Groupwise Delivery Status Message

Hi
I hope someone can help me ... The Boss has asked me to setup and delivery notification message on all incoming emails
I have enabled DSN in the Gwia Properties
But the message only shows
The message that you sent was delivered to the following:
Information about your message:
With no information please can someone help me
So the correct info is displayed
Regards
Cliff

This has NOTHING to do with DSN. The Outbound delivery status is
completely and totally a different feature. DSN is only relevant
GW originator ===> somewhereelse supporting DSN
not
someone else ===> gw
Since you first reported this issue a year ago, I assume you opened an SR?

  • Edit subject for "Delivery Status Notification Failure"-messages

We have an Ironport c160 and I wonder if it is possible to edit the subject for the the automatic reply email instead of Delivery Status Notification Failure? We have a content management system (CMS) and I would like to have the ticket number in the subject, just the way it does when the reply is from our internal Exchange server. For example Undeliverble message case #1234-1234567 instead of Delivery Status Notification Failure.

Sounds like someone is spoofing spam from your e-mail address. They do not need to have access to your account. Spammers nearly always put a fake address on the To line, and sometimes they pick an address from their databases as that "fake." So they're putting your address on a fake To line in their e-mails and you're getting the bounces.
It could be possible that they have hacked your e-mail account, and to protect against that possibility you should change the password on that account. However, this is probably not what has happened.
Note that this has absolutely nothing to do with your Mac, and there are no viruses for the Mac and only a handful of very rare trojans. See my [Mac Virus guide|http://www.reedcorner.net/thomas/guides/macvirus> for more details.

  • Delivery Status at Schedule Line level.

    Hi All,
I have to retrieve some data on the basis of Schedule line for which delivery is not complete. Please find below the requirement.
I am having one sales order with one line item which having two schedule line. For one schedule line confirmed qty is 1K and for other 2k. For first line item deliver qty is also 1k.
I want to know how to check the delivery status for schedule line counter so I will get the idea that for first schedule line qty is delivered and for second not.
    Thanks

  • EMOD Delivery Status Field Update

I ma testing out the EMOD functionality and have been successful in ALL of the changes that occur in the Response Status based upon the hyperlinks in the email. Delivery Status changes to Hard Bounce or Soft Bounce when bad address, etc. However, the system is not updating the Delivery Status to Opened when I have actually opened the email. I know this is the other automatic update of the Delivery Status...Anyone experience this or am I not doing something right.

You have to create the email with the functionality to track message open this is found on "Step two - Design Message body" at the bottom of the top drop down menu next to responses there is another drop down menu with track message open select this option and then press insert.
    This will resolve you issues.

  • How to send delivery status by idoc format from EWM system?

    Hi gurus,
You know we can send GR(posted) from EWM to R3 system, while in our scenario, we also need to send inbound delivery status( including posting, posted) from EWM to Non-SAP system via PI.
Can we implement that by idoc? Do we have to use PPF? How to develop in PPF to send message to PI?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi kishore,
    Thanks for your reply.
I tried to find how SPPFCADM send idoc in ther relevant method, but you know it's just some object oriented code which is not easy to understand and I couldn't find where send idoc and where can be enhanced.
I found that /SCWM/ERP_MAPOUT is the implementation name for the method of inbound delivery to ERP system, also there is an action "XI Message:lieferinfo:inbound delivery", can it be used to send idoc to PI/XI system?
    Thanks.

For this, you need to answer the following:-
    a)  where the customer required date is being captured in sale order ?  Is it Requested Delivery Date ??
    b)  If it is RDD, will there be any manual change in that ??  If so, how will you track the changes
I feel, for the above questions, you have to develop a zee table where you need to capture the original delivery date and the change date so that you can compare this with the actual despatch date.
There is no standard report to make use of the requirement what you had narrated.

  • Need a report on delivery status and response status for capaign recipients

hi, i need to make a report on delivery status and response status for capaign recipients but cannot find them in the campaign subject area nor the campaign response subject area, any idea?
    thanks

Correct the Campaign Response History is the report you are looking for. The fields that may be helpful to you are.
Response status - This shows message opened, click-thru's, opt outs etc
Delivery status - Hard bounce, soft bounce etc
To get more details from the above results add the following.
Response type - This will show the URL that was clicked on a click-thru in case you have multiple links tracked in one email. It will also show the reason for hard bounces. This is important because not all hard bounces will trigger the "Never Email" flag to be checked. This occurs for emails with the bounce statuses of Bad Address,
Address Moved or Unknown Address only.

  • Turning off "Delivery Notification" messages

Is it possible to totally suppress messages regarding delivery status from Postmaster? I run a pair of JESMS 6.2 servers which are SMTP relays primarily and the accounts used to send mail are not "people" but services. I'd like the "Delivery Notification: Message has been delayed/failed/etc" to not be generated. I think there's a setting in imta.cnf for this but am wary of the syntax. Can anyone advise what the line should look like?

Is it possible to totally suppress messages regarding delivery status from Postmaster? What you propose in contrary to the general nature of email delivery (we strive to not silently 'lose' email which is what this translates too) so there isn't a simple one command to achieve it.
You could prevent notification/disposition emails by using the notificationchannel/dispositionchannel keyword:
    http://msg.wikidoc.info/index.php/Dispositionchannel%2C_notificationchannel_Channel_Options
This allows you to change the source channel of these emails. Then by adding a 'discard;' sieve sourcefilter to this new process channel, the emails should be dropped.
"defaults notices 1 2 4 7 logging copywarnpost copysendpost postheadonly noswitchchannel immnonurgent maxjobs 7 defaulthost blah.com blah.com"The copywarnpost and copysendpost are the keywords used to control the behaviour of sending a copy of the bounce/notification message to the postmaster. It doesn't control whether the original bounce/notification message is created. If you don't care about these postmaster copies you can disable them by replacing copysendpost with nosendpost and copywarnpost with nowarnpost.

  • EMOD - Schedule Info & Delivery Status

    1. Is it possible to display the scheduled date and time in the campaign detail page, so that I could refer when i create & schedule multiple campaigns in a day.
    2. I am able track the "Message Opened" status, but the Delivery Status shows only for hard bounce, would it not automatically display "Sent", "Opened", Received"
    Thanks in advance.
    Mahesh

    Mahesh,
    1) No, this is not currently an option.
    2) EMOD does not currently display this type of information. This is on the roadmap.

  • Delivery Status - Blackberry Messenger

The delivery status receipt (D & R) dont seem to be appearing on messages sent any more - does anyone know why this has happened?

    Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

please tell me any function module exist to change the inboud delivery status.my system is 4.6B.
BAPI_INB_DELIVERY_CHANGE is not there in my system.

Did you look for OSS notes?
It is possible that you have a bug.
Deliveries can only be GOODS ISSUED completely and once done the status in VBUK should reflect C.
Now, try running SDVBUK00 for this document. This is a report provided by SAP to fix the status of SD documents. If you run and it changes (or shows that it would if you run in test mode), than it is more likely you have a problem in the IDOC processing application (SAP).
ATTENTION: bad implemented user exits could create inconsistencies. Check to see if any Delivery processing or IDOC processing user exit is not conflicting...

  • Delivery status in mail (hello?)

it seems that lately some of my sent mails are lost in cyberspace.
i don't get a faillure notice from the mailsverver, and still some of my mails (even without attachment) never arrive at adresses that i very often use... can i get a delivery status with 'mail'?
    tnx,
    axel.

Eventually you should get an error report, othwise
you must assume it is delivered.
Unfortunately, that's not the case. Spam has utterly degraded the e-mail experience. I assure you that it's entirely possible, and quite common actually, for a message to never arrive at the destination without the sender receiving any error notification at all. It has happened to me multiple times, on both sides, and with different ISPs.

  • Delivery expired (message too old)

    Hello,
I am getting a few errors each day related to the following type of message.  I have done some web searches, and a few pointed to Windows 2008 DNS as a possible problem.  However, our Ironports point to our external DNS which is BIND.   Here is the relevant data from message tracking.
SMTP delivery connection (DCID 163673330) opened from IronPort interface 10.193.13.181 to IP address 10.192.3.45 on port 25.

    (DCID 163673329) Message 492404228 to [email protected] bounced by destination server. Reason: 5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) ('000', ['[Errno 61] Connection refused']) [(\'X-SBRS\', \'None\'), (\'X-HAT\', \'Group: RELAYLIST, Policy: $RELAYED\'), (\'X-VITAFiles\', \'Attached: image001.jpg, image002.jpg\'), (\'subject\', \'RE: orientation\'), (\'from\', \'"Evans, PATRICIA EVANS (DBHDS)" <[email protected]>\'), (\'to\', \'"Breeding, Myra" <[email protected]>\')]
Anyone else see this?  Any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks ahead of time!
    Elias

    Greetings Elias,
With the data you provided its a bit difficult to say if this is related to a DNS issue or not. A couple of things you may want to do here to further diagnose this.
If delivery attempts fail, this means the destination's mail server  did not accept a given message after 72 hours or 100 iterations of  consecutive tries (example).   This issue can be seen either incoming  (delivery to your internal groupware server) or outgoing (towards  another domain via the Internet).   While this does not necessarily  signal a problem with your local IronPort ESA, you can work around this  by extending the retransmission period or number of attempts, and  therefore increasing the chances for successful delivery.   These values  are controlled by the IronPort's Bounce Profiles.
Note: If you  wish to make the retransmission timeout more lax, increasing the value  may increase your chance for successful delivery.   The overall duration  (i.e., "maximum number of seconds") defines times in terms of seconds.  The default value is 259,200 seconds, or three days. We'd recommend  increasing this threshold to 345,600 seconds (four days) or 432,000  (five days) if necessary.
To edit the "Default" bounce profile via the GUI:
    1) Go to Network > Bounce Profiles > select your Profile Name
    2) set "Maximum Number of Retries" to change the number of times we attempt delivery
    3) set "Maximum Time in Queue" to specify the total length of time to store the message for retransmission
    4) set "Maximum Time to Wait per Message" to give the maximum interval between retries
Alternatively, we can use the CLI 'bounceconfig' command to set the same values.
You may also want to enable the domain debug logs to this host. This way you can see the full smtp conversation between your appliance and the remote host. This may provide some more detail on the previous failures before it gets to this state.
Additionally you may want to also consult the mail logs for the previous failures.
Below is some more information on setting up the domain debug logs.
The domain debug log is a system log  designed to record all SMTP traffic between a specific domain and an   Email Security Appliance (ESA)  for a finite number of sessions. This  log type can assist in troubleshooting issues that relate to a specific  recipient domain or host. Each session is recorded until the number of  session defined has been reached, at which time the log will stop  collecting data. You can stop domain debug before all sessions have been  recorded by deleting or editing the log subscription.
    Configuration
Logs can be configured and created through the IronPort CLI   using the logconfig command or via the GUI.
To configure logs via the GUI, see the Advanced User Guide: Log Subscriptions .
Below is an example of creating a Domain Debug Log subscription using the CLI:.
