Guide Builder in Designer 8.2.1 not recognizing Flash 10

Hi,
I am attempting to open Guide Builder from Adobe Designer 8.2.1.3144.1.471865 and I am getting the following error:
You must install the Adobe Flash Player 9 control to use Guide Builder.
The latest Flash Player Active X control can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer.
Now the thing is, I have flash 10 installed on my PC, and I also gone to the download site listed, and got the latest flash player.  Which is again Flash 10. It's obvious that something is wrong here.
I've also found an old copy of Flash 9 in my downloads directory.  I ran that, then tried running Guide Builder again... same problem.  I tried opening Guide Builder up with a new form.  Same problem.
Is there another patch I need to install, or do I have to roll back somehow to Flash 9?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Steve

I am using SP2 and I just started getting the problem too.  I have both Flashs installed 9 and 10.  Guide Builder will not open and errors that I need Flash 9 installed although it is already there...  HELP

  • Presentation Designer 2011 SP4 Setup Not Recognizing 32-Bit Microsoft Excel 2013

I have 32-bit Microsoft Office Excel (with 2013 office suite) installed.  When I try to install the SAP Crystal Presentation Design 2011 software, the setup prerequisite check is stating that I am missing Microsoft Office Excel (XP or higher) 32-bit.
How do I install Crystal Reports Presentation Designer without having to use Microsoft Excel 2003?
Does anyone know when (estimated guess) Crystal Reports Presentation Designer is scheduled to fully support 2013?

    Hi,
You have to use SAP Crystal Dashboard Design 2013 which does support MS Office 2013, but I've read that it is not great, so I would not recommend it and to use MS Office 2010 if you can.

  • Safari not recognizing flash

OS Snow Leopard, iMac Intel Core i3
Installed Flash version 11.1.102.62 restarted Safari, go to website needing Flash and it asks me to install Flash.
Checked user library internet plug-ins, is empty.
Checked system library internet plug-ins and Flash is there.
Restart Safari, check Help:Installed plug-ins   and Adobe Flash is not listed.
Javascript and java are installed and enabled.
I installed Flash 3 times today, just to be sure.
Why does not Safari recognize the installed Adobe Flash?

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • Recovery media program not recognizing flash drive in USB port

I have a new NB505-N500BL netbook. I am trying to create a backup using the Toshiba Recovery Media Center.
However, it doesn't seem to recognize that I have an 8GB flash drive installed.
Everytime I hit "create," I get the message to insert a 7.7GB flash drive. When I hit "OK" I get a msg to insert a flash drive greater than 7.7GB.
The 8GB flash drive is installed. I've tried it in all 3 USB ports. I've tried inserting it before turning ont the computer and afterwards.
I bought the flash drive directly from Toshiba so it should be good. I also assume a new 8GB flash drive meets the requirements of 7.7GB.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Emma

    Hi Emma,
Contrary to what the size it's asking for, it's possible that the drive is just slightly too small. Even though the data may fit on the drive you have, the way TRMC calculates its free space may be slightly off. If you wish, you can try building this by hand and see if it fits. As follows:
    1. First format the USB drive and make it active.
    2. Now reboot the machine hitting the <F8> key until you are presented with a menu.
    3. The first option should be "Repair...", then hit <ENTER>
    4. You will be present with two login screens and eventually arrive at a repair menu.
    5. First open up a command box and leave it open.
    6. Now go back to the menu and launch the "TOSHIBA Recovery Wizard".
    7. It will eventually get to a warning screen. Don't go pass this warning screen.
    8. Once it gets to the warning screen, toggle back to the command box.
    9. All you need to do is copy the contents from (I believe it's drive Q:\" to you root of your USB drive.
    "robocopy Q: (USB Drive letter) /E /R:1 /W:2
    10. Once everythings copied (assuming it fits), <Cancel> and the warning screen and then try rebooting from your USB drive.

  • Installed Adobe Flash Plug-in Player many time,Safari5.1 not Recognizing Flash Player

I have asked and requested for help for my last  Safari 5.1 Problem and I did get some help but the person didn't finish helping me or didn't answer my questions the second time around, I am hoping that I get a complete and full help and answers to my other Problems that I am still having with Safari 5.1 on my Snowleopard.
My Continuing Problem that I am having is; when I had updated my Snowleopard to Safari 5.1 I was having a Flashplayer Plug-in problem so I updated to the new current Adobe Flash Player, after doing the update, My safari 5.1 isn't recognizing the Flash Player Plug-in whenever I go to a web site that uses or has a embeded Flash Plug-in in it Safari doesn't reconize the installed Flash Player Plug-in and doesn't play the embeded Plug-in on the web site, I have installed the Flash Player several times I even installed the Shockwave Plug-in Player that too hasn't helped Safari 5.1 to recognize the Flash Player Plug-in.
After installing the Flash Player Plug-in Safari 5.1 How come Safari isn't Recognizing my Flash Player?
Does anyone have any suggestions that can help me solve this Problem and get Safar backi to start recognizing the Flash Player Plug-in again?
If anyone can help me and has a solution to my Problem and I have more questions will that person please get back to me? The other person didn't get back to me when I had more questions from my last Problem and my last problem still isn't solved.
    Mrs. Trisha Foster

Tisha, I too get quite bent out of shape when not a single soul in this forum gives me the courtesy of a reply.  It's especially bothersome to me since I know that many literally "live" in this forum only to answer questions and rake up thousands of "points" to show off.  And yet, when a really tough question comes, no answers are to be found.
Although I don't have the solution you're looking for, I would like to chime in with my own Safari 5.1 experience in hopes it can help you better decide on what to do (which may be to downgrade to an earlier version of Safari or use Google Chrome instead).
You are using Safari 5.1 under Snow Leopard while I am using Safari 5.1 under Lion.  You have a problem whereby the Flash plugin doesn't load at all, whereas the problem I have is that the Flash plugin loads but is basically unusable.
When using Safari 5.1 and the latest version Flash plugin under Lion, my web pages partly lock-up or freeze after I display Flash video content.  Specifically, I cannot scroll up or down by using gestures on my Apple mouse.  And after using gestures to scroll up or down if I then resize the browser window, suddenly the place that I scrolled to (and couldn't see originally) appears.  I have to quit Safari 5.1 and relaunch it to get it working again.  But if I encounter another Flash object, the same partial lockup occurs again.  I am using Click-to-Flash to allow me to continue using Safari, but every now and then I forget that this problem will occur and I click to view a Flash video and it locks up again.
I have installed the latest version of Flash player, but to no avail.  It's a very serious problem that did not happen in Safari 5.0 under OS X Snow Leopard.
Furthermore, if I switch to Google's CHROME or another browser under OS X Lion, I do not have this problem at all.
What this means is, even if you are able to get the Flash plugin to load in Safari 5.1, will your web pages lock up as they do in my case?  In any case, I believe it shows that Mr. Job's hatred of Flash in general has led Safari engineers utterly ignore how the new Safari 5.1 plays with Flash.  It's a travesty and an absolute crying shame.  I say this as someone who is not necessarily a fan of Flash.  But until Flash is completely dead on the web, Apple should support it on their desktop computers under any flavor of OS X.  To avoid doing that is nothing more than a slap in the face to all owners of Mac desktop or notebook computers.  And having owned a Mac since the 128k in 1984, I don't say these words lightheartedly either.

  • Computer not Recognizing Flash Player

All was working well on my computer until last Friday night. I tried to watch a video on Hulu, and the site told me that I needed to download the Flash Player, which I thought was already on my computer (just the night before I was able to watch videos on Hulu with no issues, meaning the Flash Player was properly installed). Anyhow, I did, in fact, download the latest version of the Flash Player, but I still get the same message (download the Flash Player) whenever I go to any site that requires it. Adobe Flash is NOT showing in my list of installed programs even though I downloaded if. That said, when I go to the area in my computer to remove programs, it IS showing as being there for removal. I have removed it and reinstalled it several times, still with no luck.  I therefore cannot watch any videos. Is anyone having this same problem, and, if so, have you found a solution? Thanks. BB

    Lenovo G5030
    excuse me guys
i have problem when i enter to Bios setup to change settings inside I was not find usb drivers to change it
and I want installing windows and there are problem about it
please any one can help me in that

Hook the hdd up to the same cable as the optical drive. If you are seeing the drive in a raid screen and it is hooked to an ide port, it has to be on the via controller. If you leave it on the ide1 channel then you don't need any drivers. If you want to put it on ide2 or ide3 then you are going to have to use the F6 option when installing windows to install the via drivers.

  • Firefox not recognizing flash player 10.1.82.76 update

Hi, I have a problem installing the latest flash player update on my firefox browser. I got the the installer page (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/) and I install everything and follow all of the instructions, and flash player installs successfully, but it says it installed version 10.1.53.64. I've tried uninstalling the previous version with the instructions on this page (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) several times, but it still shows the flash player version on the site, which means it wasn't uninstalled. I've also tried using the stand alone installer after disabling the adobe getplus plugin in firefox, but it still shows flash player version 10.1.53.64 as my current version in firefox plugins. However, I installed the flash player 10.1.82.76 update on to Internet Explorer 8 without any problems, it's just Firefox that I'm having trouble with. Thanks for the Help.

  • Flash 8 Windows Not Recognizing Flash 5 Mac .fla file!!

I have been forced to change computers from Mac to Windows.
My Mac has .fla files created in Flash 5, and I am attempting to

Flash 8 Professional. My problem: some of the files I created in
Flash 5 on the Mac are transferring to the Windows environment just
fine...and others aren't recognized at all by Flash 8 (and I get an
error from Windows saying it cannot transfer the files because it

been created on exactly the same machine using the same program. I
have to sell this Mac, but now I am afraid to until I can figure
out how to successfully transfer these files. Any suggestions,
    anyone?

how are you transferring them? it doesnt sound like a flash
issue as many have been sharing FLA
files cross-platform for years witout issue. There's a chance
the FLAs are corrupt as well.

  • Captivate 5.5 player won't open. Not recognizing Flash

I created a movie in Captivate 5.5, published it and tried clicking on the player file to open and review it. I got this  message.
I have Flash 11 installed on my computer.
    My files look like this.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
You can select the program as Internet Explorer or any browser if you have installed Flash player already. (.swf can be opened in a browser if flash player is installed)
Projectname.htm file is also calling the projectname.swf file, so the .htm file will also work for you.
If you need a stand alone flash player, then you can install Flash player projector from here:

  • Device not recognized by Mac Desktop Software

I have tried to sync my Blackberry 8830 World Edition with the latest version of the Mac Blackberry Desktop Software (v. 2.1.3, build 10), but the device is not recognized.
I am working on a MacBook Air running under OS 10.6.8.
I've tried changing USB cables, but this makes no difference.
Some postings advise restarting the computer with the "3" and "2" keys depressed, in order to boot into 32-bit mode, but this hasn't enabled the recognition of the device either.
    Thanks in advance for suggestions/advice.

  • Follow-up Letter Building Sample error in Guide builder

I was trying CM Letter Building Tutorial following the videos uploaded at<br />http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2008/09/cm_letter_building_tutorial.html.<br />In the last step "Building and running the Letter Filling Experience" when I try to preview the form filling experience through Guide Builder Preview, I get following errors:<br />   ..\Application Data\Adobe\Designer\plugins\GuideBuilder\fcFollowUp.xdp.1\tmpPreview.mxml(1273): Error: Could not resolve <cc:CmXfaRichTextEditor> to a component implementation.                                                <cc:CmXfaRichTextEditor xmlns:cc="cm.*" height="100%" width="300"/><br /><br />  ..\Application Data\Adobe\Designer\plugins\GuideBuilder\fcFollowUp.xdp.1\tmpPreview.mxml(1267): Error: Could not resolve <cc:CmOptionalParagraph> to a component implementation.                                                <cc:CmOptionalParagraph xmlns:cc="cm.*"/><br /><br />I also saw the pop up error saying could not find class "cm.CmOptionalParagraph", sometimes while editing.<br /><br />I'm using the latest version of Correspondence Management available at adobe site with LSES update1. (All the SWC files are also there and added in the guide builder). Any idea what can cause this?

I'm able to get out this problem.
I'd one month old installation of designer and workbench. During  generating formguide, this set up created mxml with following component for Optional paragraph:
Then I uninstalled the workbench and designer and installed latest 8.2.1_GM version of those and run the formguide again. This time, the produced mxml has the following entry
(Notice the difference from cm.* to cm.controls.*)
As I guess (just a guess),I think earlier it searched CmOptionalParagraph in cm root
(it gave error that referenced component cm.CmOptionalParagraph  not found as it was in cm.controls location.)
Now it is able to find that as it searches correct location.

  • Wp8 build error="The name 'InitializeComponent' does not exist in the current context" in app.xaml.cs."

I added a new xaml page to my project and copy and pasted some regular snippets to it that I've done before to many other pages.  After all the changes looked good to me, I did a rebuild and got this error in the app.xaml.cs which I hadn't changed.
I also get the same error in the new page I created.  It seems that the xaml design and code are not linked because there are other build errors in the new page's code file that reference other controls in it's design.  Those references also look
ok to me but they get the similar "The name '.....' does not exist." error.

  • Custom Google Map Widget Control for Guide Builder

    Hi,
I would like to build a custom control for Guide Builder.  This custom control will basically wraps around the Google Map control (provided by Google api for Flex/as3).  This custom map control can then be used as part of Guide Builder when building the guides.
I am not sure how to go about doing this, or if this is at all possible.  I just want to get an idea before I attempt to do this.  Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
