GTX 770 2GB Twin Frozr Gaming Boost 2.0

Hey! Im new here and would like help to a question in my mind.
I got the GTX 770 and i wonder if there is any bios that turns of GPU Boost 2.0. Dont like it and want a constant clock when i set it.

Actually pulled it off.. I made my own bios and it worked. I Set the Base clock and the boost to 1085 mhz. So now i can increase the clock to exakt the clock i want.. in 1 mhz steps. No throttling! Always running the same clock speed.

Btw all i did was downloaded KeplerBiosTweaker v 1.25
Used gpu-z to save my bios. Then opened it in KeplerBiosTweaker and changed the boost clock to the same as default.. (1085.5mhz)
Saved and flashed it with Nvflash -4 -5 -6 biosname.rom in windows commande promt.
Done..

GTX 770 2GB Twin Frozr OC does not POST

Been building new PC over last couple of days. When I do not have the graphics card installed my system works fine. With the graphics card installed I am unable to reach the POST screen. I have switched the monitor cable between the graphics card and motherboard and do not receive an output signal for either. I have also swapped out the power cable going to the graphics card as well as tried different PCI outputs coming from the PSU.
I do not have access to another computer to try the graphics card on.
What are your recommendations for my next troubleshooting step? All system components are brand new.

Well as you don't have access to different computer to test it with, it's quite difficult. (friends? got any friends? :D )
I'd start off with... testing in another rig. Also it would be really good if you could test different card in your PC. As you said you're not able to test, maybe go to some local store and ask if they can test your PC?
Did you give CMOS clearing a shot? >>Clear CMOS Guide<< Also I'd look through BIOS settings.
Make sure it is fully pushed in, same with PCIe power cabling. Sometimes this might be an issue, as you can think it is fully in, but it's not.

Fan problem: GTX 660 2GB Twin Frozr III

Hello!
I have a problem with my GPU fans.
Afterburner says the fans are spinning at all levels, but I can observe that they are not.
If I start at 0% and slowly increase the fan speed by 5% t doesn't work until it reach ~85%, but I if I start of at 100% and slowly decrease the speed by 5% it will work until it reaches ~70% (however at this point only 1 of the fans are spinning).
I've tried to reinstall the drivers and cleaning it, but with no result.
It seems like the fans can't idle correctly, they can either work at nearly max speed or not work at all.
Anyone els ever experienced the same problem?

What Afterburner version your are using???
Did you uncheck the red "auto" tab, and press the tick after you change the fan speed?

Nothing seemed to work. My old graphics card is found without a problem.

I have just bought a MSI R9 270X Twin Frozr Gaming 2GB.
When I see some youtube there is a flicker once in a while. I have read this is a problem with R9 270X.
What can I do about it?

GTX 780 Twin Frozr Gaming Running too hot!

Hi,
i recently bought a new gaming pc with a GTX 780 Twin Frozr Gaming. On idle the card is around 35C. When playing games like Metro Last Light it gets to 80C really fast.
On IDLE my CPU temp is 30C and my System temp between 35-40C.
Is the cooling on my GPU broken?

How much airflow does the card have? Is your case really cramped?
How about the fans, are they spinning on the card?
Do temperatures get any higher than 80C?
I wouldn't be worried to be honest, if temperatures don't get much higher than 80C (like not over 90C) and the card isn't throttling back - you should be fine.
But if the card is throttling back to prevent it from getting any hotter - I may be inclined to think something is wrong - perhaps not enough airflow, or the card needs the TIM reapplied. I do not think this is the case though.

GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II - Nvidia drivers keep crashing?

Until recently I owned a GF8800 GT 512MB which worked like a charm. Never had a single problem with it. I bought the MSI GTX 560 Ti about a month ago. Ever since then I've had the nvidia drivers crash randomly every few hours. I though it might be a driver bug so I waited for an update, but since then I've updated the drivers twice (2 new stable releases and 1 beta), tried a "clean install" also and every version had the same problem. So it's obviously not a driver issue.
When I say crash, I mean the screen goes blank, the monitor turns itself off for a few secs, and when it comes back on, I get a tray notification that the "Nvidia driver stopped working/crashed and has recovered" (something like that).
I'd also like to point out that my PC really is 100% rock solid/stable and I have zero other problems besides this GPU issue.
Is this a faulty GPU or is there a solution for this annoying problem?

EDIT: In case it helps, this has so far only happened during normal work in windows, never during gaming. So my guess would be a problem with the 2d software/hardware perhaps?
EDIT2: Kombustor temps are: 35-40 idle, 75-77 on load (no user overclock ofc, only the factory one).

I am having this 'TDR' problem as well and have been helping nVidia by testing some drivers. Not really sure how long it will take to fix this but ManuelG (nVidia customer relations) did say the new WHQL driver has been delayed as they are trying to find a fix.

The problem occurs every time I use Anti-Aliasing settings in game. I tested with and without OC, I decreased the frequency of the GPU, we reisntalat OS, I installed 3 drivers no change, nothing.

I'm facing issue with my Nvidia GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II, and I saw other do have...
My config :
When using windows, or games (I'm Crysis addicted ) I get a screen freeze, a blank (black) screen and after seconds a video driver message saying that it recovers the display as it were not responding anymore....
It happens without reason to me and temperature isn't related as it happen even with a temp of 45°c....
I've tried :
Updating driver, downgrading them,
Re installing Windows (x64),
Updating motherboard Bios (P55a-UD3R Gigabyte with latest bios version)
Flashing my OCZ Vertex 3 SSD (a pain ....)
Upgrading my power supply to a Corsair 750GS
Nothing corrects the problem.
At last I 'm looking to upgrade video bios but I don't want to brick my precious video card...
So I'm requesting your help to use "THE" good file version of video bios using NVFlash 5.118 for Windows for example.
Overclocking isn't my goal, stability is...

Gtx 560 ti twin frozr OC/II fan problem

So i have had my Gtx 560 ti twin frozr for 2,5 Years about and i noticed week or two ago and my fan had weird noise yesterday i opened it to clean dusts and after that when i turned my PC saw and right fan isn't spinning (it spins every 4-5Sec for a moment and has annoying sound)

Pink srambled screen on youtube video (GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr II / OC)

I got a problem with my MSI GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr II / OC 1 GB RAM.
I installed NVIDIA Reference driver version 260.10 from NVIDIA. Everything runs really fine except watching youtube videos in fullscreen. Sometimes watching youtube the screen scrambles pink and the pc stops responding (surpringsly teamspeak kept on working because i was still able to chat with my mates). If you google for "gtx 560 pink" youll find many people complain about this issue.
When I go back to NVIDIA reference driver version 295.73 everything runs really fine and no crashes in pink on youtube. The result of my research on this issue is that it seems mostly driver related.
For most people falling back to 295.73 or even earlier works on this issue. Some people suggested raising the voltage via msi afterburner, but I dont want to do that.

Also you can test GeForce 301.24 or stuck to vga driver which works best for you.

GTX 560 Ti (Twin Frozr II) Temperatures

Hello, I know that temperatures are a 'hot' topic always, especially for the 560 Ti as it is rated 20'C cooler than stock. At the moment I hit a threshold of 92-95'C when playing World of Tanks on 1680x1050, full settings except Anisotropic 8x. The custom fan settings are such that after 70'C the fans are at 100%.
I have only 1 VGA - GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II, in an NZXT Tempest 410 Elite case. It has 2x 140mm exhausts (top) 1x 120mm exhaust (back), 3x 120mm intake (2 front, 1 bottom). I can attach pictures if a visual of the setup is needed. I have an excellent wiring setup, there is very little blockage. I also run BOINC and hit high 70s and mid 80s. Most games run in the high 80s.
I've tried Furmark a few times but anything larger than 800x600 maxes temperatures almost immediately (within seconds) and the fans cannot catch up and I stop it before it can set fire to itself. It also makes a loud ringing noise during those tests, so that's not good either.
Is anyone familiar with such high temperatures on a card that is not OC, other than how it came in the box, in a case with lots of airflow, playing games that really shouldn't be hitting that temperature? Also, I've tried testing with the removed side panel, it changes by perhaps +/- 1-2'C.
All help is greatly appreciated, I'd like to know if I have to RMA for faulty thermal paste or just stop worrying about the glowing red boiler in my computer.

I don't have any issues like that on my 560 Ti GE TF ll and currently it's running f@h 66% fan speed, 73C at 99% GPU load, 23C room temp. This is in CM 330 Elite case with 1 front intake, 1 rear exhaust fans both 120mm + PSU fan exhaust. Nothing fancy there and I've never had temperature issues with any MSI (6 in all the past few years & all but 2 with TF ll coolers)
I certainly don't see how replacing all of his case fans would help with his VGA temperature problem.

You can't just lever it off, you'll need to giggle/spin/twist back and forth a bit. This is because you'll find an ungodly amount of gloop under the heatsink and it provides very strong surface tension.
The reason i ask about the adapter is I got a strange one with the 1st card I got that had to be RMA'd because of the same high temp issue you are having. (it was about 8cm long, and grey)
Initially I thought maybe it was a batch of cards that shipped with that one that were the hot ones, a duff batch.
Ironically I cant use both DVI sockets and the mini hdmi port because the card is not wide enough. The weird grey adapter would sort that issue out so I'm trying to find one.

I have been having problems (Blue lines/dots/squares, then system instability, driver crashes, and system crashes) since i built this computer and have finally narrowed the issue down to one of the 560's.
One works, one causes the above issues.
I've followed instructions on this forum and installed newest drivers using driver sweep ect.
When i install the working one as primary and the faulty one next to it, everything is fine until i enable SLI, then the above problems start.
If i remove the working one and install only the faulty one, i can barely get into windows.
Any suggestions? How can i RMA it?

keep the unstable vga only installed in the PC until make it stable [eventually] before install the second one.
what's the default voltage for your card?
and have does the issue gone is gone if you apply reference clocks?

GTX 560 ti twin frozr II PSU

Hi everybody,
pls help me with my problem. I bought GTX 560 ti twin frozr II - in my case i have: Intel i5 750, 1TB HDD, 3GB DDR3 and 2x92mm fans. PSU is Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze.
When I connect graphic card on two 6pins and power on PC, nothing happend. Only fans on case, CPU, psu and graphic fans make small moves but PC do not start. When I disconnect two 6 pins, PC started, but I do not see scene on monitor. What is wrong, graphic card, or psu?

graphic card it is not "new" so I have not warranty (my fault) next time i will buy new. But graphic card look like new. On first look there is not traces of use.
I do not clear CMOS - I never heard, that I can clear CMOS after insert new component...
I do not check compatibility - after this card I have zotac gt220 synergy edition 512MB, but when gtx 560 ti not working i buy Gigabyte gtx 560 SOC and this card working.
And I have MB ASROCK P55M Pro.

Gtx 560 Ti twin frozr II driver crash

Hi, I have a gtx 560 Ti twin frozr II that randomly have driver crashes in windows. The screen would turn black for about 5 seconds and reappear saying the drivers have crashed. I have the latest drivers. This would happen about 2-3 times a day. Is there a way to fix this?

Check this thread and see if problem/possible solution might apply to you.
It possibly will if you're using Firefox and getting get pop-up messages saying something along the lines "nVidia driver crashed and then was restored"
