GroupWise Resched of Appointment by opening Appointment

We have noticed that one of our employees using GroupWise 2014 is having an issue when rescheduling appointments. When a schedule is moved from one date to a date in the next week by opening Editing the appointment, the appointment defaults back to the default time length of 1 hour. If you do a drag and drop the appointment stays as scheduled length.
So far it only seems to be one employees account doing this.
Any ideas why?
This GroupWise client was and upgrade from 2012 to 2014.

Can you confirm that the Views were upgraded to new the 2014 versions? Check /where/gw/lives/poa/ofviews/win and confirm some of the files are newer than the ones from 2012.
When you drag the item to the following week do you get the "Do you want to perform a busy search or edit the item..." and if so, how do you respond?

Sorry it took so long to get back but person having the issues left for vacation and just got back. I did a uninstall and reinstall of the GroupWise 2014 Client on the station with SP1 and the issue is still there. I checked the /ofviews/win under the POA directory and those files do seem to be older, 2012 and older.
As for the busy search, it doesn't ask.
Is there an easy way to replace the files in the win directory?

    I have the following situation:
    User (GroupWise) send an appointment to an external System (Exchange). If the external User decline/accept the appointment, the Exchange Server send back an Decline/Accept Message to the Sender. But the user who have send the appointment, never receives the decline/accept message.
    When i look at the GWIA logs, i can see the decline/accept message from the exchange system, but this message never goes to the inbox of the user.
    I checked severall settings in GroupWise Client and GWIA, but i cannot find the right one. DSN is enabled.

    Certainly does, especially after looking at that work around. Might be
    worth opening an SR on this to prod things along in getting it fixed
    properly. If possible, see about getting the bug number as I can't find
    any that apply.

  • Wireless sync, via BlackBerry server, of calendar between BlackBerry and GroupWise 8.0

    when I fix a date in my BlackBerry device with the indication 'duration: a whole day' (and not 24h), GroupWsie wouldn't accept that.
    And sometimes, when a fix a date in my BlackBerry, GroupWise moves the appointement on to the day before or the day after.

    Had the same problem. Crazy, easy solution after 30 minutes of trying everything.  For some reason on my iPad, I had been logged out of iCloud. Didn't appear to be the case. But in Settings, click on iCloud, then click on yourself the user to see if you're still logged in.

  • Unable to open email sent to large distribution lists

    Running: iPhone 4, 8GB iOS 7.04 (Note: This same issue was also observed on an iPhone 5S with iOS 7.1.2.)
    Email account info: GroupWise IMAP
    When attempting to open an email sent to a large distribution list, the email application is extremely slow or crashes. 
    Opening and closing an email sent to a distribution list containing 2301 members is very slow.  When opening an email with a distribution list of 6443 members, the email application hangs for awhile and then closes.

    I just noticed that with an email open, selecting "Hide" on the email headers allows the email and all subsequent emails to open as expected.  However, attempting to view the additional email header information by selecting "[number of additional email contacts] more..." causes the email application to freeze.

  • Attachments and temp files in GW 2012 Client

    I hope this is not already in a thread, I have not found anything yet, so if it is I appoligize ahead of time.
    I have updated to Groupwise 2012, running on a SUSE Linux Server, and am slowly upgrading windows clients to 2012 client. I have one user with an attachment issue. They have a file that is e-mailed to them, in Excel, that they open, make one or two changes, and then print. They do not need to save, nor are they trying to save, the file for any reason. The file comes in with the same name everytime it is sent to this user. The first time the user opend the file, everything was fine. However on consecutive opens of the file, they get an error asking to replace the exsisting file with the one from the database. When I looked at the machine, there is a Groupwise folder in their My Documents folder, where it looks to store temp attachent files. These files seem to be auto saved to this folder, cause if I delete the file in question, the attachent opens fine, but when they close the attachment, the temp file is left in the Groupwise folder causing the next open to ask to replace the file. Has anyone else ever seen this issue? Any thoughts on how to fix this, so the temp attachment files are deleted and not left there? Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

    This change was done on purpose to help prevent issues where users open
    attachments which go to the Windows temp directory, make changes, save
    the changes, exit GroupWise, then can't find the file. They can't find
    it because it's not there as the GW client cleaned out the temp
    directory. The new design keeps the document so that users never lose
    their data. The downside is that they get the warning message you
    indicated above if they try to open another attachment with the same
    name.

    just findings from my test system
    Where to start ....
    1. Get numerous C00F (password passed in open call does not match
    errors on various users (on this system all 5 users show this system
    randomly)
    Full Top down re-build does not help
    Re-starting the POA seems to fix it for a day
    2.GW Install does not recognize NWC mapped drives on Windows 7 - have
    to map the drives using NET USE .... and CIFS
    3. POA stop responding to external POP login requests via GWIA ... have
    to re-start POA
    4. POA does not process system maintenance jobs - re-sending the
    request just generates a Duplicate request message
    Deleting the NGWcheck.db does not help
    System Info
    NW 6.5 SP8 with patches
    GW 8.03
    Windows 7 SP3 with NWC 2 SP2 IR3

    Last time I opened an SR, I ended up doing all the work and it cost
    $1,000. They could not come up with any real method to fix my DMS so I
    did it manually.
    In any case, I'm also getting COOF on NGWGuard.db on my 2 POA's ....

    Novell will be issuing a patch
    I was going to install this patch prior to upgrading a client to 2012.

  • Multi-Calendar on a Calendar Publishing Host

    In our organization, we wanted to see if it's possible to publish a Multi-User calendar.
    For example, employees can book for fieldwork a car.
    Now they have to open their GroupWise and they can choose their own-made Multi-calendar in which they have the agenda's of all cars.
    But the experience is that GroupWise is slow when you open a Multi-calender with more than eight sub-calendars.
    So we thought maybe it's possible to Publish those multi-calendar on our Calender Publishing Host server, but than the only thing we see is the name of the Multi-Calendar without any item.
    Do you people know if this is possible, or do we have to buy a third-party product?

    I have the same question, Dick.
    With Groupwise 6, we used M+Extranet to publish calendars. A little php script let users but checks by the calendars they wanted to check, then the calendars were aggregated when they clicked BUILD.
    I'm at a school system, so this was great for parents who had kids at multiple schools participating in multiple activities - football, drama, scholars' bowl - one aggregated calendar could show them everything they needed to see.
    We now use GroupWise calendaring for that stuff, but the change in published format has caused mass confusion. Everyone was trained to post on the SUB calendar which no longer works.
    We really need a solution and don't mind buying one.

  • Troubleshooting a failed bundle installation

    ZCM 10.3.1. Installing GroupWise per this:

    able to find the file during the installation?

    i have this gwab1.ocx also sometimes....i really dont know, what it causes.
    i setup the hole thing from a network share and file-size should be okay.
    i also openend a ticket.
    i had this also with normal setup, without zenworks....;-)

    I don't know what caused this, but I do know how to work around it
    now. I was uploading files to my ZCM server with the Zenworks File
    Upload Extension for Firefox. The files were in a folder on my
    Netware server. Uploading from that location resulted in all files
    having a 0 KB size except for the MSI file. I copied the folder to my
    C: drive and uploaded from that location and the files were all the
    correct size.

  • Appointment in iCloud not on any synced devices and can't be opened or deleted

    I have an all-day appointment for 'Fathers Day' on 1st January 2012 listed in iCloud but it isn't on me iPhone or Outlook calendars that are linked to iCloud.
    I can't open or delete the iCloud entry because every time I try to open it iCloud Calendar reports an error and has to close down and reopen.
    I don't know how the entry got there in the first place and I can't find any way to delete it.
    Any suggestions?

    and now I have another entry on 3rd January for Melbourne Cup Day that doesn't show up on my iPhone or Outlook and I also can't delete... strange!

    To start off your troubleshooting, first, I would reset the device you're trying to download it on:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Why when I open a meeting.ics attachment it changes the appointment schedule?

    When I receive an e-mail containing a meeting schedule or appointment and click on the meeting.ics attachment, the appointment opens with an appointment time that is one hour earlier. Yet, when I open the e-mail in G-mail for example, the appointment comes through correctly.   I am on EST and it doesn't seem to matter where the e-mail is being sent from.  Do I need to change a setting on my iPhone? 

    trying to accept a fowarded meeting request from my work Outlook client calendar via email - opening the .ICS file attachment and just choosing to “add to calendar" on an iPhone 4s IOS 5.1, it made my gmail account the organizer, changed the meeting time, and sent a modified meeting request to everybody in the meeting except for the original organizer.

    When I attach a file to an appointment in iCal and I double click the attachment, nothing happens. I am attaching a pages file but I've tried jpg's, txt's, and mp4's with no success. Would appreciate any help.

    I'm using the Leopard version of iCal. Have attached PDF documents to a couple appointments. Try double clicking the appointment, the info bubble appears. Then press the space bar to get an iCal preview of the PDF document. Also, double-clicking the attachment in the bubble seems to work as well (opens the PDF with Preview). Haven't tried any other attachment types yet.
    Can't seem to get these attachments to appear on the iMac at home via .mac. It's my impression that the attachments are supposed to sync with the appointments. Guess I'll look for another thread on that topic.

    Is it set to back up to iCloud now?
    Or do you have wifi backup enabled in iTunes?
    Plug it in while on wifi and it will automatically back up.
