GSR 12000 Router and Router 7609S

Hi all,
GSR 12816 supports 40GB/slot. How can I check this information ?
I tried to using Dynamic Configuration Tool to build 04 SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 on 12000-SIP-601 but It does not support.
Please answer as soon as possible.
Thanks

Oh, I checked again. The problem has been solved.
tks.

    Hello
Do you want to know how much RAM you have in 7600, Show version command can be use to find it
Cisco 7206VXR (NPE400) processor (revision A) with 245760K/16384K bytes of memory.
Above router has 245760K+16384K/1024 = 256MB of RAM.

  • When i drag and drop to my ipod it wants to sync everything, but if i make changes to the syncing options and apply it wants to sync it all to make it work. i have 12000 songs and takes two days to sync everything. is there an easier way to drag and drop

when i drag and drop to my ipod it wants to sync everything, but if i make changes to the syncing options and apply it wants to sync it all to make it work. i have 12000 songs and takes two days to sync everything. is there an easier way to drag and drop just one album without making settings changes?

The first ever Sync of 12,000 songs to an empty iPod will take a while, but it shouldn't take two days.
Once all 12,000 songs have been Synced to the iPod, subsequent changes to just one album will result in a very short Sync time. That Sync will include:
the change to that one album
play counts on iPod updated into your iTunes Library
Smart Playlists updated: some complex Smart Playlists are not always updated by the iPod but have to wait for a Sync with the Library.
housework - in other words, behind the scenes tasks that we don't need to see.
Those subsequent Syncs do not sync every single song every time.
So, stick with Syncing. If the first Sync of all your songs is taking too long, try syncing part of the Library (say one or two genres) the first time, a further part the second time and so on. After all, with a Library that large, manually managing the iPod will be a source of torture.

  • Load distribution not so even for multicast traffic (ECMP) between a GSR 12410 (XR) and a CRS-1 router

    Hi,
I have a scenario in which I see the multicast S,G streams are distributed not so even in the 3 interfaces between a GSR 12404 (XR 3.8.4) and a CRS1 (XR 3.6.2). The multicast mode is SSM.
The total S,G (sources and multicast groups) are 82.
    The topology is as follows:
                                                   ---link 1--------
     Multicast sources ----- CRS1 ---link 2-------- GSR12404------- Receivers
                                                    ---link 3--------
From the total of 82 S,G coming from multicast sources, I see the following S,G distribution between the three links:
    Link 1: 37 S,G
    Link 2: 21 S,G
    Link 3: 24 S,G
The big question is why the Link 1 has very different number of S,G compared to link 2 and link 3?
Multipath is enabled on both links. I copy the multicast configuration of CRS and GSR that is the same:
    multicast-routing
     address-family ipv4
      interface GigabitEthernet0/2/0/0
       enable
      interface GigabitEthernet0/2/1/1
       enable
      interface GigabitEthernet0/2/1/2
       enable
      nsf
      multipath
      ssm range SSM
    Thanks,
    Carlos.

  • RSVP graceful restart support in 12000 router

    Hi,
It seems like the router is not supporting graceful restart full mode.
If you have to GSR's that are connected to each other, will it be possible to setup graceful restart and work together with SSO?
I have tried but with no success, if it's should work, have somebody any config example?
    /Niklas

    Thanks,
    I will contact our sales.
Means helper-mode that the router can help the other side to recover a RP failure situation?
The other router must also support full-mode?

  • IOS XR

    Hello:
Which Cisco router platforms use IOS XR?
Is it just the CRS-1, ASR 9000 and GSR 12000? What about the asr 1000?
What is the big difference between regular IOS and IOS XR?
What is the ASR 9000 used for? WAN edge? SP PE? SP core?
    So for so many questions...
    Thanks

    Hello Joe,
IOS XR is supported on CRS and GSR 12000 XR and ASR 9000
    see
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5845/products_installation_and_configuration_guides_list.html
    about different IOS flavors:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6350/products_white_paper09186a0080b1351e.shtml
ASR 1000 supports IOS XE and Nexus supports NX-OS
IOS XR has a different architecture then IOS: it uses a real-time microkernel OS that provides basic services.
Over this common layer other SW layers are added for example OSPF or ISIS module, MPLS module and so on.
It is not a monolithic image, but rather it has a unix derived approach. Modularity provides also for the capability to perform partial updates of one or more SW modules. They are called SMU.
IOS XR is designed with service provider carrier class needs
ASR 9000 is designed for PE role and aggregation services and it is a young platform.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps9853/data_sheet_c78-501767.html
to be noted also an ASR 14000 has been introduced recently but I cannot find info about it.
    Hope to help

  • About maximum ipv4 routes for GSR router

    Hi all,
I am planning to install GSR 12404 router for Internet router to receive full BGP routing table. Just wondering what the maximum routes supported for GSR into the CEF?
The hardware will be used is as below
    PRP-2
    SIP-400 w/ SPA-2x1GE
    Thanks,

looshfoo wrote:thinking about it, could it be the dhcp lease on the local router going up and it running a dhcp request and getting the route again?
    Yes.
Your lease is only valid for X minutes/hours, after that it has to be renewed, which will recreate the def route. There's probably a config option in your dhcp client to ignore the def route.

  • Full internet routing in an internet MPLS VPN

Is it possible and advisable to run the full internet routing table in a seperate MPLS VRF. A default route is not an option
    With kind regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
It is not advisable to have full Internet Routing table in a vrf.It is possible that you may run out of memory since different routers have different vrf routes holding capacity.e.g if you are using 12000 series and you have only one vrf configured then you can hold the entire Internet routing table in one vrf.
Which router you have ? Is it 12000 ?How many vrfs you have ? How many routes have you per vrf ?
You need to consider the above questions before making the decision.

Please help us to get route cause and solution to this error log.
    Rgds,
    Tejeshwar Saini

    Hello Tejeshwar,
the OSPF adjacency comes up correctly?
is the device able to forward and receive over the link?
the message appears to just signal the OSPF process has modified the RIB table, because the OSPF neighbor came up, without providing a signal to another process and
This may be without impact or with impact on your device
if you see that there is an impact you should open a TAC service request.
if there is no impact, you may be able to live with this message
You are using IOS XR 3.6. TAC will probably suggest you an upgrade that can take the form or one or more SMU packages or a whole IOS XR upgrade.
    Hope to help

NetFlow export is also supported on other Cisco switches when using a NetFlow Feature Card (NFFC) or NFFC II and the Route Switch Module (RSM), or Route Switch Feature Card (RSFC). However, check whether version 5 is supported, as most switches export version 7 by default.
You can check the below steps to diagnose the issue::
To verify that NetFlow is exported from a device to PI, follow the steps below:
    1)    Browse to Administration > Data Sources page. Check the value in column ‘Last Active Time’  for the ‘Device Data Sources’ table. If the table is empty or  the value does not represent recent time, then
it is possible that the device is not exporting NetFlow or PI Assurance license is not applied / expired.
    2)    Login to PI console ( via SSH) as root user and run the command:
                    netstat –an | grep 9991 – Output of this should be like :  udp        0      0 :::9991         :::*
Check the firewall settings on PI server using the command: firewall -L
    1)    Check the configuration on an IOS / IOS –XE device. Run the commands
    a)    sh running-config | inc destination
    1)    This should list the IP address of the PI SERVER ( along with other outputs if any)
    b)    sh running-config | inc 9991
    1)    This should list at least one entry.
    c)    If the above are fine, then verify that the flow monitor, flow exporter and the flow records are correctly configured on the device.
Refer to the URLs below to configure NetFlow export.

Do anyone have suggestion to do this config or any alternate configuration

    hi there,
yeah you need PBR or ABF for this configlet you're showing.
dont believe that the GSR has that capability in that release.
If I see it right, then you need minimally 420+ for this functionality.
But also pay attention to the engine type cards you have, because there is likely a dependency there also.

Most times when this happens, it just means that PSE forgot your original catalog for some reason and started a new one for you. Go to file>Manage catalogs and locate your old catalog, then repair and optimize it and it should work again.
