Guest book php?

Next project is another site, but this one uses a guest book
(for a wedding) What scripts should I use for this. Do I have to
edit the guest book entry before it gets posted, or does it get
posted on the site automatically?
Once again, Thanks for your time!!

  • RSVP and Guest Book

    Hi all,
Can we add RSVP and guest book, if we create a website using iWeb. Are there any private application which we can use them in same iWeb. Can we interact with our friends by the site created by iWeb.
    Thanks

For interacting with friends, it's probably better to create a free, web-based "social networking" site here:
    http://about.ning.com/product.php
...and hyperlink to it from your iWeb site.

  • Adding a guest book to an iweb created site and problems with counter

Hi, can anyone tell me if it's possible to add a guest book to a website created on iweb? I can find the html to insert, but can't find out how to insert it on the page.
Also, I have tried adding the counter to see how many visitors I have, but it does not show up when the site is published.
    Thanks very much, in advance.

  • Guest Book or other templates

Are there any other templates available from Apple or others?
I'm really looking for a way to add a guest book. Any suggestions on that?

You can use iComment which is a really awsome App made by Chad Brantly, Alias C. Brantly It's a app which helps you put a comments feature into your blog with the help of a Halso Scan account http://haloscan.com

  • Embedding a Guest Book onto an iWeb Page?

I've seen a few people using Guest Map with it in a frame on their iWeb site. I'd like to do the same thing but with my Guest Book. Is it possible and does anyone know how?

    Yes, you can do this:
Add a textbox to the page you want it on. I think in your case, it will have to be 600 px wide. Put some unique text into the page, eg GUESTBOOKCODE. Publish. Go to the html page, open it in textedit. Replace GUESTBOOKCODE with this:
    <!--<iframe><a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://two.guestbook.de/gb.cgi?gid=855839&prot=ryxoeb">http://two.guestbo ok.de/gb.cgi?gid=855839&prot=ryxoeb</a></iframe>-->
(Leave out the <!-- and the --> from the start and end of the above text).
Save the file. Open it to test. Hopefully it should now open within the page.
There is an article on my site about integrating a guestmap - the principles outlined there apply in this case.

  • Re:  Creating comments page or guest book for our wedding website on iweb?

My fiance and I are using iweb to let our wedding guests know about the location of our wedding, things to do, directions, etc. We would like to create a sort of guest book, or comments page, where our guests can send us a message via our website. Is this possible to do in iweb? If so, can someone let me know what the best and easiest way would be to do so? Thanks!

You can also add a free comments page from www.smartgb.com
So far it has worked great with two websites that I have created. You can embed them right into your website. Check out these sites to see how they work on the websites I created:
    www.tuckermcelhaney.com
    www.olsenbrothers.us
    Hope this helps.

  • Guest-book

Does anyone know how to insert a guest-book or something similar.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
a possibility is to use Bravenet’s Guestbook by linking to it with an external hyperlink or embedding it with an iframe.

  • Guest Book or Comment Page?

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but how do you do a guestbook page?

I use a free guest book by UltraGuest.com and put a text and object link to it in my site. Visitors who click on it get taken to the guest book provider, fill it out and I get an email notifying me of the entry. Visitors can view other entries. Just create a free account, setup the appearance and then put in a text link to it on your site.

  • Guest book html code

    Hi everyone,
    Widget? Html Code?
    Thanks in Advance

The only way currently would be to have the visitor fill in a form and then you add the entry manually in Muse. You could use web apps in Business Catalyst but that would be quite expensive to simply have a guest book.

  • Easy to implement Guest book?

    Hi
I am building a wedding website for a couple of friends of
mine. I want to implement an online guest book for them. I need it
to be very simple as I have no scripting experience. Any
    suggestions would be most welcome.
    Thank you.

How easy/hard is the implementation? How long did it take to go live? How
easy is it to link to ERP systems (we use PeopleSoft and Oracle)?

  • Blog versus guest book

    Hello,
a client of mine sent me this link
    http://www.camilleallen.com/id23.htm
asking if I could add something similar to their website so users
could vote for their favortie of her products.
I have never create a guest book but I have not come across
many guest books either which makes me wonder if they are still
commonly used or have they been replaced by the blog? I have also
never created a blog but I have read many and constantly come
    across blogs.
What is the difference between blog and guest book and is
blog a better way to go?
    I appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks Shontelle

A guestbook and a blog are two completely different things. A
    blog is a web
journal, usually written by one person who posts entries
    frequently, usually
the length of a newspaper column or article. A guestbook is
    just what it
sounds like, a place for many different people to leave their
    name and a
    short comment.
Guestbooks aren't used much because they are open invitations
    for
    spam/advertisements/nonsense.
If your client really wants a guestbook, I'd explain to her
    that she'll need
to monitor it daily and remove bad entries.
