GT70 w/ 670mx latest drivers slow. please help
Hello,
I just recently got a GT70 with a 670mx in it. I changed the OS to windows 7 from windows 8.
My issue is that with the drivers from MSI's site that date back to Jan. most games run fine but after a bit Ill get a big FPS drop and the audio will start looping and the game will crash and the nvidia toolbar will pop up saying the driver crashed. I have tried reinstalling it and all and it still does that. I want to run the latest drivers which on the geforce website say support the 670mx 314.22 i believe. But with those installed cames will run and start lagging big time like its throttling. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times and it still does the same issues with both. I received the laptop no more than a couple weeks ago and I would think it would have the latest windows 8 bios. Which I read it needs to stay with the windows 8 bios.
Any thoughts or advice? oh and running the MSI burn in test and all the GPU stays around 60.
When you're updating your drivers are you removing the old ones first?
When I update the drivers on my system I first go to add/remove programs and remove the physix software and then the main drivers, once thats done I reboot the system and run a program called Driver Fusion, its use to be called driver sweeper, have it search for Nvidia Graphics and Nvidia Physx, let it remove all the traces and then reboot, once back to the desktop go to geforce.com and get the latest drivers, once in the install do a custom install and hit the box to perform a clean install, even though it doesn't say to, reboot the system once more and al should be fine after that.
When I don't do this process I have the problem of games running slower, game crashes, random lock ups, just a living hell long story short.

PS install Geforce Experience, you may like it, it changes the configuration on games to auto set the settings to your machine.
PPS, I also recommend going to Intel and updating your other drivers while the nVidia drivers are not installed so it will help nVidia Optimus work better. I also recommend you use there Driver Update Utility, it doesn't install anything on your system its just a java web app that looks at your system and then gives you a list of download links to update everything Intel in your system.

Some basic printer troubleshooting steps before worrying about a printer driver:
1. Have you tried turning the printer off and back on?
2A. Is the printer attached with a cable?
If yes, have you tried unplugging and re-plugging both ends of the printer cable?
If that does not help, can you test the printer with another cable?
2B. If your printer is not connected to the computer with a cable, have you tried restarting your printer (assuming wireless connection)?
Have you tried restarting your wireless router?
3. Have you tried restarting your MacBook? (Be sure to save your work first.)
4. Does the printer have ink? (Doesn't usually generate a 'communications error' though)
5. Have you updated OS X or the program you're trying to print from recently? -

If you are not using TeamViewer, remove it also. If you had it running while you ran Etrecheck, then it doesn't need to be removed.

Since I have Yosemite on my iMac I can't view PDF files in Safari anymore. It keeps telling me to upgrade my Adobe Reader, but it is the latest version. Please help? I don't have this problem on my Macbook that does not have Yosemite installed.
Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:

If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari. -

GT70 Dragon Edition SO MANY Problems Please Help!!!

I spent $4000 on this computer so atm im pissed.
Ive had to wipe my computer a toltal of 15 times so far.
I don't know if its hardware or due to faulty OS that msi gave me ( I have 4 disc from msi for os install which fails half the time when doing the reinstall.)

Live update is not for MSI notebook, so it's quiet obvious that you'll have problems.

MacBook Pro 13" Suddenly Started Running Super Slow, please help!
Yesterday I was on the computer on Facebook, then I spilled a juice over the keyboard. I turned it off and let it sit there, then I turned it on and it took about 3 minutes to show the Log in screen, then I logged in and it was taking long to load the stuff in my desktop and it was being really slow for everything.

I have updated my ios to the latest version via my desktop, at the end of the process, i am advised to restore my iphone 4s which i do so. After following the steps process, it gives me unknown error 2003 andicant use my phone anymore. I have tried to troubleshootbut to no avail. The same unknown error 2003 appears. Please help me.

G5 now extremely slow - please help
I have a 3 year old IMAC G5 PowerPC that up until 2 weeks ago ran like a charm. It's now slow to a crawl during any sort of tasks. There was nothing installed or upgraded to this computer that could have caused this. So far this is what I have done to try to correct this problem ... not much but a few things. I ran SMART UTILITY .. and my HD failed the test so I thought for sure this was the culprit. Went out the next day and baught a new 500Gb drive, installed FRESH copy of TIGER on it and prayed. There was no change in speed whatsoever .. it actually seemed even slower than before. The only thing left that I can think of is possibly bad ram or worse a motherboard issue ... but woudnt the computer simly not boot up or give me errors if this was the case?
Please help .. I cant afford to take it to the APPLE store, hoping anyone have any suggestions or think they know what could be the problem here. I payed like $2000 for this 3 years ago and hate to have to throw it on the curb for garbage pickup.I do not know how to test my ram .. what I was going to do was ask around and test it with someone else's ram .. is there a way to check it beacuse I don't know?
The hardrive did show bad sectors but I installed a new one, tested it - all fine but that didnt help the crawl. Also do not know what your asking me or heard of that CD that tests hardware , where would I find this? -
Apple TV Extremely Slow - Please Help
I just received an Apple TV for Christmas and this is my first Apple product that I have ever been disappointed with. It's EXTREMELY SLOW! I am using it wirelessly through my Time Capsule and I have a pretty fast DSL connection. I also have a Roku box and a BluRay DVD player that has internet services as well like VuDu and NetFlix. Movies start almost instantly on all of my devices and play flawlessly except the Apple TV. Movies on Apple TV take about 5 to 8 minutes to start versus only just a few seconds on my Roku box and instantly using VuDu. Is this normal or do I have a defective unit?

I own a iMac with 802.11 N WiFi With Airport Extreme I also use an iPhone 3GS WiFi G and have recently Purchased an Apple TV I can never get my Apple TV to hit rate speed of 72 or higher. I have tried everything My iMac hits rate speeds of 270 sometimes Using 802.11 N while my apple TV only hit 72 at the highest even My iPhone 3GS hit speeds of 58 to 60 with WiFi G. I have noticed that even if I set up a separate Network using the 5Ghz of the Airport Extreme I get even lower speeds like down to 38 to 40 on my Apple TV I realy dont have a lot of problems downloading movies per say but there have been times were I have had to wait like 20 min just to watch a 720p video from youtube or Movie Trailer. I can go from my TV to my computer using the same network and get the movie downloaded a lot faster using my computer???? What is going on Apple???? I really enjoy Apple products but I have to say I am somewhat unsatisfied with the Apple TV....What am I doing wrong??? I have tried to move my Airport extreme right next to Apple TV and with no speakers or anything around and I never get higher that 72 or so I Want to know is my iMac Airport Extreme Just reading it wrong or What... Please Help Apple????

I recently bought my girlfriend an Ipod Touch 4g, so that she could listen to music and text me on IMessage do to lack of signal in her area. The iPod works half the time with sending and receiving texts in a timely manner, the other times she has to restart the iPod over and over to get ANY messages sent from me. There isn't any loss of signal on either device. I'm really confused at how to fix this issue. Please help.

Hi all,
I've purchased this ultrabook in Brazil, in September/13.
For the last few months it's been getting annoyingly slow, to the point that I'm getting really frustrated.
The main sympthoms are:
1) The computer gets really (really!) slow, particularly after returning from hibernation or sleep mode
2) Sometimes it freezes at the welcome screen; I use image based access security, where you have to click the same spot 3 times in order to login. After I do the 3 clicks it takes about 20 seconds to start processing the info.
3) The touchpad pointer freezes. The buttons usually still work, however the pointer itself stays frozen for up to a minute.
4) Programs get really slow and unresponsive. Initially I thought it was a problem with them, but after a while all of them started to show these problems!
5) The start menu gets really slow - If I want to look for a program or file by typing it's name at the start menu, it takes a long time for the characters to even show up at the search box and, when they do, it takes even longer for the program or file to show up below it.
I've tried a number of actions in order to solve this issue, but the problem seems to grow at a fast pace.
Here's what I've done so far:
1) Updated drivers (with the drivers available at this website!)
2) Installed all Windows updates available (I run Windows 8.1)
3) Made registry modifications - to increase speed at certain tasks
4) After action 1 didn't work, I downloaded a software called Driver Boost (from iobit), to update the drivers again.
5) Installed a ram booster software
6) Used CCleaner to clean up the registry files
7) Changed the priority and affinity settings of certain tasks (lowered the priority for non-important tasks and increased for the important ones) in order to be able to dedicate more of the i5 processor's energy to what I use most.
8) Made sure the computer is free of virus and spyware.
9) Changed the power settings to max performance.
Every time I make one of these changes the computer gets a little faster for a little while, but then it gets worse.
Please assist, I use this computer to work and this is really frustrating, specially since it's suposed to be an ULTRAbook.hi megllama
upgrading to ilife'06 might not be a bad idea but my question to you is what was the size of your hard drive before? you say that you have 11 gigs left. according to apple you require 20% of harddrive to be free to allow the system to work quickly and smoothly. do you clean all your caches and cookies? freeing up space is probably what you need. download 'onyx' a maintenance application. use it to clear out caches, cookies etc. lastly, provided that you can spare the expense a memory upgrade wouldn't hurt. more RAM is a big help. -
New broadband connection - very slow- please help

On 3rd of May (last Thur) I got my new phone and broadband installed. My broadband speed is soo slow that I have to buy internet dongle to get back onto proper internet.
I know about 10 days stabilization period- phoned to India couple of times and being told after 10 days I will get a better normal connection. I just dont belive that. Today is 8th day of 10days waiting and there is no changes at all! I need internet for my uni.

Have you tried connecting to the test socket at the rear of the master socket
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
