GTS and FI intergration

Hi,
Currently we are implementing SAP GTS 7.2, we need to do SPL check on payment run.
When the payment proposal is generated in ECC - get an error as u201CTechnical error when checking in GTSu201D the message class is u201CFIPAY_GTSu201D but in GTS I could not find any technically incomplete document.
Does someone know why we are getting this error ?

Can you please help me on the necessary configuration that has to be made to enable the SPL check during the Payment run.
Also please let me know whether is it possible to have teh SPL check only during the payment and not during the Logistic document process (Like PO, Inbound Deliver, material Doc, SO, O.D or Billing).

Assign Logical System both in GTS and R3

Hello all,
We are using Two different system for R3 and GTS , and defined logical system both systems ( for R3 QR1CLNT100 and for GTS QG1CLNT100 , now do I need to assign logical system both system for clients in R3 and GTS ( I mean at the time of assignment both clients QR1CLNT100 & QG1CLNT100 i have to assign in both systems or only one.   For Feeder system only I need to assign GTS system logical system as QG1CLNT100 vice versa ( for GTS system need to only Feeder system logical client QR1CLNT100)

There are following steps for doing connection between R/3 and GTS
1. Define Logical System
Here you have to define both R/3 logical system as well as
GTS logical system.
2. Assign Logical System.
Here actually when u get in you will see the physical system
detail on which you are logged in , suppose you are on R/3 you will find detail of R/3 system with different clients. Some clinet willcome as default like 00 which is waldrof client the SAP client and other are are those which are created at the time of installation.
Here you have to assign the logical system of R/3 to the physical system client combination on which you looged in.
you will find a field of logical system on the top once you get in detail of the client system combination.
Now here we have assigned the Logical system of R/3 this is required as when GTS will communicate wiht R/3 it willtry to look for R/3 logical system as for RFC connection we always define logical system to which the system will talk.
this configuration we do under Maintain RFC connection for RFC call Tcode SM59
3. Maintain RFC connection for RFC call Tcode SM59.
   Here we define the Target host, and logon detail like
   language , client, user passwaord.
   We need to define the detail for GTS for RFC connection and   so we need here the logical system of GTS.
4. Maintain RF destination for method call
Here again you will require GTS logical system .
5. Maintain ALE distribution here you will require both R/3 and GTS logical system.

To Fetch Data from GTS and print in R/3

iam in need of help.
the core is i have a print program in R/3.from R/3 i have to validate some field with SAPGTS.
so that i have to apply a RFC call from R/3 ( print program ) to GTS and i have to fetch the data from GTS and print in R/3.
help me out in finding the RFC.
the print program is for VL02N

Mohan:
SAP and GTS are linked through a RFC destination and the RFC user ID is used to make the call. Once this is set up, you can call GTS through a Function Module call. The set up is normally done by BASIS team
From the program /SAPSLL/SAPLCD_PI_R3 you can drill down to get details of the specific user-exit which you can use to call GTS tables for specific data.

The integration aspects of MM-PM are:
1) for non stock materials requirement, purchase requsition can be created from the plant maintenance order. PR is converted to the Purchase order. when ever goods receipt is done , the cost is directly booked to the plant maintenace order.
2) for stock materials requirement,,reservation can be created from the plant maintenance order and the material can be issued to the order against the reservation.
3) Like materials , for services also PRs can be created from the plant maintenace order.
Another integration is BOM - Bill Of Material.
With Equipment BOM, you can create a list of material through which equipment is created or in othre words you can mention the spares that you may require during the maintenance of the equipment.

Connection Between SAP GTS and Legacy systems

Hi GTS Experts,
Could you please let me know how to connect between SAP GTS and Legacy systems.
This is for transfer of Customers, Vendors,Materials(Products in GTS),Transaction Data.
Could you please provide any documentation on this and is it PI team will do or functional guy.
One more question:
Customer created a sales order with sold to and ship to(both contains same address) in legacy system.
Then it will be sent to SPL screening in GTS.
Now he will change ship to address and this should not be passed to SPL screening-- how to do this.

Apart from what Dave mentioned as above, although there is no such document available apart from SAP Standard content document but its something that is very standard to other modules as well.
Actually, you need to have a middle ware like SAP PI or any non SAP Product between SAP and Non SAP Legacy system. Also, mapping should be defined well in advance in this. Then it will also involve the EDI at the SAP GTS system end and Web skills( or applicale connection skills) at the Legacy system end to ensure appropriate mapping and interchange of realistic data.
Here, I would like to know if your legacy system had already some SAP system connected to it?.

Has anyone created a scenario to globally manage HTS codes using both GTS and MDM?

My customer is using this HTS codes for export shipment , the HTS codes should be with pariods and description, Is there any configration to delimit the pariods for HTS codes when uploading the HTS codes into GTS system.
or I have to create manually with customizing HTS codes in GTS ?
Customer is facing the problem in live system to use without periods for HTS codes.

Qosmio x300-15u: device manager shows 1x 9800M GTS and 1x 9400M

Hi.
I have a Qosmio x300-15u and i have noticed in device manager it only shows 1x 9800m gts and 1x 9400m!!!
Is it right that i should have 2x 9800gts cards showing?
The spec for this machine should have 2x 9800 cards sli (whatever that means) So a total of 1GB video ram.
I'm sure im not getting the full performance of my laptop.
When i go into nvidia control panel it does not say anything about sli.
Btw; I am not running vista anymore.....
i now run windows 7 ultimate 64.

Oracle BPM and IPM intergration

Im new in the ECM space and im still learning the modules (IPM and BPM)
Can anyone tell me about the intergration between BPM and IPM, how it works and a case study would also be nice.
You can also point me to documentation that can give me the bigger picture o0f how these two modules work toger

In the data control palette under the collection that represents the child you should see a node of operations - in there you should see next/previous - drag those onto the page to get the scrolling through the records going on.

GTS and international freight

There is a requirement to report the intl freight charges on a import purchase for statistical reporting. What is the best practice to capture this data in GTS? (if TM is not used). Also, where in GTS does it indicate if this international freight is prepaid or collect, so, depending on legal regulation, it can be deducted or not for the customs value.

TM being transportation manated in SAP, vs. outside SAP.
Ideal would have the INCOTERMS and location determine if the freight is prepaid or collect. If collect, it would be nice to have pricing conditions that brought over the estimated freight. If prepaid, the amount prepaid should have a place so it can be reported for statistical purposes, if needed.
Does anyone use the INCOTERMS as part of an automated solution? What is best practice for documenting in GTS freight, and other potential additions/deductions from transaction value?

GTS and R3 interface

When a sales order line item goes on block in GTS, is it possible to update the sales order in R3 with that block information? I realize that in doing so VBAK or VBAP may need to be extended to hold additional fields.

First - there is a way to do what you ask:
Second - there is not a good reason to do it.
To see a block indicator on Sales Order (SO) or delivery, configure a code in the IMG of your feeder system that will appear in the 'delivery block' field of each/both the order and/or the delivery. I once saw someone use code "99" and another used "GT". When the copy control routine indicates the document is blocked in GTS, a user exit applies the block on the document in the feeder system.
The trouble with all this is it presents a new level of code maintenance and user exits to manage. Also, what if you have a combination 'Credit Hold' and 'GTS Block' ? You need a new code to represent the pair. You can see that this could get out of hand exponentially.
The reason you don't need to do this is that if the copy control routines are functioning properly, the system will not allow a delivery to be created from a blocked sales order, nor will it allow a blocked delivery to be picked, packed or goods issued until cleared in GTS.
There are reports on the feeder system side to indicate if GTS blocks are present. Also, there is a dialog box available that indicates GTS is blocking the order/delivery if further processing is attempted.
The rest is simply good training and good communication between order creators and the compliance group.

Dual Core Center- MSI 8800 GTS and MSI P6N SLI Platinum.

I have both the MSI 650i MOBO and the MSI 8800 GTS vidcard. When using an Asus P5B Dlx MOBO and this vidcard, Dual Core Center was installed and displayed the information for the videocard and allowed a mild OC. Now with both MSI products in the case, Dual Core Center only displays the information on the MOBO-- no 8800 GTS information. The tab at the top for the VGA does not bring up anything. ??? I have tried installing the version on each one of the disks that came with each piece of equipment again and it doesn't seem to make a difference, it doesn't work. I downloaded the most recent version of the utility from the MSI site and still get only the MOBO information. How do I get the display for the video card?
Or since the MSI utilities typically are listed on the forums as not being the greatest, what else can I/should I be using instead?
{I put this in the MOBO forum too as it hits both areas...}

Found that AtiTool (latest beta) works on the 8800's. The "find max core" and "find max memory" don't work perfectly though, as they start the overclock and then are supposed to check for errors; they are supposed to stop the adjustment upward when they encounter erros and come back down...... AtiTool just kept cranking it up, although you could visibly see the little 3D screen artifact all over the place. But It gave a good starting place to do the OC manually and then go run the scan for artifacts and errors manually. AtiTool listed the stock core at 513 and stock memory at 792. I was able to take the core up to ~644 and the memory up to ~877. I backed these off some (as you can't run both at max!) and it looked stable at 630 core, 860 memory. Ran through both 3DMark 05 and 3DMark06 without a hitch. Need to check it out with some extended gameplay now.

Mac Mini and IMac intergration

I'm preparing a presentation for my bosses who dislike having to basically halt production on other projects when exporting the print ready files of one in Indesign. (you can't package one file in indesign and work on another)
A idea i had was to find a way to take a mac mini backup and interface it so i could use my Dell XPS m1210 laptop or 17 In Imac as just the monitor.
any way i can link another computer with the Mini and just use the monitor?

But I think I know what you're getting at...I just answered a similar question in another post...If you're just doing this occasionally you could use Apple Remote Desktop (or a free VNC client) to control your mini's "screen". Basically on your mini go to the Sharing control panel and turn on the Apple Remote Desktop service. Then click Access Privileges button and turn on "VNC viewers may control screen with password" and assign a non-trivial password.
now on your PC or another Mac download a free VNC client. (I use the Apple Remote Desktop app ($500) so am not familiar with free clients but I hear "Chicken Of The VNC" mentioned alot) and use client to connect to mini...
If it works then you should be able to start up the mini w/out a monitor (headless) and then connect to it using VNC. you may have issues with finding mini, however, if your network/subnet changes. Maybe Bonjour will help?!?

Reports and Portal intergration

Hi,
what is the best practice for moving reports that were registered within
portal from a development, to a test and then to a production
environment.
I don't want do register every single report again through the portal UI
for each environment.
I am also aware of the portal command line tools (e.g. ssoexp etc.), but
they didn't seem to pickup my registered reports.

Did your SQL Loader run correct ? Is there a loader log in your security directory ? REPUS30.CTL should have been run (it didn't for me).
If you experience the same, try running "sqlldr userid=portal30/portal30@database control=3.0\repus30.ctl".
However, the reports/portal security setup is so buggy, I seriously doubt you'll have it working.
I have managed to make mine work up to granting execute privmliges to toher users than Portal30, so far without luck. And I'm stuck at the moment.
(I'm running 3.0.8 and Reports 6.0.8.13.1)

Visual Age 3.5 and Weblogic Intergration Kit (License Expired, please Contact BEA Systems Inc)

I started to run the Weblogic Server on my machine yesterday and I suddenly got
this error:
"License Expired, Please Contact BEA Systems Inc"
This is the message I got on the Visual Age Console:
"Invalid BEA WLS Integration Kit License. Please cantact BEA"
I was able to run Weblogic Server until the past 2 weeks. I tried to re-install
the whole Visual Age 3.5
and as well as the Integration Kit I download from the Weblogic website and I
still get the same
problem. Can somebody help me with this. I haven't upgraded to 3.5.3 yet.

The Kit available from the BEA website is an evaluation version. You need to
contact BEA Sales for a permanent license.

Flash and HTML Intergration

I know this has been asked before but after 2 hours of
googling I am still confused. Most discussions were too old and not
relavant anymore. any. here is what I want to do. I have created a
Flash website.

The client loves the header and navigation but the bottom of the
page is very clunky to do in flash. So what I want is the top to be
Flash with the butterfly animation and the bottom to be straight
html. The way that it worked in flash is that the butterfly
animation was smooth because you did not have to refresh pages. Is
there any way to accomplish this with html and Flash. I have tried
to use dives but everything involves a screen refresh. I am
somewhat familiar with Spry. Is that what is called for. Thank
