Groupwise error in console one

Netware server 6.5 sp6, GW 7.0.1 (no I haven't updated it yet with the HP)
When trying to connect to the groupwise server with console one it asks me
to select the domain. I point to the domain and click ok and I get an error
The following GroupWise domain database file cannot be accessed properly.
Z:\district\wpdomain.db.
This is my domain database file and I wasn't going to it via a mapped drive
but got this error. I then tried to fake it and made a mapped drive and
tried to go that route. Same error.
It just started happening yesterday on my PC. I updated my client to see if
that was causing something, didn't fix it.
The C1 version I am running is 1.3.6f
This was working just the other day but decided I didn't need to access my
domain database anymore.
Ideas?
Teresa

Just like magic, it worked! Interesting...
Thanks!
Teresa

  • Console one 1.3.6h and groupwise

We always used ConsoleOne 1.3.6h for managing groupwise users and the gwia.
I see its outdated there is no download anymore for console one
What should I use now for managing groupwise.

Novell Download Page lists Console One. Clicking on download and
logging in presents a page that states this:
In order to download the latest version of ConsoleOne, please download
the most recent GroupWise Support Pack. The ConsoleOne install files
can then be extracted from that support pack. ConsoleOne is currently
at End Of Life and only supported for GroupWise Administration. Please
use iManager for all administration tasks outside of GroupWise.
I would assume you can get it in the latest GW Support Pack download.

  • Console One Authentication (error -748) A Conn Timeout error

Above error occurs when authenticating to Console One for GW administration.
To be precise it occurs when the treename is used, it takes about 45 seconds, end then the error comes.
If IP address is input instead of treename there is immediate login and all is OK.
So I'm thinking SLP trouble - however all workstations can login and authenticate to the servers and eDir using the treename just fine.
SLD daemeon is running on the servers, and a slp request returns the expected novell bindery reply, and the slp.conf file is configured so that the 2 server setup points to the other server as a DA. Same DA's that work just fine from the workstation side.
Yes I can just put in IP and thats fine - however there must be a reason why C1 times out - any ideas ?

Having the tree in your internal DNS is also a backup for part of SLP, in
case SLP has issues. What has worked well has been to have multiple eDir
root servers as A records for the tree.
I have never seen any evidence that C1 uses SLP for its login.

I have Novell since ver4 & I can get around with that. I am new to this NOWS
I have done a clean install. Went thru setup then later added groupwise 8
I am now trying to get Console one so I can make changes to the groupwise system. I am able to log into the server from console with the root user and the password I had set up. I can open up console one and then a Novell login screen apears. I have tried to log with every posible name and password I can think of. After a period of time I get a error message saying it his timed out.
Got any ideas what I am doing wrong.

If you completed the setup and can logon to the web interface as "admin" or "sbsadmin", you should be able to logon with Console One using the same userid and password.
Both these userids are created under the "O=<orgname>" and NOT in the user container as are some of the other userids. Make sure you specify the correct context when you attempt to logon with C1.
Try to logon using the server's IP address for the Tree and Server...
Can you supply some additional information...
Are you able to login from iManager?
Can you login using the Novell Client from a Windows workstation? Can you run C1 from the Windows workstation?
    What patches have you applied?
    What components have you installed?
Are there any clues in the Simba server.log? For example, does it show non-zero return codes for any of the installed components? You can view the log using the Simba web interface or find it in /var/log/simba/server.log
Let us know how you made out!

  • User Logged In, Bogus Info in Console One

This is an extension of the "But User IS logged in!" post. I want to elaborate on a few symptoms I'm getting when trying to Remote Control a client's PC.
Review: Using Console One, when I select a user and right-click, the submenu shows "Remote Management". When I click on that I get the famous "1759: The selected user is not logged into any workstation " error.
    Here's what I find:
First, when I examine the properties of the allegedly 'not logged in' user, the attribute 'Network Address', under General/Environment, is always empty.
Second, if I look at the Zenworks tab, 'Logged in Workstations' shows multiple entries, noting that the person appears to be logged in to several PCs. But, again, this is bogus information. The person is only logged into one. As for the other PCs listed, that person logged into it or them a long time (a week or even months) ago and has long since logged out.
Here's my questions. 1) How does the attribute 'Network Address' get populated? I don't find it in the registry and a colleague suggested that NDS has, or should have it. Where is it and how does it get into that field?
Next, 2), when the user logs off a PC, shouldn't the entry for that PC in the 'Logged in Workstations' field go away? Or, are their some Persistence parameters in the client that may not be timing out? How does the 'Logged in Workstations' field get cleared?

That's a good clue. We have no middle tier servers. Also, this sounds like a Windows server, we're running NW6.5sp6. I can find xtaddr.dll (mentioned it the TIDs) anywhere, not even on workstations. It must be Windows.
    Any more clues?

  • GW 2012 Create Trusted Key not showing up in Console One

    Hello All,
We are trying to add a trusted key to our GW domain, and are following the steps widely available (Click on domain, then Tools -> Groupwise System Operations -> Trusted Applications. Then click "Create".) There is no "Create" in the options.
    - We are logged in as the Admin user with appropriate Admin rights
    - We are running groupwise 12.0.3-116810 for all of our GW processes.
    - We are running Console One 1.3.6h
    - Our Groupwise Administration Snapin is 8.0.0
    - We cannot access it through webconsole at this time.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,

Which server OS are you running GW on?

I have deleted many apps on the iMac, I reseted SMC, PRAM, VRAM, I also had made the disk service routine. And I also have restarted in the save mode of the Mac. I also deleted the cache folder of the library. It all does not help. The error is also in the save mode. Only if I create a new user account, the problem is apparently away.
Now I have the same issue with the new iMac late 2013. What should I do, it's really annoying me and I also notice performance issues. Which app or work process causes this problems?
Pleas help me, it's really annoying me!

  • Calendar Server Error: At least one sharee was not recognized by the server. New invitations have not been sent.

I deployed a Mountain Lion Server with the calendar service active. Every time a user tries to share a calendar they have created under thier account to an external person using thier email address, the server gives the following error: "At least one sharee was not recognized by the server. Invites to share a calendar to OD accounts on the server seem to work fine.
I have a calendar specific email address for external invites set up. The server seems to send individual event invites to external email addresses just fine, so I am thinking the email is working. Email is not served on the Mountain Lion Server. The account is through Google Apps using IMAP and SMTP.
What's even stranger, is that there doesn't seem to be any message in the Calendar error logs.

You may need to update your version of OS X from 10.8 to 10.8.5 (if indeed you are running 10.8) -> http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1676 and http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1686.
If you are on 10.8.5 already, I've no idea why you're unable to download. Try rebooting and opening the Mac App Store application again and give it another go.

I have been trying to reinstall iTunes but I have been getting error messages. One says I need a fileMSVCR80.dll, one says error 7 and the last one says windows error126.
This problem started yesterday when I tried to download the newest iTune update.
The error message suggested trying the download again and i have tried over ten times and i get the same messages and error numbers.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.

  • How to re-execute the error items at one time in SMQ2(t-code)

    Hi Experts,
today i went to check the Inbound Queues using SMQ2, there are so many error queues, how can i re-execute these error queues at one time?
    Thanks&Regards,
    Su

    Hi Su,
While you are inside a particular error queue, choose 'Unlock' and in the popup give CF* (or whatever queue prefix you have) and run. It will execute all the error queues / LUWs starting with CF*, for example.

  • I am running Windows7 on my PVC. When I log in I'm getting two Apple error messages. One says, " The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." The second says, "Apple Photostreams stop

I am running Windows7 on my PVC. When I log in I'm getting two Apple error messages. One says, " The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." The second says, "Apple Photostreams Uploader has stopped working".  Help!

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. If that doesn't help read on...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
