Gtalk Conversation

Hi friends,
i have a text area item "Progress", i need to display the contents in that text area item like the conversation manner as like in Gtalkmanner.
Suppose if the user enter's into the application means, in the Progress field automatically his name has to populate in a display only manner like the below
*PROGRESS* ---------->>text area name
*Mini:*----->(has to be like that defaultly when the user logs in)-->okay i can bring that using APP_USER.In that ill give the progress like
PROGRESS* ---------->>text area name
*Mini:* *The update is in progress and ill update you the same*ill type the above content like The update is in progress and ill update you the same near by my name, and soon after the submit it has to be 'grayed-out'
Soon after if the other user logged into the application ,say Patrick. he will be seeing that progress
PROGRESS* ---------->>text area name
*Mini:* *The update is in progress and ill update you the same*So, for the Patrick the above content has to be in 'grayed-out' manner and the PROGRESS text area has to show like below
PROGRESS* ---------->>text area name

*Patrick:*Like the above it has to show, Hence for the second user Patrick the APP_USER should not replace the above comment given by Mini, and the Second APP_USER name has to come under the first comment given by mini.
and Patrick will update the status like the below

*Mini:* *The update is in progress and ill update you the same*
*Patrick:* *I have received ur update and thanks*So like the above manner, it has to continue like a chain..
How i can able to achieve that kind of conversation with in APEX, as like implemented in Gtalk.
Whether it is possible to do so.

Hi,
iChat will video to other iChat users who are also using a GoogleTalk ID
It will not Video (or Audio) chat to the Web Site version in GoogleMail no matter what platform the person is on (It uses Flash, iChat does not).
It will not Video or Audio chat to PCs running the GoogleTalk app (Again different Video and Audio Codecs).
ICQ may be a difficult as getting iChat to Work with AIM on a PC

Is it possible to "pop-out" gtalk chats from the main Thunderbird window?

Looking for a feature to pop out conversations into mini-windows kinda like how MSN Messenger, and GTalk used to do.
Is this possible in Thunderbird?
I'm using the latest version and I've looked through all the options; I'm not seeing anything for pop-out chats.

Managing conversations with user on different accounts in Messages

I'm having trouble understanding how conversations work across different accounts in Messages. For example, my friend and I sent messages to each other via my Gtalk account earlier today, then a little while later I clicked on her name in the left nav of the Messages window and the earlier conversation was gone. It was only showing our last iMessage conversation via our iPhones. I went back to the Buddies window and double-clicked her name, but it still didn't bring up the earlier conversation. BTW, I didn't close the Messages window from our earlier Gtalk chat.
Would someone explain how conversations with the same person on different accounts works within Messages? I assumed it'd retain all conversations between that user's accounts within the same window.

Once you have a person in the "To" spot it should be linked to the Service (ID or Name) that you are talking to them on.
At the right hand of their Name is a small reveal arrow which makes it a drop down to Show other options (AIM, Jabber or Yahoo as well as iMessages)
It will depend on what is stored on their Address Card.

I have Messages open with 4 AIM valid Accounts logged in
From three of these I can call the one on this Address card (it's well known name that have been out there for a while)
Whilst you have to use the drop down and the Chat/Conversation can swap between the services the "History" should all be shown.
Example iMessage then AIM Chat
You Buddy can change their end and send you an iMessage and a New Chat should open up.
I.e. the Highlighted chat on the left is the one shown on the right and the "hi" opened the second item in the Chat list.
I am not sure why you appear to not keeping the "first" chat open or seeing a second in the list.
Having said I am having both ends of the conversation and your Buddy may be able to silently change the Service.
However you should still have the "History".
To See older Messages (or Chats) you have to be saving them.
At the moment I am not sure this is relevant though.

Gtalk and Skype issues

I have already created a skype and gtalk account on my device but when ever i try to use any 1 of them or just tap on New Im option under Conversation it says" Availability must be online to perform this action". is this a bug or am i missing something.

Well yes, since both are IP based applications you have to be "online" with a tcp/ip,sip protocol running. This does not mean that you have to be online via WiFi - if you have a compatible dataplan from a carrier that allows the protocols you can do skype/gtalk calls via gsm or 3G.

GTalk - Where can I view online buddies?

Any other phone I've had with integrated GTalk IM has had a separate app that shows a list of my IM buddies per account. This allows me to see who is online an who is not.

Conversion of Characteristic Values to SIDs is taking long time

Hi Experts,
Cube load is taking more than 7 hrs to complete for 6 million records. Max time is at Conversion of Characteristic Values to SIDs. Cube consists of 500 fields. Load is from DSO to Cube. DSO has 10 fileds with no SID flag check for activation. Remaining fields in the CUBE are pouplated looking in to other DSO's. Start and End routines are executing very fast. How to fasten Conversion of Characteristic Values to SIDs step. I need to load 15 million records daily as part of delta. any suggestions.

11i to r12 Conversion - help needed

My client is doing re-implementation of r12 and migrating from 11i to r12. I need help particularly on conversions side. The client is a SaaS company. they are considering to bring open and history transactions and applied/unapplied receipts to r12 AR.
- how to migrate revenue scheduled open/closed invoices from 11i to r12 since rev schedules for a SaaS company is expected to be long terms. and how to make sure that rev schedules are correct upon migration to r12??
- for partially paid invoices how to make sure that the same partially paid amount reflects in r12 upon conversion? can a negative line amount equalling to paid amount be a possible solution??
- upon migration do the closed invoices have to be converted as open and receipts re-applied after migration in r12 or they can be brought in as-is with status closed?
- if customer paid for an invoice using a credit card in 11i and upon migration it came to notice that the credit card is no longer used by the customer so how to re-apply the same receipt in r12 which was applied in 11i using that credit card. do we have to enable it in r12 just for closing the invoice? what could be possibilities?
please anyone if can answer would be very helpful

It depends on the dpi. Usually 72dpi = 72 pixels per inch.
1000/72 = 13,88888 inch
1 inch = 25,4 mm
13,88888 * 25,4 = 352,7777 mm
You do the arithmatic with a calculator.

I thought it was doing that also. But I found that if I start a new chat with someone I was messaging before, then the old messages re-appear in the messages window.

Is there a way to selectively edit a conversation in iMessages instead of clearing the entire conversation? Like you can do on the iPhone for instance.

I need to delete myself from a Group Conversation.

My idiot friends added me to a group conversation and i cannot leave it. Each time i ask them to start a new conversation and not include me they refuse. My phone has been ringing non stop for 3 days now and i need to find a way to get out of this conversation so that i can go to class, do my homework and sleep at night!!! I can turn my phone onto Airplane mode but when it is in this mode I cant receive the important phone calls and text messages that i need to answer.
Somebody please help me.
If there is no way to leave this conversation somebody please tell me where i can find a virus that will shut down their phones.

In Thunderbird while trying to move conversation results to an archive folder; if some of the results are already in the folder it will not move any.

Hi. I often use the conversation search option when archiving my emails from inbox. I find this a very useful method of finding trails where I and multiple people have responded to each other. However If I have already moved one or more of these emails into the archive folder and select all to move, Thunderbird will not move any. I then need to individually select those that need to be moved.
Although not a major issue I use this regularly and often come across the problem. a recent fix which allows location tab to remain on in search helps but does not resolve this issue. A slightly annoying problem and I was wondering if any one else has this issue. Also is anyone looking into a solution?

FCPx answer: At least the answer that worked for me...
I had the same problem, as I believe many others had.
In my case the problem was with one of OSX Mavericks' new features: APP NAP.
It looks like this is ON by DEFAULT for ALL Applications and that FCPx, or Compressor for that matter, will not work if this is enabled on them.
I just disabled App Napp on FCPx and now it works, again, like a charm.

    Somebody knows how to import a table with conversion data that are in SAP R/3 and to take it to a value mapping table in XI?
    The purpose is to use a mapping table that can change in the future. Must I use a ABAP programming that retrieve data and build the value mapping table?
    If so, how I specify in the ABAP programming the group id, the scheme, the agency and the corresponding value?

There is an interface for mass replication of mapping data. The steps you need to carry out to use this are:

       1.      Register the Java (inbound) proxies.

There used to be a preference setting in Pages. Now it seems gone in Pages 5. So how do I stop automatic conversation of URLs to hyperlinks and seeing them underlined in text. Sometimes I want it, but not always.

The preference setting to turn off links is gone. When you enter content that triggers link detection, a link character style gets applied. Right-click on the link, choose Edit Link from the menu, and then Remove.
To prevent Pages from automatically detecting links, visit Edit > Substitutions > and deselect Smart Links.

Content conversion in sender file adapter problem

I receive a flat file with the following structure:
HEADER;...fields;
ITEM;...fields;
ITEM;...fields...;
HEADER;...fields;
ITEM;...fields...;
...etc.
and I am converting it to xml with the same structure. The Problem by the conversion is that the result looks something like this:
HEADER;...fields;
ITEM;...fields;
ITEM;...fields;
ITEM;...fields;
HEADER;...fields
HEADER;...fields.
So, all the ITEM recordsets are ordered to one HEADER structure and the other HEADER structures have no ITEMs.
Do you have a suggestion how I can get this right?
