Guided ,low key tool, reduce effect tool not working?

Hello, I only had Adobe Photoshop for about 2 months now. I have been using the Low Key tool in guided alot. Here recently I went to edit a photo and my reduce effect button tool will not work. I tried everything from restarting my computer and the program. I love using this tool but I can not get the reduce effect to work. Need HELP Thank You

See if resetting the pse 12 editor preferences solves the issue.
In the photoshop elements (Edit)>Preferences>General click on Reset Preferences on next launch and then restart the pse 12 editor.

Photoshop Elements 11: Guided Low Key Tool Problem

I have been having trouble for some time now with the low key tool under the guided menu of my PSE11. When I click the "low key" button, the effect takes place in the image as it should. Then I click the "reduce effect" button but when I click on the area of the image where I want to reduce the effect nothing happens. I have restarted the program, restarted my computer, shut down my computer, and uninstalled / reinstalled the program. Nothing has worked. HELP!

Did you get the problem solved? Im having the same trouble.

Indesign CC - tooltip on guides and drawing tools not working

I just updated CC this morning - but the tooltip when you pull guides down or when you draw a new shape (the dimensions etc) do no longer show.
I know you can still see this in the toolbar - but it was really handy seeing near where your cursor was aswell.
Do I need to tick something in prefrences or has this fallen foul of the latest update and will need to be fixed in a future patch?
Hope some else is having the issue and just not me!

thanks Steve - that is currently ticked already and seems to not be having an affect.
It must be a bug in the latest update as a collegue who sits next to me who hasnt run the update still gets the tool tip.

Creative cloud photoshop blur tool not work as it should be

creative cloud photoshop blur tool not work as it should be !
I go to blur a painting i am doing and it does not blur enough and I am using wacom Intuos 5 med pen tablet.
and I even set the tablets sensitivty for pressure lower then default and still not getting the blur tool to do its job.
I even adjusted the brush settings too to be able to blur even more on hard settings, still nothing.
at least it not bluring enough to see any major changes.
the only way i can blur anything is by using the fliters blur or the brushes ( mixer brush ) settings to mix colors and do it that way.
(note) I will not post my systems specs sorry I don't do that and even the tech from adobe said I do not have to. and so I wont !
just need advise not to share system specs.
and thats what this forums board is for getting advice and read what others say about the issue at hand.

It might be your image is too big in terms of pixel dimensions for the blur tool to work well.
If you zoom to 100% do you see any change when using the blur tool?
What are the pixel dimensions of the image?
(Image>Image Size)
If you try a small image, does the blur tool work?
What about when you use the mouse instead of your tablet?
Can you at least tell us what operating system and version of photoshop your using?

Converting WordPerfect to PDF with desktop printer tool: Not working

I have been a monthly subscriber to Adobe CreatePDF for many years! I work mainly with Correl WordPerfect, but with the change to the Pack version it is not supported. I downloaded the desktop printer tool; it is installed. However, when I follow instructions and print, I get nothing. Where does the PDF go? What can I do? Please help! I cannot continue to pay monthly if I don't get service.

I have win 7 that much I know. 2. Where can download the hotfix? 3. With adobe createpdf, I didn't need adobe ps printer setup, I don't have a laser printer at home, I have an hp inkjet printer.

Please do following
(A). If your system is Win 7 SP1 then install a hot fix to correct inetpp.dll version at C:\Windows\System32 folder.After installing the hot fix version will be 6.1.7601.21819 from 6.1.7601.17514.
Note please uninstall CreatePDF Desktop printer then reinstall after applying the hot fix
(B). If you have not installed Adobe Postscript driver yet then please install one as below:
How to Install PS printer:
1. Open Start menu > Devices and Printer ( or from control panel) and select "Add a printer"
2. Select "Add a local printer"
3. Select "Use an existing port: LPT1: (Printer port)
4. Select any company and any PS printer with Adobe PS printer driver(not clone) such as Xerox and Xerox Phaser 6120PS

CS5 Refine Edges tool not working how its suppose to

The videos you might have seen might simply be using images that lend themselves to the task better than your image.

Adobe XI - Hightlight text tool not working

Just downloaded adobe XI and the hightlight text tool not working. How can I get this to work.

I guess you can always use the box tool in drawing markups to draw a box around the text then play with the colors until you get close to what you want.
The only thing I don't like about that (besides it being a PITA) is that it covers the text with color as well where the highlight tool does not.

Shape Builder tool not working on shapes in a clipping mask

Why is the Shape Builder Tool don't work on shapes inside a Clipping Mask? The Pathfinder does work but for the Shape Builder Tool: NADA!

Thank you for answering. No it will work correctly. The Pathfinder work inside a clipping path and in any situation but not the Shape Builder Tool. Unless this is normal, I think that the specialist at Adobe should have a look at this annoying behavior and try to release an upgrade with this behavior corrected in a near futur.

If you release the Clipping Mask and try the Shape Builder tool then, does it still balk at making the shape?

Try to login to system info page with administrator or j2ee_admin for java and dual stack respectively to check if the password is correct.
If the password is incorrect, then check if you have any alternate admin ID. Change the administrator or j2ee_admin password, then try to login with the new password. Change the password of SDM and securestore to the new one.
If this is not the case, then check the log files in visual admin directory. Please post the same.

7 key of alphanumeric keypad is not working on Nok...

I am facing this issue today. The '7' key of alphanumeric keypad is not working properly. On my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. I am anuable to write character q and r. When ever I press it, it either prints p or 7. But it does not print q and r.
I soft reset my phone. But the problem resumes. Its annoying. As I cant type.

Yes, It is very annoying. In writing sms when I presse key 8 for t,u or v. 7 automatically pressed and it got the glow effect too. As if I pressed it too. Its really annoying. I like my phone but its driving me crazy. its out of warrenty. I have upgraded its firmware to v51 too. If it improve. But it doesnt.
And I think I should remove the protector screen. As I am having it since I bought this phone. I really should see if I can fix its issue from Nokia or sale it.
jheel_online I did changed its orientation. The spot has issue. When in landscape mode when i press p the dot (.) also pressed.

Effects Panel not working correctly

I have Windows 7 64 bit, Home Premium and using PSE9. When I open PSE in Full Edit and go to the Effects Panel, the Filters work just fine, but the Layer Styles will not open (or show anything) and the Photo Effects will not open ( or show anything). I did rename the MediaDatabase.db3 file as MediaDatabase.old, following instructions given in a PSE9 class I am taking....but have done nothing else with that file, and then is now a new MediaDatabase.db3 file under the "old" listing....so two files there.
I have no idea what to do to correct this....and I did close everything and close PSE and also my PC...let them rest a while, and then restarted the PC and reopened PSE9, and still the Layer Styles and Photo effects did not work. I hope someone can understand my problem and help....in simple "baby steps". Thanks

All new keyboards need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and above for full functionality.
Rather short-sighted of Apple perhaps, but that seems to be a trend these days.
I'm afraid the only fix is to upgrade to SL. Personaly, I'd take it back and get a refund and seek an older keyboard or a third-party one elsewhere.
