Guest account asks for password

On Lion at login I see there is a guest account, but when I click it it asks for a password. I didn't think it was supposed to do this and no idea what the password is. How do I remove the password prompt or change the password?

Is the lock on the bottom left open or closed. If it is locked, the password is to unlock it most likely.

Exchange account asks for password

Hello all,
I added an exchange account to Mail and when I at work it works fine. I can check my emails, look at the calander, contacts sync, notes can be accessed, and reminders show. When I leave, Mail continously asks for my credentials nd can not connect. I ran the connection doctor and the status light is red and the details say the following; Trying to log in to this Exchange account failed. Verify that the username and password are correct. The inforation I enter is correct or else I would not be able to use my laptop at work.
As a side note, I have the account connected to the account on my iPad and iPhone and they are not having any issues connecting to the server or recieving and sending email. It does have a domain name entered in the account on both and I can not see anywhere to enter a domain name.
Does anyone know how to connect an Exchange account that works on the iOS devices but has issues off site on computer?

Just found out that the Mailbox server Microsoft Exchange version is 8.3.83.0 and the Authentication type associated with this Outlook Web Access session is NTLM.

Blank window when internet accounts asks for password change

I'm on OSX Yosemite and I've got a gmail account that I've just changed the password to. I keep getting a pop up from system prefs to change my password. Clicking on the pop up takes me to internet accounts, but another window pops up and its blank. I managed to change my password for the account on the mail app, but now I'm trying to send an email and the pop up is back and I have no idea how else to change my password.
Here's a screen shot of the screen.

When I go to internet accounts and click on the account, the pop up just comes up again. How do I change the password without the pop up? Clicking details only has name and description.

You aren't going to be able to delete it without the correct password. If it's your ID, you can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. If it isn't your ID, you will have to get the password for the person who owns the ID. There's no way around this and no one else can help.

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

OK...now I appear to 'progressed' I changed my email address back to original on Apple id and then was able to delete icloud account. Apparently I couldnt do it as it kept requesting password when I entered passsword ( both old and new one, it wouldnt accept it as it had my old email address in ) It didnt do that on ios6 . Anyway I deleted account, but now I tried to login in with my new id/password and it says unable as already in use!!! More help needed please! Its a nightmare!!

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

and see if you can tell what you are doing wrong. Sometinmes it is easier to delete the account from the iPod and reenter the settings rather than trying to find the error.

Apps are tied to the Apple ID they were bought with and can not be shared with other devices that have a different Apple ID.

OK. I will work backwards.
You certainly don't want to have to delete apps every time that they need an update, for any number of reasons. Losing data first and foremost would be a drag, but the overall hassle would be absurd. All things being equal, you should be able to update apps in the future after you delete them and reinstall them. I delete and reinstall apps all the time and I am also able to update them when updates are available for the apps. I just wanted to know if you had any success in any fashion installing apps.
Resyncing/refreshing the Apple ID/iTunes account wouldn't seem to be the issue either if you can download apps or other content from the iStores. Your ID is being accepted.
That leaves us with I'm not sure what. But I think I would try this trick fix and see if it helps.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Mail on your Mac. I recommend the following steps for the issue you described:
If you entered the correct password in the password dialog in Mail, but continue to be asked for your password, try these solutions.
Open Keychain Access, then locate and delete the mail account password item.
Open Disk Utility, select the volume (for your hard disk or disks) in the list, click First Aid, then Verify Disk. After you’ve verified (and repaired, if necessary) the disk, try sending yourself a message.
