting the INitial load for MATERIAL,for filetr settings ,Go in tcode R3AC1.
There select the Object name as MATERIAL and click on the "filter settings" tab.
There in OBJECT FILTER SETTINGS
Enter the relevant filter criteria:
e.g. If you wnat to filter on Material type(MARA-MTART):
The input will be as follows:
Table /Structure :MARA
Field :MTART
OP :EQ Equality (= Low)
Low: "Material type name"
Incl/EXcl: Inclusive defined
And then click on the button "FILTER SYNC".
The filter settings are complete for the Material download.

Link between code and code groups and inspection type

I want to know the link between code and Code Group for UD and inspection type?
There is an option of choosing Usage selected set in SPRO "Seeting for inspection type".If i dont enter anything there,will it show all the code groups in the system while taking UD?

Hi Shreya,
Yes, the link between code and Code Group for UD and inspection type is specific selection of UD related to specific inspection type. Ex. there are separate UD codes individually for Goods receipt against PO, Gr against Production or for In-process inspection ets. so If you assign the selected sets at SPRO Inspection type, then while doing UD system will show UD codes related to only that inspection type.
If you don't enter anything there at SPRO, you will see all the code groups in the system while taking UD and one can get confused in selecting the relevant code.
so assigning of UD selected sets, plant wise (tick) at " Inspection types" is best practice.

Can I insert the purchase group and procurement type in the layout of tcode CK86_99 and CK86 when we have a material item ?
I have seen that we can define the control parameters for the Product Cost Controlling Information System.
Tcode OKN0 but we have only the basic fields and we haven't the specific fields for division.

Hello Marco,
I do not think you have any options to change the layout except for the fields that are available in the transaction screen. It is a standard report and is not a one based on report painter layouts. It would be helpful if you can consult an ABAP person who can throw some light or create a report for you.

Reg. checkbox by group and simple types

Hi,
I have checkbox by group UI elemnet.
I have binded the text property of the checkbox by group to a context attribute and its type property is selected from a simple type.
In the view layout on NWDS its showing the label names which i hav given in the simple type. but when i deploy it and run it in browser its just showing only one check box. its not showing the label names.
how to get the label names, using simple types. i,m able to get it using code.
how to get it by simpletype???

Group Items and Change Scale Using CS3 VBScript

How do you select items in a textframe (text and/or graphic and/or rectangle), then group them and then set the group to a horizontal & vertical scale value?

What would be the best way to do that? As an example I would have 8 textframes threaded together (each frame is a stamp, this script is for reducing the image to print the label that goes on the top of the stamp). Some frames could only be text, some only a graphic, some both, some blank. Below is an example of what have so far. This works if the frame is only text.

Gap between Trim and Textframe

Sort of a "geometric solution", especially if your text frame is rotated and/or skewed:
use a helper rectangle the size and position of your desired trim box, combine the text frame with the helper rectangle to a group and check if the geometric bounds of the group are different to the helper rectangle.
WARNING:
I have to point out that this solution is pure theory, because you cannot be sure that part of single characters or applied effects to the text frame like drop shadows will not exceed the helper rectangle. Or imagine the case where a table sticks out of the geometric bounds of the text frame and violates the trim box.
For that advanced cases you need a rendered pixel representation (e.g. of an exported pdf) and you have to do cross-scripting InDesign to PhotoShop with bridgeTalk to check if there are any pixels violating the bounds of your trim box. Not an easy task.
