GS60 won't detect all the external devices anymore and D drive disppeared

Help!!! I just bought a msi gs60 six months ago. The laptop can't detect any flash drives or external storage devices anymore, but was able to read from smartphone. Also, more importantly, the computer has lost its second hard drive, which was 800 gb. For a couple of hours before it disappeared, it read it as a CD drive, but eventually it just completely disappeared. That happened two or three weeks after the flash drives stopped being detected.

have you ever dropped your laptop by accident once on the floor or so? since some people wont tell truth they dropped the laptop once since most of times it only needs an single drop from the table onto floor causing HDD as D: to die since it will drop down to 9% health or even 0% which means it's completely dead, so to confirm this press Windows + E then right click on computer and pick Manager then in that window find Hard Disk manager or w.e it's called and once that is open then look for any D: partition if it's listed there but in RAW format then that is why your D: drive isnt visible since format is RAW and mostley when an hard disk is about to die it will turn into RAW format from NTFS so plz do this for us to fully confirm if it's your hdd itself that is dead or not.
worth a try!

  • My iPhone 5s won't connect to my wifi. For hours it says it's loading by nothing happens. All the other devices in my home are able to connect without a problem. (Already tried restarting my phone)

I tried to download an app to my phone, but it kept saying that it couldn't be downloaded at this time. To solve that problem, I tried to restart my phone (which did not work by the way) and when the phone turned back on, the wifi didn't connect automatically so I went to do it manually. I clicked on the network and it says it's loading, but it is not connecting. It is not saying that it can't connect, it's just not doing anything. It has the little loading circle, but doesn't connect. All the other devices in my home (laptop, phones, iPods) are connected and are working properly. Please help me fix this! Thanks so much! (I restarted my iPhone again, reset my phone, and turned the wifi off and back on again already)

  • All the external buttons have ceased to work on my iphone 3G.Any solution please?

Can anyone help please? All the external buttons on my iphone 3G have just stopped working. This means I cannot switch it off, turn off the ringer or adjust the volume using the rocker switch. I can't even try a reset using top button and home button! All the on screen functions seem to be fine.

Bluetooth is turned-on on all the devices.
Trying to connect to bluetooth headset.
    Used to work fine.
iPad and iPod both work fine.
Initially, I thought there might be a setting being carried over between restores; so when I got the iPhone 4S, I didn't restore it from an existing backup; but it still won't find anything on Bluetooth. Just gets stuck in search.
Even though Bluetooth is turned on, the Bluetooth icon won't display.
I've tried restarts; I've tried various combinations with Bluetooth turned on/off before restarting.
None of my iPhones will see any other devices.

  • Itunes won't detect all my music

Itunes won't detect all of the music on my PC there for I can't transfer all of it to my Ipad.  Thoughts?

Think I found the problem.  It appears that if you have music that is incompatible with the ipad and you don't have the automatic converter to AAC turned on itunes just stops there and won't load the rest of the music.

  • Macbook Air can not find my wifi. It detects all the neighbouring ones but can not find mine.

Hi. I have a new (5months old) Macbook Air that used to work fine. Until now...
I went for a 2 months trip and left my macbook at home, so it was not is use for the past 2 months. When I turned it on a couple of days ago, the date and time was messed up (automatic setting showed me 01.01.2012.) and the bigger issue, it can not find my wifi network. It detects all the neighbouring networks but mine. I have tried setting up a new network, troubleshooting, etc, but nothing has worked. My iPhone and my other laptop (hp) can find the wifi without any problem. The network settings have not changed either...
Any idea how to solve this?
    Many thanks!

    Hi,
    thanks for your reply.
The problem is, I can't even open the network preference pane, as it is not responding.
Earlier I wanted to log into iCloud - it started loading and now it is completely 'frozen'. I can not close it, I can not quit system preferences and I also can not restart my macbook (it won't let me until I quit system preferences).
I am sure the solution is very easy, but I have no idea what to do
Many thanks for your help in advance!

  • The apps I get from the App Store won't download all the way?

I Have gotten some apps from the App Store and they won't download all the way. It says that they are waiting. Also some of my already downloaded apps that need updates won't  update and I can't get into them. Please  help me I'm new at all of this stuff.

I have posted these suggestions for the "waiting" apps issue many times in the past. Many of these suggestions have worked for others in the past. Hopefully, one of them will work for you.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
    7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

The problem is that if somebody calls me for example for face time all the other devices are also ringing, because in face time my phone number is showing and also my wife's phone number. How can I get rid of my phone number on her iphone and ipad and vice versa

has that to do that the ipad has no tel number of course?? Should I leave my id number on her iPad ??
That isn't due to not having a phone number on her iPad.  You can use FaceTime with any iPad using an email address as the "phone number".  And if her iPad isn't a first generation iPad, if she uses the same Apple ID for FaceTime on both her iPhone and iPad, her iPhone number can be used as well (see iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage).
If her iPad is not verifying her Apple ID for FaceTime it's probably because the Apple servers are busy.  Keep trying and it should verify.  If you continue to have problems with this, look through the troubleshooting steps here: iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime and iMessage activation.

  • My Apple TV can control all the apple devices in my home including my other family members devices why?

My Apple TV can control all the apple devices in my home including my other family members devices why? I have home sharing on so my MacBook pro, iPad, and iPhone can be put on my tv. How do I only contol my devices?

Lots of questions but essentially you want to try three steps:
Reset the power on the device
    - issue continue?
Reset all settings from: Settings > General > Reset all settings > Reset All Settings
    - issue continue?
Restore the devices software: Settings > General > Restore > Retore
    - issue continue?
You likely have a hardware issue. Visit an Apple Retail Store

  • Is there a way to detect all the photos already transferred to double (or triple) in iPhoto, so do not occupy space unnecessarily? Thank you from France.

Is there a way to detect all the photos already transferred to double (or triple) in iPhoto, so do not occupy space unnecessarily? thanks from France

Look in you main photo library. Are there doubles or triple photos there? If so delete the extras.
All photos are stored in the photo library. When you move a photo into an album the photo is not duplicated. The album contains a pointer back to the original photos. These pointers or aliases take up very little space.

    Hi
So just close iTunes and re-open iTunes thats it and that worked for you?

  • My iPod won't import all the songs on iTunes

My iPod Classic won't import all the songs in iTunes. Any ideas?

    Hello Tony,
It sounds like you are trying to transfer music from your iPod to your computer.
Are the songs that are transferring over iTunes purchases?  Music imported from a CD or other source that is on your iPod cannot be transferred to a computer from your iPod, but music purchased from the iTunes Store can.  You can find more information at the following link:

Try resetting your modem. Power it down. Wait a moment, then power it up again. While it resets, do not change what is connected to it.
In another, though unrelated article, Apple recommends the following:
If you have configured your Wi-Fi base stations in the past, it may be helpful to do a factory default reset of each Wi-Fi base station that will be part of the wireless extended network before you begin.
This step really ought not be considered optional for the configuration you propose. If the problem persists after resetting your modem, reset everything else too.
