GT70 Default Graphics Driver

Hello!
I've been having issues with the performance of my new GT70 when running games. It's so poor that the out-dated hardware I had intended to replace with the GT70 outperforms the games.
I was wondering if it would be anything to do with the fact that DXDIAG reports my driver to be "Intel HD Graphics 4000", even though my "Power Plan" is set to "Maximum Performance".
Please forgive me if this is a basic misunderstanding on my part but I'm fairly new to the world of gaming-level machines.

because the dedicated card is activated only when its need,
for regular task its disabled to save power.
when you are in games and 3D power is need then dedicated card will be enabled and is in use.
also you can choose and define the application which you want to use the dedicated card,

Have you added/selected the games to run on Nvidia GPU in Nvidia control panel?

  • Using OS X Default Graphic Driver because the Nvidia Web Driver is not compatible...so?

Despite the Nvidia Quadro FX 5600 driver is available for OS X 10.10.2 in the Nvidia Web Site, you can not install it because the OS X 10.10.2 in the computer does not recognize this new Nvidia driver from Nvidia Web Site

The default driver in OS X is also from nVidia.
Does this help? (see the .plist setting near bottom):

  • Surface Pro 2 Graphics driver stops apps running

    Hi,
We are having trouble with a Surface 2 Pro with Windows 8.1. Apps such as onenote, facebook and several others do not load past the splash screen(they appear open when swiping in from left).
The resolution of the tile screen appears to be lower than it should be, but all settings indicate a 1920x1080 resolution.
Disabling the graphics card fixes the problem, but causes several other undesirables. Rolling back the driver fixes the problem, but the default driver is insignificant and after every reboot/auto-update the apps stop working again. I have downloaded the
updates and service packs and manually installed the graphics driver, but the apps start to fail as soon as the graphics driver updates.
When the driver is disabled/roll backed more tiles appear on the home screen, even though the resolution is lower.
Does anyone know how i can upgrade the driver, without losing app functionality?
    Regards
    Chris

    Hi,
I have ran all updates and it says its fully updates, and I attempted to manually install device driver 10.18.10.3345,
which I downloaded from the intel site but it was 'not accredited for the platform'.
Its the 128GB version. The problem only started after upgrading to 8.1. I'll post the event logs asap.
    Thanks

  • How do I get firefox to display images clearly? I've got Windows 2000 Pro and Firefox 3.6.6. Internet Explorer shows images clearly, so I'm sure I have the correct graphics driver. Do I need a plugin or add-on of some sort? When I go to "updates", it

When I use Firefox the images and logos don't show up clearly/correctly. I'm using Windows 2000 Pro. and just installed Firefox 3.6.6. I'm sure I have the right graphics driver as I'm able to see the images and logos clearly in Internet Explorer. I only have the "default plugin 1.0.0.15" installed. I'm thinking that I'm missing a plugin or add-on of some sort, but I'm not sure which one(s). When I go to "updates" it says there were no updates available. When I go to "Add-ons" it gives a list of Add-ons but I'm not sure which would help my issue. Any help would be appreciated.:)

  • GT70 2OLWS graphics issues.

I'm having some issues with my workstation and I'm about to toss it to the side and find something else. Hopefully you guys can help me as MSI support has been useless in solving the issues.
I was in need of a laptop to run Solidworks on for work so I bought a GT70 2OLWS-1614US around the first of September. It worked fine for the first few weeks with just general use (no solidworks). I installed solidworks and started using it for work and it started to act up. It would randomly shut down or reboot. Then it started with the BSOD. I contacted MSI support and they had me reconfigure it to factory specs (reboot holding F3). Still had the same issues so they issued an RMA and I sent it in. At this point, no big deal, all electronics can have issues and I felt it would get taken care of. 4 weeks later, I get my laptop back. They replaced the RAM and reinstalled the OS. Start the computer up and immediately get a notice stating a genuine copy of windows was not installed. It wanted me to buy a new license. I called MSI and they again had me reconfigure to factory specs. At this point I'm really not impressed. Did they bother to turn the laptop on after "fixing" it? While the solution to the problem was quick and easy, I would expect to get it back ready to use.
I installed Solidworks and started to work. It worked great for a few days. Then started acting up again. Now I am getting various errors related to the GPU. I've contacted MSI support through their website as well as calling and they just tell me to try reconfiguring it to factory specs, or send it in to them again for another month.
After reconfiguring the computer to factory specs (reboot holding F3) the computer will work fine for a while. Sometimes 6 hours, sometimes 2 days, before it throws the error. When the error occurs Solidworks crashes. I then have to reboot the computer and I can then work for a short amount of time 15-20 minutes before it will crash again. Each time it crashes it seems to crash quicker the next time. Rinse and repeat. I've attached the error I've been getting. Needless to say I can't actually get any work done with this computer.
The assemblies in Solidworks are not large files. They do not have that many parts. So I don't believe for a second that I'm asking too much of this computer. And if I am I simply have the wrong computer.  I can open this same file on a different computer that's about 6 years old and it works fine. No errors with the GPU. Which leads me to believe its an issue with this laptop.
    Thanks in advance!

This error won't be fixed by F3 recovery for sure.
Check the VBIOS version in the NVIDIA control panel and if it's not 80.04.E8.00.2C, update your VBIOS and try to run the 3DMark 11 and see if the problem remains.

  • Satellite Pro L300 -software-service says I need update for graphics driver

I downloaded the DesignByMe software from http://designbyme.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx
The installation run without problems, but when I want to start the program it restarts over and over again. The picture doesnt load fully, instead there are black spots. I cant click on anything nor close to programm .I thought maybe the installing process didnot finish properly so I downloaded the software again but the problem is still the same. Im using a new Satellite Pro L300 28w with Windows 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3.6
I contacted the lego support and they answered: "You most likely need to update your graphics driver. Please contact your computer manufacturers customer service or website for a free upgrade"
Is this likely and if so which upgrad edo I need?

    Hi
I dont know if updating your display driver can solve this problem but if the manufacture of the software says that its worth a try!!! ;)
The update is pretty easy: Firstly download the latest version here:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers
If you have downloaded the latest version, remove the old one firstly. Check the software list in control panel and follow the screen instructions. I assume you have to make one restart and after this you can install the downloaded version.
    Good luck! :)

  • Black screen after the installation of the graphics driver

    Hello,
    - Recently I bought a 'GT 610' graphics card to replace the old broken one,
    - after the assembly one short beep was audible during system reboot (=OK),
    - a default windows graphics driver was installed by Windows Vista,
    - screen resolution manually set at native screen resolution (1280 x 1024),
    - (youtube movies as well as flash player worked fine),
    - the installation of the (most recent) nVidia driver went smoothly (the old driver on CD did not!),
    - after the nVidia driver installation the system restarted itself to activate the driver.
    So far so good.
    - Unfortunately after rebooting the screen got black and remained black,
    - no log-in screen, only the typical Windows start-up screen with the green progression bars was temporarily visible,
    - in safe mode I had to disable the nVidia driver to restart Windows in normal mode.
    - At this moment I can use my computer for desktop application like MS Office, email or internet browsing, not for video editing or gaming.
Question: How to enable the nVidia driver to use the graphics card's full capacity?
    Thanks.

    - Yes, the GT610 is a genuine MSI product bought in the local computer store.
    - I suppose my board (Vendor = Micro-Star International Co., Ltd --> also MSI) is an OEM product. I don't have any hard evidence, but on the internet I've found some independent threads claiming the MS-7318 is an OEM product indeed.
    - Both VGA cards (nVidia GeForce 6700XL/7650GS based) are Medion products. They have their own Medion drivers. Nevertheless in the past latest downloaded nVidia drivers seemed to work fine when installing them on these Medion PC's.
    - MS Windows XP SP2 on the provided recovery DVD is a Medion OEM product for sure.
    - My Computer model = Medion Akoya MD 8818
    - Test computer = Medion Akoya MD 8818 (same board, same PSU, same graphics card, same ...) --> But a few months ago, the original graphics card of this test PC also crashed and had to be replaced!! Weak cards these 7650GS. So, the 6700XL is a replacement for the original Medion GeForce 7650 GS in the test PC. Fortunately I could use the graphics card (6700XL) of a 1 year older Medion Akoya MD 8800 PC. This card works fine.

  • Graphics driver problem

I was having trouble with the GoPro Studio software and GoPro tech support said:
Currently, you run an Intel Q33 Express Chipset using driver version 8.15.10.1930 (dated 9/22/2009). Per Intel's recommendation, the latest version available for your graphics card is 15.12.75.4.64.1930 (dated 10/02/2009).
I tried installing the driver update from Intel, but I keep getting a "failed" message.
    Intel said:
I would like to inform you that the system is not able to update the driver since it looks like it already has the latest version available installed. I would recommend you to check with HP if they have a newer driver for this chipset or you may also check if you are using the latest BIOS version.

  • Graphics driver not working good on Satellite 1410-304

    Hi there,
I have installed latest Graphic card driver on my TS S1410-304 (latest auto-actualization can find anyway...) and about 1,5cm of the right side of the screen disappeared. I mean that computer thinks that they are not there, even if I set screen resolution at 1024x768 (969x768 being default), it behaves like I have set it on wider resolution than monitor has and scrolls to that invisible corner. GC is GeForce 4 420 Go. Does anyone know how to fix that?

    Hi
From where did you download the graphic driver and what graphic driver did you use???
You should use the Toshiba graphic drivers. These drivers are designed especially for the notebook usage and other graphic drivers for example from the graphic card manufacture are designed for usage on the desktop PCs.
Therefore follow the link suggested above and install the driver from the Toshiba page.

  • MSI 180 - Graphic driver problems

    Hi folks,
after cooling down my Mega 180 from 48 degree to 34 degree start-up-termperature  (heatsink lapping, turn fans around, build in a fresh air duct for cpu fan) my system is running very stable - what a great lap forward after days full of frustration. Thanks to live update I have the newest bios (rev. 3.5) and drivers for my hardware installed. But I'm still facing some smaller problems, maybe is this forum I can find a hint how to handle that:
    1.) TFT-drivers not accepted
I'm using a Hyunday Q17 TFT display and I never had any problems with my old system to identify this correctly. But with my MSI 180 XP installed 5 (!) default displays and will not accept the correct monitor driver I have. When I try to delete 4 of this 5 from the control panel XP re-installs them during the next boot-process. My question is: why 5 displays and why just default displays??
2.) Flickering and coloured stripes after booting
Sometimes, when Windows is alreday started, the display changes from the "Welcome"-Screen to some colourfull stripes and seems to be frozen. After hibernating and re-starting everything is o.k.again. Diver bug ?
    3.) Black screen
When entering the windows desktop, the screens turn black for 1-2- seconds, then again it show the desktop, then again 1-2 seconds black. It looks like the driver tries out various video modes. But I don't know why ???
Conclusion is, that there seems to be a bug in my graphics driver. I tried to load the newest once via Live Update, then again directly from Nvidia website, but nothing changed. Any ideas about that ???
Any hints for me ?? Thankx in advance
    Flo

Thank you for your reply. I think, i should try to describe my problem more clearer :o)
I'll check later, when I'm back home, in Nvidia driver are installed properly. I just checked, if there is a question mark somewhere in system control panel resource overview.  But everything looks fine.
The flickering is a little bit more tricky: When starting the PC instead of my windows desktop a colorfull page of thousands of colourfull stripes appears and flickers like a rainbow. Windows is definitively running, I can can use all keyboard short cuts e.g.. It is not the type of flickering when running under low frequency. Maybe this, comnined with 2 seconds black display, is part of the famous "black display" issue.
My last machine was able to identify my TFT correctly as a Hyundai Q17. But at that machine it was connected by DVI, not the analog connection. Maybe that is my problem. I'm still looking for a small graphics adapter with digital out (nothing special, I'm really happy with the onboard graphic controller, I'm not a gamer), I'm afraid my old fullsize FX5200 might be too large for the Mega.

  • Window 10 upgrade. Graphics driver not working even after re-install

Notebook pavilion DV6 3280.  Just upgraded to Windows 10 and AMD graphics driver not working even after re-install.  What do I do?  Is there another driver not on the HP Website that I should try?

    Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

  • Brushes panel causes graphics driver to fail to load

If I have the brushes panel open when I launch Photoshop openGL acceleration will fail to load, even with default brushes. Everything else the same, but with the brushes panel hidden it will load as normal.
My video card is a Nvidia 550 ti

I think maybe the subject of my thread is poorly worded. My graphics driver is fine in all cases. The only problem I'm having is that openGL acceleration, within Photoshop alone, fails to load if the brushes panel is visible when Photoshop starts up. I don't see how this could possibly be the fault of the driver. But what do I know?
I have zero other graphics driver issues whatsoever on my system and it befuddles me that Nvidia would be responsible for an edge-case issue that occurs within your software and your software alone.
It would be awesome if Adobe staff just thanked me for reporting the bug and looked into it rather than point a finger.

  • 'No AMD graphics driver is installed..'

Hi, I've recently been receiving this message 'No amd graphics driver installed or is not functioning properly. Please install the amd driver appropiate for your amd software' on my pavilion dv6 and I'm not sure why? When I look in the Device Manager under Display adapters there are 2 graphics cards showing - AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series (which has the following device status 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)' which I assume is where the problem lies and the other one is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series which has the device status 'No drivers are installed for this device.' I have tried disabling each one and looking for updates but nothing seems to work. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 but the issue was there before the upgrade. Any help would be much appreciated!

Then you should not do it by yourself, find a friend who knows what the BIOS is and how to reset it to its default settings and request him/her to help you

  • MSI Z77a-G45 graphics driver issue.

    02-june-2013
    MSI Z77a-G45 graphics driver issue.
Trying to install the graphics drivers for this board from the MSI site, I but every time I do so on loading windows 7 my monitor just goes to sleep and I have to roll back the driver in safe mode. This is the same for the driver found in the windows 7 updates.
Iv downloaded the files a few times over and reinstalled windows twice and the problem remains. Can anyone suggest anything? Is there something I’m missing or need to set in the UEFI bios for using the onboard graphics?
    MSI Z77A-G45, i5-3570K, 2x 8GB Corsair memory, Windows 7 64bit.
    Thanks.

    My BIOS is E7752IMS V2.10
    Iv already downloaded  V2.A
However  I have to say the guide at uk.msi.com/service/biosupdate/ , appears to be putting v2.2 on top of v2.2.
it also says "Download the BIOS that matches your motherboard and version number to your USB device."
I'm not entirely sure what is meant by 'version number' but it dose suggest i need to download V2.10 not V2.A ... call me picky but i want to be sure! lol.
Can anyone confirm ether way? It dose seam rather odd!
    Thanks.
    **edit
    Update on my graphics issue
With the default driver, just before the windows 7 log in screen appears. I was getting a portion of it appear first on the bottom 1/8 of the screen. Now its appears to be a snowstorm of bad graphics and its the same when I switched to using HDMI instead.
Not sure if that's a good sign!
For reff my screen is a HP LP2475w tho I'm rather sure there is nawt wrong with the screen.

  • ThinkPad 8 - Intel HD Graphics driver update ?

The only video driver provided is http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/gtha02ww.txt version 10.18.10.3408 by Jan 2014. Intel offers generic driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+for+Intel%C2%AE+Atom%E2%84%A2+Processor+Z3700+Series version 10.18.10.4176 but the installation fails with error message that the device uses a customized OEM driver and can not be updated. Is there any Lenovo updated driver ? I got few BSODs GRAPHICS_DRIVER_TDR_TIMEOUT recently related to the driver.

It looks like Intel released a new update (4226) just a couple of days ago, I took a look at the igdlh.inf changes and it looks to be very close to the Lenovo configuration, so I'm giving it a try with good success so far. No stability issues and power consumption might be just a tiny bit improved (.1W or so less?) Differences appear to be:- New TiledDisplay internal setting, enabled by default- TrayIcon enabled by default (easily turned off)- Diagnostics tab disabled in igfxcui (non-issue)- Additional game workarounds for Halo2, etc. Halo on the TP8!? :-) Use device manager to install just the igdlh.inf in the Graphics\ directory of the Intel zip, no need for the other stuff. 64-bit: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/24973/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit?httpDown=http%3A%2F%2Fdownloadmirror.intel.com%2F24973%2Fa08%2Fwin64_153336.zip 32-bit: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/24972/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-32-bit?httpDown=http%3A%2F%2Fdownloadmirror.intel.com%2F24972%2Fa08%2Fwin32_153336.zip
