Guide Problems

There is no Guide information, it has been unavailable since last night.  What is the problem?

The guide and Video on Demand (VOD) require an Internet Connection.  I am not in front of my STB if you press the Menu button you can  find various customer support or help options and one being system information or system test.  It will let you know if you have a good Internet connection.  If you do you may want to reboot the STB and/or router to see if that fixes the issue.

    Hello, where is problem when I am trying to upload fixed-layout book via iTunes Producer and I get error:
          "ERROR ITMS-5107: "Fixed-layout books must supply a guide." at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)".
    The guide in OPF file is on right place and well formatted.

  • ****Standard Set Top Box/Menu Guide Problem****

    I have a question concerning the interactive guide for a standard receiver. (Keep this in mind: I have my own DVD recorder and like to record three different shows daily while at work on three different channels with one at 8am, one at 11am. and the other at 1pm. during the day while I am at work). II I know you have reminders as an option but as I understand it, if I am not home to OK that reminder when it pops up, it will not switch to that channel. SO...does the interactive menu on your standard receiver have a function where I can set it up to switch to those three channels/programs everyday while I am away? In other words have an auto-tune? Does the standard receiver have the DVR tab in it's menu on there too and because I don't have a DVR it would just switch to that channel for me (and have options too like start 4 minutes early and end 5 minutes late from scheduled time) like I want and simply not have any DVR device to record to? My cable company has exactly that. The guide thinks it recording to a DVR device when in fact it is n't and gets the job done by switching the channel for me so my own personal DVD recorder gets the correct shows recorded. Please let me know back on this as its very important for me to know. Thanks!

    I think the answer to all of your questions is no.
    Only way I have heard to do what you want is to have a DVR that can control the STB. Usually done by adding an IR dongle that you put in front of the STB. DVR sneds a signle out and changes the chanel on the STB for you. Just have to remember to leave the STB turned on.

  • MAU Enhancement Guide Problem

    Hey,
    I´m trying to get acquainted with developing ME/MI applications. Therefore I have read some documentation around the whole system. Then I started with the MDK-Tutorial and made it until the end. But that tutorial is more for learning to create SyncBO´s etc, but less for developing frontend applications.
    So I´m working with the enhancement guide for MAM and MAU. Making the easy look & feel changes is not a problem, but now I come to the part where I have to write new business logic etc(orderlists with equipments).
    I should write a new "onLoad-method" to read enhanced data from the backend, but I don´t know all the methods, object-types etc. used in the "onLoad-Method" of OrderList.java...
    Can anybody tell me, how I can easily learn to change/expand MAM/MAU applications? I´m familiar with java. Is there a special API? Do you know good tutorials?

    ok, I´ll try to describe my problem a little bit more specific!
    (If You have the Guide, the example "modifications" starts on page 69)...
    The practise is to add a new field to a list on the frontend application. In a previous unit I have added a new implementation to the BADI for the Equipments SyncBO, including a new field called "ZZ_EQUI_SORT". After replicating the SyncBO, you can see the field by pressing the "enhancement" - Link on the equipment detail screen.
    Now, I should add this field to the orderlist screen (like the enhancement guide tries to explain as next).
    Therefore I have to create a ZListDef.xml file with the new column for the equipment-sort-field.
    After that, and now I have my problem, I should enhance the view controller "OrderList.java" and name it "CustomOrderList.java". Like it is described in the guide, I have to extend the onLoad-Method of this new OrderList class with the the normal orders information + the equipments field.
    That is all information, the enhancement guide gives me to that change.
    So how exactly can I do that? Just use the action from the onLoad-Method of EquipmentList.java? Or can you tell me how to proceed now?
    I hope that this describes my problem a little bit more closely.

  • 1Z0-051 SQL Fundamentals 1 Exam Guide Problem with loading HR schema

    Hi,
    I’m new to Oracle Databases and have started studying with Oracle Press 11g SQL Fundamentals 1 Exam Guide 1Z0-051.
    The book is good except the problem I have is the HR schema they talk about is made up off seven tables (Countries, Departments, Employees, Job_History, Jobs, Locations and Regions).
    But the HR schema that I get is only made up off 4 tables (Bonus, Dept, Emp, Salgrade).
    Can anyone who has used this book please advise what I’m doing wrong and how I can get the correct Schema please.

    Well I haven't used that book but with whatever little I know , I shall try to attempt the question.
    There was an ancient schema for Human Resource, SCOTT which is haivng 4 tables only. Since 9i, there were an introduction of new schemas like HR ( Human Resource), OE( Order Entry) and so on. So the book is referring to that.
    Now when you create the database using Database Configuration Assistant, there comes an option with a check box, that do you want to create sample schemas or not? If you select that option, you get all these schemas in your db. If not, you only get the old SCOTT schema.
    If you have missed creating these schemas( which I belive is the case) than you need to manually create them. Here is the description for how to create them manually.

  • FPGA module guide problems

    On page 21 of the attached guide that we have on our computer, we encountered an error in the "Acquiring Data from the FPGA" section.  We cannot do step 13.  When right-clicking the read/write control function, there is no option labeled "full."  We were also wondering where the blocks labeled "clock config" go, since in step 7 on page 20, the tutorial asked to place the VI, though it is never shown in any figures in the guide.  Can anyone help with any of these problems?

  • Smart Guide Problem

    Smart guides 'intersect,' (two interweaving paths) does NOT seem to appear anymore –(when 'ADD Anchor' has been selected).  A degree of accuracy is lost...  Eye strain increases..........

    Reverted back to 2013. This handy function has either been removed (smart guide label) or 'simply' didn't install properly... Everything else seemed alright.....

  • Google Play closes on start after ICS upgrade on Arc S, accounts and sync empty, setup guide problem

    I upgraded my arc s to ics 4 days ago, i used google play for the first time after upgrade today. It closes on start. I checked Accounts and Sync, my google account is not there, the whole list is just... empty. I tried the setup guide, at the step they ask to connect to services and sync, i clicked the google button, click and click and click, nothing, all the other icons work (like facebook), i searched for gmail app, non existent....... Seems too late to ask for help but im repairing my phone using pc companion now, hope everything works again.... just powered on my phone, i have a feeling nothing will be changed... really sad that Sony didnt realise this.... i cant access google services at all....plain weird

  • Fit Guide Problem

    BB fit guide says that Jenson VM9412 does not fit my truck ('04 Dodge 1500 Quad) but Crutchfeild says it fits. The radio specs say it is DIN wich is what should fit my truck. I want to buy it from BB for the price but not sure what to do. Any help?

    The pink brakelight wire is necessary.  On most units it can be hooked up to a ground instead and it will make it so you do not have to have the brake on to watch video.  Shops are legally not allowed to let your car leave without it hooked up properly.  However if you ask most local install shops before they install it they will hook up a wire with a wire connector attached under the dash by your brake pedal, and then you just unattach the wire that goes from the unit to the brake light and connect it to the wire they left for you with the connector on it.  Then you don't have to have the brake on to watch, and the shop is not liable for installing it illegally.
    I always have any equipment I don't install my self done by a local car stereo shop.  I'm not sayin that all big stores (BB, C City, HH Greg, etc.) are the same but I have heard SO many horror stories from them.  They do not require much experience to work there installing, and most local shops are involved in competitions, shows, etc.  So they have experience doing all kinds of stuff.
    And don't use the BB car fit guide.  Its garbage.  ALWAYS use Crutchfield's, or ask a local shop.

  • Quite urgent guide problem

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to create guides which snap to the ruler divisions (which is set to pixels) for a website layout.
    For some reason holding shift has no effect on making the guide snap to the increments (in this case pixels)
    I'm able to place a couple of guides accurately using view/new guide but I'd like to know why it's not working.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks JJ, yep that was how I got going until I realized I must have hit ctrl+shift : instead of ctrl+: at some point, I didn't realize you needed snap enabled for guides as well.

  • CS6 Guides problem

    I'm assembling a poetry book (110 pags.) with a master page where I inserted page numbers and headers. Everything goes well until page 43. From that page on and until page 67 I have both the headers and page numbers pushed over to the left and right margins, instead of being in the middle of the page. The headers in the spread, for example, are on top on each other. This is due to invisible guides appearing in the middle of the pages. They are not in the master pages. I have no idea how they got there. I tried to get rid of them but they don't move.
    Any ideas how to correct this?

    Try exporting to .idml. see Remove minor corruption by exporting
    Did you use the Page tool on these pages for some reason?

    I am working through the document: How to....  Monitor Exchange Infrastructure 3.0,but am running into some problems.
    I am in the CCMS Configuration Section (page 12) but I am getting errors in the Activate End-to-End Monitoring section.
    I am logging onto to the Runtime Workbench with a user that has SAP_ALL and SAP_New, but when I try and display the end-to-end, i get a logon error...

    What has happened?

    the user and password are correct, but I assume it may be an authorisation issue....

  • Printer Problem with HP Office jet 6600

    I have the following message displayed on the printer.
    There is a problem with your printer or ink system. Turn the printer off then back on if the problem persist contact HP.
    I have searched through the HP suggestion for repaid but find no match.
    I did change my cartriges for the first time. The magenta supply showes low even though its a new cartrige all the other show full,
    I'm under waranty but have no idea how to move forward
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • What's The Point Of Having DVRS If The Guide Is Incorrect?

    As the holiday season is upon us with a new year right around the corner verizon's guide issues still continue to get worse and worse with each day that passes with no end in sight as to verizon actually making an effort to correct the guide issues that currently exist. The schedules that verizon has running on their channels are so far off that it must be some sort of a sick inside joke to see how much the customers will take before they decide to go elsewhere for their services because of the reluctance to want to assist customers with all of the data that is wrong on the guide. If you want something corrected you are on your own since tickets that get created do not get worked on or looked at by the people who can make the necessary corrections. Now while i have been in touch with your guide provider and many of the channels on the guide to get things corrected (which i should not have to do) things have been getting fixed little by little but the frustrating thing is that even after i get them corrected for everyone who has fios for their tv service two weeks later it reverts back to being the same issues all over again. Very few people know that i have been doing this but if there is anyone at verizon who can actually assist with this issue then please do so because there are a lot of people who are having the same issues nationwide who are at the point where they are going to drop you if you do not fix the guide issues. I would be embarrassed to know if it were my company that was incapable of providing something that people are paying for and that the customers have to do my job for me rather than those who are being paid to do it so if you can assist those of us who have these guide issues please do so or at least give people a reason as to why you are not doing so rather than saying that it is a known issue. It being a known issue and a company doing nothing about it is truly disturbing because then the perception will be that apathy is the reason for not wanting to correct the guide problems.  

    Have you voted here. Get rid of FYI and what ever additional provider adds data. What good is all the additional info, if it is all wrong. Nice guide bad data.
