GTX 780 Twin Frozr Gaming Running too hot!
Hi,
i recently bought a new gaming pc with a GTX 780 Twin Frozr Gaming. On idle the card is around 35C. When playing games like Metro Last Light it gets to 80C really fast.
On IDLE my CPU temp is 30C and my System temp between 35-40C.
Is the cooling on my GPU broken?
How much airflow does the card have? Is your case really cramped?
How about the fans, are they spinning on the card?
Do temperatures get any higher than 80C?
I wouldn't be worried to be honest, if temperatures don't get much higher than 80C (like not over 90C) and the card isn't throttling back - you should be fine.
But if the card is throttling back to prevent it from getting any hotter - I may be inclined to think something is wrong - perhaps not enough airflow, or the card needs the TIM reapplied. I do not think this is the case though.

Two (separate) GTX 580 Twin Frozr OC running too hot?
I just just bought two GTX 580 Twin Frozr II OC. I can't run these in SLI yet but have tested both separately in my PC. Something doesn't seem right in the temps. Both cards when using Kombustor get to 85+ degrees. I was made to believe these cards are meant to be far cooler than the reference design (box states 19C cooler!). I tested the cards separately. Ambient temp is just under 30C.
Here are my relevant PC specs:
Intel Core i7 920 2.67GHz D0
Thermalright Venomous X + Scythe S-FLEX 120mm 1900rpm SFF21G
EVGA X58 Classified E760 Motherboard
Mushkin 6GB DDR3 1600 MHz Redline (998691)
Corsair HX-620W PSU
Lian Li PC-A77B (+ W75BT side window)
Scythe Kaze Master Pro 5.25"
5x Case fans (3 in - 2 out)
Pioneer S16J DVD DL-RW
Western Digital Black 1TB WD1002FAEX
Western Digital Green 1TB WD10EARS
Asus Xonar Xense 7.1
Also, when using one of these cards, it bumps my CPU from 40C to 63C idle!
Funny thing is, my GTX 470 was actually cooler than this and that card was heavily overclocked.Quote from: hellbent joker on 28-February-11, 05:51:19
While I undertand that you will get different results I still haven't read anywhere on the internet that anybody has claimed a 19c difference with these cards or anything close to it. Have you ? If you have read it somewhere can you please post the links here.
The actual box claims it is 19C cooler than the reference cooler. See MSI's own site: http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N580GTX-Twin-Frozr-II-OC.html

Increasing intake will not do you much good, you need to increase exhaust airflow somehow. Exhaust airflow should be greater than intake. A side intake blowing on VGA cards can help but any way you do it exhaust air still needs to be greater than intake air.
This is a good point. I'll be buying some 2200RPM Yate Loons soon from my water cooling set up (will be throttling them to 1200-1600RPM), I will install two of these in my case as a test to see if my temps drop. I'll then install more as intake as well and observe the difference. -
MSi GTX 760 Twin Frozr Gaming on B85M-P33 MoBo
Hello all,
could someone tell me what I have to do? The MoBo doesn't find the GTX when I plug it in.
*Updated the bios
* reconnected
*Recabled
Nothing seemed to work. My old graphics card is found without a problem.
Is it even compatible?

My Geforce GTX 760 Twin Frozr is running at 3000RPM constantly. Please Help!
Hello, for some reason my new MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB Twin Frozr Gaming Edition graphics card keeps running at 100% (3000 RPM) and for some reason I cant change it. When I hook it up to the PSU outside of the case its so quiet which is what I need, but as soon as I put it in the PCIE slot it gets really loud. I'm not even doing anything on my pc and it will still be loud. This is my first build and I dont know much about computers please help me. Thank you.

MSI GTX 780 Twin Frozr OC Gaming PCB
I've just put an order in for one of these brand new 780's and I was just wondering if it does indeed have a custom PCB or not? I've been reading around lots of review sites and some say that it does and others say it's a reference PCB with better components on it.
So would I be able to purchase a reference 780 backplate and have it fit fine on this card?
This is for the GFX-780-N780TF3GD5
Thanks for any help in clearing this up guys.for god sake sew333 we have told you this so many times STOP IT! THAT TEMP IS FINE AS ALL GTX 7xx CARDS USE GPU BOOST 2.0 that has a thermal target of 80C so 64C is 16C Below target TEMP! so its nice and frosty with about 1/2 fan speed ITS FINE!
now do not post any more temp questions as they are so annoying and DO NOT HIJACK OTHER PEOPLES TOPICS (if you keep this up i will personally ban you as we have explained this so many times thats both me and flobelix are out of Patience with these repetitive questions and your testing our patience here so no more Temperature related questions unless they are over 90C at full fan speeds)!

Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash. -

GOP / UEFI Vbios request - MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr Gaming 2GB OC new bios

I would like to ask for UEFI mod for my card. It's different from the one posted HERE, because I've upgraded the BIOS recently. The BIOS is in the link below. I don't have a slightest idea how can I attach something here and I cannot post external links, so I had to chop down the link to the file.

MSI Twin Frozr Gaming Geforce GTX 770
Dear MSI,
Recently I bought myself an ASUS PG278Q Gaming Monitor with 144hz & 2K Resolution.
Now my game no longer plays smooth and nice. & my FPS is between 70 & 100 and drops to 30/50 in teamfights..
1.5 year ago I purchased the MSI Geforce GTX 770 Twin Frozr & I really expected this card to be strong enough for the monitor.
( I play League of Legends, soon hoping competitively. Also I got to know from some people that this card would be strong enough for the monitor. )
All my drivers are up to date in the Nvidia Geforce Expierence. Can someone help me & How to solve this?
Kind Regards,
RoryHi
