  • GT60 0ND unlocked BIOS problem

    Hello,
I've unlocked my BIOS on my own and have a problem. I can nearly do everything but there is one part missing.
In the BIOS-File I can see that there are toggles in "Chipset". My mod should allow to get access to this part but I can't see it at all.
Could someone look at it and tell me what's wrong with it?
I'm not allowed to post an external link, so maybe I could give a link per pm.
    Thanks in advance

  • My GT60 0ND just completely died... help?

'm usually not the one to ask for support like this, but this time I would really appreciate some advice. I cherish my MSI GT60 0ND-250US laptop, and while playing a simple, non-graphically demanding game last night, my entire laptop just died. In a split second the fans turned off, the screen went black, the hard drive shut down, and it was completely bricked. It didn't overheat, as that was the first thing I felt for and upon inspection the fans are clean of dust. Talk about any computer user's worst nightmare!
    So far, I have tried:
     - Removing the power supply and trying to start it up
     - Removing the battery and plugging it in and trying to start it up
     - Removing the disk drive and trying to start it up
     - And finally, removing the HD and trying to start it up
And, as you could probably guess, none of it worked :(. I'm trying not to freak out, but short of replacing the CPU/GPU, I can't really think of what to do! Every 20 seconds or so I can see the battery indicator LED flash on for a split second, so some power is flowing sometimes at least. Otherwise, it is completely 100% dead. I can't find any similar problems for MSI laptops online, and as I said, I'm pretty desperate at this point. If anyone here has any advice at all, I would be greatly, greatly appreciative!

Thank you so much for the quick response! In response to your advice:
    1. I just tried uninstalling one RAM stick and starting it up, no change.
    2. This is one thing I'm hesitant to try - If I uninstall the GPU, I don't have the thermal paste or whatever it's called to reinstall it. Also, I was under the impression that even if the GPU was broken in some way, I would still hear the fans trying to start up. I can of course try this if you believe it's the best course of action, but hopefully as a last resort.
    3. Just tried that now, and there doesn't seem to be blinking. Also, I was a bit unclear in my original post: I saw the battery light blinking at about 20sec intervals last night (while the battery was installed and the laptop unplugged), but after a while gave up and got some sleep. By the time I woke up today, the blinking stopped, even though literally nothing changed except for the passage of time.
Again, thanks for the great advice!

  • GT60 0ND BIOS Request

    Hi,
    I have GT60 0ND (gt60-75x485fd) with following BIOS Version:
    E16F3IMS.10U
    Three questions:
    1) Is it possible to get EFI Firmware on my GT60?
    2) Is it possible to unlock the OC Limit of the nvidia Card? (GTX 675MX, limited to +135Mhz Core Clock..)
    3) What possibility do I have to overclock the CPU? (i7 3rd Gen)
    Thanks in advance!
    Greetings

Hm got my main problem (GPU OC) fixed by flashing GTX 765MX BIOS (4GB Version) from following thread:
    http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/1847-nvidia-kepler-vbios-mods-overclocking-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks.html
But I'm a bit confused, as with GE60 Notebook (GTX 660M), I had to flash System BIOS to unlock higher clocks and now I had to flash Video BIOS with nvflash..?? Can I achieve the same thing with another system BIOS?
I also read a bit about CPU OC and as I "only" have a 3630QM only BLCK would work which isn't worth the hassle..
So only problem left is getting EFI BIOS on my machine, but I think it is not possible..
Maybe you can tell me some other things which a modded BIOS can provide for me

  • BIOS MSI GT60 ONC mod for recognize VGA

Is it possible to mod BIOS for recognize GTX770M?
I'm not sure BIOS E16F3IMS.10U already supported this one.
Screenshot from GPU-Z on Windows 8
    http://s1176.photobucket.com/user/kiba208/media/GTX770M_on_GT60ONC.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1
My problems are HD4000 not fully function, stuttering graphics and kernel driver error every time I used 3D application or DirectX.
Even GPU-Z must open it twice to run.

eh bro you can google regarding your questions as this nb which i also have but with gtx680m can be upgraded to 780m. Try going to techinferno.com or with notebookreview.com. The card runs 100& on win7 from win8 and manage to successfully run the new mxm board with a little bios settings.
I hope this helps you with your new mxm board

(turning off the Secure Boot and switching from UEFI to Legacy in the BIOS) in order to get the card fully operational - otherwise all the drivers I have tried in my Windows 8 partition made the card unstable or simply Windows 8 unbootable (black screen).

  • M93p BIOS issue: PowerOff not correct if Enhanced Power Saving Mode Disabled and Wake on Lan Enabled

Hi Levnovo support team, Recently I bought a M93p tiny(10AAA05MTW)(BIOS revision FBKT56A)and installed with Ubuntu 13.10 myself. Then tried to enable wake on lan for my tiny. The followings are my test result. 1. Enhanced Power Saving Mode Enabled, no mateter what is Wake On Lan setting     PowerOff system is OK. 2. Enhanced Power Saving Mode Disable and Wake On Lan Disabled    PowerOff system is OK. 3. Enhanced Power Saving Mode Disabled and Wake On Lan Primary or Automatic   PowerOff system is NG.   When I tried to power off system, it always can poweroff(LEDs on front all off) then POWER ON again in 2 or 3 seconds.   I cannot accept this test result ,system should poweroff not reboot again.   It's really hard to understand why enabling Wake on Lan will affect power off function. I tried the same procedures with my another M92p(3212A16)(BIOS revision 9SKT70AUS), and it works well.

Did you ever get a fix for this?Having the same issue on 3 of 6 machines that just arrived.

  • MSI GE60 0ND BIOS and EC Request

My System (GE60 0ND-228XTH) came with FreeDos pre-installed.
    BIOS Version: E16GAIMS.10F
    BIOS Build:     12/18/2012 15:20:43
    EC Version:    16GAEMS Ver4.04
    EC Build:        04/26/2012
The real need of this request is to fix the Wireless Connection Drop issue (happens randomly or after waking up) occurred in Windows 8 OS.
    I have tried ...
      - Every combination of BIOS/EC that are provided in the official MSI page and compatible with my System.
      - Every SCM that is compatible with Windows 8 OS.
      - Any solution about Connection Drop issue in Windows 8 OS.
    but still no luck.
The best bet is to use
     - E16GAIMS.10F   BIOS
     - 16GAEMS1.505  EC
Though the problem still persist, the frequency of occurrence is less than other approaches.
Since this above EC firmware is for Windows 8 System, so this is not the best workaround for my system.
That is why my assumption came up with BIOS/EC and made this request.
This problem is NEVER shown in the Windows 7 OS and any Linux Distributions.
Also, can you add any updates possible for BIOS and EC.
I will make a donation as soon as possible after your confirmation.
    Thank in advance.
Edit: Added Current BIOS Configuration Screen.

its probably wifi driver related or something specified for win8
    try different wifi drivers
I already tried many drivers from the MSI itself, Intel, even other Notebook Manufacturers, but still not working.
I have tested Windows 8 in my friend's notebook(DELL) that has similar Wireless Adapter and everything working fine without issues like mine, so that means Windows 8 is not the culprit.

try set wifi to max performance from power profiles
This is one of solutions I've tried long ago and it failed.
    Anyway, thank for your response.

Did your notebook come with Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed ORIGINALLY?
If it came with Windows 7, there is no way to enable UEFI booting.....which explains why you can't see that option....
