GT70 2OD with Italian keyboard?

Hello,
I'm interested in GT70 2OD with Italian keyboard but I can't find nothing in my country (MSI Italy site is empty)... and I wonderd if the Italian version of the keyboard is available at all?
Suggestions? Where to buy etc. since it's not available in my country...

Your best bet will be to contact MSI directly with this question. Most likely no one here will be able to help you answer that.

  • Shortcuts for "Liquify" with Italian keyboard

    Sorry for the stupid question.
I’d like to know how can I increase and decrease the brush size inside the Liquify filter with Photoshop CS5 64bit and an Italian keyboard (I don’t have “[ nad ]” and I have “ò and à” keys).
Inside Photoshop I can use the ò and à keys, inside Liquify I can use only alt+è and alt++ (on my keyboard this are the combinations for [ and ]). Where can I edit the shortcuts for the Liquify filter? Is there a way to do that? I tried to search in the keyboard shortcut menu but I couldn’t find anything interesting.
Can you please help me? Thanks.

    Thanks for the answer.
That shortcut seems to work only outside Liquify, and not inside it. I already set “ò” and “à” to increase and decrease the size of the brush, and I have no problem to use them inside PhotoshopCS5 except for the Liquify filter.
This is my problem, I am searching for something that modifies the shortcuts of Liquify filter. I knew the ALT+MAIUSC+CTRL+K menu, I just can’t find a way to use personal shortcuts inside Liquify.

  • T440p with italian keyboard preinstalled

Hi everyone, this is my first post hope I'm doing everything right (and sorry for my english).
I'm about to purchase a new laptop and I was oriented toward a T440p (never owned anything Lenovo-related). I currently live in France, so it is pretty natural for me to look at the French website.
Unfortunately I'd like my laptop to be equipped with an Italian keyboard (with the lowercase accented letters etc.)
Sadly it seems that the only QWERTY layout I can have is the UK/USA one. It seems to me that buying on the Italian website is not an option (the page is in Spanish! There is no way to buy there and I'd like not to buy from resellers which don't allow me to customize my laptop)
Is it possible to ask, in some way, Lenovo.fr to install a Italian keyboard? I guess that it is not difficult to mount by myself a keyboard, but there are some issue in this:
I'd really like to avoid opening my laptop as long as it is still new
I'd have to buy ($$$) an additional keyboard and I'd end with an unused keyboard (Which I could sell, but still...)
Since changing the options for the allowed keyboards (FR/UK/USA) on the website is free I guess that the price of the keyboard can be thought as included in the laptop price, and I think that Lenovo.fr has no problem in obtaining a Italian keyboard somehow, and not to forget that going after a high-end product should be rewarded by some quality service
Mind you, I have no problem to pay a little (reasonable) extra an wait a little (reasonably) more for this.
    Thanks everybody!
    Ajeje

  • Can I install Windows 7 on a GT70 2OD-019US that came with Windows 8?

I have a GT70 2OD-019US, that came with Windows 8. I want to install Windows 7 instead, and forget about the trauma of Win8.
My Win 8 isn't the type that offers the downgrade.

Thanks Nichrome and darkhawk. I'll try booting from the disc using Legacy.
I hadn't heard of Start8 - it looks good, if I end up keeping Win8 it'll be worth the few bucks to make it feel like Win7.
It's what I did, and honestly, outside of the 'looks' of Windows 8, it makes it feel like Windows 7 enough that it's worth the $5.

  • MacBook Pro with German Keyboard from Italian Store

    Hi,
I want to buy a MacBook Pro with German Keyboard Layout from the Italian Store, but the German Layout is not listen in the available Keyboard Layouts (only Italian, France, English International, English US).
Does anyone know how to order it? Or is there any other possibility to get it? Will Apple add German to the list in the future?

You might try calling an Apple retail store and ask if they can get one for you.

  • Does it support 2 (one extra) Hard drives? "GT70 2OD-831XBE"

    Hi there,
So I found this laptop that I really want. Why? Because 4700MQ and GTX 780M...
BUT it has only one hard drive (7200rpm 1TB), and I would love add my 256GB SSD to it.
Question is.. Can I? Is there room for one? Does it support an extra hard drive? I have seen "GT70 2OD" models vary from 1 to 3 hard drives..
I have to ask it here, on this forum because the googles doesn't know the model number "GT70 2OD-831XBE". The BE stands for Belgium and means it has an Azerty keyboard (yes sadly enough I need it, I live there). Oh btw this one doesn't have an operating system pre-installed. I have no clue, but maybe that's what the "X" stands for?
You can check out the website for the specs (written in dutch, but I think you can manage).
If you add 'www' than this is the link: laptopshop.be/product/410408/category-180904-msi-laptops/msi-gt70-2od-831xbe-azerty.html#product_specifications
I really hope you guys can help me.
    Thanks.

Thank you very much for your response darkhawk.
So either way I will always be able to fit a 2nd hard drive in there?
Because there is only one hard drive in there, which means there is a free bay physically (wether it is for SATA or SuperRaid 2).
Are there GT70 models that don't have 2 bays? (This was my initial question, I now notice it was confusing.)
And yeah if there is a 2nd slot it probably won't be SuperRaid 2 (which is good in my case ).
This will be my first MSI laptop so I'm very new to the brand, the used hardware and model numbers.
    Thank's again!
    A GT70 is a GT70 is a GT70.
Basically, no matter what GT70 (as of writing this...keep that in mind) it is, it will have 2 x 2.5" bays. In some cases, 1 bay will be taken up by a SuperRaid/SuperRaid 2 (older models like my 0NE came with SuperRaid, newer 2OE's and such come with SuperRaid 2) card, in others it will be an open/free slot.
As I said, it will have 2 bays no matter what. I'm just not sure if the 2nd bay will be SATA or SuperRaid. Most likely it will be SATA, but I can't say with 100% certainty.

  • GT70-2OD BSOD after BIOS /EC update

    Hello all,
I was having wireless disconnect issues with the Killer N1202. I had changed a couple of my wireless router's settings and updated to the latest Killer drivers / network manager and turned off the application monitoring. I still had the disconnect issue.
In my zeal to fix the problem, I decided to flash the BIOS and EC firmware. The notebook is the GT70-2OD (1763) RAID, full color backlit keyboard, Windows 8 64-bit so these are the files I used to flash:
    BIOS - w8_E1763IMS.70E.zip - flashed with EFI_Boot process
EC firmware - w8_1763EMS1.505.zip - used winflash in Windows 8 - made sure i closed as many apps as I could beforehand.
Followed the flashing instructions to the letter. After each flash, disconnected the AC and removed the battery for no less than 5 minutes.
When I booted the notebook back up, I got the BSOD - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmd64.sys) when I tried to log in to Windows. At that point, had to go into safe mode and disable the Intel graphics driver. This allowed me to log in. I then tried updating the Intel graphics driver to the latest Win8-64 version. Still got the same BSOD at login.
With even more zeal, decided to rebuild to the factory Windows installation with the MSI recovery.  It pulls up the initial config screens in Windows, but still the same BSOD. Can't even get to safe mode now or get past the configuration screens. Safe mode isn't an option either. Windows throws an error that it cannot enter safe mode because setup has not completed. So much for zeal.
    Just looking for some suggestions.
Is there a way to roll back the EC and BIOS? If I can, and if it's even advisable at this point, where would I find the older versions? The product and download sites only list the most recent.
Thanks for any help on this.

I haven't tried any different drivers other than the ones I mentioned in my post. I will try a fresh install of the OS and go from there. Ran the memtest86+ util for three passes and the memory looks good. Unfortunately, I didn't record what versions of the previous EC and BIOS.
I will post the results of the fresh OS install soon.
    Thanks
    George

  • Adding mSATA/mSSd to a MSI GT70 2OD-407US

    Hi,
I'm a new owner of an MSI GT70 (wife finally let me buy one). I'm not at all new to modding computers of varies calipers. I honestly haven't been in the game in 3 years and coming back up the ladder because the technology has changed. I've kinda been in a geeks purgatory(married and in the ARMY), so life's been really busy for me and has not allowed me to keep up with current tech.
My Question. Modding my GT70 2OD-497US:
MAXing RAM to 16GBs, Easy. that's a no brainer.
where I need help is adding mSata/mSSD to my MSI to use it as a boot drive for the Window 7 Home Premium it comes with.. Thinking about add 128/256GB as boot and recovery as well as other important files and using the 1 TB 7200RPM HDD as pure storage to run programs, videos, movies, and music off of. (I'm not a big gamer)
I have not received my MSI yet and won't touch it for another month or so. I have plenty of time to figure it out. This question been raking my brain for a week, so that's why I'm post for some help.
Any information no matter if you're "talking above my head or not" is highly appreciative. If I think I don't know what you're talking about I will ask questions and do tons of research.. I used to be at the top of the GEEK food chain, but starting at the bottom now. I don't mind admitting that. The Army and marriage takes a lot of my time.
Add-on to message: I do not know if the GT70 2OD-407US comes with the msata slot board, it should, but can't seem to verify. If not I can buy one.

So lets back this up with a number of facts.
I can't find any information about the GT70 2OD-497US so....
Does the notebook come with an SSD?
If it does, then you will have the "Super Raid" adapter that lets you put mSATA drives into the laptop.
If it does NOT, then you will NOT have the "Super Raid" adapter, and you will not be able to put mSATA drives into the laptop.....without attaining a Super Raid adapter. This is difficult. MSI will NOT sell them. If you are LUCKY, you might be able to talk to a distributor or company that offers customized MSI notebooks into selling you just the adapter, but I'm not sure they will. If they will not, you're pretty much SoL. Supposedly there was a chinese company selling the adapters, but I don't recall the name or if they still are.
In all honesty, if you don't have the adapter, I would just order a regular 2.5" SSD drive instead and live with it.
A couple of other things I can suggest.
Get at a minimum a 240/256GB SSD. You'll find that after installing Windows and such you only have roughly 75 gigs maybe left on your 128GB SSD. And I just don't think that's enough. The 240/256GB drives are cheap enough now that you shouldn't have any problems getting it.
When you partition your SSD, only partition it for about 85% of the total space (so 85% of 256GB = 215 GB). Leave the rest of it unpartitioned. This is called over-provisioning, and will help to maintain the overall speed of the SSD (read/write speed) during the entire life of the SSD. The reason it does this is because it provides more space for TRIM to work, even if you completely fill the partition you created. If you had fully partitioned the drive, and almost filled it, the speed would start to deteriorate because there isn't enough 'space' to do TRIM anymore and it has to work harder to do it, causing your overall read/write speed to decrease. This is especially bad on Samsung drives.  (for more information, go search around on www.anandtech.com, plenty of good information and benchmarks to backup my statements)
Other than those tips, you should be good to go.....BUT!
The VERY FIRST THING YOU DO AFTER LOGGING INTO YOUR NEW NOTEBOOK? Please please please create the backup DVD's! MSI does not provide backup media inside the box. You need to make these on your own using the included MSI Burn Recovery software.

  • Italian keyboard doesn't work under the gui

I have an italian keyboard on a x86 Solaris 10 installation.
All the patch available using Sun Update applied but the keyboard doesn't work, it still works only as a USA keyboard.
Forcing it as a Italian layout at startup (pressing esc and using the boot utility) make the keyboard work in the consolle with the correct layout but under the gui, after the dtlogin startup, the key doesn't work correctly. Every key is "shifted" of one position, so inserting "root" result in "eiir"
Even applyng the 118966-08 patch as suggested doesn't work.
Obiouvsly I used the gnome panel to set the correct keyboard under gnome but with no result
Both the two type of italian keyboards don't work, the standard one and the 104 "ibm" italian layout.
All this keyboards work fine on the same PC with both WindowsXP and Linux Ubuntu.
Any suggestion to fix this ?

The solution was to reconfigure the X-Server: In a console-window I called kdmconfig and corrected the keyboard settings: it was a US-Keyboard. Nobody knows ... At installation time I configured a german keyboard.
A remaining problem is that my mouse and keyboard are connected via USB and they are frozzen after boot. First when I physicaly detach both and reconnect them they start working in an ordinary manner. I saw a forum entry which talked about BIOS-settings.

  • GT70 2OD downloads bios driver firmware

    i have GT70 2OD-019US
i tried to update my graphic card driver from  http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT70-2OD.html#download
it didnt work it said not compatiable
im using latest beta driver from nvidia webiste
you guys have right stuff on the website
there is so much variation i didnt see GT70 2OD-019US link so i guess i could use downloads from GT70 20D
    maybe im wrong
download was hard to find and stuff not working
    support sucks

im confused just as you are.
I like to keep my stuff updated to the latest so i went to nvidia website
download the driver for geforce gtx 780m
i tried to install the driver but it wont let me install cuz it's not compatible with my card
so i went to the link above download the oem graphic card driver which im not too clear it's right one for my laptop
cuz it's doesn't say gtx 780 it says something like nvidia n14 chipset i have no idea what it mean
i installed it cuz that's all i can find for my laptop. it let me install but my geforce card doesn't work
my laptop switch over to intel graphic card and my nvidia card has red x on it under device tree
fortunately i found the latest beta nvidia work on my laptop otherwise i could ended up with non working video card
    the title
all the downloads im not sure they are right stuff for my laptop
i updated bios, firmware, and some of the driver
they are working so far i haven't found any problem with them
the graphic card driver make me think that maybe the stuff i updated might not be right for my laptop
im confused with many gt 70 series
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win8-win7-64bit-326.80-beta-driver.html
    Try that driver.
The problem with the 320.49 'release' drivers is that they don't include the proper information to work with the newer GTX7XXM video cards on MSI laptops. You need to download the latest beta drivers, as they have the proper information to work. The next release, whatever that might be, should work just fine then.
As far as the other drivers...
    http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT70-2OC.html#download
should have all the drivers you need. You can try going to the individual manufacturer website to update them too, such as Intel for the Intel iGPU.

  • WIFI Static IP and Italian Keyboard

With the last update my Lumia 920 has now support for static IP in WIFI settings (I needed it). The problem is that, if the keybard was set to italian, while typing the IP Adress, subnet mask, ... in this static IP WIFI settings, I have only numbers and the comma (,) instead of numbers and the dot (.) character, so I cannot type correctly an Ip address. The only way to fix it, is to open another application (like email client) start typing something and change the keyboard to ENG. After that if I come back to static IP setting I have numbers and dot character.
Is there something to change the settings of this "number only" keyboard when italian keyboard is set (I cannot change the language keyboard from the "number only" keyboard, I have to switch to another application)?
    Thanks

I believe his problem is due to regional settings that makes his (dot) switch to a comma in italian
but as of static wifi IP i know it's better to assign ip at router level but we are not admins of our copmpany's IT department
they set it up that way and we must use it ot leave it
I belive the setting is available on some lumias like 920 and 1520  and 620 but others are missing on it
    i have no idea why
and io hope a nokia employee can answer this question

  • After Effects US Shortcuts on italian keyboard

Hello to evryone! I'm here with a question about keyboards shortcuts. As the main title, i'm running AE in english on an italian keyboard. I've tried everything, changing the shortcut file in Roaming folder and i've used KeyedUp script. Nothing seems to work. The shortcuts that i change doesn't work. The problem is with the tilde key, [,],Alt + [ and Alt + ], all the special signs. The only way to make them work is continuously change the system langauge. I've follow any guide on the net, for other people, German, Spanish etc it seems to work. For me nothing works! Is there a way to know how i can change my keyboard shortcuts with this configuration?
    Thank you!
    Roberto

Hey, I figured out my mistake. I wrote "CTRL" all in letter upper-case, I had to write it that way "Ctrl+1".
Now it's working, maybe that helps someone else in the future.

    Hi
i've bought a toshiba Satellite C850-1cp and i had some problem (i dropped some coffee on the keyboard)
so i brought the mobile to the tech support and i decided to change the native keyboard (EN) with an italian keyboard and now i have problem with the usb port: any mouse, or others usb device are not recognized.
A friend of mine told me to restore win 8 unsuccessufully because the function keys don't work....
    Please help me

In the past Ive changed keyboard several times and everything went well.
Have you used 100% compatible keyboard?
Ok maybe you should install original recovery image after keyboard replacement. To start recovery image installation you don't need function keys.
If you use Win8 make complete shutdown as described on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm and after doing this restart your notebook and use F12.
    Please post some feedback.
