GUI Status in Splitter Container

how can we change the standard GUI status that comes in splitter container?

That is not GUI status by the toolbar of the ALV grid. You can customize that (Add custom buttons / delete existing buttons) buttons.
For taking out the buttons, using the IT_EXCLUDING parameter of the SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAy.
For adding buttons, activate the HANDLE_TOOLBAR event and add the buttons in that event. Take a look at the sample program BCALV_GRID_07. You will have to do this individually for each grid.

I read forum blogs and found that splitter container can be used to develop such layout. Can anybody pleae let me know how to do so? As per my understanding first container will have headings ( Past & Future) and second container will hold headings (F1, F2...) as well as data. Since each container has a grid and for each grid we have to pass a fieldcatlog and an internal table how can we display only headings in First conatiner.

solution may exist in theory (only).
I do not know a working solution yet. When ALV was first introduced some 12 or more years ago, the column width was specified as a number of characters ignoring that a proportional font will not match this.
With introduction of the grid, the scaling is free and can be done in the GUI on a (display) pixel base. I tried a lot with dynamic scaling of containers and had to learn that there is still a big optimizing potential for the SAP infrastructure.
Right now it seems as the architects try to get everything working as well on (old-style) SAP GUI, also WEB GUI, also java-based web services. The downside is that looking at it from the distance it is nice, going into the details, most (or much) is missing, undocumented or not working properly.
For the time being you may replace detailed functionality by an impressive background picture

Storage area for GUI status Z_FI_UPLOAD_FIDOC 100 too small

Hi,
I have created a program for uploading and posting open items aso. I've gathered items in an internal tables and tried to display on ALV list with tree for correct and incorrect items. When table contains more than 1000 items ( not all in one document but 2 items for every single doc), ALV displays but after awhile I get the error message 'Storage area for GUI status Z_FI_UPLOAD_FIDOC 100 too small' and next step process leaves the program to initial SAP screen without dump. Error doesn't occur when item lines less than 1000. The detailed message is:

Diagnosis
The memory area of the basis software for the GUI status is too small for the requested status. The following is stored in this area:
Administration information in fixed length
Menu structure, F keys and push buttons of a status
The texts of the complete interface (not just of the status)
The active and the requested Excluding list (SET PF-STATUS... EXCLUDING ...).
System Response
Termination as presumably the system is unable to continue processing.
Procedure
A short-term solution might consist of leaving off the EXCLUDING for the current SET PF-STATUS...
Clear up the interface affected: in the Menu Painter (Transaction SE41), choose Utilities -> Unused objects.
If it is an interface with a large number of statuses, it may be possible to take the interface apart.
This is often possible for interfaces belonging to a function group that supplies GUI statuses for multiple programs (these programs call up function modules of the group that mainly contain a SET PF-STATUS command).
If the above solutions will not work, your system administrator will have to enlarge the profile parameter "ztta/cua_area".
Note that profile parameter "ztta/short_area" must be at least 6 times as large as "ztta/cua_area".+
There is no unused object in my GUI. Is it connecting with number of items or should I ask system admin to enlarge mentioned parameters?

Splitter container titles

hi,
I have a splitter container that generates a variable amount of rows depending on the users requirements.
Each container will then contain either an ALV grid, HTML Viewer or some other type of GUI control.
What I would like to do is have a title in each splitter container visible on the screen.
Is this possible ?

Hi Rob,
All the examples I could find using the FM were all ALV.
However, it did point me in the direction of the class CL_DD_DOCUMENT.
I now split each conainer into a small top area and a large main area. The main area copes with the HTML_VIEWERS, ALV, Calendars etc.
I use the small top area for a CL_DD_DOCUMENT which I can add a text to which appears a nice title.

How to get GUI Status(Push Buttons) in ALV Report

Hi Friends
I have a requirement in a way that:
Once selection-screen was processed,an ALV report has to come and above the ALV List,I need a custom GUI Status(4 Push Button) with Push Buttons Logic.
Once I had clicks on thesse push button,I need to display one more ALV List and above this List,again I need a custom GUI Status(2 Push Buttons) with Push Buttons Logic.
Can anyone throw some light how we can achieve this.

I need the separator lines in the menu items like it is seen in std transactions

Goto Your GUI status.click on your MENU bar.
under the menu bar you will have your own menu items.
where ever you want separator line do the following way.
you will have 2 columns under menu bar
1) code
2) text.
under code dont put anything.
but under text column you put dashes and enter or select right click there and choose separator line.
you will get separator line.
activate and run the ztcode.you will get .
code text

How to display 3 alv with top-of-page using splitter container

Hi,
I want to display 3 different alv in a single container corresponding to the 3 check boxes on selection screen.
i.e.
If user selects 1 check box only one alv should be displayed, if 2 checkboxes selected by user 2 alv should be displayed and same for 3.
I cannot use 3 different containers bcoz if second checkbox is not selected then that place remains blank. So I am using single container and using splitter container dividing it into the no of rows corresponding to the no. of checkboxs selected by user.
Now I also want to display top-of-page for each alv. Please guide me how to achieve this.

How to translate function codes from GUI-status into other language ?

Hello experts,
I've a programm called mrs - multi resource scheduling.
This programm has texts in english and german.
Now I want to translate the text also in italian.
When I opne the programm in se80, in path GUI-status
there are the ui-elements (Function codes).
When I open them in english, I get the texts in english, when
I open them in german , I get the texts in german.
Openeing in italian shows me the english texts.
Changing them into italian I get message:
You can only maintain the object in modification
lang. German (DE) in this system
If I proceed in translating the german text in italian, I get italian texts instead of german.
Some ideas ?

Add Button to GUI STATUS Application toolbar

Hi,
I have to add a button in the application toolbar of a gui status. I have done that many times before, but I never got into trouble like this time....
When I open the Gui status and the tree for the application toolbar, I can see already set buttons. When I now click on change (a modification warning comes) and press the plus-icon, it is possible to enter a new item. But everything I´m typing, I get the message Function code XXXX has not been assigned to a function key. I have never got this before....
When I now go to SE41 and enter a new function key, I can´t use it either afterwards as a button in the application toolbar.
In the tree of the function keys, I can´t change anything...
What can I do here? The program name is SAPMZLCG, so it has been modified sometimes. But how can I change the GUI STATUS now to add a new button?

You need to goto the application toolbar and the add your text to the items and click below the text you will get one popup which will ask for static text and dynamic text. select statictext and then add all the information like text name and if you want to add an icon you can do it aswell. the there will be another popup for fuction attributes where you will be able to find some options loke fuction types and reaction need to select all that and then click on the ok button and save check and activate the same and after that activate and check whether the button is visible or not. once the button is visible then you need to check for the ok_code and sy_ucomm and then insert the fuctionality of the button.
I hope this might solve your problem.

Gui status (AT USER-COMMAND) trigger at first

I wrote a basic list shown below.
In it , AT USER-COMMAND and AT LINE-SELECTION events are used all.
when i double click on line in the list, I think the at line-selection should be trigger at first. but in fact ,the AT USER-COMMAND trigger.
and the sy-ucomm get the first button value in the GUI-STATUS BAR(There's only one button on it).
how can i solve it .
any answers should be appreciated.

Any ideas for GUI status manipulation?

Hi All,
I have a requirement with me, which I'm not able to figure out how to achieve. Here goes:
There's a transaction in ERP system (CO11N) which was originally not designed (it seems) to be used with CALL TRANSACTION kind of way. But now a requirement is to call it that way... I guess I can do that anyway by passing the SET PARAMETER for the key input fields...
But there's also another requirement that when calling the transaction this way, make sure two of the application toolbar buttons should be disabled. And they should be enabled when the transaction is called directly from the command bar (as /nCO11N).
I don't have any set/get parameters to check for and disable/enable the GUI status Fcodes with it...
Can someone please give me some pointers as to how this can be achieved?

I thought of this technique as well... But then figured that using this 'export to memory' technique is not a very recommended way...
Thus I want to keep this way as a last resort for the time being... But would like to know if there is any better way to achieve the same effect without using the shared memory sort of technique.

OSS Note 1401249 - Issue in GUI status

Hi ,
As per 1401249 Note instructions, i need to add a new push button 'Display Income Levy Data', in the standard report HIECILC0 .
In SE41 , I am giving the program name HIECILC0 and Status 'ALV', when I click on Change button, I see 'Modify Status ALV in program HIECILC0' , where as in the Note instructions screen shot it is given as 'Maintain Status ALV in program HIECILC0'.
Have anyone faced this issue before, why is it 'Modify Status ALV in program HIECILC0' instead of 'Maintain Status ALV in program HIECILC0'.
I am not able follow the same steps given in the Note instruction because of this issue.
Please let me know how to proceed with this.

Upload / download gui-status/dynpro when function group

I'm coding a program where I can download and upload reports and module pools but I tried to do the same with function groups and I found It is different to upload dynpro and gui staus when the objet to generate is a function group.
Could anyone help me a little in order to complete and finish this issue?
Below is shown the routines I coding in order to achive that:
For gui-status uploading I use:

Problem in GUI status

hi folks ,
i have created the GUI status for the program .. when i go on the out put screen i am not able to go back or cancel or exit , though i have created the GUI status and activated it as well .
my program is designed to display the user action on screen and it displays the value in the text field which can only accept output no inputs .
plz advice .

Make sure that the function codes in the GUI status are written in capital letters only.Similarly in the PAI of the screen,in the case statement,the function codes have to be written in capital letters.I hope you have written the user-commands as the functionality has to be coded by the developer when he makes the GUI.

Problem in GUI status of ALV Grid

Hello All Experts,
I have a following issue.
Am displaying a report using   REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. I have copied the GUI status from standard GUI   STANDARD_FULLSCREEN. Now when i dispaly the report i get select all ICON just before my first column(Marked in red below). i do not need this icon, i have checked in my GUI status also this icon does not exist. can you please help me how to remove this icon.
