GT70-2OD GTX780 no longer working?? Intel HD only??

So, starting last night, I seem to be having a problem where the integrated Intel HD graphics processor is the only one which will operate. the system still detects the nVidia card, but does not leverage it. I have set in the nVidia control panel to use the nVidia card as the system default, but this is no longer working. Further, when i attempt to install the 320.49 version nVidia drivers, which specifically list this card and which the nVidia update specified for me, the driver installer says it cannot detect any compatible hardware.
Anyone know what's going on? I'm running the stock Win8 install and have made no changes to drivers or system components.

You're not the first with the issue, and honestly, you'd be the first that didn't try the beta drivers.
While not all issues are fixed (we had someone have an issue with CS:GO a few days ago), all other newer games were working just fine for those that needed updated drivers.
Personally, I have a GTX680M and I'm working just fine on the beta drivers. I wouldn't worry that much about it to be perfectly honest.
But you're welcome to do what you like.

GT70 2OD Blueray does not work (TSST SN-406AB)

Hey guys,
I've googled this issue and came across many users with the same problem. Unlike many GT70's out there, mine came with an older SN-406AB model Blueray reader. I'm having hard time making it work. CD's and DVD's work as they're supposed to. But none of my bluerays play. Sometimes it doesn't even recognize that a disc is inserted. Anyone here found a solution? I don't wanna go with the hassle of RMA for this issue...

Print Selection no longer working for Firefox only using a HP Laserjet 1100

Was working fine yesterday. Is not working today. Print selection prints out content fine with IE but not with Firefox. What has changed from yesterday? How do I fix the problem? Thanks, in advance.

Keyboard shortcuts no longer work after upgrade to ios 6

After upgrading to iOS 6, the keyboard shortcuts on my iPhone 4S no longer work. Not only that I can't change them either. If I add or delete a shortcut, it simply goes back to the way it was when I exit the settings and go back in. My iPad 2 doesn't have this problem, only my iPhone 4S.
I tried restarting as well as doing a reset (hold home and power button).
Any idea how to fix this?

If you want to go through all the steps I took:
1. Restart
2. Soft reset (hold home and power until Apple logo appears)
3. Reset keyboard dictionary
4. Reset all settings
5. Clear autofill
Only after the last step did things start working. Prior to that I couldn't make any changes I made to the keyboard shortcuts stick, though every now and then changes would take. Sometimes trying to delete a shortcut would crash the settings app. In all cases the shortcuts didn't work.

E72 - Photo editing no longer working with new FW ...

The option in image gallery to edit photos no longer works. It only brings up a partial blank window with no editing options as in the previous fw versions (where editing worked fine). Any ideas?

Problem solved. I formatted my memory card (which I now use only for music and photos) and that solved the problem. Editing back and working as it should. Phew!

Compilations No Longer Work For Videos

Hi,
Pre iTunes 12, it was possible to group videos together by checking the 'part of of a compilation'.
So, for example, you had the Harry Potter films, instead of having separate films, you could use the compilation option and assign each film a disc number so when clicking on the video cover, it would expand to show each disc showing the individual films.
In iTunes 12 this option no longer works and will only display each film as a separate video.
Bizarrely, if you change one of the films from Movie to Music Video, keeping the remaining films as Movie, the compilation option seems to work.
Has anyone found another way of doing this ?

Play/Pause Button no longer working

I updated to iTuned version 11.1 so I could update my phone to iOS 7. Now the Play/Pause button on my mac no longer works. Not only that, but the same button on my external keyboard doesn't work as well. Even if iTunes is the window I am currently on, nothing. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

Didn't know this but just tested on my Apple TV v3-rA and pressing and holding play/pause does put it into sleep mode.
Thanks for sharing that, it's not 5 seconds mind you, it only took 2-3 for me.

Sound not working in iTunes only

For awhile after downloading the newest iTunes 7 version everything was going well, until one day I restarted my computer and now I don't have sound. Everything runs and plays correctly, but there's no sound. I know there's nothing wrong with my speakers because everything besides iTunes is working normally. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

Same issue here. The sound no longer works in itunes only. The sound works fine in all other applications, passes the quicktime hardware tests. I have uninstalled and installed itunes for windows. All music appears to play, but no sound. Black diamond runs across as normal, videos appear to play - you can see the video, but there is no sound.
The last change to my system was the installation of the video game "Need for Speed" which has since been removed.

i tried to update my graphic card driver from http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT70-2OD.html#download
it didnt work it said not compatiable
im using latest beta driver from nvidia webiste
you guys have right stuff on the website
there is so much variation i didnt see GT70 2OD-019US link so i guess i could use downloads from GT70 20D
maybe im wrong

Try that driver.
The problem with the 320.49 'release' drivers is that they don't include the proper information to work with the newer GTX7XXM video cards on MSI laptops. You need to download the latest beta drivers, as they have the proper information to work. The next release, whatever that might be, should work just fine then.

should have all the drivers you need. You can try going to the individual manufacturer website to update them too, such as Intel for the Intel iGPU.

Me again, THANKS FOR HE TALENS well it kind of worked, but I had one chance and have not seen it since but all the root, or iCloud, basically all keychains might have been rest to defaults, but if I try a password, it hakes and says incorrect, the apple id worked though?!?

Since latest Thunderbolt Firmware update, most of my third party programs no longer work, is there a way I can fix this?

Since the latest update, most of my third party apps no longer work, none of my photo software, torrent programs, open office, NOTHING!! It is most frustrating - is there a way to 'downgrade' and go back to a previous version of the firmware, or am I just stuck with no apps that work?

ITunes no longer working after Song Upgrade.

I got onto iTunes store, was offered to upgrade 32 of my songs, I said "Yes". After the upgrading completed, iTunes main window pane no longer worked for anything but the iTunes store. It will play my music if I manually select it from the disk (via Finder) but does not seem to be able to display any of my playlists or my music library.
I am running Safari 3.0 (as an FYI).
Mac OS X 10.4.9 (on an intel mini).

Unfortunately uninstalling and reinstalling, or repairing the current copy of iTunes alone doesn't fix the problem....
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Search in Google no Longer works--still

Although it is visible, when I select text and choose "Search in Google" from within an e-mail, nothing happens. This holds true for both my imap and smtp accounts. Safari does not open, nor Firefox. I have tried setting and resetting my preferred browser. I am not sure, but I think this started with the last update. Help.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.

VueScan no longer works with Yosemite

I have a MacBook Pro (15 Inch, Mid 2009) Processor,3.06 GMz Intel Core 2 Duo GMz Memory 8GB 2067 MHz DDR 3. After loading Yosemite (OS 10.10), VueScan no longer works. VueScan can't recognize my scanner.
Any ideas.

Did you download and install the latest driver (v12.34.0) for the HP4500 from HP?
