GTX 570 TF/OC Physx missing after Bios update
After applying new Bios V222 Physx HW-Mode is gone (i belief). MSI Live Update 5 says a new Bios for my card is out (v231). But installing this one, the default Clockrate decrease to 732 Mhz (non OC-Version). How can i get the Physx HW-Mode back?
All drivers are up to date.

yeap, i did it before i opened this topic. The fluid Demo from Nvida runs only in SW-Mode and no adjustmens for Physx in the Nvidia-Control panel. This drives me a little bit crazy.
this has nothing to do with vbios used.
you have some driver mess
Use Driver Sweeper to complete remove current VGA drivers, do this in "Safe Mode"
http://phyxion.net/item/driver-sweeper.html
then reboot and load windows as usual,[in normal mode]
and install latest VGA drivers 267.26 http://www.geforce.com/#/Drivers/Results/27598

do ec reset: https://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/how-to-reset-the-ec-embedded-controller
Thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it very much...
That exactly what I did but still the same. I even flashed it back and forth a couple of times from j version to f version and follow exactly the ec reset but it didn't solve. Is there any other solutions? -
I bought Toshiba laptop Model E45-B4200, at first time I could activate windows 8.1 like a charm.
Few months later Windows 8.1 has crashed, so I did clean install of pre-installed windows, no problem so far. Toshiba Application installer app has downloaded BIOS update, so I ran it.
I tried to activate windows after BIOS update, but it didn`t work. No error message, but Change PC settings window just got minimized every time that I tried to click on Activate Windows option. I thought that I did some mistake, so I repeated windows reinstallation, and same problem occurred again.
Now I can`t update Windows, Office 2013, and so on.
I`ve tried SLUI 4 command to force activation by phone, but it didn`t work as well.
I read on MS blogs that windows 8.1 stores product key on MSDM table, windows should be activated normally. Now I got no options now, can you help me?It shouldn't need to be activated it. Everything should be automatic. Because it's asking you, that's already indicative of a problem. You might want to call customer support.

How can I downgrade the bios again? Or - what have I to change in the bios-settings?Hi schuwe,
Im a little bit confused about your posting. How do you tell your BIOS not to restart?
Anyway, after BIOS update you should load the default settings in BIOS.
Did you choose the right BIOS especially for your model? -

After BIOS update DVD driver do not read DVDs anymore - Sat A80
Hi,
I have a Satellite A80-131 and after bios update (last version 2.5) by windows procedure update, my DVD drive do not read DVD medias anymore. It is possible to read CD medias, but not DVD one.
Can I reinstall the old bios? Can I reinstall the firmware?
Thanks
Ronai LisboaHi Ronai
Like Jimi has said in the posting above. It's very unusual that after BIOS updating the DVD drive hasn't read the DVDs.
Furthermore it's not advisable to use any 3rd party applications to DOWNGRADE the BIOS. Usually only the ASP can downgrade the BIOS. Such procedures are very serious and the wrong procedure can damage the motherboard.
However, it's nice that you have solved the problem and that the drive works properly.
Thanks for the feedback. -
Satellite Pro L300: BSOD after BIOS update
Hi
after update the Bios of Satellite Pro L300, the windows not start!
Its show the blue dead screen!
What can i do?Hi
Are you able to access the BIOS settings?
Im not quite sure why this BSOD appears but possibly the SATA mode settings have been changed after BIOS update
Usually the SATA mode should be set to AHCI if the SATA drivers are installed.
But if the SATA drivers are not included the SATA mode should be set to compatible.
Please check this!
Furthermore you could set the BIOS to the default settings and could try to boot the machine again. -
Satellite A100-590 PSAA9E freezes on Toshiba welcome screen after BIOS update
Hi.
Yesterday I did a BIOS update on my Satellite A100-590 PSAA9E-03Z00QGR with the appropriate flash:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory =2&selFamily=2&selSeries=153&selProduct=624&langua ge=17&selOS=10&selType=all&yearupload=&monthupload =&dayupload=&useDate=null&mode=userMachines&search =&action=search&macId=&country=all&selectedLanguag e=17&type=all&page=1&ID=58477&OSID=-1&driverLanguage=42
bios-20070709111839.zip
After the flashing procedure the machine rebooted automatically, but unfortunately it now keeps hanging at the Thoshiba welcome screen. Also pressing F2 or F12 won't change anything. It seems like the BIOS is corrupt.
I saw, that in the BIOS package are delivered two flash files (s10gm590.rom and s10pm590.rom). But just executing the SanAntonion10 BIOS590MP.exe a .vbs script is started that decides automatically chooses and loads a flash file. Maybe it chose the wrong one?
What shall I do now? Is there a way to restore the BIOS, or do I have to send my notebook in?
Thanks in advance
MAT> Satellite A100-590 PSAA9E freezes on Toshiba welcome screen after BIOS update
What to say Marc. It looks like you have used a wrong BIOS version or you have updated the BIOS in wrong way.
You could try to access the BIOS and try to set the settings to default.
Dont forget to save the settings if you will exit the BIOS.
But if this procedure does not help, you will have to contact the ASP in your country.
Possibly the guys will try to flash the BIOS again with other special version.
Good luck

HP p6230a runs slow after bios update - Getting error BIODHD-8 on Diagnostic Tools
After bios update my desktop runs so painfully slow it is unworkable. Disk drive seems to be constantly hammered by processes that don't appear on task manager. Running 64 bit windows 7 (sp1). Running the diagnostic tools prior to boot up comes up with error code BIOHD-8 - A SMART test failed on the drive - please contact HP Support. Ideally would like to get previous version of bios as machine was running well before update.
I will ask my HP Employee Expert colleagues about this internally. It will take a while for them to respond.
the BIODHD-8 error code means your harddrive is failing and must be replaced.
Back up everything that you possibly can before it fails and no longer boots up into Windows .
is your notebook still within the standard warranty period of one year? A notebook hard disk is a warranty replaceable item.(no cost to you while within warranty)

after bios update side nomberpad is not workinh keys from 0-9
Hello jay04,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the number keys do not work on your keyboard. I will do my best to assist you. First, I require the following information:
1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your product number
2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs?
4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?
Additionally, if the issue just began occurring, I would perform a system restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge whatever caused the issue. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore
Thanks!

Satellite Pro C850 wont work after Bios update
my satellite pro c850 cd wont work after bios update from toshiba.
what do i do?Saying: dont work you mean it does not power up or what do you mean exactly?
Did you flash the BIOS properly?
Possibly something went wrong during the update and this means that ROM module isnt flashed properly
In most cases a special BIOS crisis disk would be needed to get it working
Not quite sure if you can get it fixed by your own
Check this thread. Maybe it helps:

Satellite A series does not start up after BIOS update
After bios update with downloaded utility my notebook does not start up.
Did this case covered by warranty?Im not quite sure if this would be covered by warranty. You should contact the ASP in your country for details but I presume its not covered.
PS: Did you try this workaround:
- remove battery, disconnect the AC adaptor
- wait ~ 40min
- connect both devices again and try to power up the notebook -
Satellite L650-1KR PSK1JE - dead after BIOS update
As the subject already states, my Satellite L650 - 1KR Part No. PSK1JE is totally OFF after BIOS-Update 2.40-WIN from bios-download-page.
I tried everything: Press all buttons, take out the laptop battery, only laptop battery, ...simply nothing!
My last hope is a hidden, very special key sequence for toshiba laptops or something like this.
Of course my warranty is already over... :-(
Please help!
Thank you in advance...
lichtimcSorry to hear you have such problem now. I presume something went wrong and now the BIOS chip is screwed up and in such situation you need professional help. Toshiba service provider can help you with this but Im afraid it can be very expensive.
In the past I never had such problems but on the net you can find many pages with description what can be done. Visit this page and check if you can find something useful there. I mean you can try to fix it alone.
