GRR1 reporting on FAGLFLEXT - access to FSV

HI
I am busy writing a report in Report painter, based on library 0FL - New General Ledger FAGLFLEXT table. I am trying to get hold of a hierarchy that is built in FSV, but seem not to be able to do so, I can only get hold of set hierarchies.
Is there a way to either:
1. Get hold of the FSV structure from inside the report painter, or alternatively
2. Copy the information from the FSV into sets in GS01.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
use KE5B to make the FSV nodes available in Report painter reports. This function can be used to create/change sets based on FSV.
Best regards, Christian

  • GRR1-Report painter balance sheet for non leading ledger

    Hi Experts,
I want to create a balance sheet for non leading ledger group using GRR1 report painter functionality. i have created also however in general selection i have selected non leading ledger under ledger characteristics. and when i am trying to execute report no data is coming in report. however when i assigned leading ledger report is coming correctly. so my question is how to assign a non leading ledger group in report created using GRR1 ?.
Thanks in advance for your comments!!

    Dear Mustafa,
Please go to transaction code se16n, enter table FAGLFLEXT. Give the parameters which you have given in the report painter and try to execute, see whether you get any result. If you find any result, please let us know your general data characteristics and what filter you have put at the column level.

I assume you are implying "biztax" application here, right?
I have contacted their program lead, with no result at all.
Past days I have been searching for a solution - reinstalls / new systems - no solution.
This issue appeared a week or two ago only.
I found http://forums.adobe.com/message/5338853 useful - but no positive results either.
    http://test.eid.belgium.be/faq/faq_nl.htm obviously didnt help either.
If anyone finds a solution to this issue, please do let me know - any help is appreciated.
Biztax tells to use the "signature", not the "authentication"  - but it is only Auth. that is showing up as option to sign (that works)
ps, did you fiddle with the Adobe Reader XI security settings and import that PKI etc as well? I hoped that would be the breaktrough. Sadly i'm still crying in my chair.
Oh, and dont forget: they claim nobody else got this issue. Maybe one or two people. (We got about 8 customers experiencing exactly the same symptoms at the same time )

  • Cannot delegate Reporting Services Web access to domain user / group, User does not have required permissions

    Hi
    I have an SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3 installation on a Server 2008 R2 + SQL 2008 R2.
I'm having trouble delegating Reporting Services Web Access to a standard domain user.
I have followed the instructions from these blogs:
    http://blog.coretech.dk/kea/creating-the-reporting-user-role-in-configmgr-2012/
    http://www.wolffhaven45.com/blog/sccm/assigning-users-to-configmgr-reportusers-group-in-sccm-2012/
No matter how I try, I cannot get the reports to show for a standard domain user. In the console no reports are showing and in the web access I get
"User domain\user does not have required permissions........"
The only thing that is consistenly working when I test is to put the AD Group on the Security Role "Full Administrator".
    Then everything will show up.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks everyone for helping me with tips. I have now solved the problem. It was the permissions from SCCM that did not replicate to the Reporting Server.
In srsrp.log I got these error messages:
Could not retrieve the reporting service name for instance 'MSSQLSERVER'
    Invalid class
Could not stop the reporting serviceAfter googling a litte I found these 2 sites with similiar problems:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d4a7f93a-506f-4e3f-b5fc-bd2b087277da/ssrs-permissions-do-not-add?forum=configmanagergeneral
    http://www.microtom.net/microsoft-system-center/software-distribution/sccm-2012-reporting-services-do-not-install
    So I ran the command for SQL 2008 R2: mofcomp.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof
and BAAM, everything started to work =)

    Hi Angela,
Through an ODBC connection is about the only way, how to configure it would be up to Share Points help file to describe if it supports it.

  • Scheduling a webi report with no access to univ. connection

    Hi,
I have a user in BO enterprise, who has access to a report, but no access to the universe & universe connection.
So ideally, the expected behavior is that, when the user schedules the report, the schedule should fail.
When I do a schedule, by clicking on the prompts, and modify, it throws me an error that the Universe and universe connection are not accessible.
But when I schedule the report, with all default settings (without modifying the prompt values), it schedules, and shows a Success status. (Though the report shows blank data)
Has anyone observed this before? Any info on this would be helpful.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    The use-case is:
    - An administrator creates a new user (by default belongs to Everyone group) and provides access to a particular report including the scheduling privileges
    - The Everyone group does not have access for the Universe or the Connection
    - When this user runs the report (View on Demand) and refreshes the data (via the Refresh Data button), the error is thrown stating that the universe is not found/not accessible.
    - When scheduling the same report, we see different behaviors (one of the prompt option happens to be a List of Values:
        - Changing the prompt values - Clicking the modify button on the parameters page and trying to select a value for the LoV prompt throws me the Universe not found/accessible error (which is correct as the concerned user does not have access to the universe or the connection)
        - With default prompt values (i.e. not changing any of the prompt values in the parameters page) - This shows that the schedule was successful and when i open the instance, it shows me blank report - The question here is, why would the schedule succeed when the user does not have the access to the universe/connection?
    Thanks -

  • Grr1 report using GP12N plan data

    Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to use GRR1 report and get plan data entered in GP12N in the report???If yes, please tell me know??
Or best is to enter plan data in cost center and profit center accounting and create grr1 report???
    Please suggest.
    Thank You

    Dear Mr. Hari,
Thank you for your information. I have defined the Notification in the key field and the Equipment in the data field of the DSO- since i want them as free characters.
Now based on whatever help you have provided can i remove the Notification and the Equipment from the key and data fields respectively and will this solve my problem.
My doubt is suppose if i remove them from the key and data fields, will i have the option of having them as free characters - because users want to drill down based on these fields for further analysis.
Hope you will clarify my doubts and help in resolving my problem.

  • ActiveX reports using MS Access

I am using LV 5.1.1 on a Win 9x platform. I am trying to use LV's Active X
technologies to pull reports from MS Access. I am approaching this from two
    perspectives.
The first, the target machine will have a typical Win 9x installation
scenario, a LV run-time engine installed, a LV application to gather/process
and send data via SQL installed, and an *.exe application generated from
MS-Access installed. The MS-Access *.exe is designed to contain the data
generated by labview and generate reports.
The second, is the same as the first except that instead of the MS-Access
*.exe being installed a full version of Access 97 or higher will be
installed and work with an *.mdb file to contain data and generate reports.
    I have b
een following the Word and Excel ActiveX examples on the NI EPD and
am running into the following problem. I am trying to call a specific MS
Access report and this seems to require to first call Access, then call the
reports part of Access, and then call the specific report. I am having
difficulty with the last two steps because they seem to deviate from the
Word and Excel approach. Does anyone have any ideas?
Also does anyone have experience with the first scenario described above and
know which *.ocx and support files that must be installed with the MS-Access
*.exe to allow for Active X communication with a LV-based application?
    Thanks,
    Don

    Hi Prashant,
Report server performance is affected by a combination of factors that include hardware, number of concurrent users accessing reports, the amount of data in a report, and output format. We can check Execution Log in ReportServer database to learn more information
about report render. In Reporting Services, the total time to generate a reporting server report (RDL) can be divided into 3 elements: TimeDataRetrieval, TimeProcessing and TimeRendering. You can refer to the following blog to Analyzing and Optimizing Reports:

  • How do I open a Crystal Report from Microsoft Access?

I'm looking for step-by-step instructions on how to launch a Crystal Report from a Microsoft Access application (for a dummy like me).
My Crystal Report uses a connection to the Access database as the data.
I have Microsoft Access 2002 with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.5.
I have Crystal Reports 2008 CR Developer 12.
I'll need to know where to find the Visual Basic code references, and/or ActiveX Controls, if applicable.
    Thanks

    I concur with Don. Just a bit of help - a sample VBA app is here;
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006013432008E/rdc_vba.exe
But as Don mentioned, you will have to downgrade to CR XI r2 (or lower) to implement the above solution.

  • How to print a report in MS-Access from Labview?

    Good morning,
We have our system running properly but we want to provide the user just one GUI to execute the measurements and print the report, we keep using ms-access beacuse facilitate the data  integration with the res of the areas of tha company.
    Thanks,
    Miguel

Basically, you are going to have to communicate with Access via ActiveX and tell it to print the report for you. If you don't know the Access object model a good approach is to find an example on how to programatically run a report in some easy to read text language like VB. While you will not want to follow the exact program structure too closely, it will at least tell you what properties and methods you will need to use.

I understand from my investigation, an above said error should thrown only if I'm changing the user of reporting services. But in my case, I Just installed Reporting services and trying to do the configuration. Not sure why I'm getting such registry access
    error.

    Hi orionkings,
According to your description, when you click the “System Settings” in Central admin of SharePoint, the error is thrown out.
In your scenario, the error “Requested registry access is not allowed” could cause by SharePoint web service account can't access some registry keys. To fix the issue, you can use Process Monitor to monitor the registry, and grant Read permission for the
    corresponding key.
