my job profile has been changed in BW where i have to handle like this:
Job Description: Process Chain monitoring for BW info packages. Troubleshooting the problems for Index error, Aggregates errors, Statistics creation, Ensuring complete extraction of Data.
Archiving Job: The job is following the archiving documents. The task is archiving PSA database on regular interval for info packages. Person need to follows the rules for archiving.
Basis Task: The monitoring task includes checking the IGS, SM21, ST22, DB02, RSRT, SOST, SM66. The monitoring includes an hourly monitoring of systems.
Sending reports to the customers.
Futures Task : Monitoring and Maintaining BW systems. Developing information systems in BW for Sales, Purchase and HR from data transfer to data management in BW.
plzz help me what can be issues involved in them or typical errors which may arise in this T codes.
also i was to handle some sort of Basis t codes. plzz help me in this as i have to start work on this early.

Guidance for getting a job

Now I am working on Flash Action Script3.0 in xxxxx company. I want to change the company based on the experience I have gain. But the problem is, when I browse for job openings, the job description contains relavant experience on flex, developping mobile apps along with flash as3.0. From 1 year on words I was working on Flash as3.0 only. I dont know any of them mentioned above. Do I need to learn all these or Can I continue my career with only flash as3.0? Please suggest me. I want to improve my career with good salary.

I guess a lot depends on where you are looking for work. you can certianly continue purely with AS3 but you options would be more limited.
I haven't seen that much demand for Flex, it's certainly a small percentage of the jobs I have seen.
As for mobile this is big area for AS developers at the moment and knowing some wouldn't hurt.
If you want to move and give yourself as much chance as possible I would suggest trying to build demos in a variety of application platforms.
Create a simple mobile app, do some social networking (e.g. a facebook game) and possibly a smiple Flex application and apply for these jobs. 3D demos can really impress as well. you might not have the commercial experience but if you have the demos, come accross well, demonstrating you want to learn these technologies and you know the basics you have a good chance; depending on who else applies.
A good company will realise you have a good grounding in AS and can apply what you know to these new areas. For a good developer moving from web based AS to mobile is not hard a every company should know this. There is a little more to learn for Flex but if you have the time is well spent, however someone looking for a Flex developer might be a little more demanding in terms experience
as a side note I got my first AS3 gig with no flash experience at all. I came from a Java background and a good relationship with Sega and developed the original sonic engine for their playSega website

Applying for a new job but their system won't except my resume

I really hope someone can help me. I am trying to apply for a job. I have a resume that was originally written on a Windows Vista. I was able to get it saved on to my iMAC but now that I try to use it with my future empolyer's system it wont upload due to formatting. I thought making changes to file sharing may correct it but no luck. How do I change the format so it will be excepted? Any ideas?? Thanks Apple land!!!

Basic Guidance for a new Mac User

How do I delete an entire application that was downloaded and then installed via the downloaded installer...just move to the trash and empty? I'm talking about the downloaded file as well as the application in its entirety.
If I installed Windows 7 via Boot Camp...can I restore my OS X back to factory specs without affecting the 7 side?

You can drag an app to the trash to delete it. It may have created some pref files also. These will need to be manually located and deleted (unless the software comes with an uninstall option).
Using the bootcamp assistant, you can easily remove the bootcamp partition and restore the hard drive back to normal without affecting the mac installation.

Creating a new job and position prompts customizing request...

Dear All,
        I created a Job and Position through PP01 transaction. I am facing 2 issues while doing so...
1. System prompts for Customizing request when i try to save the new entry.
    What table/settings do i need to maintain for turning of the customizing request promptings.
2. Once i save the entries(after entering some dummy customizing requests), when i check the
    HRP1000 table for the new jobs and positions... The table entry shows 2 records for each Job and
    position. One entry with Plan version '.:' and another with active Plan version '1'.
    I need to have just one entry in HRP1000 table for each job/position with ACTIVE plan version.
   I checked T77S0 table, it has active plan version maintained against the PLOGI-PLOGI entry.
   Please let me know what table i need to maintain to handle my requirement.

Hi Nanda,
When you create new job or position in sandbox system it will not ask for the request number,since you generally dont transport the objects from sandbox to test system.
When you create a new job or position in development system, it will always ask for request number. This is because, in most of the cases, you need to transport the job and position to test system and then to production system.
Without a customizing request you wont be able to transport those changes to next system.

Outgoing Emails Denied as Spam - Keeping me from finding a new job

I have been trying to send a couple of emails to apply for a new job (having been unemployed for almost 2 years) and now these emails are getting rejected as being outgoing spam. Both emails are direct to recruiters with my resume attached and a link in the message body to my portfolio. I tried sending them as Verizon instructed to [email protected] but that did nothing.
How an I supposed to find a new job if Verizon rejects my emails applying directly to companies and recruiters?? This is ridiculous on Verizons part. What is the solution??

Try going to www.isnotspam.com and sending your email to them. they will identify any red flags, and tell you what you can change to make your message go through without getting bounced back.

Printer is overprinting old jobs on top of new jobs. Using a Mac with OSx and a HP photosmart for over a year. this just started happening.

RReset printing system again and the restart in Safe Mode . This will clear some caches,to do this hold down the Shift key when you hear the startup tone until a progress bar appears, after it has fully booted restart normally and add the printer.

New job not scheduling itself for the future.

In TES 5.3.1, we are trying to add a new job group, however when I finish creating the new group and check the 'History' tab, it is not showing the expected scheduled run for tomorrow.
When i save the group, it prompts me for the effective date of the job, and i pick tomorrow, but it never shows the schedule for tomorrow on History? Bug?

Then that is a good indication you are running low on diskspace. Please have your DBA/Storage team check if there are any diskspace issues on your DB server.

Ideas for a new SSAS Project

Hi,
I have jus started a new job in a debt collection company and one of the things they said they where looking for was for me to create something that would allow them to know the probability of collecting from a debtor dependent on different dimensions i.e.
area of the UK they live in, age, gender, maital status etc. and also future projections etc.
I would like to produce an OLAP Cube to perform this because I havnt done one for a few years now and forgetting my skills.
Can anybody help me with any ideas and starting points, any direction at all would be welcomed greatly.

How to create a jobsteps for a new user to run a report on portal

Hello Experts,
Is there any program that automatically creates a jobsteps for the new users for
a role??
My company BW roles are mapped with R/3. so whenever a new user is created in a R/3 role
it comes and maps with BW Role and creates that users automatically in BW.
Now the problem is if any new users are created in r/3 and mapped with BW. the report
fails to run for the new users unless and until they really login in to the system.
For ex: I have 5 new users which are created in R/3 and properly mapped with BW. But
report fails to runs for the new users.
ERROR: Jobs step fails for the User X
Is there any programe that automatically creates a jobsteps for the new users??
Please advice.

Questions on installtion and ram please help! Pc tech with new Job!

Im a Pc tech with a new job Im am in charg with a new Mac network . So Im great at PC.s just fuzzy on Macs.
Here is my problem.
IMac 17" flat panel.
New Hard drive , new cable (IDE), Tryed to install New OS ( just OS X) got throught the first 5 mins in the installer , the it stoped and told me that it had encountered an error and to restart.
Now I get an error 139 installer has unexspetanly stopped.
Press return to reboot.
Now pressing return never works have to hold start button to reboot.
Ran hardware test of cd Im gettting a a mem_/2/4 error.
I assusm that is a bad stick of memory? There is only 1 stick in there.
I belive that its using pc133 256meg for memory.
I have put a few pc133 sticks in the mac but none will work eather get a bad memory beep or no display .
Does it have to mac memory or special latency ?
Have opened the firmware and reset -all -nvram and defaults
Have remove Air Port card and all other stuff , onlly keyboard and mouse and power cord .
Does that sound right? If you need more info let me know.
Any other clues?
Any book that an tech like me (6 years fixing pcs) should read for macs? thanks for all your help in advance.

Another thing to consider, a free to use download (donationware) is
MacTracker; a small data base of Apple and Macintosh product specs.
If you don't already have it, see: http://www.mactracker.ca to download.
Some online manual sites had unauthorized copies of protected works
and those sites were pulled from the internet; but they had service
manuals in pdf for many models of computers. You may be able to get
the official versions of pdf manuals through a subscription service for
an annual fee; this may require searching and asking questions. It may
also require an IT budget you may not have, to get a Mac-only archive.
At one point I was given some technical support information to trouble-
shoot my own ailing under warranty Apple computer(s) and the information
is very helpful, when you have a need for the details they contain.
I was careful to use them for non-invasive troubleshooting only.
One older online source appears to have ftp:// links, but I was never
able to make them work. The site may not have valid content or could
be somehow blocked; so if you find such a site by searching for older
Apple Manuals online, it may not yield anything. Or it may be illegal.
Some of the low-end RAM chips can be problematic; I found at least
one to add major issues in my iMacG4 and made it hard to diagnose
another major hardware problem. Tossing the cheaper RAM (at retail
was higher cost than decent RAM) was the best thing; got a better one.
There should be a little information on boot ROM (firmware) per model in
the MacTracker database you can use offline. You may need to know more
about the use of Open Firmware in Macs. Hope this helps some.
PS: for a time, you could get tech manuals on CD from places
such as http://www.applerescue.com/ (they have OS installers
on disc for sale there, primarily) and also a search of the web
may get you a source of tech books for repair service.

How to create a portlet for a new web page?

I create a web page "A" in the remote server and have another page "B" which have a button in it. And when push the button in page "B", I want to use PRC to add a new portlet object linking to page "A" to portal. How should I do this?
I know it's possible to add a new portlet template using IRemoteSession.GetPortletTemplateManager().CreatePortletTemplate(intparentFolderID, intwebServiceID), but how should I get the webServiceID while it haven't been created for the page "A". Must I create the web service in the portal server by hand? Is there any programmatic method to create a new web service by PRC? Or if there are some other methods to create a portlet for a new page without creating webservice, that would be a prefer.

I Got the Error When I Click on "start Data Collection" After Execution of the Program As Follows
"Used RFC destination :SLD_NUC"
"RFC call failed : Error opening an RFC connection"
"Batch job not scheduled"
All Other Are Success Like Data Collection ......

How to initialize delta for a new data target

Hi
I have an ODS from which there are several other targets getting updated thru an export datasource. The delta initialization happend some 6 months back. I now have a new ODS into which i need to load the data from the original ODS. How can i initialise the delta to my new target without changing the delta initialization of the other targets and continue the delta for all of them together?
can i use the same initialization for my new target??
If i do a full update and then a initialise w/o data transfer, will the further delta bring the data from the correct point, is there a possiblity of data loss??

Hi Ajay,
the steps are as follows.
1 delete the initialization. open infopackage >> menu scheduler >> Initialization options for source systems >> delete the request thats there.
2. Now go to the Update tab of the infopack >> select option Initialize Delta process >> check the option initialize without Data transfer
3. Goto Schedule tab and start the job.
here the data targets will be all the targets the infopack loads.
4. Create a new infopack
5. goto Data targets tab >> select data targets >> put a check on your new ODS/Cube
6. Goto Update tab >> select the option Full update
7. goto menu Scheduler >> select Repair full request >> put a check on Indicate request as Repair Request >> hit OK
8. Goto schedule tab >> start the job.
9. Continue with the existing Delta infopack that was load the old ODS/Cubes and make sure your new ODS/Cube is also cheked for the delta.

How do i increase my key ID +1 for every new user

what iam trying to do is that for every new user that register on my app will get a key id.. that is +1 higher then the old highest id.. i have done this i JavaDB but in mysql i get an exception

You need an 'Identity' column. In MySQL, you need to enable autoincrement and don't insert a value in the column while adding records; MySQL will auto increment the value.

Performed the below action but issue not resolved.
--Make sure that when creating the Environments for the Upgrade, that the correct ids and passwords have been entered. A userid and userid password plus the accessid and accessid password need to be entered. The connectid, many times "People", should not be entered where accessid is supposed to be entered.
--Reinstall the Change Assistant
--Be sure that the accessid and password being used is valid.
--Be sure that there is not an & character in PSRELEASE.Releaselabel column. Change this to a text 'and' if you find one there.

Workaround:
DB2 customers running Change Assistant must set the variable 'override_connection_reset' to the value 1 in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PeopleSoft\PeopleTools\Release8.40\Profiles\Default\Database Options
When they are done using Change Assistant, they must change the value to 0 before they use any other PeopleSoft 2 tier applications.
That look a lot like your issue :)
Try setting the registry key value as defined above to see if it solves your issue.
