GTS7.2: EDI convertor / type of network in customs declaration

Could you give me a hint please...

In the Master Guide of GTS 7.2, I found a EDI converter is necessary in declaration to customs offices.
Is it possible to use NetWeaver PI as EDI converter?

If it is possible, what type of network do you use?
- dialup (with dialup-router)
- internet (HTTPS/SSL)
- VPN
- leased circuit
- or etc
I think, using leased circuit only for customs declaration is a surplus investment.
But other types of network are not so stable to use.

I am not sure if additional options are available in GTS 7.2 but in GTS 7.1 and earlier you had to use the Seeburger converter tool to convert IDocs in the customs message format that is supported by the customs authorities in your country.
This format is typically not EDI. However, you're putting the buggy before the horse here.
Your first steps in installing this interface must be to contact the customs authorities in your country to find out what preprequisites you must fulfill for filing declarations electronically out of GTS. The person at Customs will be able to tell you how to apply for electronic filing and how the data must be transmitted. If GTS supports interfacing with the Customs system in your country then the re-formatting of the messages will happen by implementing the Seeburger conversion tool and map. However, in many countries you must also transfer the data to and from Customs in a safe and secure manner. In the US, Customs mandates that you must use a secure method, like, eg a value-added-network to transfer the data securely. This is not an SAP mandate but something the customs authorities require.

EDI Output type

Hi guys
I have configured the EDI output type in the system and assigned to the procedure but when i am creating the sales order the system is not picking the procedure and when i pick it manually and try saving then it gives me error "Maintain outgoing EDI connection data for partner". I am manitaining records in VV11

EDI Message type issue

Dear Friends,
In my current project my issue is related to EDI Message type the problem is as below
If I use output type (message type) NEU which is SAP standard and if I select this out put type (NEU) with medium EDI after saving this I can see all the data segments in Outbound Idoc.
Now the actual issue is if I use the ZNET customize output type which is the extension of NEU with medium type EDI after saving this if I check the Idoc (We02) I am not able to see few purchase orders data segments like E1EDKT1(Header Text ) and E1EDPt1(Item Text)
What could be the reasons? Is there any setting where output types and data segments are linked

I have maintained all the parameters in partner profile.... I think Could not explained the issue in detail.
the issue is as below
When I select the output type ZNET in purchase order and medium EDI(Partner profile for Vendor maintained for outbound PO) after saving the same when I check the outbound IDOC generated by system in that some segments are not coming while in NEU output type all the segments are coming properly.
ZNET is the Extension of NEU .. now my question is to forum where output types are linked with segments ?so that I can compare the ZNET with NEU and findout the missing segments or could link the missing segments with ZNET

I did search the forum and nothing addressed my specific issue. Sorry if I didn't phrase my question clearly.
Anyway, I suspect the problem is that the Brightcove software does not work well with the Apple Intermediate Codec. I had no problem with a .mov exported with H.264 compression. This adds extra time to my workflow, but I suspect it will be a necessary evil.

EDI Output type generating multiple IDOCs

Hi All,
For one of the Business requirement we have created a Delivery EDI output type and output type is processed via Report RSNAST00 in a batch job.
The delivery document shows only one output type prcossed still, mutiple idocs are being sent out for this Delivery.
RSEOUT00 is being used to process outbound IDOC.
Any pointers toward this abnormal behavior shall be helpful.

Okay, so you have one output record in the delivery document generating multiple IDocs.
Compare the control records of the generated IDocs. Do they have the same Basic Type, Message Type and recipient Partner Number?
If yes,
1. Check for multiple background jobs running RSEOUT00 at the same time. Seems unlikely, but this is easy to check and eliminate as a possible cause.
2. Step through the program RSEOUT00 as it generates the output type for one delivery document. Perhaps something is happening in a user exit that inadvertently results in replication of the IDoc.
Otherwise, the process code that gets executed by the output type in the delivery document is, for some reason, generating additional output. I donu2019t know of any standard output process code that does this, but it could be deliberate (by design). If you are sure that it should NOT happen, then step through the code and look for a mis-behaving user exit.

Is it possible to make this type of network with router i have?

I have Linksys WRT54GC router at home and i share internet to all my PCs through the router.
Is it possible to share internet firstly through my PC, and then through this router to all other pcs? If it is possible how i should configure my router? If not - do i have to buy some kind of switch to make this type of network?
Example scheme:

I have now this configuration of my PC's and router, but internet on PC2 is not working, but PC2 and router see each other. But ping between PC1 and router (192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2) says "no response":

It is not clear to me what the exact problem is. The screenshots show that everything is correct. The second PC should have internet with this setup. PC1 won't be able to ping the router on 192.168.0.2 if you block ICMP (anonymous WAN requests) on the router. That setting should be on the Security tab.
I would suggest to set up the WRT as simple wireless access point. That way you still have full LAN connectivity between all your computers. To do that, you have to temporarily wire a computer to a LAN port of the router. Unplug the gateway computer from the router! There is only a single computer connected to the WRT at the moment.
Open http://10.10.10.1/ or whatever LAN IP address you have set on the WRT at the moment. On the Setup tab, change the internet connection type to "Automatic/DHCP", change the LAN IP address from 10.10.10.1 to 192.168.0.2, disable the DHCP server. Now press the save settings button. You'll loose the connection to the router. That's OK.
Now rewire the router. Connect a LAN port of the router to the gateway computer. Do not use the internet port on the WRT! That is the basic setup.
Now wired computers connected to the remaining 3 LAN ports on the WRT should have LAN and internet access. In the same way, wireless clients connect into the ICS LAN and have internet.

The true nature of logon type 3 (network logon) in logs?

I searched a lot before posting this question and I understood it's a "Network Logon". Fine to me. BUT:
-1- What is the true nature (meaning) of "Logon Type: 3" (Network Logon) you see in logs? What kind of operations do actually generate such log events? My first guess was: access to network shares. Maybe, but I see something like 90-95 percent
of such traffic from audit logs, 24 hours a day, even from machines that DO NOT offer disk/printer shares to the local network. So my guess is: (1) shares have nothing to do with it -OR- besides share services something else generates "Network Logon"
events in logs.
-2- is it normal to see Network Logon events constantly by the thousands over the 24 hours, even when people are not at their workstation?
Bear with me in case this was answered somewhere else and I simply missed it.

1) as far as I know, it is everything that uses the "Access this computer from a network" user right.
2)will all depend on the configuration and applications. For example, a DC will show a lot of these logon events, as will an IIS server with integrated authentication. Applications and services that communicate with other computers will definitely show up
in audit logs of remote hosts.

We have a Type 10 Network VRU configured with a label 8222222222 on the CCM Pim.
Everything is working fine from a call routing functionality.
Is there a way to mask the label 8222222222XXX from appearing on the phone when the route point is dialed?

PO document type not transferring to Customs management

We have configured PO document type in GTS for Import and it got transfer to Complaince not to customs. I have created CULOIM document type and item category on customs. when i checked on this table /SAPSLL/V_TLEYVS i couldn't find CULOIM document type.. When i try to create a new one it say CULOIM document type already exist...
I do not know why it is saying like that even document type not there in that table and where would i find that.
One more question:
When we assign document type to logical system on Customs we can see GTS document type field... when you press F4 you can see CD Cat - A... Can you tell me what is that and where do you define and assign to custom document type.

You can maintain the table by going into the SPRO and defining the doc tyoe you looking for , Onc eyou maintain there it reflects in in this table as it Configuration table.
If you want to delete , add any entry directly in table then u can do that by getting in debug mode.
Select a entry in table
Double click on it
Do /h to switch on the debugging
Press Enter
You will See different Case for "Code"
Type the filed name Code in in "field Name"
it will display the value 'SHOW' you can change this value as desire like to Delete 'DELE' , to insert new value 'AVNO' and then click on change pencil.
and press F8.
Now you come to the screen where u can do the changes and save it.
Custom Doc Category is taken automatically by SAP as for Export and Import doc type in customs it is always A.
If you cDefine Document Types for Advance Docs for Customs Declaration it is C.
Each category has got it one chateristics , so if we defining correct documnet type we need not to worry for category as it will by default come as set in SAP.

JLS3: Scope of type parameter and inner class declaration

1 errorApparently, the type parameter E of the outer class Foo shadows the inner class declaration E. An alternative way to check is to create a new E() in this method, which results in an error message about using a type parameter where a type is expected.
Of course this code is sick, but I would like to know where this is defined in the JLS3, since I cannot find out in which way this shadowing works. What I've found until now:
Page 179:
"The scope of a class' type parameter is the entire declaration of the class."
Page 190:
"The scope of a declaration of a member m declared in or inherited by a class type C is the entire body of C, ... "
Page 132:
"If a type name consists of a single Identifier, then the identifier must occur in the scope of exactly one visible declaration of type with this name, or a compile time error occurs."
Section 6.3.1 (Shadowing declarations) specifies the shadowing rules, but does not mention type parameters.
Any help is appreciated.

The current behaviour in eclilpse seems to be the one we get if the bug in javac is fixed as described.

Extend BASIC Type HRMD_ABA (HRM Module) - Custom Extention

Hi I have extended IDOC Message type HRMD_ABA to include custom Infortype. We are planning to use Change Pointer.
How can BD21(generate idoc from change pointers) populate custom infotype data into the IDOC?

Automatically nothing happens. You need the find an user exit to populate the data for the custom info type related data to populate the IDOC custom segments that you had added.
You need to locate an user exit inside the FM "RH_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_HRMD".
you can try the below user exits that suits your requirement:

Can I add Custom Content Type created programmatically to Custom List Definition?

I have created Custom content type programmatically in the Feature Receiver. Followed by this have another feature which creates List Template. I want to add the custom content type to the list template.
Using VS 2012, I added the custom content type to the list definition. The Schema.xml for the list definition looks as below:

</ContentTypes>
ID was automatically added by the VS tool.
List Template is created, the new content Type is also added, but the Name is displayed as "Document" instead of the custom content type name. So I see two CTs with the name "Document".
How can I achieve this? Any help is appreciated.
