GT60 modified bios request | split

I see MSI released an upgraded bios for the GT60 MS-16F3, if it's the same work already done here, could I donate to have it unlocked as well? E16F3IMS.10U.zip > I'm using a ssd in main bay non-raid.  Sorry if posted incorrectly. Thanks

Noticed that yesterday, though the Win8 50X/70X version are downloading - I know these won't work for my motherboard.
Aha, yes those are not for your NB

Could I use an unlocked version of my current bios (E16F3IMS.10S) and update to 10U later?
Yes

The reason for the update doesn't seem to impact me,
Modify F3 recovery function for shrink volume issue.
Just wanting more options in the bios.  Feel restricted without them
Oki, will work over it and send back to you when its done. [will take some time 2-3 hours]

  • GT60 0ND BIOS Request

    Hi,
    I have GT60 0ND (gt60-75x485fd) with following BIOS Version:
    E16F3IMS.10U
    Three questions:
    1) Is it possible to get EFI Firmware on my GT60?
    2) Is it possible to unlock the OC Limit of the nvidia Card? (GTX 675MX, limited to +135Mhz Core Clock..)
    3) What possibility do I have to overclock the CPU? (i7 3rd Gen)
    Thanks in advance!
    Greetings

Hm got my main problem (GPU OC) fixed by flashing GTX 765MX BIOS (4GB Version) from following thread:
    http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/1847-nvidia-kepler-vbios-mods-overclocking-editions-modified-clocks-voltage-tweaks.html
But I'm a bit confused, as with GE60 Notebook (GTX 660M), I had to flash System BIOS to unlock higher clocks and now I had to flash Video BIOS with nvflash..?? Can I achieve the same thing with another system BIOS?
I also read a bit about CPU OC and as I "only" have a 3630QM only BLCK would work which isn't worth the hassle..
So only problem left is getting EFI BIOS on my machine, but I think it is not possible..
Maybe you can tell me some other things which a modded BIOS can provide for me

  • MSI GT70 0NC Unlocked Bios Request | Split

Hello Svet. I send you PM but I'm not sure it worked
I need an unlocked Bios for my GT70 model 0NC-002US.
My GTX670M died on me and I ordered a GTX765M ( MSI flashed). I should get it in a week or so
my problem is that I removed the defective GPU because the laptop won't power up if I leave it in the PCi-E slot
but once removed, the laptop runs the Fan full speed at all times. So I need to select the Intel card in the unlocked Bios
could you send me the info / donation procedure please ?
    thank you

Don't bump your posts: >>Please read and comply with the Forum Rules.<<
I guess you mean ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS and not WD. That is a dual cpu socket XEON workstation board not meant for gaming (hardware). The NV282MS.352 vbios the vga uses is a current one. Contact Asus and report the compatibility issue and maybe they can help you with.
My use of my system is video editing.  It uses gpu heavily for encoding.  Hence, the hot GFX card I just purchased.  I have been in contact several times with Asus, since they also produce an N770 card, and they do not have any known compatibility issues with their own products, at least.  The card worked perfectly with this N770 card when it had the previous BIOS.  It was when I upped the BIOS to the latest version that I had the issue.  Other GFX cards do work.  The N770 wont finish POST.  100% fail.  I ended up purchaseing a new BIOS chip with the previous bios flashed, since they could not produce a procedure for me to downgrade.  However, I will not be able to use new CPUs with the later micro-codes until I find a way to update the BIOS.  Otherwise, I would be FD&H with the old one.
    Thanks for the reply,

Decompress the attached .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (xxx.rar) and put the included file (TVxxxxx.zzz) on that stick.
    Rename TVxxxxx.zzz to zzz.rom.
    Put the atiflash.exe from: https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2306/atiflash-4-17/

Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 zzz.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

This maschine have both integrated and dedicated GPU and I'd like option to disable the integrated one completly if possible. Also would be great if the overclock allowed on the dedicated card.
Thank You for reading and hope it was understandable.

  • BIOS Request for G580 Model 2189 Windows 7 x64

Hello, could someone please provide an original BIOS for G580 Model 2189 x64 Windows 7? Thank you!

Not to difficult to find... Why the "original" BIOS request?  Usually not a good idea to backstep BIOS unless directed to by support professionals.  Also, BIOS updates are independant of Windows Versions, the installer or "flashing": program used to install the BIOS file is sometimes Windows version dependant.
Either way - check this page for BIOS files:  http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g580-no...

  • MS16F3 (GT60 Barebone) Bios Unlocked bios + EC

I would like to unlock my bios and EC on this laptop (16F32). But I want to know if I can use the GT60's bios instead of the current one I have (stock from powernotebooks) as it's bugging me a lot right now.
    Mainboard:  MS-16F3
    PCB Version:  REV:1.0
    BIOS Version: E16F3IMT.30M
    BIOS Date:  7/11/2012
EC-FW Version: couldn't be determined with the MSIHQ tools (and I clearly don't know any other way to find it)
    Specs:
    nVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M
    Intel Core i7-3610QM 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3/1600 Dual Channel Memory
500GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive
There are two things that I want to know:
-I'm using a custom fitted 240watts power adapter instead of the original 180w, so how can I make sure to get full benefit of it while OC'ing/etc?
-I have 2 keyboards, one is the original nonbacklit which is fine, and the other is a backlit one. The latest has the fn key on the left side as opposed to the windows key, so I want to know if I can swap the keys somehow? Also if I do, will it affect my nonbacklit keyboard?

Can you elaborate a bit; What are the chances that this is a result of the bios flashing? Having had this problem before with the unmodded bios I think it's unlikely a hardware issue. Could it be an option in the bios causing this?
I want to eliminate the possibilities before I attempt anything.

Stress NB with prime95, leave it for 24 hours to test, on "Large In place FFTs"
If its passed will means that CPU & Memory, mobo are fine,
and issue is related to the GPU or charger.
