GT680 taking photos

sorry if this has already been discussed i have looked for this topic but to no prevail. I know how to turn on the webcam using the fn keys and have no problem using the camera via skype msn ect, but is there a way to take photos and record video with it using software included with the laptop as i cant seem to find anything.
any help would be much appreciated

i'm not in front of my gx680 right now, but here is a link to the utility available in the msi website http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GX680.html#/?div=Utility&os=Win7%2032 - you just need to turn on the webcame via fn + Fsomething then run that utility. there are some effects there too, and some backgrounds that you can customize with your own transparent gif files.

Not sure if I'm not looking hard enough but I couldn't seem to find the settings anymore to disable photostream syncing when my iPhone is not on wifi. It used to be a pretty obvious setting on IOS 5 but seems to be missing on IOS 6.
The conundrum is, data is being used whenever I take photos now. Since taking photos for me happens mostly outdoors, I will always be on data which is on a monthly allowance with my provider. I hope this is just a case of me being blind. Please let me know the solution.

I'm having the same problem! Shared photostream are using a lot of data on 3G.. Won't stop synching unless I disable cellular data altogether. Is there any other way to stop photostream from synching over 3G and limit it to WIFI only?

Thank you very much for your reply gdgmacguy :) I did all you suggested apart from restore as new device . Didn't know I could do that . After restore I did restore from back up only, as I didn't want to end up without contacts details on my phone. If I restore as new device how do I get my all contacts? Still will have to use back up? Sorry if it sounds like I don't know what i am doing, i just have no one to ask who would know. Thank you

Lumia 1020 pro cam just keeps taking photos when y...

On my att 1020 if you try to take a picture in the pro cam app using the camera button on the side of the phone it will keep taking photos untill you back out of the application. Works fine if you use the onscreen button to take the shot. The camera button works fine in windows(opens the pro cam app). It also works fine in the built in windows camera app. This problem happens using either camera in the pro cam app. The steps I've taken so far in order(phone was up to date on the auto updates at the beginnning:
Power cycled the phone(held power and told it to shut down)
Reset the camera in the pro cam app
Uninstalled the pro cam app and downloaded it from the app store
Did a factory reset of the phone and tried again.
Ran the updates and tried again.
I called AT&T's support to see if they had any ideas and they didn't. The twitter support for nokia was a wash as well. Has anyone on here seen this before and have any ideas?

Not sure if this is the cause but ...Open Nokia Pro Cam and tap Options (...) .. Confirm that 'Bracketing' is not enabled..
(I enabled it and then did Reset the Camera settings.. still it was ON .. It got disabled only when I selected to Cancel it ..)

I noticed while camera app turns ON the phone going to hand.
I went to apple services server with this problem & they said they didn't see any errors.

That often happens with cameras when you take pictures of a computer screen. LCD screens "flicker" and the camera will often catch the flicker.

Where are you seeing these duplicates? In the iPhoto window or in the Finder?

The device has an 8GB drive for caching streamed meida, a small portion of that is used to temporarily store photos for the screensaver. It may vary depending on resolution etc but it seems to be around 100.

Taking photos with my iPhone5c color shifts from photo to square

When taking photos with my iphone 5c ios7 I notice the color shifts from photo to square. The color changes are noticible. I have auto focus on, flash off, on both formats I click on the image to get exposure and focus and take the photo.

If the colors look different when you take pictures in "photo" and "square" mode, make sure that there are no filters being used:
Apply a filter: (iPhone 4s or later) Tap the filter icon to apply different color effects, such as black & white. To turn off a filter, tap , then tap None. You can also apply a filter later, when you edit the photo. See Edit photos and trim videos.
If you are seeing unexpected results when taking pictures with your iPhone 5c, these troubleshooting steps can help:
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

The iPhone has a 1 year warranty. Restore the phone in iTunes with the latest iOS to remove the 'gray market'. You will then have to send it to your close friend, at your expense, to take it back to the Apple store in Toronto to have the phone looked at. Then your close friend will need to send the phone back to you, at your expense.
I would also sudggest that you send your friend a sim from your carrier in India. This way after it is fixed/replaced he can try the sim at the Apple store to ensure that it is unlocked.

Instant camera taking photos for no reason

Basically, when I open up the WebCam Centre and the Capture tab the camera starts taking photo's of it's own accord. I am not touching anything, sometimes I am not even using the mouse and it takes a photo. Sometimes it's every 0 seconds sometimes it's more than once a second - I have looked through all the support areas, done google searches, trawled through the forums, emailed customer support to no avail. I have even returned the product to Amazon and been sent a replacement and the problem still occurs. I can see no setting where this is scheduled to happen. I'm guessing there is a conflict somewhere but am at a loss now... I have Windows XP Media Centre installed and the camera is an Instant Skype Edition...All I want to know is if the error is fixeable or not... Thankyou in advance!

I can't even see the Advanced FX feature when I'm in the WebCam Centre. The way I've read the different messages and Instant Info on the web - I thought you could only see/use the advanced fx stuff?if you are 'broadcasting' via Yahoo... Am not happy...! I was getting this even on iOS 4.0, but under this OS, I can restart the phone, and in some cases, this problem goes away.
However, under iOS 5, it simply wouldn't go to LANDSCAPE. Photos is not a worry, since I can just rotate this, but videos is now stuck on Portrait!
Again, the PORTRAIT ORIENTATION SETTING is NOT LOCKED! But it still wouldn't go to Landscape.
Is this some sort of a "gyroscope" problem??

Sorry, but you are mistaken about both observations.
You CAN DEFINITELY take photos in Landscape and you CAN DEFINITELY watch YouTube videos in PORTRAIT (just tried it now using my sister's working iPhone).
Also, my CALCULATOR does not go to LANDSCAPE (i.e. from normal to Scientific) automatically.
So I still think it could be a gyroscope problem...but I'm not 100% sure.
