Guest not listed in running_pool but visible in vm manager

hi folks
ver=2.2.1
i have created a HVM using an iso file which i copied to iso_pool
it created fine and now its sitting there under vm manager which can control it perfectly
but i cannot find the machine from dom0 anywhere, i was expecting to find its dir & vm.cfg under running pool but its not there
i need to use xm commands to control the guest - but i cannot do that if i cannot find its cfg file
where is it???

Files not displaying on desktop but visible in Spotlight

Hi,
Im running OS X 10.4.7 with all of the latest updates installed. I have this problem where I save files to my desktop but they do not come up. When I search for them in spotlight, they are found and listed as being on the desktop. When I then drag them to the desktop, they appear. Also, when I put files in the trash, I try to delete them and the trash makes the noise but the files remain in there. They dont seem to disappear until I restart my computer. I have tried repairing permissions a number of times but it doesnt mention any permissions as needing repair.
Help please? Im assuming this is a OSX bug but dont have it on any of my other macs.

MacBook 2.0 Ghz 1 gig ram. Mac OS X (10.4.7) Boot Camp 1.1 running WinXP SP2

I dont know what haxies are and am not running any themes. Just running standard Mac OS X.
I deleted the trash from the dock, heard the sound. The icon was still a full bin so I open the trash and saw the three files... when I then mouse clicked on the files, they disappeared and after doing the last one, the icon changed to empty bin. Similar thing happened when I dragged files from spotlight onto desktop, as soon as the files were above the desktop from the spotlight screen, they appeared.

Email account stopped syncing. Not listed in settings, but won't let me add account

My main email account (gmail) stopped working on my ipad last week. It doesn't sync--no incoming or outgoing--and I get an " IMAP error" pointing me to account settings to verify login info, but the account isn't listed there for me to check settings or to delete..
When I try to add the account, it says that it IS already on my ipad. I have 3 other gmail accounts on this device and they all work fine. But with my primary account not working, the ipad is nearly useless!
The only solutions I can find online say to verify settings or delete / re-add account, but no can do.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Can i restore my iPhone to a previous backup not listed in iTunes but is in my mobile sync folder?

my backup/restore went wrong yesterday and a second backup was taken but that was only half of the info on my iphone. Can i use a previous backup or does itunes overide them to the newest version. I have read that the mobilesync folder in Library stores previous backups which i have found but i dont know what to do with the file now. Any help??? I really need my notes and previous sms messages that arent on the most recent backup but on the previous one

Again, iTunes only keeps one normal backup, per device. Any other backups listed are backups created from restore points. These are time/date stamped & are not overwritten.

External Drive not mounting on Desktop but visible on sidebar

I have an external drive Iomega 1T that appears on the destop on Snow Leopard and all is perfect with it, but not showing on the destop in Lion (installed on another internal), it shows up on the sidebar and can access it from there without issues. Disk utilities shows it and can repair permissions and all but can't mount on desktop, my only option there is to unmount it, but is not even showing up on desktop to unmount it.
Do I need to reformat it to mount on desktop? Any help is appreciated.

A little bit, yes. What got me a little confused was that all of my 3 internal drives showed up, and I thought that by selecting it to appear on the sidebar would be visible on the desktop. Thanks again, Lion is very snappy on my early 2008 8 core 2.8, like having a new Mac .

I check PACKNO field of table ESKN with SE11 and find out that ESKN-PACKNO has a check table which is ESLH, also field PACKNO
But !!!!
I cannot find any PACKNO values inside table ESKN with PACKNO inside table ESLH.
It should that every PACKNO inside ESKN is registered inside ESLH table. Right ?

It's yes from MM point of view, which is ESSR-LBLINI --> ESKN-PACKNO
but BIG NO for abapers or somebody who understand the meaning of check table.
If you use t-code SE11 and type ESKN, you will see that ESKN-PACKNO check table is not ESSR-LBLNI.

Movie not listed in Movies but is in Recently Added.

I added a movie into my iTunes but it didn't show in the movies tab, but showed in the recently added.
Any ideas?

OK... I've figured out a fix somehow. This is what I did:
a) double clicked on the Recently Added playlist so that it opens up in its own window.
b) in the main library window, I selected the movies folder.
c) dragged the movies one by one from Recently Added into the Movies folder.
d) they now all appear in Movies.
e) need to make sure the Video Kind is Movies prior to doing this.
I tried a bunch of different things including reimporting. File menu import, double clicking the files. They were clearly imported, but did not appear in the Movies folder.

Remote Desktop not listed in Applications, but installation says it's already installed

When I try to install Apple Remote Desktop, I get a message that says a more current version is already installed. I look in Applications and see no reference to Remote Desktop.
1) Does Max OS X Lion 10.7.3 come with Remote Desktop installed, as some documentation suggests?
2) If so, where is it?

Each Mail I receive shows "To:" not listed as me but another person

I have "Jane" in my address book. When I receive an email from anyone, in the header is displayed who the email is from, the subject, the date and then "To:" However, the "To:" where you would expect my name to be is listed is listed as "Jane", this individual in my address book. I have no rule set up to send all email to Jane, so I am wondering how in the world do I correct this and is "Jane" receiving all of my email too?.

go to mail>preferences>accounts>account information and look into your email adress field: is your email address showing or that of jane? if that of jane, then key in your email address
and just to make sure, go to your Address Book, select your card, then go to Card>Make this My Card. If you can select Make this My Card then select, if it is greyed out then all good.

Pavilion dv7 6100 HP TrueVision HD webcam not detected in software but present in dev. manager

I have a problem with my dv7 6100er notebook on Win7. Camera TrueVision HD is not detected in YouCam or skype or device&printers, but in device manager it determined and show that work fine. TrueVision HD camera drivers contains two files: usbvideo.sys and ksthunk.sys. What I tried: delete TrueVisionHD webcam from dev. manager and reinstall it, install default Microsoft usb camera diver, uninstall and install YouCam (Virtual camera driver of YouCam also unistall and install). No result. And also lamp in the camera does not light up never.
What I can also to do? Thanks.

I see truevisionHD camera in my dev. mamager. Just in case I checked webcam connector. No result.

Printer not listed in MS Publisher 2007 but is with MS Word 2007

I have the HP Officejet Pro 8600 plus and when I went to print a MS Pulisher doc, the printer is not listed in Publisher, but it is listed with MS Word and I can print a Word doc. I have MS Office Suite and MS Publisher was included with it.

Messages not listed in SOSB

I would like to know in which cases the emails will be stored in SOST.
The issue is, we have an output type with transmission medium 5(External send) and dispatch time 3 ( send with application own transaction).This output type is processed using a z-program for a sales order. Email is successfully sent to the customer but not listed in SOST.
But, when the same output type is processed in VA02 transaction, with transmission medium 5 (External send) and dispatch time 4 '( Send immediately (when saving the application))', email is sent as well as listed in SOST.
Could you please clarify?

I couldn't really figure out the problem since we cannot test the external send in test sytems.The z program also using the standard function module
WFMC_MESSAGES_PROCESS
to process the output types. Any idea why it is not listed in SOST but mail sent successfully to the customer.

You'll can try to sign in with the ID they were purchased under in Settings > iTunes and App store and downlaod them. If not, you'll have to purchase them under the new ID.

App. automatically launches, but not listed in accounts/startup items

I have a pesky application which automatically launches on start-up, yet it's not listed in accounts/startup items. It's called Microtek scanner finder. I seem to remember it started doing it when I originally got the scanner and installed software, and although it's always niggled I didn't mind when I was using the scanner. However, I'm not using the scanner anymore so want to be rid of it in my dock. Where the heck is it coming from? I don't want to chuck all the software as there may be an occasion where I need to scan a transparency, when I'll need to get the old scanner down from the loft... any ideas? It definitely launches as there is a little black triangle beneath the icon in the dock. If I quit it, it disappears but is back there again on another start-up grrrrr.

Hi, Kathykate. I have a similar Epson Scanner Monitor application that starts up each time I restart my computer. (Mine does appear in Sys Prefs > Accounts > my account > Startup Items, so I could delete it from there if I wanted to.) It runs all the time in the background, using a tiny amount of CPU and memory, and it has no user interface at all: If I quit it, nothing visibly changes, and if I open it again, there's no visible sign that it's open (including no icon in the dock for it). Its only function is to detect my Epson Scanner when I plug it in and turn it on. I ignore it the rest of the time, because whether it's running or not has no impact whatsoever on anything I do. I suggest that you take the same attitude toward your Microtek app.

i'tried several usb flash drives even brand new ones, they are visible onder hardware info but they are not on the desktop nor in the finder.
what is wrong and doe anyone has a solution ?

It does not show up in disk utility, its only visible through systeminformation.
When you plug in the USB flash drive and then refresh systeminformation it becomes visible.
To remove it I shut down the computer because I cannot eject the USB device anywhere.
After starting up again when I have removed the flash drive it has gone from the systeminfo USB list.
By the way my USB mouse and keyboard are working fine, I also changed ports of these and they still keep on working so I don't think the USB ports are defect.
I guess it some kind software problem, and because I'm new to Apple I do not know much about it how to solve this.
