Hi All,
      Any body can give more info regarding Synactive.com and GuiXT.
      Do i need to install new software to use GuiXT to enhance my standard
     Transaction. I need to add few custom fields to Standard Transaction, which do
     not have any screen exits. helpful answers will be rewarded.

Hi,
Go to that R/3 standard transaction screen that you wish to modify. Click on Edit -->Script in the GuiXT Menu. Now the text editor (Notepad) for the corresponding script is started.

Error messages Sap gui 7.1 pl 6 and 7 + guixt

Hello,
We have a problem with SAP GUI 7.10 PL 6 and 7 in combination with GUIXT 2008-Q2-1. When the user is starting a transaction that is combined with GUIXT, they are getting mostly three error messages:
Message 1:
"Not enough memory - please increase virtual memory (get memory:length=25728 file=C:\Source\grilb\..\grlib\smtable.cpp line=13)"
Message 2:
"Not enough memory for internal table (table name=cntl occu=32 leng=804)"
Message 3:
"PRD: maximum work process hold time execeeded"
The problems occur since patch level 6. We tried somes solutions:
Solution 1:
Install the newest version of GUIXT, no results.
Solution 2:
Upgrade SAP GUI with patch level 7, no results.
Solution 3:
Uninstall SAP GUI 7.1 PL 7 and reinstall an older version of SAP GUI 7.1 PL3, the problem is solved.
Can someone tell me what these error messages mean and if there has been a bug in SAP GUI 7.10 patch level 6 and 7?

Hi Matthew,
I do not know whether A. De Cesare and Steve Wojnicki still see this issue in their installations. In my comment above I suggested to use a higher SAP GUI patch level (PL8 or above).
We (Synactive) could not yet find out what is causing this problem; a couple of installations reported it in the past. What we found out is that
- the error occurs with SAP GUI 7.10 PL6 and PL7, but never occured in earlier patch levels or in later patch levels
- it occurs on certain PCs only, but we do not know what differentiates those PCs from others that run the same application+scripts without problems

Guixt problem, sometimes it doesn't work

Hi SDN.
We use guixt on ESS screens in EP6 sp20.
As far as I remember the ITS is on pacth22.
My user experiense that sometimes guixt doesn't work, but just show the original screen. 5 minutes later it works again.
Ofcource it cannot be reproduced but happens now and then
Does anyone have a clue of what I should look for?

I would first download the latest version of guixt.dll and guixt.exe from synactive.com.
Then I would test it again.

GuiXT

Hi,
We have GuiXT implemented in 4.7.
We are planning to upgrade to ECC 6.0.
Does anybody know if there are any issues for GuiXT in ECC 6.0 ?
How easy is it to implement it for ECC 6.0 ?
Are there any features available in ECC 6.0 due which we need not use GuiXT at all ?
Please provide me some links so that I can check.

GUI XT is an frontend application and is deployed with the Sapgui for Windows Installation.

    In Guixt I want to Add a TextBox. In that, my requirement is to fill the textbox with date and save it.
   I want to know whether the date will be saved into the database table or not.

GUIxt support for ITS

Hi all,
We have modified some of our SAP screens using GUIxt. If I access these transactions using ITS will the changes made to screen using GUIxt be visible through ITS also?
I am using ITS version 6.20 with patch level 21. do i need to install anything on ITS to get this functionality?

ITS 6.20 patch 21 on Windows does support GUIXT. You need to enable the GUIXT functionality in the ITS Server, and put the GUIXT templates on the server as well. Visit the synactive web site for more information...

GuiXT lock situation

hi all...
Recently, one of our users started getting this error message "GuiXT lock situation", as you can see on the following print screens:

Could you please let me know:
1. What is exactly is GuiXT?
2. The option "Activate GuiXT" on the "Customize Local Layout" menu is not activated, so how can we get GuiXT error messages?
3. I couldn't find anything about the "GuiXT lock situation" error message on the internet (including OSS). Does anyone knows what this error message means?

Hi,
Login to SAP -> Click on the GUI Icon on the tool bar(Screen with Colors)
find the Activate GuiXT option if it is checked - Uncheck it ->
this is a very vague Solution -this is how my Problem got fixed...
this is a sporadic Error in GuiXT, but i believe its been Fixed in the Latest version of the GuiXT
Alternatively you can Download the Latest Version of GuiXT from www.Synactive.com

GuiXT Question

Hi All,
We currentently have SAPGUI 7.10 installed including GuiXT to client PC's. We've not really used it much. If we decide to make more use of it I see one option is a server based installation. Though he documentation isn't great I did install it on a server and can manipulate the ini file to get desired results when I launch it by itself
I see nothing in synactive documentation about SAPGUI using the central copy of GuiXT. Currently when someone activates GuiXT from SAPGUI it knows to use the GuiXT copy at C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui. Is there a way to associate SAPGUI to the new central copy?
Any links to good documentation is appreciated. Any experiences using GuiXT especially a server based install? Licensing, the other synactive tools are appreciated!!

Basically, the local ini file needs a redirect command to point to the central guixt.

Guixt Components - required error

dear sirs,
i have a problem settings scripts with guixt,
if i use "set" command, it will return a "inputassistant component required" error
if i use a "viewer" control, gives me "viewer component not active"
i cannot find option to enable them in profile
im using sapgui 7.1

I'm getting the same error.
Jared, why do u say that is needed an InputAssistant Licence?
In my case, if I go to GuiXT profile and then press the 'OK' button, the sritpt works fine. I don´t purchased any license.
At Synactive site, under pricing, it only mentions two things to InputAssistant:
Comfortable and fast data entry
Single-screen transactions instead of multiple-screen transactions
I'm not using any of those.
This is the script error:
 Set V[itm] "&cell[Todos os itens,Itm,&V]"
Line 21: Component InputAssistant required for 'Set'
 if not V[itm]
 goto prev_order_end
 endif
where is "Line 21:" -> error shown
How to resolve this?!

GuiXT: Recently we have added new SAP system EIQ

Hi,
Our client is using GuiXT since long time. Recently my firm started
taking care of GuiXT operations. Recently we have added new SAP system EIQ. GuiXT is not working on the new system. It is working fine with other existing SAP system EIT and EIK. Please let me know what all GuiXT related settings need to be done on the new server.

Hi Gaurav,
You need an additional key for the new system, which Synactive will provide as part of your client contract. Once you have the new key configured in the guixt ini file, everything should work as desired.

RFC user locked for guixt

Hi,
The communication user for guixt keeps getting locked. The RFC username & encrypted password are in the guixtrfc.ini which is distributed to each user PC. I'm thinking that somebody tried to edit the guixtrfc.ini & changed the encrypted password.
I need a method to either find out which front end PC has the bad guixt.ini or prevent the communication user from being locked (not all user accounts).

If the GuiXT scripts reside on a central drive in the network, then all users can access them.

Copy-Paste Function in GUIXT Text Editor ?

Dear All,
We have upgraded our SAP System from 4.6 to ECC 6.0 Version.
In 4.6 Version, for the PASTE Option, we use the " /9 " Option for pasting teh content from the clipboard.
But, in the newer version, we are not able to use that option. when we use that option a message is thrown as follows:
" This function Code doesnot exist".
I've gone thru the Synactive help and other documents. I even checked for teh OSS Notes. But no clues !!!
Does any one know how to solve this issue ?

Those prefs aren't applicable in Firefox any longer. If the Rich Text window doesn't provide those commands, you'll have to use the keyboard commands - or go without.

Problems with GUIXT statement TEXT with parameters

Hi,
i use guixt with DLOGON.TXT for logon-dynpro.
In the docu i find, that it's possible to use some parameters
for the statement TEXT.
These parameters are: -border, -intensified, -fixedfont and Size="n" .
I try to use them, but i get always error.
Ha s anyone an example to use it in the following statement?
