Groupware configuration

Hi
When a create a room with the standard SAP meeting room template i add some memebers with different roles.When ai login as a memeber an error occurs saying
'No connection to groupware server (Invalid RID: No repository manager found: /calendar). Refresh this screen or contact your system administrator if the problem persists.'
I tried configuring the calendar repository reffering the config guide.
I went into system administration->system configuration->KM->content management->Repository managers->calendar repository.There was nothing configured.When i clicked on new, there was a drop down for default transport.the config guide asks me to choose exchange transport.But this drop down is not populated with any values.It only has the value 'not set'.
I also went intosystem administration->system configuration->KM->collaboration->groupware transports->the exchange transport and the lotus transport were empty.But the mail transport has been configured.
Could you pls tell me what i am supposed to do to configure the calendar repository?

Hi Vidhya,
First,a slight clarification of fundas; the mail transport is iused for emails... while MeetingRoom, Availibility, RoomCalendar and MyAppointments use Groupware Connectivity, which consists of the Calendar Repository Manager and Transport/Connector to the Groupware server.
To configure groupware you need----
The first step is installing and configuring a Groupware Tansport(lotus or exchange). To summarize, the installation involves the deployment of the remote components(MSX-A components on IIS server in case of excange, and remote servlet on a servlet engine in case of Lotus). Then in the EP navigate to "system administration->system configuration->KM->collaboration->groupware transports" create your transport and give the default values.
Now add this transport to the Calendar RM's config...(don't forget to activate it and restart the servlet engine!)
Now, all that should be left is saving your user-mapping data(in personalize->user-mapping) for the exchange/Lotus systems... and checking out your appointments!!

Groupware connector ERR: 7002

Hi Gurus,
We doing Groupware configuration for CRM 2007 to Lotuns Nots.
In Groupware connector all the email id's are stuck in " Queue(USER) Maintenance / Current Locks" with ErrCode 7002.
7002 Database not available: mailID = %s.
Description: Database exists in the Groupware server but is not available to the administrative account. Possible reasons - not enough rights.
Resolution: Verify folder access rights.
Did anyone face this problem before, if yes , can you please share the solution.

What we found the description of the error and identified that it is pointing to the production database.
[ERR: 7002]: Database exists in the Groupware server but is not available to the administrative account: NotesException: [ID: 4060]: User CN=CRM Connector/OU=GEN/O=LtcUnion cannot open database Ltco01/srv/Ltcunion!!mail\JBurton.NSF: mail\LBurton.NSF on server
Ltco01/srv/Ltcunion: [lotus.domino.NotesException]</
Where as our database for test server is LTOJTC9/SRV/LTCUnion.
Lotus Notes Client what we have installed shows the test database Server only.
How and where to change this in GW connector?

Groupware: reminders

Hi group (hi Praveen!)
I'm finishing groupware configuration, but I have one problem left to solve. CRM activities are not replicating to OL with reminders. I've done the img activities regarding reminders (ACTION = DISPLAY, TRIGGER = - PT30M), but it's not working.
Do you have any suggestions?

Though I havent tried this before I can suggest trying out
these options
In IMG Customizing
1)Set Property Value REPDURA as PT15M.
2)Set TRIGGER as -PT5M.
3)Set ACTION as DAUDIO/DISPLAY/PROCEDURE.
Do a GW* download and restart MapBox.Let me know if it worked.

How to configure and use Groupware portlets in weblogic portal 10.3.2

Hello All,
Weblogic 10.2 (home = c:\bea\102) and Weblogic 10.3.2 ( home = c:\bea\103) are installed on our systems and we downloaded the" wl_groupware_portlets_oracle103-10.3.0_win32.exe " file from "edelivery.oracle.com" and tried to install then it gave some exception for tool.properties file. To run it in 10.3.2 we copied tools folder from c:\bea\102 to c:\bea\103 and then setup ran successfully in c:\bea\103.
But still groupware facet in not visible in IDE.
Any quick help would be highly appreciated.

Oracle WebLogic Portlets for Groupware Integration Login Configuration

I just integrated the groupware portlets into the portal, anyone knows how to config to get the microsoft exchange information.
Currently when I am running the portal, it will prompt me 'you must login to use this portlet', but I haven't found where to login.

I think that you are running into a requirement to authenticate to WebLogc Portal/Server, not Microsoft Exchange.
In order to subsequently collect your Exchange account, the portal must know your identity so that it can associate the Exchange credentials with your WLP username.
You'll need to add login capabilities to your desktop in order to proceed. A quick and easy way to do this is to include the DVT Sample library modules as the look and feels that come with that sample include login/logout capabilities in the shell.

Email Integration VS Groupware Integration in CRM 4.0

We have a requirement to replicate certain business activity types created in CRM thru' Portal interface to Lotus Notes as Calendar entries. We are in the process
of configuring the Groupware integration part to accomplish this.
The questions are...
1) Do we have to download all account and their contacts from CRM into the public folder of Lotus Notes for the successful creation of CRM activities
as Lotus Note Calendar entries?
2) Can we filter the replication of activities to Lotus Notes by their transaction types? We need to send only certain activity types to Lotus notes.
We have lots of Email notifications to be sent to the company's Lotus Notes Email IDs as well as some external Email IDs. If an Action or Workflow is used
for these Email notifications it is my understanding that the SMTP comes with SAP CRM will take care of this Email routing. The groupware integration is not a
must for such Email notifications and it s required only for the replication of Activities to Lotus Notes. Please clarify.
Please let me know the details of configuration or any cookbooks available for the configuration of Email Integration and Groupware integration in CRM 4.0.

Iam not sure about Email notifications.
But you can create Activities in CRM and invite attendees and these attendees will get the Meeting requests provided the "Calendar Maintenance" flag is set for them.

SAP EP & Groupware e-mail

Hi,
I am trying to send and receive e-mails from the SAP EP 6.0 and I always get the message :
No e-mail address is configured for the user <name>
I also used the SAPPXchTest.exe and it leads to an authentication failure (Basic & Kerberos) where as the user exists and the password is correct.
I have created an Exchange system with the information about the mail server, the logon method. I have also configured the Mail Transport and the Exchange Transport.
When I do outlook /checkclient, the CDO is not installed ? Do I need to install it ?
Is it mandatory to install it on the Exchange Server or can it be installed with Outlook ?
Is there a good documentation to ensure the Groupware integration of MS Exchange (e-mail+calendar) within SAP EP 6.0 ?

How to configure mail server for subscription

Hi,
I want to test subscription. My problem is how to configure the mail server.
As to my understanding, we need first configure mail server, then the user can choose "Subscribe" in the Details screen of a folder.
My steps are:
1. In KM - CM - Utilities - Channels, specify SMTP server, userId and password.
2. In KM - CM - Utilities - Channel originators, set the Original address for notificator.EMAIL.
3. In KM - Collaboration - Groupware Transport - Mail Transport, specify SMTP server and sent message folder.
After that, when I choose a user and click "Send email", it failed saying "Failed to communicate with SMTP server when sending the email.".
Could anyone tell me what's wrong with my configuration, or what should I do to make subscription work?

According to your steps:
1. set up a mail transport and making notification and mailing service active.
In System admin - KM - CM - Global services, I've enabled Inbox, Mailing and Notification services.
In KM - CM - Collaboration - Groupware Transport, I've set up a mail transport:
Name: JavaMailTransport
SMTP Server: smtp.yahoo.com
Sent message folder: /documents
System alias name: mytransport
2. Give everyone read permission on notifications in KM.
Where can I set user's permission on notifications? I think you mean folder /etc/notifications, but I don't know how to set permissions.
3. Check if proper id's are maintained in users profile.
How to do this?

You have to create a System for Groupware through System Administration ->System Configuration -> system LandScape
Then create a Groupwaretransport
implement SSO between your Mail server and your EP...
and finally
Create a Mail service...

What is a transport and how to configure it?

I am using NW 04 Patch 11.
When users go to home->work there is a calander there.
The calander is not active and there is a message there:
"No transport has been configured for the calendar".
Can someone please explain me how do I get this calander to work, how do I configure a transport and is it possible to connect this calander to the user's exchange calander?

the Exchange server to the portal.
@Roy: yes, it should be possible to connect this to the users Exchange calendar. This calendar is part of the
Microsoft Exchange Connectivity Architecture. You can find a detailed explanation in the NetWeaver

Compoze Groupware integration in WSRP

Hi,
Compoze Groupware integration in WSRP.
1) Created a producer with compoze Group ware portlet.
(Compoze_Groupware) with Registration Mandatory
2) Created a Consumer portlet in another domain using Producers wsdl file.
3) Added a Weblogic login portlet at consumer side.
The problem is. When Consumer portal application executed and logged in sucessfully.
But the Consumer portlet displaying "Login to access this portlet"
It is not recognizing the user is logged in.
What configurations to be done to execute then successfully. Pl write the procedure in steps.

I was successfully able to get the portlet to recognize a logged in user by logging in via the LoginPortlet from the sampleportal app included with the sample portal application (weblogic81\samples\portal\portalApp\sampleportal\portlets\includes\Login.portlet)
Also, there are currently issues with running this portlet over wsrp. We are in the process of establishing a timeline to address these issues.

Error in Groupware Connector

Hi experts,
 I am facing problems while replicating activities from crm to groupware. The reason is that on groupware connector admin tool under queue maintenance the queues are locked and the error that i am getting over there is as follows:
 [20/Jun/2006:20:08:30 +0530] ERROR GROUPWARE [email protected] - - - - "[ERR:5003] MAPI default folder not available: TASK."
Context: getDefaultFolder > OpenEntry

 Can anyone help me on how to resolve this error and what are the specific steps to resolve it.

 That issue is resolved but when i execute Gwcdiag.exe on groupware connector as per standard procedure it generates 7 text files in SYSINFO folder.
Also activities doesnt flow to groupware even now.

is it possible to set a filter as to only send activites with one certain status e.g. 'open' to the Groupware-Server (Exchange)?
If so, when the activity status changes from 'open' to 'finished', are the activities removed from the users calendar?
I'm using the Groupware-Szenario with Site Type GWA_01 (mBDoc). Where do I configure, for which users the caledar is synchronised? Or is the synchronisation automatically for all users?

SAP CRM Groupware Connector for Exchange on 64 Bit platform

Hi All,
We have successfully installed SAP CRM 5.0 on Windows 2003 x64 Server R2 SP2.
OS, Database and SAP Kernel are all 64 Bit enabled.
Now we are trying to install SAP CRM Groupware Connector on the same server.
But we encounter problems with SAP Groupware Connector 2.1 for MS Exchange installer (setup.exe), which stops with the following error:
Required Software missing:
- MS SOAP Toolkit
Installation cannot be continued !
But SOAP Toolkit 3.0 definitely is installed.
Obviously the Groupware Connector is still 32 Bit.
It is the only available download in SAP Marketplace i could find.
The CD is located in the same area where the CRM installation CDs can be downloaded.
SAP does not differ between 32 Bit and 64 Bit versions.
I'm wondering if it is possible, to run a 32 Bit Groupware Connector in a 64 Bit environment.
Does anybody have experience with such a configuration ?
Or is there a 64 Bit enabled version available for download ? Where can i find this version ?

I got an answer from SAP Support:
SAP still recommends to use 32-bit system OS in order to avoid any future confusions.
So we have to install another 32 Bit Server only for the Groupware Connector.

Groupware Vs Duet for Outlook integration

We are evaluating CRM integration with Outlook using groupware vs duet. The requirement is to synchronize activities and business partners in bidirectional way. Can someone share their experience here ?

We too will be going for One way synchronization of BP data from CRM to Outlook and bidirectional exchange for Activities and Email.
"We're also configured the bidirectional synchronisation of Activities to the Outlook Tasks and Calender. But that is not a perfect solution especally when it comes to partners assigned to the activity."
Can you explain what issues you have faced in this scenario ?
Also when we have just the above listed scenarios, the debate is what other advantages that Duet can offer other than the above features which are already supported by SAP Groupware connector ? Obviously Duet comes with a special user interface on Outlook that is supposed to be more intuitive than the other. Also Duet has so many other features beyond Sales Management, which may not be needed for us. I guess, the question is what does SAP recommend between Duet and Groupware connector when it comes to simple CRM sales management ?
