Guidelines on whether we should go for 'domain concept' in SAP BI

Hi,
Can anyone share the guidelines/best practices on whether one should go for domain concept in BI implmenetation or not? Ours will be a consolidated global sales warehouse and we do not experience that many data load failures. What are the advantages one gets if one uses domain? When should domain not be deemed necessary?

by looking at the specs the laptop is better but if your not a gamer or graphics designer then you most likly wont notice a difference in the performance at all so with that said a few downsides
the processor is i5 the i7 processor is the better processor the graphics card has half the dedicated memory that the laptop has and the hdd compared to the solid state is not much of a difference unless you wanna move your computer all the time you wont need a solid state drive
but like i said before if your not a gamer or graphics designer on your computer you will not notice the difference most likely

Your iBookG4 is still a pretty awesome Mac. Like already said, it has the power to run Leopard, but it depends if you have an internal DVD drive.
Then I suppose you have to add up the cost of the OS, perhaps another 512MB RAM, iLife 08 and replacements for any favourite apps that you currently use (Leopard breaks a lot of stuff, but Intel breaks even more). Compare it to the cost of a new MacBook, which wil have all of that included and be 3-4x faster too.
It also depends on what you want to achieve with your iBook. My PMG4 still cuts it today, I still use it in preference to my new Mac Pro, It's about the same age as your iBook, and I'll only stop using it when it becomes "painfully" slow. My 1 year old son currently uses the Mac Pro (parts for a Mac Pro are easier to replace than those for a PMG4).
I think your choice is simple, if you can a cheap copy of Tiger, use that, it'll get your iPod Touch up and running. It came in DVD and 4 CD version (by request).
Leopard will work for you too but a lot of the best eye-candy requires quite a meaty graphics card and you may need a RAM upgrade and replacement software - OS9 Classic is not supported in Leopard.

I have a 8GB Ipod touch. I the other ine is worth the difference, because the simple ios 5.0 takes like 3 GB!!!
Another reason is that new some apps take 500 MB. I'm going to ask for the 32GB model for Christmas, and I am very disappointed with the amount of files you can have in the 8GB Ipod.

Importance of Certification for Domain Change

Hi,
I have two years experience in development in .Net technologies in a reputed MNC. After that I took a break for personal reasons and now am planning to get back into the industry. During that period of work, i had taken part in a "boot camp" carried out by my company itself in SAP PI/XI 7.1, which perked a lot of interest in me towards SAP. Domain change, unfortunately, was not encouraged in my company, at least at my level.
I am now looking forward to doing Certification in a SAP module. I have a few questions.
1. Even though I have coding experience, will I be counted as a fresher, since it is not in SAP technologies? I think Certification is important towards improving my chances in improving my chances in securing a job as a SAP consultant?
2. I am leaning more towards functional modules than technical. My work exposed me more towards communications end, especially mobile app development, can any one suggest a good module i should look into? I liked SAP PI/XI since including a bit of coding as well, which i though would be good for me since i have experience in that domain, but some consider it as an advanced module, so I'm really not sure.

Hi Arnab,
1. As far as SAP is concerned, you would be considered as a fresher. However, your .net experience would be some handy. SAP Certification may help to market your CV being a fresher. At the end of day, whether you have Certification or not, you need to show case and prove your abilities in the interview.
2. Particularly, mobile technologies have good demand. You should follow the mobile technology space on SCN. There are some wonder people in this area, I am sure, they would be able to advise you in more details.

Profile update should allow for change of email address

Dear sirs,
Member profile update should allow for change of email address otherwise one has to unsubscribe their old email address and re-subscribe the new one.
Please make it happen.

I worked out the answer to my own question.
1. Logged into my Apple ID
2. Editited my Apple ID email address (old) and changed it to my @me.com address (ignored the red warning about Apple ID must not use a domain owned by Apple) and pressed the blue Save Changes button anyway at the bottom of the page.
This created a new Primary Email Address with the @me.com (which needed to be verified etc.)
The Primary Email Address can now also be changed to my @icloud.com address if I wish (which also needs to be verified.
I would now like to be able to use the option to 'Make my Apple ID and Prmary email address one and the same'. So I can finally get rid of my old e-mail address as my Apple ID. It can give me the option to change it to my @icloud.com address, but when I press submit, it does not do anything. This feature does not seem to work yet. I suppose that is another question / request.

Should Fuse for OS X be on my new Retina iMac?

After migrating files, folders, setting and apps from my old 2009 iMac (currently running OS X 10.10 Yosemite) to my new Retina iMac (27", Retina 5K, OS X Yosemite) I notice that there is a Fuse for OS X (Oxyfuse) preference pane in the System Preferences. Is this necessary or desirable? Should Fuse for OS X be removed? If I choose to leave Fuse for OS X installed, should this be updated to the newer version 2.7.2 (installed version is 2.5.4)?

It's third-party software, not part of the OS. Only you know whether you need it or not. If you don't need it, remove it according to the developer's instructions after backing up all data. If you do need it, update it to the latest version.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

GR Should check for Related PO in BPM

I am doing File to IDOC scenario, I have to do
GR.,which inturn should check whether PO is created for that or not.
while doing GR, it should check for related PO.
If it is not available it shouldnt create,else it should create.
Could anyone let me know how to achieve this thru BPM.
if possible what steps i have to take let me know please.

in BPM, have a receive step to get source file data.........then have a synch send step in which you will map this source file data to a RFC in r/3 which will tell you whether the PO you are sending in request is existing in r/3 or not and you will get the rfc response from r/3 in this step..............then have a synch send step in which you will have a interface mapping which will take the source file and the response of the above RFC and map it to the request of another RFC which will create GR - you will have to check from the first rfc response whether you will send anything in the GR RFC request - if PO exists, then only send GR data to the second rfc to r/3 and its response will tell you whether your GR was created in r/3 or not.............then have a send step to output this second rfc's response to a file.
now you will have to ask your functional guys to tell you both the RFCs for checking PO and creating GR.

You are saying that you DID backup your iPad so there should be no worries at all. After you restore the iOS, you can restore from the backup - and sync with iTunes, if you are using iTunes - and you should be fine. If you see the iTunes logo and the USB cable on the screen, you are in recovery mode.

If you didn't backup your iPad, there is nothing that you can do about it now. You will lose everything when you restore. You can add you purchased content back to the device using the purchased tabs in all of the iStores or you can sync your content back to the iPad if you use iTunes.

We get plenty of error messages:

Our SharePoint 2010 environment consists of 2 app and 2 front end servers. We have plenty of SPSecurityContext.WindowsIdentity errors in our SharePoint logs. I found that this is related to C2WTS service. We have this service running under Local System account
and only running on both Front-end servers. We are not using Kerberos in our environment.
My question is should this service be configured with domain account even we are not using Kerberos?
Also should this server be started on App sharepoint servers?
Is any other way to prevent those errors?

Since local accounts are unable to query the domain, and I suspect that the Local System account uses a virtual local account (as opposed to the computer's domain account), then the same would apply to your C2WTS.
Yes, configure a domain account (DEDICATED, since C2WTS requires some VERY elevated privileges), and the C2WTS will be able to do all of its domain lookups.

i dont know whether i should buy a macbook pro 13" or 15". May you give me some advice? I need a MacBook for bootcamp, office (especially word), a little bit of software development and a lot of safari. The 13" is small and fits perfectly in every bag. The 15" has more performance and a bigger display, but is it worth to pay 600 bucks more just for a bigger display. And what about the noise of the fan? What are your experiences??

Here's what you get more, just off the top of my head, without looking at the specs:
• Quad core i7 vs. Dual core i7 (and even then, you pay more for it)
• Discrete AMD graphics card on 15" vs. integrated Intel HD graphics on 13" (which also is available on 15" when low battery usage is required)
• Larger graphics memory for better 3D, better photographic and video processing
That's just off the top of my brain. If none of those matter, then sure, save money. At that point, however, save more money and get the MacBook Air, IMHO.

Google For Domains

Everything with my iPhone setup went smoothly except for my email accounts that are using Google for Domains. They are unable to communicate with the server.
Mail on the iPhone has appended the @gmail.com to my accounts which does not work.
What should be: [email protected]
becomes: [email protected]@gmail.com
Is there a solution for this? If not the mail app is basically useless for me.

I have a google's App's account, what I did was:
Choose 'Other' from the create mail (or add account)
Choose 'Pop' at the top
Name: your name (whatever it doesn't matter here)
Address : [email protected]
Description: (whatever)
Incoming
Host Name: pop.gmail.com
User Name recent:[email protected]
Password: yourgoogleapps_emailpassword
Outgoing
Host Name: smtp.gmail.com
username [email protected]
password: yourgoogleapps_emailpassword
Tip: using the 'recent:' will help your mobile device just bring down the last several emails this helps reconcile if you have more than one device using pop to get mail from your google account. you don't have to use recent: you can just use '[email protected]'
Worked great for me.. (make sure you have pop enabled on your google account) Hope this helps.

I had the same issue during configuration (Bootstrap Domain Configuration stuck on 0%). Searched Oracle Metalink # 862174.1 (below) and did exactly same and worked like champ
