Groups does not work in Mail under Mavericks
Its not just smart groups, by I cannot get any of my Groups to work with Mail under Mavericks. I am weary of having to type out the address for each person separately. Is there some better way?
I don't know why typing he name of a regular group does not work for you, but…
Another way is to open the address panel, select a group, then select all in the group, then click the two button.

I already wasted several hours trying to find solution for a problem which appeared with Lion, search function does not work, in mail at least.
I was not using Leopard before and I am not a mac expert.
(search function was already bad in the normal it was already bad in the normal 10.7 set up but at least it was working in mac mails).
I tried reindexing via spotlight privacy settings (adding and removing HD) but does not work much better.
I don't want to go to terminal, as as mentioned I don't know enough about mac to try this.
What to do?

After upgrading from Mountain Lion to Mavericks and reindexing my mails, "Mail" does not find anything when using the built-in search feature (neither does Spotlight). I tried removing the envelop files in the Library folder (- reindexing), deleting + adding email accounts within Mail, and removing / adding the mail folder to Spotlight (following Apple's suggestion (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2409)). Interestingly enough, when re-adding the mail folder to Spotlight, nothing seems to happen.
I have the impression that this could be related to the fact that I have my mails stored within an encrypted archive file (sparse bundle). Therefore the Library folder does not contain the Mail archive directly but refers to a disk volume via an alias. I had no problems with this prior to Mavericks.
Does anyone have similar issues? Any ideas how this could be solved?

have now reconciled to the idea that the 'to' name will not show, only the 'from' name,
so, sorted the trash box by 'to'. (by clicking the top area to 'sort by to'
then started going down and looking at each emails header to see if all the listings were in order of 'to',

IPhoto does not work properly in os mavericks
The Instant slideshow format only displays one slide and the sequence then terminates. Using "Select All" and playing the sequence causes the sequence to display in reverse order. Bizarrely any asssociated music plays the right way.

Word attachments does not work in mail with Snow Leopard
I have installed Snow Leopard - and now I cannot attach word files to my mail (it seems as if word files in 2008 format work but not the .doc). I click the file just to find out if it is the right one I have attached - this leaves me with a message tat the file cannot be opened by Mail.
What can I do?It is a known problem, and bug report has been filed about not being able to open some files in the Compose window while preparing a message. Hopefully will be fixed by the next update. Is there another dimension to the problem you are reporting? If you save the message as a Draft, close, and then reopen from the Draft mailbox, does the file then open?

Has anyone had this scanner working with the Apple drivers? Mavericks still adds this scanner and even gives it the correct icon in the dock. But, the CYMK channels are offset making the output images unusable. Surely this must be a driver fault which has been long standing, before Mavericks. I get the impression it is a generic driver that just maybe recognises an epson scanner and just does what it always does without taking too much care to adapt to the scanner itself. Such as shame as the Apple scanning software is otherwise very good.
Anyone know how to inform Apple they have a problem with the driver? Just to let them know...
Of course there is handmade solution by using Photoshop and move channels each other but frankly...

Air play does not work after installation of maverick
After installing of Maverick the connection with Apple tv is not possible. All other devices, i-phone 5 and i-pad, are working.
I have never liked using Network Manager with Oracle. If you use traditional ifup, you can use SCPM and have different profiles. The first 2 things I do during an install of Suse Linux that will have Oracle 10g is disable Network Manager and disable IPv6. Go to /etc/hosts and remove all entries that have the IPv6 addresses. The 10g OC4J applications from database and application servers have problems with IPv6 addressing. Make note of your current DNS addresses and your route before reconfiguring to ifup. Use route -n to get the router address if you do not already know it. It is the gateway with values. It is also a good idea to configure your wired ethernet device to start on boot up, then you can ping your hostname whether or not your cable becomes disconnected, i.e. still access dbconsole with the router down.

Aperture 3.5.1 was working well enough for me in Mountain Lion, but it seems that switching to Mavericks has made it slower, made it crash frequently and also given me frequent messages that the database is corrupt and I need to rebuild the database library, which I have done multiple times. I also use Aperture for Photo Stream, and it is especially slow and problematic there. Any ideas? Should I just use iPhoto instead? I'm more familiar with the flow in Aperture and would need to learn how better to use iPhoto, so that would be a last resort for me.

Is all your software compatible with Mavericks? Plug-ins, external editors, preference panes, device drivers, video codecs? Did you install any other software, when you upgraded to Mavericks?
Where is your Aperture library? On your system drive or external drive?
Does Aperture also crash, if you launch it while holding down the Shift key? -
Why authorization for cost center groups does not worked ?

I would like to give authorization for a CO report (S_ALR_87013625) based on authorization values : cost center groups.
But, unfortunately, it doesn't work. I get a message : No authorization for x of x read records.
Is it only possible to give authorization on standard hierarchy and cost center ?

3 finger swipe does not work in finder after mavericks upgrade
I used to navigate in finder by swiping with 3 fingers left or right. This still works in Safari. It even works when navigation through system preferences but not in finder. I looked at the options in the track pad preferences and all the gesture options are the same as before. I loved the 3 finger gesture because it made navigation through folders a breeze.
Go to System Prefernces and Trackpad or Mouse, depending on which you are using, and see that the gestures you want to use are all checked.

Canon Pixma MP520 does not work with Airport under Leopard
Before this printer MP520 worked without any problem.
After installing Leopard, I can print through USB but not through Airport.
I installed all latest updates for Leopard, firmware for Airport and even the latest Canon driver.
I can see the printer in my Bonjour list. Then it looks like it's connecting and then an error window pops up. Error A 306, print attempt failing.
I also restarted Airport with and without printer connected.

Launchd does not work on Volumes under /Volumes during startup any more
Hi folks,
we have many launchd jobs launching scripts, binaries and resources from Volumes that are mounted in /Volumes. That worked fine so far.
Now with 10.5.8 the Volumes in /Volumes are mounted after launchd has started up LaunchDaemons. That means I cannot start anything that uses resources outside of the root volume during system boot; e. g. our Sybase database is located on a different volume, and now it cannot be started during system start any more.
Apple Care has confirmed this change of behaviour.
Is there any workaround for this restriction? We would have to repartition and move lots of stuff to get along with that.
Any hint or help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is not a standard HTML feature and no wonder this is not supported by IE. I copied the generated html codes into test.html to try on IE, the button does not work at all.
Firefox is probably lenient here. True. test.html works in Firefox.
You might want to just have a link or do a form submission on button click.The action designed does not need an actionForm. I updated my code to :<html:button onclick="location.href='processSearch'"

PS CS5 Shape Tool Hexagon Corner Smoothing
For the love of it I simply cannot figure out how to change the "corner radius" for the shape tool's polygon tool. I set it to 6 sides and with SMOOTHED CORNERS off, it creates a hexagon as expected. But if I turn on SMOOTHED CORNERS, it almost make
