  • Exception condition "Logsys for GUID changed"

Hi all, I am working in SRM 4.0 with a cliente "DSR", in the past I had a backend system with name "SWD" and now I want to create a connection between "DSR" and "SWR" (SWR is a copy from backend system SWD).
I do all configuration of users, RFC connections, etc...
But when I run reports for product categories reply, I have this error: Exception condition "Logsys for GUID changed" in Inbound queue in SRM.
I have to run transaction BDLS in backend? in this case SWR or in SRM system??
    Please this is urgent....
    Thanks in advance
    Rosa

yr sys names are somewhat confusing
so I use simple naming convention
You have set up srmDEV and eccDEV
it's working fine and now you want to set up QA
    i.e. srmQA and eccQA
you can not copy completely srmDEV to srmQA like ecc.
because when you download cust objects (eg prod cat) and bus objects (eg matls)
a GUID is created in SRM and one more guid is passed to backend.
Now if you copy srmDEV to srmQA completely with master data (SAP_ALL basis profile for copy)
then this sychronisation of GUIDs is lost and SRM starts giving erroe message which you are getting.
So for SRM copy SAP advises to copy with sap_cust profile
    establish new backend connection
and down load cust objects and bus objects again.
We had faced this issue and worked the mentioned way.

  • Scheduled Program Does NOT Change Times with Guide Changes

When a program is scheduled from the Guide and then the Guide changes the start and end times, the scheduled program times do NOT shift AUTOMATICALLY with the Guide changes. Frequently the Guide program start and end times for a show move a minute, two, or three, sometimes more. The DVR scheduled program times do NOT keep up with these shifted Guide times but stick to the start and end times when scheduled. The DVR will often throw a yellow triangle up on the program indicating a conflict but the only conflict is with the Guide times. The DVR should AUTOMATICALLY shift the start and end times the few minutes and ONLY flag a conflict when the new times for the scheduled program conflict with another scheduled program, NOT with the Guide. This occurs most often on USA, FX, FXX, TBS programs which are frequently 61 or 62 minutes long. It is very frustrating to miss pieces of a recorded program, usually the end, because of these few minute time shifts.

    Hello Venkata,
The components item category is TAE, that means the item category for the header item will be TAQ. Also the pricing will be carried out at the header item level only.
    Now for your query:
The standard item category controls of TAQ will not have any connection between the header & the item level quantities in the delivery. If you change the quantity of the header item in the sales order, the quantity of the compnenets will be automatically adjusted. But this will not happen in the delivery with the normal settings of TAQ.
    Solution:
Go to transaction code VOV7 - select TAQ - double click - In the Bill of Material/Configuration section , there is a field "Create Delivery Group" - select "X - Form delivery group with one delivery date".
Save the settings. Now create a new sales order & then create the delivery & try to change the quantity of the header item, the system will automatically change the quantity of the components. (the system may not change the quantity of the components in the delivery of the old sales order - change it manually)
    With best regards,
    Allabaqsh Patil.

  • The new guide: change just because, STILL CAN'T SEE CURRENT TV REMINDERS!!

WHoever designed the NEW guide SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. WHY DOES IT STILL TAKE a dozen clciks to see a list of reminders OF CURRENT TV STATIONS THAT I HAVE SET A REMINDER FOR, but it's only a REMINDER LIST FOR FUTURE SHOWS?? DO you people actually think that someone watches a TV Commercial?? Only a **bleep** would watch a geico or progressive car insurance commercial a hundred times a day, day in, day out, on almost every channel. I SWITCH CHANNELS WHEN ANY TV COMMERCIAL COMES ON, and for some reason Verizon refuses to adopt the best thing about Comcast which is: YOU CAN PRESS THE REMINDER BUTTON, SEE A LIST OF ALL THE CURRENT REMINDERS YOU HAVE SELECTED, and simply arrow down to watch another channel until the commercial is done.
It took me 2 1/2 months to familiarize myself with your idiotic, moronic TV Guide, which uses batteries at an outstanding rate, and now everything is changed, why is that? WHoever made that decision should be fired.
The half channel guide now makes it impossible to read whats on the screen EVEN WITH A BIG SCREEN TV. And who cares about hi-def, why in the heck do I want to see the pores on someone's face?
16 clicks to bring up a reminder list, COMCAST DOES IT WITH A SINGLE BUTTON, why is that? Because Verizon doesn't want to be like COmcast?? Everything about Fios and Verizon is just a jumbled mess, too much stuff jammed onto one page, and everything has a similar name, why is that? I have over 6 lbs of Fios junk mail and still get flyers in the mail, most weeks it's multiple flyers of the SAME THING, so don't tell us about saving trees, because first of all there are 400% more trees today than in 1900, and secondly just like COmcast, SAVING A TREE DOESN'T INVOLVE JUNK MAIL.
The new guide is change just for the h*ll of it, and it's just as crappy and hard to use. AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE REMINDER LIST< IT SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE WITH ONE CLICK< AND SHOULD SHOW THE CURRENT, repeat, THE CURRENT LIST OF SHOWS, because we don't watch no stinking commercials.

    TIMBO441,
You have been complaining about reminders for quite awhile.  I have never had Comcast, and don't understand what it is that you mean by reminders.  Since fast access to reminders apparently isn't a feature in any FIOS IMG it is a suggestion for improvement and belongs in http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Share-Your-Ideas-with-Verizon/idb-p/ideas ,
Are you viewing a HDTV?  Most people see a reason for viewing in HD.  I particularly see that as being so for many if not most FIOS TV users.
I haven't seen the IMG 1.9 on SD TV's.  People may see the new color scheme or exact font as poor and others may see it as an improvement.  When I see it at a friend who had the Sneak Preview, the fonts size seemed about the same size to me.  And in one of the threads someone posted all the guide screens, and again they do not appear to be any screens where the font is so small it can't be read even in the SD versions.
The new guide was meant to fix a lot of complaints that people had as well as to add features.   Among the problems addressed
Old screen guide had the last channel cut off by TV's as it was outside the so called Safe margins.
Top line of guide (perhaps on purpose) was completed obscured by info on what channels were being displayed (favorites etc)
Next 3 lines of guide were partially obscured by the small image of the current program
only 1 1/2 hours were displayed
guide didn't fill whole screen on 16x9 TV's
Guide is too dark.  Yes, many complained about that and that led to the new lighter scheme that people now complain about.
    Search to limited
Did they get things wrong.  Almost certainly.
The IMG is also not just about the guide.  Other features added
Native pass-thru.  I.e.. Pass 720p channels as 720, and 1080i as 1080i.  Your already could, if desired pass 480i as 480i/p.
Support eSata external hard drives on newer DVR's.
Support more than one multi-room DVR
Allow more control of multi-room DVR from other STB (and DVR).  Includes starting and deleting recordings
Allow recovery of accidentally deleted recordings
So called program chaptering on DVR recordings
    Parental control improvements

  • IPhone 4s users guide changed

When I first got my iPhone 4s, the users guide included a section on Siri. Now that doesn't appear - it seems to be showing an iPhone 4 users guide. (My wife's 4s never showed the Siri section.) What's going on?

I updated to iOS 8.0.2 - some improvements in this release, folks:
    The CPU manages better the multitude of opened apps and now I encounter less sluggishness;
Improved battery, or so it seems and...
    ... Overall UI improved
Still a lot to do, by the way. I can't wait for  iOS 8.1.
Check out this interesting video: iPhone 4s - iOS 7.1.2 vs iOS 8.0.2

  • How can you tell if guides are locked?

It sure would be nice if I could tell at a glance if my guides are locked. Is this something I've missed?
(Please don't tell me to go to View > Guides > Lock Guides. I know that. I want to know if I can tell Illustrator to display the locking status of the guides in some control panel.)

Selected guides should become light blue when they're selected. My guides are using the default color of cyan and the guide on the right is selected in the image below.
If you have your guides set to the light blue selection inside the Guides Color drop down menu then you won't see a difference because that specific light blue is the color the guide changes to when it's selected. You can also click on the swatch in the Guides and Grids preferences to select any color you want from a color picker.

  • Is there a token for AppVClientConnectionGroup / AppVClientPackage GUID?

    Hi,
maybe a simple question but I can't figure it out. I have a few applications I need to copy a specific INI file to using StartProcess and copy it back afterwards with ExitProcess. It works fine but in the script I manually have to get the localtion of the
VFS for that specific application. An example is '%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS\3ACF30AF-12F8-41B5-9637-D66700DF111A\ProgramFilesX86\<name of the application>. Ofcourse with every application the GUID changes. As I always create a new package,
even for an update, these GUIDS change a lot.
Now I know know I can get PowerShell to retrieve that GUID for me, although I dislike PowerShell for it's execution slowness compared to vbscript for example (and I don't want to discuss that :)). I wonder if there is a token I can use to get the GUID of
package and / or connectiongroup? I currently have the token-list as below, but maybe there are additional tokens?

    OK I hear you.
What might be the easiest way is to create a wrapper for the program that you execute instead of the actual exe.  So when you launch the wrapper, it edits the ini, then runs (with wait) the actual exe, then after the exe exits it revers the ini back.
This is a good use case for exit scripts should be able to run inside the VE.  You should create a suggestion, or if you want to add on I created a post for beefed up scripting (shameless plug found here:
    http://appv.uservoice.com/forums/280448-microsoft-application-virtualization/suggestions/7240266-improve-scripting-options)
When you pass the token to the VBS, does it evaluate as inside path (C:\Program Files) or outside path ('%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\VFS\etc....)?  Just curious, I have only done that once or twice.  I REALLY wish those properties could
be evaluated by some generic API call, or were env variables like 4.6.
Even if you use powershell you can't evaluate the tokens correct?  You just have access to the cmdlets and can 'build' the value of the tokens yourself right?
I want to make sure I'm not doing things the hard way.
mwa.. that's even using more ducttape than just hardcoding the GUID :) Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I'll make a little sub that finds out the actual VFS path. But until then I'll wait for someone to give the hole-grail answer :)

  • ZFS shrink and Storage Array snapshot GUID issues - RFE status

Anyone know where the ZFS team is on the RFE's for:
    zpool shrink (vdev evacuate)
Allowing zpool guid changes so that you can import a zpool that has been Cloned/snapshot (ShadowImage, Snapmirror, etc) on the same host
    Edited by: 892985 on Oct 24, 2011 11:44 AM

Thanks, I am running this Areca 1320 in two other machines and this is the first I am encountering the issue. (hopefully its not the adapter). Nothing seems to want to just die anymore.
Anyhow I noticed these three errors:
errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files:
            <metadata>:<0x14f5d>
            <metadata>:<0x14f5e>
<metadata>:<0x14f5f>Any way for me to correct these? This says metadata, so I am guessing it has something to do with the attributes on the file, like compression etc. So how would I identify which zfs attributes are at issue here? If I can get rid of the three errors I can at least get the array out of the degraded state.

  • Changing name of macro in Background activity

    Hello Experts,
Currenly we are working on SCM 5.1 version.
I am facing one issue. Whenever I changes macro & move to production through transport request & that macro if we used any activity(Background job) in production then the macro name changes to some technical name.
Do we have any SAP notes or something to resolve this issue?
    Thanks & Regards
    Sujay

    Hi Sujay,
We have also faced this issue.
What we have observed is. If you transport a macro, then modify and save it in the destination system and after that you send another transport later on. This problem occurs. We were unable to find a note or solution to this rather than fix it manually.
What we learnt was never to make a macro change in production directly. What happens in that case is, its internal GUID changes and when we transport from another system, the old GUID comes in. However all of background jobs are pointing to the old GUID and hence the mismatch.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Mani Suresh

  • I'm trying to set up the iPad for a person with limited vision.  Is there a setting to keep text, especially in iBooks, from exceeding the width of the screen when zooming?

    A

This is from the iPad User Guide:
Change a book’s appearance: Some books let you change the type size, font, and page color.
Change the font or type size: Tap near the center of a page to display the controls, then tap . Tap Fonts to select a typeface. Some books allow you to change the type size only when iPad is in portrait orientation.
Change the color of the page and text: Tap near the center of the page to display the controls, tap , then tap Theme. This setting applies to all books that support it.
Change the brightness: Tap near the center of a page to display the controls, then tap . If you don’t see , tap first.
Turn justification and hyphenation on or off: Go to Settings > iBooks. PDFs and some books can’t be justified or hyphenated.
(Sorry about the numbers above that were automatically inserted.)
Of course, there's also Settings > General > Accessibility for general large text settings for your iPad.

  • Unable to run XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample

    Hello
I'm facing to a problem with XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample on my Windows 7 x64 machine
I installed Visual Studio Ultimate 2013
    I installed WDK 8.1
I installed WDK 8.1 Test Pack
    I installed everything from this
site and I think that's all what I need for building the sample.
Next I downloaded XPSDrv Driver and Filter Sample from
http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowshardware/XPSDrv-Driver-and-Filter-980d24bc (btw. there is a step-by-step tutorial how to build the sample)
    1. Open the solution file in Visual Studio 2013 (I opened solution C++\XPSDrvSmpl.sln)
    2. Add all non-binary files (usually located in the \install directory of the sample) to the Package project
         a. In the Solution Explorer, right click
Driver Files (HERE IS THE PROBLEM, WHAT IS DRIVER FILES ??? SEE PICTURE BELOW)
         b. Select Add, then click Existing Item
         c. Navigate to the location to which you downloaded the sample, and select all the files in the install directory, or the equivalent set of non-binary files such as INFs, INIs, GPD, PPD files, etc.
         d. Click Add
Look at the picture how does my solution look like:
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

So after I add the InstallPackage, I added all the files in the install folder to the driver files. Than I added all the files of the install folder to the package files in the properties of the driver package. I also added all the dlls of the sample to
the package files. Then I edited the inf file:
Change DriverVer to a new date, because the old one is not working.
    And this under the driverver:
    CatalogFile=xdsmpl.cat
    Add this to each Microsoft.xx sections: {GUID}
    Should look like this:
    [Microsoft.NTx86]
    "XPSDrv Sample Driver" = INSTALL_XDSMPL_FILTERS_PRE_VISTA,{GUID}
    [Microsoft.NTia64]
    "XPSDrv Sample Driver" = INSTALL_XDSMPL_FILTERS_PRE_VISTA,{GUID}
Change the location of the dlls under SourceDisksFiles to 1 or leave it to 2 if you have subfolders for architecures.
So my inf looks like that:

  • Problem sharing media between multiple users on same Mac

My wife and I have an eMac, running Mac OS 10.4.11, with iTunes 9.2.1(4).  We each have separate user accounts.  Previously, I had imported several albums into my iTunes library.  Now, my goal is to be able to share the albums that I had imported with my wife.  Simultaneously, our available hard drive capacity is getting limited, so I decided to put my iTunes media on an external fire wire drive by Iomega.  I followed article HT1449, transferring my media (and, not the other associated library files) and that part, at least, seems to be working fine.  The folder "iTunes media" is now located on a partition of the external drive.  As far as I can tell, both my wife and I have "read and write" permissions for this partition.  Ownership of the partition volume is "ignored".
Now, as for setting up my wife's iTunes library and linking it up to the iTunes media folder on the external drive, I have followed HT1203 as a guide, changing the path of the media folder to the partition on the external drive.  But, it simply doesn't seem to have any effect.  There are no songs available within iTunes from her user account.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this.  Thank you.

    AndyMcKay wrote:
Chris, won't this copy the music contained in the external media folder, to the media folder under his wife's account?
They are both using the same media folder so iTunes won't copy it anywhere.

  • Hyper-V Server 2012 Migration Questions

    Hello All,
This is my first post here, but I have used these forums many times for information. Sorry in advance for the long post.
I have a few questions regarding migration to Hyper-V server 2012 for my production environment. I have done quite a bit of reading, but I have a few direct questions and I would like to get some direct answers.
My current production environment consists of one PowerEdge 2900 with 2 Xeon X5460 Quad Core 3.16GHz CPUs, 24 GB of RAM and a RAID 10 consisting of 8, 500 GB HDDs for a total of 2TB of storage. I am currently running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise w/ GUI as the
Hyper-V host OS. I have 4 virtual machines all also running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. The 4 virtual machines consist of 1 domain controller, 1 Exchange Server with Exchange 2010 Standard, 1 Server running SharePoint 2010 Enterprise and the remaining server
running IIS with FTP and HTTP.
The network topology is as follows….
Hopefully it is clear from my diagram that the Hyper-V host OS is connected to the same physical network as the domain, but is not a joined to the domain. I set it up this way because I had concerns about connectivity and manageability because the domain
controller is a guest VM. Also, the IIS server is on a completely different physical network independent of the domain.
What I would like to accomplish is the migration of the above environment to Hyper-V Server 2012 as is. I want to keep my existing guest VMs unchanged and running Server 2008 R2 for now as well as keep the existing network topology intact.
I have 3 additional servers in a separate test environment that would be able to serve as temporary storage or whatever is needed for the migration process.
Here are the two main things I would like to accomplish with this migration…
    1. Make the transition from Server 2008 R2 to Hyper-V Server 2012 as a host OS.
    2. Migrate virtual hard disks from .VHD to the new .VHDX format.
All that being said, I have finally come to my questions regarding this process.
First and foremost, I would obviously need to back up my current setup in case something goes horribly wrong during the migration. My question regarding the initial backup is would it be better to do a bare metal backup of the Hyper-V host or should I do
individual backups (bare-metal?) of the Guest VMs from within their operating systems?
Second, since I plan to use Hyper-V Server 2012, I will have to manage the host OS using the RSAT from a domain joined client running Windows 7 Professional. How much of a pain is it going to be to setup RSAT and manage the non-domain joined host from a
domain joined client? Is there a better way without using SCVMM or using Server 2012 w/ a GUI as the host OS?
Third, are there any concerns I should have, precautions I should take or procedures I need to do before, during or after the migration regarding the existing VMs and the new virtualized hardware environment on the same physical host?
Forth, should I use the trial version of SCVMM 2012 SP1 (or another previous version) to perform the migration? What should I be aware of using SCVMM for the migration and then discontinuing its use after the migration is complete and moving to management
    using the RSAT?
Fifth, if I don’t use SCVMM for the migration, what is the best procedure for moving the VMs? Should I just copy the VHDs to a temporary storage location, install Hyper-V server 2012, copy the VHDs back, create new VMs and attach the VHDs or should I use
    the export/import process?
Number six, when is the best time to migrate the VHDs to VHDX format and what would be the best method?
And finally, do I need to worry about USN rollback with a single domain controller? From my reading, this seems to be a point of disagreement. Some people say it could happen while others say it won’t. Is there any point during the migration process where
it could occur either during the copying of VHDs or from the switch to VHDX?
Again, sorry for the long post and thanks for staying with me this far. Any information would be much appreciated

    1) As Jens said below with Windows Server 2012 you can simple copy the configuration files and VHDs from a 2008 R2 server to a 2012 server and import them - they one caveat to this is that any vlan configuration is lost and you have to simply re-create it.
Optionally you can also export the virtual machines from Windows Server 2008 R2 and then import them on Windows Server 2012.
    2) Remote management in a workgroup does have some caveat's associated with it - take a look at
http://blogs.technet.com/b/jhoward/archive/2009/08/07/hvremote-refresh.aspx.  Generally I would recommend joining the Hyper-V management operating system to the domain - not just because of these issues but for a number of other features to work properly
    (see below)
    3) I always recommend validating the hardware and environment after the installation before migrating critical workloads to it - testing networking, backup etc... to make sure they function as expected.  Also ensure that you upgrade the integration
components in the VM's after the migration.
    4) That is an option - though you might find you like SCVMM
    5) Recreating VM's using existing VHD's has some issues for example the BIOS GUID changes, all of the NIC's are re-plug and played etc... When possible copying the configuration or using export is much better.
    6) The sooner the better - VHDx has a number of significant advantages, you can do the migration using the Hyper-V manager UI (edit disk) or via powershell with Convert-VHD.  Do keep in mind that during the conversation you need 2x the space (for the
    original and the new VHDx).
    7) In the past you could get into trouble if you for example snapshotted an AD virtual machine and than reverted it - taking one offline and then brining it back online was never a problem.  In Windows Server 2012 we addressed this with a feature called
    generation ID's.
Domain considerations...  A few things to keep in mind regarding the choice to not domain join the Hyper-V server.
    - You can't live migrate virtual machines
    - You can't utilize Hyper-V over SMB
    - Management is more difficult and less secure

  • SQL Server Agent Job Duration monitor alerts incorrectly

As per SQL Server MP guide, changes in Dec 2007 update : Fixed a script that was resulting in invalid alerts being generated from the agent job's Job Duration monitor.
In my SCOM 2012 environment on few SQL servers I'm getting an alert from Job Duration monitor for SQL jobs that have completed well within the defined thresholds. Interestingly this monitor then resets on its own(The monitor has been initialized for
the first time or it has exited maintenance mode) and immediately turns critical again. I do not see any pattern around these state changes. These are weekly jobs, however the Job Duration monitor continues to alert for these specific jobs 10-15 times a day.
This is creating unnecessary noise in the environment.
Is anyone else facing this issue? I know I can disable this default monitor and create my own monitor. However I want to check if this is a known bug in this SQL MP(version 6.4.1.0).
Note : I'm aware about an updated MP version 6.5.1.0, however the release note doesn't specify if it fixes this issue.
    Thanks,
    Harry
    Thanks, Harry :-)

Resolution: The issue was that the SCOM Agent was getting restarted repeatedly. Post restart health calculation was done again and the SQL Job duration monitors would reset and generate new alerts.
There is a recovery configured in an aggregate monitor to restart the SCOM Agent if Handle Count/Private Bytes of Health Service/Monitoring Host breach a set threshold. I had to create an override to change the thresholds for all Health Service/Monitoring
Host and exclude the recovery on Physical servers.
If there are large number of workflow on an SCOM Agent due to multiple MP(SQL, HP, etc.), the increase in Handle Count/Private Bytes is usual.
    Thanks, Harry :-)

  • TUTORIAL: Previously working effects now missing? Here's the fix...

WARNING: This process involves editing the Windows registry, so if you are squeamish about that sort of thing, do not attempt this. I'm not responsible for broken computers, hurt feelings, or terrified household pets.
I've ocassionally run into an issue since CS4 where certain plugins/effects would spontaneously cease loading in Premiere Pro and functioning, and it apparently continues to affect CS5. This happened on three total different computers, so I'm not sure what the underlying cause is. There was no clear reason why this would happen: I'd use the effect one day, come back the next and load my project, and the effects would be reported as "missing" upon project load:
This doesn't happen with the "built-in" effects that ship with Premiere, but it has happened repeatedly with the Cycore effects (copied from the AE plugins directory) or with third-party plugins like those from DigiEffects, Red Giant, Trapcode, etc. After this loading mesage, the instance of the filter would show up in the Effects Control Panel as "Offline Filter" and the filter would have no effect on the clip to which it is applied. This isn't a case of the effect simply not being compatible with Premiere, as they had previously showed up in the Effect bin and could be applied and used, as evidenced by the error pop-up above. Uninstalling and reinstalling the plugins has no effect on correcting the issue. After a bit of hunting around, I finally figured out how to correct the problem--not the underlying cause, which I still cannot pinpoint, but I can at least get the filters/effects/plugins loading and operating again. Note that the following applies to Windows systems; I'm not sure if this affects Macs, and if it does, I have no clue as to how to correct it.
In Explorer, go to the following folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.0. Inside, you will find a file called Plugin Loading.log. This is simply a text file which you can open with Notepad or a similar text editor. In it, you'll find a long list of entries like this:
Anything that says "The plugin was successfully loaded from the registry" was obviously successfully loaded, and therefore able to be used in Premiere. However, upon scrolling through the file, you will see something like this (using the CC Snow example from above):
At some point in the list, the successfully-loaded plugins will stop and the list will change to "The plugin is marked as Ignore, so it will not be loaded." Herein lies the problem and the solution; we need to correct this issue in the registry, since we know from the above example that the plugins are loaded from the registry.
In Windows, click the Start button/orb, and select Run; in the panel that appear, type in regedit. This will launch the Registry Editor. A good safety precaution before going any further is to select File > Export and save your ENTIRE registry by selecting the All radio button. Pick a location and back it up; it may take a few moments. This is important to do if you're not familiar with editing the registry, because you can pretty quickly toast your OS installation if you poke at animals you shouldn't. You've been warned.
Navigate to the following key in the Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.0\PluginCache.64\en_US. Here, you will see a long list of other subkeys, each of which bears the name of a plugin. If you click on one of the keys in the left pane (looks like a folder icon from Explorer), you will see a list of values, their types, and the data they hold in the pane on the right. Using the Plugin Loading.log text file as a guide, compare a plugin that loads with one that doesn't. You'll see the following disparity:
If the "Ignore" value is set as "0" (binary data), the plugin loads; if the "Ignore" value is set as "1," the plugin does not load. Based on this information, the solution should be apparent:
Using the Plugin Loading.log text file as a guide, change this data for any "Ignore" value set to "1." An important note: this does not "enable" effects that wouldn't otherwise work in Premiere Pro anyway. For example, some of the Cycore effects, like Time Blend, Time Blend FX, and Split 2, do not work in Premiere, regardless of how the "Ignore" value is set. If you should happen to change them, Premiere will set the value to "1" the next time you launch the program.
Once you've changed these values (there's no need to save, as the changes are immediately made to the registry), launch Premiere. If you were successfully, nothing interesting will happen--you'll be greeted with no error messages, and your once-missing effects will resume their place and settings on your sequence clips. You can confirm the "fix" by reopening Plugin Loading.log (be sure to have closed this file before relaunching Premiere, as it is simply overwritten each time), and looking for the entries that were previously ignored:
There you have it. Again, I don't know the reason why this happens, but I've been bitten by this oddity numerous times in CS4, and now in CS5. My best guess is that it happens when Premiere crashes during loading (which seems to happen to me) or there is some other "issue" during launch. As a sort of self-defense mechanism, Premiere tells the registry to disable these plugins to ensure a successful load the next time the program is launched, but then they are not automatically re-enabled, and hence the need for this somewhat convoluted fix. Under normal circumstances, I would imagine that relatively few users will ever encounter this issue--but if you do, you now know how to get back to work.

A great set of screen clips & tutorial. But I'm compelled to tell you guys it's even simpler than that.
All you have to do is delete the en_US keys for both the Premiere Pro & After Effects plug-in caches in the registry at:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.5\PluginCache.64\en_US &
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\After Effects\10.5\PluginCache.64\en_US
Of course, have the applications closed prior to deleting the keys. Upon launching the Premiere Pro & After Effects again, both applications will regenerate their cache folders (they'll re-appear) in the registry & you should then see all your installed plug-ins if they are installed in the correct folders & aren't corrupted.
Note that Pr & Ae will take significantly longer to launch as it re-scans all the installed plug-ins again.
If you don't want to dig through the registry, here's a copy of VBscripts to do it for you. Don't see all your plugins? One of the apps choose to ignore your plug-in's without provocation?
...just run these & re-launch the Premiere & After Effects. Enjoy.
