GST refund for Apple Singapore Online store purchase

Hello All,
I am planning to visit Singapore for a couple of weeks and thought of buying iPhone 4S from Apple singapore online store. Is it possible to apply for GST refund for purchases made from Apple Singapore online store? If so, could you please suggest how?

From a UK point of view it genrally takes about 3 weeks from when u ordered for it to be delivered to you. However many customers are seening a improvement of these time, as Singapore is closer to China where the iPhones are shipped out from (if not a warehouse in Singapore) I would guess 2 and half weeks from when you ordered.
Just from my personal experience although it has launched in loads of countries today so would not be suprised if it does take 3 weeks to ship and and a week to deliver.

As we are just fellow users, I don't think anybody here will know why they are unavailable (except for demand possibly being higher than supply). In terms of Apple engraving I think you can only get that direct from Apple - whether other stores offer their own engraving service I don't know.

Apple Holiday Online Store is Beautiful!

I didn't know where else to post this, but, I wanted to give kudos to the designers and coders that created the gorgeous 2005 Apple Holiday online store. I love the way the red ribbon was used as an interface element, and how popup product info panels appear to be tied to the item with the red ribbon. I also love the minimal use of red, paired with baby blue and white, and the little red Apple logo tag that appears on banners.
It's all just so beautifully done, great job to whoever created it!

I was at their site just a second ago and started searching for opinions, that's how I found your question here.
In my opinion it's a regular scam and those trademarks there are just stolen.
According to Scam Adviser the domain age is 81 days while in the footnote we see 2010. It's located in US, so this "co.uk" is rather suspisious. There is no company details, no names, no address.
Last but not least - their "payment" page is not even SSL'd and does not allow to rightclick it.

Apple has distribution centers in a number of countries so the unit will come from the closest to your location as a general rule. There may be exceptions when they do not have an item nearby and have to ship from another location.

HT4009 How can I get a refund for my in-app accidental purchase?

I bought my 72-year-old Mother a new iPad 2 and she is loving it. I set up the account for her to purchase new games through the app store if she wanted, but she was not aware that the in-app purchases were real-life purchases, she thought it was fake money inside the game (now she knows). Is it possible to get a refund for this? I tried to do it through the 'report a problem' but it said it was not refundable and $99.99 is a very big mistake to make on her first day with the iPad.

You will need to contact iTunes Store Support.
You may want to consider turning off In-App purchases in the Restrictions:
Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable Restrictions > Create a passcode > verify passcode > Turn off In-App Purchases.

How do you get a refund for an app that was purchased through the new App Catalog for a WebOS app!

I just purchased a Dictionary app from Palm's App Catalog, the product is listed as: English Dictionary and Thesarus by Ultralingua, Inc. and it was not something that was advertised correctly and hence is not something that I want.
It costs a whopping $9.99 and if it was as advertised, it would have been worth the money but it is not.
I've had Dictionaries on my Palm Devices so when I saw the first directory for the WebOs for use on Pre, I immediately got it.
However, unlike my old Palm dictionaries, this dictionary requires you to have a network connection. Something that is not useful for me. I sometimes like to look up word while on the subway to work (I live in NYC) where this is no network connection.
There was nothing in the description that said it 'required' a network connection, and considering that all of the dictionaries I have gotten in the past did not require a network connection, I assumed (since it didn't state anything) that I could use it off-line.
Heck, since you are required to use this dictionary online, I might as well use google to lookup a word and that is free!
So I believe I was tricked into getting this app, and I want a refund!
And there doesn't seem to be a way to get a refund for an app that did not disclose it's requirements before I made my purchase.

Palm does have the ability to remove apps remotely, that was added in the last update.
I knew that would be Palm's response, but I earn you now, Palm better make sure they put a better description on these apps. And in this case its Palm's fault for not disclosing that this app required network support in order to work.
They should at least make that part of a feature description.
This is the second app that I purchased that was not advertised correctly. So I far I have spent good money on crap only because the descriptions did not contain the right info.
I see the only solution is to make all apps have at least a one hour free trail, or whatever free trial you want.
I and I'm sure I'm not alone can't keep purchasing stuff that either doesn't work as advertised or is misleading in the description.
I mean really Palm, you approved a dictionary app that just does a google in the background and displays the definition.
I can do that same thing by typing it on my Pre and hitting Google?
I still feel cheated and ripped off.
I signed up for Palm and WebOS because I wanted to give you a second chance but that love only goes so far. I think Andriod will be in my life soon. I can't stand by and let myself be taken advantage of.
I just can't believe how angry and upset I AM over this.
