GT70 Turn off Display LED Backlight

Does anyone know how to turn off the DISPLAY LED Backlight when using an external monitor on a GT70 running 64bit windows 8?

You mean display all only on external?
Just righclick desktop and go to resolution setting. Set screen output only on external. You can do it in Intel graphic card settings too.
You can use Fn button on keyboard too. If i good rember FN + F2(just check images on buttons).
If you want to have 2 monitors but from some reasons you want to turn of screen on build in for some moment there is button to do next to power button 0 right side.

    Set up Simple Finder
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Parental Controls.Open Parental Controls preferences
Click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password.
Select a user in the list of users, then click Apps.
    Select Use Simple Finder.
In the Allowed Apps list, select apps the user can open.
Select a category, then click the arrow to list the apps in the category. Select the checkbox to allow access to the app.
To search for an app, enter its name in the search field.
To turn on Simple Finder, you may have to restart the Mac.

  • How can I turn off the LED light? It's constantly on.

If anyone can give me some help, that would be tremendous. How can I turn off the LED light as it's contstantly turned on???

If a reset does not work, then the next steps in user troubleshooting are restore from a backup and if that doesn't work, then restore as a new device. If that doesn't work, then you can make an appointment to take the device to the Apple store and have the hardware checked.
If you live close to an Apple store, you could go there first, but they will probably ask if you have done a restore and would do one there, so make sure you have backed up and synced all of your data.

  • Keyboard shortcut to turn off display

I just bought BT keyboard. Could you please advise, what is the shortcut to turn off display? there is no break button on it. I suppose, there should be some alternative.

Try Shift+control and the Eject key in the upper right of your keyboard.

  • Turn off notification LED

So, I've been a crackberry user for years, until now. In the pas I was able to easily turn on and off, and set notification types via profiles. I've been able to figure out how to ensure the Droid does not vibrate or make noise when I recieve messages, but does anyone know how to shut off the notification LED? This is a pretty annoying flash at 3:00 am

I apologize, but you can not turn off the LED from the settings menu on the phone.
There are applications like  hancent, missed call, and gmail notifier on the Android Market that will allow you to change the LED notification color.   These are Android applications offered on the Android Market and are  not Verizon Wireless applications.   You can try turning the phone facedown to suppress the LED light.

  • Msi p45 platinum - freezes after power save turns off displays

Just put this computer together, everything is stock, no overclocking. Seems to run fine, played a few hours of modern warfare 2 with no issues.
I noticed It seems to freeze after the monitor gets turned off by the power save mode. I just tested this by setting it to turn off displays after 1 minute of inactivity, waited watched the monitor turn off, then I went to the move the mouse and the screen came back on but the cursor would not move. sometimes the screen will not even come back on.
I have turned the computer on, left the room while it was booting to eat breakfast or take a shower, came back the screen was still on but the computer was frozen. Window 7 login screen was up, but there were some graphic glitches. this has happened a couple of times.
If I manually put the computer to sleep it seems to come back properly.
msi p45 platinum 1.6 bios, optimized defaults loaded

    nvidia gtx 260 (195.63 drivers x64)
    win7 ultimate x64
    enermax 720w powersupply

I think it might be the video card or power supply. Was building two systems,
second system has identical motherboard, processor and ram,
galaxy gts 250 instead of the evga gtx 260.
antec 430 earthwatts  instead of Enermax EIN720AWT 720W Power Supply
Installed from same OS disc and same set of drivers. Second system seems to operate the powersave mode for the monitor correctly. Will have to do some testing switching videocards tonight.

  • Turning off display in Mavericks

I have a retina MBP. I am used to hitting shift-control-power to *just* turn the display off and lock the computer -- *without* putting it to sleep -- when I leave my desk.
This still works in Mavericks 10.9, but it creates an annoying pop sound (Mac error sound effect) which never used to happen in 10.8 and previous versions.
I'm told that just hitting the power key for a second now does the same thing, but in my experience it doesn't. It sleeps the computer rather than just shutting off the display. I want the computer to still operate on the network and on full power.
Does anyone have a new key combination that just turns off the display but doesn't pop or beep?
I know I can dim the display brightness but (1) this doesn't turn off the pixels, just the backlight, and that's not what I'm looking for, and (2) this takes too long versus just a single action like shift-control-power.
    Thanks.

    Hi Fred,
I also organise by year, month, day/shoot. Within the day/shoot, everything is logically organised with RAW automatically downloaded into its own subfolder using DownloaderPro. I use Pixort to further split the RAW images into 4 subfolders depending on whether I want to work on the image immediately, later, or never. Developed images then go into the parent day/shoot folder for easy viewing. It sounds a bit complicated but everything is in the context of one shoot. I can very quickly identify and work with the high-payback images. I can very easily find and view the developed images using fast and simple tools like the file browser or FastStone.
Now LR is proving to be very useful at converting my RAW images, I'm impressed enough to invest some more time exploring it. But I've learned not to rely longer or even medium term on any one vendor or piece of software. And I'm certainly not going to change a proven approach simply because of an inflexible tool!
So come on Adobe, this can't be that difficult. How about adding the option so we can choose whether or not to view subfolder contents.
    Cheers,
    Mark

  • Phone turns off and led light blinks wont turn back on

I have the 8100 and have had it for about 2 weeks I bought it off line since my old phone broke. This morning I took it off my charger and went to a meeting after the meeting I looked at my phone and the led light was blinking I hit a button and nothing happened. I then tried to turn the phone back on but nothing happened. I removed the battery waited 5 minutes then put it back in and it started to work again. But again the same thing happened. I tried this multiple times but nothing change it still went back after a few minutes. I took the battery out sim card and memory card out for an hour then put them back in and the same thing happened. Has anyone had this happen before and is there anything I can do for it. Again after I turn my phone on it "shuts off" the led light blinks like I have a message but I ca not do anything the only way to get it out of this is to remove the battery and put it back in but it reverts back to this in a few minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.
    Download Desktop Manager from here:

  • Turn off display mirroring once and for all ?

    Hi there,
I have a 13'' macbook pro, recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. Now every time I connect my external screen (a DELL E198WFP connected with the DVI output) the display starts in "mirroring" mode. I have to manually turn mirroring off every time. According to the documentation, MacOS is supposed to "remember" my settings the next time I connect the screen but it doesn't work. Previously I had a Macbook Air with Leopard and I had not this issue (the screen would start with mirroring turned off when I connect it). Is there any possibility to disable mirroring once and for all, as I never use this feature ? Thanks

Ok since you upgraded your system you might have a issue with your preference files for the displays. you need to Delete these two files reboot and Zap your PRAM. (Print this out)
    #1. Delete these files:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver and ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver"
    #2. Turn off Computer
    #3. Reset your PRAM by:
    (From Apples instruction page)
    Resetting PRAM and NVRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Turning off display

Is there a way to turn off the iBook display when my external VGA monitor is hooked up?

NO. The External Monitor only mirrors the display and when you turn of the iBook out goes the External (that is one reason why you can't close the lid on an iBook when using the External.... other than heat build up -- if the iBook lid is closed it sleeps and so does the External.
    GOD Bless and Good Luck

  • Using Windows won't turn off display

When I am using Windows on my MacBook, I have set my Windows power options to turn off the monitor after 1 minute of not being used. The display never turns off. Is this a Windows or a MacBook problem? I tried setting it to 5mins, 10mins... Nothing works. I don't want to have my display on when I leave my desk.

IIRC, there are power management issues with running Windows on the MacBooks. Could be wrong, but I think I recall hearing this.
This would be up to Apple to fix via driver updates if it is indeed the case.

  • Turn off display

How do I turn off the main display when using external monitor or tv, or can you?
    Thanks
    Arthur

The way to turn the display off is by closing the lid on the MB. Here is a link to an Apple article on the topic:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86286
Notice the article mentions using an external keyboard or mouse. But that isn't absolutely necessary. For example, I often close the lid and then wake up the computer using a USB flash memory device. Then I can open the lid and use the built-in keyboard and trackpad and the internal display remains off.
