GT 683 DX - THX TruStudio Pro settings

Hi all,
i have recently bought GT 683 DX and i was wondering if anyone managed to successfully run THX TruStudio Pro. It launches for me and gives me :
Code: [Select]
The current selected audio device is disabled, not present, not supported by the application, or has unplugged jack connections. Do you want to select another audio device now?
When i click Yes i will get :
Code: [Select]
There is no supported audio device available.
Then i will get to the black small window of the application where everything is grayed out so i can only minimize the window, restore, go through the dialogue again and then close it.
I do play games with 5.1 headset on (all jacks are occupied) and sound has no problems at all.
Anyone has any idea?

Ok i will try this.
How using Realtek drivers will affect games with Punkbuster (like Battlefield 3) with their infamous Realtek vs. Punkbuster error?

Have you tried the original one from windows 7 x64? >>  thx_pro_nb_w7_3264_10211 THX TruStudio Pro(W7 3264,1.02.11)
I suggest you delete the Windows Registry in connection with THX then restart and try your luck in >>> this case MSI version on the website of your laptop goes. Let me know and I'll give you my kit.

  • Z68MA-ED55&THX TruStudio Pro

I cannot make THX Trustudio Pro work on my PC, tried different Realtek HD Audio drivers(from CD, MSI website and Realtek website), different THX drivers (1.03, 1,04) in multiple combinations, but still no luck.
It is my understanding that THX is a licensed software so is it possible that MSI did not update the latest BIOS with proper license?

not happy with MSI Support- they locked my issue although is unresolved
did probably 20 install/uninstalls using driver sweeper and different versions of THX and Realtek drivers- no luck, THX does not show as a device on win audio control panel, audio genie just shows what functions THX is having without being able to change them
did a test with SRS Audio Lab and it did show there even without restart and was able to pick it over Realtek.
when installed THX adds 3 startup entries: Windows Host Process C:\Windows\system32\THXCfg64.dll,RunDLLEntry THXCfg64 and Product Registration Reminder C:\Windows\UpdReg.EXE and C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\THX TruStudio Pro\THXAudioCP\THXAudio.exe
I read somewhere else that this software needs to be registered in order to be used, but the UpdReg.EXE does nothing

  • Z68MA ED55 THX TruStudio Pro not working

I cannot make THX Trustudio Pro work. Returns error when it starts: There is no supported audio device avaible. Driver and Audio Genie is installed. I have read that other users have the same problem but there is no resolution by MSI.
Since I bought and paid for a product that needs to work, expect a fix. I have already written to THX to inform them.
It's the first MSI product I buy, and definitely the last. Their service has closed the ticket without responding. You are the worst of the worst.

    Quote
IMO MSI "forgot" to pay the license and we are stuck with a non-existent , but advertised feature.
Oh, come on: unless you have sufficiant proof for that, this is first and foremost not the opinion you are entitled to have, but mere speculation and therefore somewhat of a conspiracy theory.  You are not only suggesting that the license was not payed for but also that this happened because somebody "forgot" to.  Too many unnecessary assumptions, if you ask me.
Actually, you forgot to include another factor in your theory: the sound chip is neither an MSI nor a Creative product but actually a Realtek® ALC892 chip.  Perhaps Realtek has forgotten to pay for its own part of the license deal, ever thought of that? This is a theory you might even like, as it is based on your original idea, but broader in perspective. It is a more radical  conspiracy theory than yours, because it is able to explain much, much more than yours:
    Quote
It has the same issue on various mainboards/OS combinations.
    Quote
I said various mainboards: MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, Intel, ...
... but let's be honest:  Speculation is what this is, nothing else.
We have a simple symptom: A piece of third party software application is telling you that no supported hardware is found, even though you know that there is a Realtek® ALC892 onboard which is supposed to be supported.  The error message is not mentioning one single thing about a license problem.
The simplest explanations should be preferred to radical conspiracy theories:
    1) A buggy routine in the installation software treats the right hardware as not supported. [a problem Creative needs to fix]
    2) The Realtek Driver which is supposed to properly initialize the hardware and render it usable by other software applications is missing certain flags or device ID markers that cause the THX software to not properly recognize the hardware as supported [a problem Realtek needs to fix]
    3) The BIOS/UEFI is not initializing the onboard sound chip in terms of hardware ID information on the most basic level of hardware initialization [a Problem MSI needs to fix via an UEFI Update]
    4) ... an unfortunate combination of the above.
Once these explanations have been properly falsified, the way is open for speculation and conspiracy-theory-building regarding licenses that were not payed because someone forgot to do that. The bottom line is, that I do not see any indication that the 4 above hypotheses have been sufficiantly falsified in the context of this thread and the involved troubleshooting.
MSI has put forth an UEFI/BIOS update (v10.4) containing the following fix:
    - Update Realtek HD Audio verb table SSID 7676 (Fix THX Audio issue).
This fix basically fits my third hypothesis. If that does not solve the issue, we still have to consider hypothesis 1, 2 and 4 as possible explanations, before it makes sense to build more advanced theories about this whole matter.

  • TITANIUM HD + WINAMP + OPENAL = NO "THX TruStudio Pro" :-(

    Hi,
Could You Creative company make me possibility to enable THX TruStudio Pro using OpenAL Output ? I had that kind of combination used many years with Xtreme Gamer and I would love to use of HARDWARE sound output with TruStudio !

    Ok,
i have tested in Winamp+ Entertnainment Mode:
DirectSound output + EAX Effects = working
DirectSound output + Tru Studio Effects = working
OpenAL Plugin@Default: SB X-FI Audio (Hardware) + EAX Effects = not working
OpenAL Plugin@Default: SB X-FI Audio (Hardware) + True Studio = not working
    OpenAL Plugin@Generic Software + EAX = working
OpenAL Plugin@Generic Software + Tru Studio = working
If your Experience is different? maybe there is something wrong.
In my case i had Problems with the newest Drivers, where the TruStudio effects did not apply or in some cases the Tru Studio effects were not even shown in the Console. Sometimes i had the THX Tru Studio Options in Game Mode when using the Creative Audio Control Panel ( Not in the Console Launcher-Whatnot). Very wierd!
Now i am using the Drivers which were supplied on the CD ( Device Manager shows me Version 6.0300.35 from 02.02.200 ) And everything i need works so far, so i haven't done much research to that.
Maybe you should uninstall everything from Creative as clean as possible and try the older Driver.
And again, sorry for my german english.............

The funny thing is Live Updater 5 said yesterday I just check the available updates for my board, and there was update of Live Updater 5, but when I installed it, it said that I already installed the latest version compared to exe that just downloaded.
But, still, there were no updates from Live Updater. Just download the latest version of Realtek HD Audio in Realtek website.
I'm not a fan of Live Updater. It's rather unpolished IMO. It shows products as not installed when they are or the wrong versions from what I have installed, not acceptable for me. It also shows products that aren't from MSI, like Media Expresso. If it's not available from the downloads section of my products page, I don't want to see it. That's really just my personal preference and won't fault LU for that.
But I was referring to checking manually at the Z68A-GD80 downloads page

  • MSI Z68A-GD(55) (B3) and THX TruStudio PRo

    Hello
Before I created a new topic I simply made a little search on forum and found that some people have already same problem like mines. Bios uptade was a solution for 1 user and I did the same.
I uptaded my current bios via Live uptade5, Uninstalled all sound devices then downloaded Realtek Sound driver, Audio Genie and THX drivers but the problem still exist.
    Here is my spec:
    MSI Z68A-GD(55) (B3)  Bios ver. : 22.5
    i5-2500k
Zotac GTX460 ( Nvidia sound drivers not installed )
    8gb Kingston hyperx rams
    win7 64bit
    Logitech Z-5500
    Optic cable
    Any suggestions? Thank you

Personal groups, you started another thread about the same problem. Here you state you have the same board, yet in the other thread you state you have the -GD80.
    Quote
I am facing the same problem with same board ..
Thats is not the same board. The -GD65 and -GD55 share the same BIOS, but not the -GD80.
Please start your own thread in this section, I am locking the other thread.
In addition, THX has been developed to make use of a full surround sound system, i.e. 5.1 or 7.1.  A 2.1 speaker system cannot make use of THX unless its a 2.1 amplifier specifically designed and certified for THX. I speak under correction here, but the software may not even make THX available if it doesn't sense a full surround having been plugged in, whether its through the normal multiple speaker plugs, SPDIF connector or HDMI.
Do you even have the Realtek HD Audio Manager available after your driver installation?

  • GT70 0ND-444US Creative THX TruStudio no output spotted

I have GT70 0ND-444US which it has Dynaudio Feature. I noticed Creative THX TruStudio  program is running all the time, but when I opened the program, the program shows a message that says no output(or input) spotted. I am not sure that this program only works with THX Headphones, but does THX TruStudio works in built-in speaker? If does, can you explain me how to enable this THX feature on my laptop?
    Thanks!

Omnibook2100, I did fix the problem. After installing realtek sound driver, I opened the thx eq program which was opened in my background and was able to configure Soundboost and etc. i hope this helped out for you.
Apparently, I had to re-install the Realtek HD Audio driver for the THX EQ driver to work. I still cannot get THX AP Driver to install though. I mean double-clicking on the install file takes you nowhere. Strange. In Device Manager I have this [?] under the "Other Devices" section. In case I cannot get it to install I hope it's not anything vital, as things are running quite smoothly for now. Any insights would be great and thanks for the help!
    Appreciate it.

  • P67A-GD55 THX TRUSTUDIO NOT INCLUDED????

audio genie says to install THX TRUSTUDIO, yet the software is not included in the cd. to make matters worst, the software is not even downloadable from: THX or Creative or MSI websites.
How do you you install THX Trustudio?????
    can anyone help? thanks

What HU16E suggested was to "contact MSI Tech Support with a ticket" and NOT to open another thread about the same question in some other section of the same user-to-user forum.  OF COURSE I locked that thread and I will do it again without hesitating.
You can contact MSI Technical Support here: http://support.msi.com/
Before you so, however, please install the latest Realtek HD Audio Drivers for your operating system:  http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false ... and retest.

  • Secret to the THX TruStudio sound card?

What is the secret to the THX TruStudio sound card?
I can't seem to get the driver to find the hardware.
I tried the Realtek HD driver. It seems to work, but I don't think it found that particular piece of hardware.
    I still don't have sound.
Here is one of the errors I had, along with many. Even one suggesting I should upgrade to Vista.
Now I'm wondering, does this even works with Windows XP 64 bit edition?:
I did reseat it about three times. I still got the same error.
Did some reading on this issue in this fourm.
A lot of reading about conspiracies theories, although entertaining.
    Not very helpful.
From what I understand, it's a buggy software install.
I don't want to go pointing fingers at anybody. I just want to know how to fix it.

  • XPS 8100 THX Trustudio software?

I can't seem to locate the software download that installs the XPS 8100 THX Trustudio PC  control panel? I have checked the Dell download site, THX site, and Creative Labs site....can't locate it. I installed the Realtek HD Audio Manager from Dell but that did NOT install the THX control panel that comes with the PC out of the box.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The THX Trustudio PC software from Dell can be found on this Creative Labs link, in case the program can not be obtained from the Dell web site.
This software requires a Realtek HD Audio driver from late 2010 or later and the THX program may not work with old & outdated Realtek audio drivers.  In that case, install or upgrade your Realtek audio drivers first from the Realtek site, reboot and then install the THX Trustudio PC program.

  • Titanium HD - THX TruStudio on box but not included in software?

I used to have the WoW Wireless Headset and it included THX TruStudio PC. It had sliders to adjust things like Surround, Crystallizer, Bass, etc. I picked up a SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium HD and installed the latest drivers from the creative website (dated Feb. 2 or something). I run on Game mode at all times, mostly because I'm afraid to switch between Entertainment, Game, and Audio Creation (switching causes a feedback loop by setting the mic input volume to like uhh....4000% and setting my mic to playback through my headset until I shutdown my computer?! You guys want me deaf or something!). Anyways, I really like the THX Control Panel on my WoW headset so why isn't it included with this sound card? Another thing is EAX effects have no presets...how do I use EAX without presets?
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Excuse the theme I don't want shards of glass getting stuck in my eyes every time something crashes, I'm old school like that.
    http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/408/audiocp.png
P.S. A mic boost on this card would be nice too...using Razer Carcharias my voice is quite low volume at 100%!

I said nothing about getting 7.1 audio on component cables. The card is meant to be used with a 2.1 speaker set as it outputs 2 channel stereo audio through its RCA jacks. There is no analog add on module announced for it as of yet that would provide 7.1 analog channel output.
If you did not know what you were buying, then it is your lack of comparison shopping or failure to read the feedback on sites like NewEgg and Amazon. What you expected and what was in the box are two different things.
I do not say these things to be harsh. The box has pictures and specifications on the side panels and the manuals are available for download.
    Cheers,
