    Use >>this<<
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

  • MSI Twin Frozr Gtx 770 4gb uefi bios

    Hey guys.
    First time posting here.
Does my graphics card come with a uefi bios? If not, how do I get one and how do I flash it? I'm experiencing black screen hangups on startup, on a new build and people say a bios flash may be the solution.
    Thanks.
    My current bios: ht tp://ww w.2sh ared.co m/file/qpo5L9 My/GK104.ht ml
please delete spaces (says I'm not allowed to post external links, sorry)

A few weeks ago, I built my own pc and installed Windows 8.1. I've installed just basic drivers from vendors websites and avast, malwarebytes, some benchmarking utilities and games. I'm getting really sluggish startup speeds, and my pc stops at a black screen after the windows logo but before the logo. The way I would describe the black screen is, it happens after the windows logo but before the welcome screen - a black screen from 8-15 seconds. I cannot move my cursor or see anything. Some research from the likes of eightforums etc suggests its my gpu drivers, so I decided to post here.
    What I've tried:
Reinstalled video card drivers to see if it stops black screening
    Full virus scan
Made startup programs and services minimal
Checked event viewer for anything peculiar - nothing came up, besides a driver related to my asus motherboard - AMDA00 Interface. I have since disabled it, as its not needed. Still no difference.
Reinstalled windows 8.1. Still the same.
When I boot in safe mode, I also get the "hanging" black screen, although it doesn't last as long.
    My specs:
CPU: Intel i5 4670K (Stock Speeds)
    Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP - 2x4GB @ 1866Mhz
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770 4GB - CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU Cooler
    PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750W
    Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Windowed (with Red AKASA Led Strips)
    Display: Benq GL2460HM 24" Monitor
Keyboard/Mouse: Basic sumvision keyboard and tecknet mouse - both USB. No other peripherals connected.
Any help is appreciated and feel free to ask for any more info.
    Thanks

  • UEFI/GOP bios request for N770 lightning

    S/N:602-V283-06SB1306008467
I need a uefi/gop bios for my gtx 770 lightning
this may seem dumb but i am unable to differentiate which side of the bios switch is ln2 and which side is original.
    Version               : 80.04.BC.00.10
    Version               : 80.04.BC.00.11
when i run nvflash it spits out these versions. For the two bios.
And another thing i would like to know is i have head nvidia has locked the voltage and so ln2 and the original are now one and the same.
link to my nvflash and bios dumps---dropbox.com/sh/vysm8zqprg03r8v/AAB8ssfvuP0f_r_ZEbVJISffa?dl=0

Use the attached (201 is normal and 211 is the LN2 version)
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the desired file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the desired file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

The LN2 vbios is unlocked. Be sure to use extended MSI voltage settings in Afterburner.

  • UEFI GOP BIOS Request, GeForce 650

I am trying to use UEFI GOP BIOS for my NIVIDA GeForce 650 graphics card in order to use the "ultra fast" boot option in my motherboard BIOS boot menu. I purchased the card less than a year ago, so I think the warranty still applies. I've seen a few methods on how to use this function, but I'd rather get instructions and files from a personalised response.
I'm hoping for detailed instructions on how to 'install'/flash UEFI GOP BIOS (and the actual file(s) please), and how to troubleshoot some basic problems I might run into.

    Hi,
would you please provide me with a UEFI/GOP Bios for my new R9 270X 2G?
The S/N of my card is: 602-V303-13SB1312020123
Thank you very much in advance.
(Do i need to move the switch to position 1  or 2 to enable UEFI/GOP or do i just need to flash the bios and be done with it?)
    Regards
    Dennis

Yep, the vbios you posted is a legacy one.
    Use >>this<<
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (102.rar) and put the included file (TV303MH.102) on that stick.
Rename TV303MH.102 to 102.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 102.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

oh right! My computer still isn't doing UEFI fast boot properly - the BIOS post screen still shows up for 5-10 seconds (even though I've set the post screen time to 0) - after that it's a 4-5 second boot into windows 8. I figured it was the graphics card my BIOS was having trouble with, must be something else...!
