GW 6.5 - A suggestion for a good book

Hello people !
I'm CNE in Brazil and I would like to know a good book to implement GroupWise 6.5.1 im my server that it will work with Border Manager 6.5 SP3 (Small Business Suite Starter Pack).
Thanks in advance.

These fourms are focused on developer issues, you will find that Novell has a
different set of forums for general support, which have a lot more people answering
questions.
Say that take a look at Novell's own book

  • Suggestion for a Good Book

    Hi,
Could someone suggest me a good book covering core java security (not J2EE)?. I'm looking for a book that covers all security related APIs that are part of Java 2 SDK 1.3.x + JSSE + JCE + JAAS or Java 2 SDK 1.4.x.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I've a book called "Professional Java Security",
by Jess Garms and Daneil Somerfield, published by Wrox press.
I've used it to dip my toes into the Java Cryptography extension, and
it was very good. I got a TripleDES encryption utility working reasonably easy.
Also covers JCA, JCE, JAAS, JSSE, SSL and E-Commerce.
    regards,
    Owen

  • Suggestion for a good button theme

    Hey,
Looking for a suggestion for a good button. I do not have access to Photoshop and all I am using is the ones that can with Studio Pro. It is just a plan white square. This is a Christian family movie so something more to the point of the theme might work.
    Any ideas?

  • Interested in other people's suggestions for a good feature

Hi, I'm Kerstin and I'm 2 years old. I li've in Cebu, Philippines, but I'm Swedish (originally from the wonderful city of Uppsala). I'm in the second term of my filmmaking degree at the International Academy of Film and Television[url="http://www.filmschool.ph">(IAFT)[/url]. Busy researching for my screen writing class. I'm interested in other peoples suggestions for a good feature. Always good to get together with like-minded folk.

    Hi Kerstin,
I also have some folks and friends back there and the place is great.Looking for a good feature?Hmmm...you could try the local folktale/s in there,I've heard a lot of it from old grandmas but dont know if it is true or not. It will be an exciting (scary?) one.

  • Looking for a good book about threads

    Hello all,
I am looking for a good book about threads.
I would like something which is both practical, but also provides some theoretical basis.
I am an experienced programmer, with some, but not much, experience with concurrent design.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I found the "Java Threads" book by Oaks and Wong to be fantastic:

  • OT: Suggestions for a good Christmas green?

Way off-topic I know, but 'tis the season. :-)
I'm trying to figure a good Christmas green and am stuck in the hell of inaccurate screen representations (of course) and a crappy printer (two crappy printers actually -- one that prints way too dark and one that prints way too light).
Any suggestions on a CMYK value for a good Christmas green when I go to press?
    Thanks, Phyllis

    Hi Phyllis!
I am a print production manager, and find the following three mixes failsafe:
    95c 0m 100y 27k
    100c 0m 91y 42k
    100c 0m 95y 10k
They're all a little different in hue, but fall within that "holiday" green which should work well with reds.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    -Mikey

  • Scanning suggestions for an Apple book?

Are there specific scanning suggestions (dpi, exposure, etc.) for old prints and negatives to be used for an Apple book, other than the generally available scanning recommendations?

When it comes to scanning and what is right for your needs it takes some trial and error. Don't assume higher settings will provide better results, generally there is a point of vastly diminishing returns. Do some trials and see what looks good and is useable, when you use high settings the human eye cannot see it and you get slow performance because the files are huge and take up large amounts of HD space.
BTW there would be no difference between an "Apple book" and any other book.

  • Suggestion for a WLS book

    All,
I need a book about WLS administration and performance tuning.
We develop ADF applications, and I'm in charge to admin and deploy it, with best performances, on a standalone WLS.
Could someone of you suggest me a good read on the subject ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sergio.

There are some mentioned here: http://www.munzandmore.com/2011/ora/review-weblogic-11g-administration-handbook-with-an-overview-of-other-wls-11g-books
The first one has two excellent chapters on administration and performance tuning (respectively chapter 12 and 13)

  • Searching for a good book about [Arch Linux]

    Hello friends,
I'm here stuck with Windows 8, making a couple of tests about installing Arch Linux in VMware Workstation, if it succeeds, I'll move to Arch completely. My question is: Is there a good book about Arch (installation, maintenance, best practices, security, and so on)? I tried "Arch Linux Environment set-up How-To", but unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected.
    I'm a little confused about UEFI + GRUB2 + GPT/MBR but I think I'll dominate it soon...
    My system:
    [PROCESSOR] >> Intel® Core™ i7-3840QM (8M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)
[GRAPHICS] >> Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 680M GPU With 4GB GDDR5 Video Memory (SLi)
    [RAM] >> 16GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz
    [SSD] >> OCZ Vertex 4 (256GB)
[HDD] >> Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid (750GB)
I wonder in how many seconds the system will boot up...

@op  As others have mentioned, do not seek out knowledge from a book.  There has been quite a few shifts in Archlinux, specifically to uefi and systemd.  There are a few starters for your concern.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … _Interface
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/UEFI_Bootloaders
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners'_Guide/Installation
Other then that, there is the forums and a quick search will land you on a goldmine of knowledge.  Great idea to start it up in a vmware, although it will not require the uefi boot, but it will still get you a bit more familiar with the install process and iron out some basic questions.  Good luck!

  • Need suggestion for a good scanner/inkjet photo printer

I would like to be able to scan in photos to edit and also print photos.
Most of all, I want the ability to print two-sided (manual or automatic).
Of course, I'd also like it to print decent photos as well.
Any suggestions? (It seems the Mac software for certain printers isn't as good as the Windows version of the printer software)

Epson, Canon, Kodak are all good printers. they all have their own good software that will satisfy most requirements.
I did not mention HP because of their inadequate support and the unbelievable number of printer types (models) they have on the market that are not supported.
Your biggest problems are going to be:
    1 Compatibility with Leopard.
    2. Meaningful support from vendor.
    3. Cost of Ink refills.
All three items above, especially Items 2 and 3 made me lean toward Kodak.
    look at them

  • Suggestions for a good ExHD?

    Hi,
I was thinking about getting WD MyBook ExHD (Premium Edition - 500 GB, Duel interface). However, I've been reading user's opinions about the MyBook and they're mixed to say the least. Opinions? Suggestions of the other good ExHD companies?
    Thanks for your suggestions,

iBook G4, Mac Mini w/ Core Duo soon   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Mike's advice is good. I have put together several external drive myself using combo enclosures (USB2 and Firewire ports) and large good warranty drives (Hitachi = 3yrs, Seagate = 5yrs; Maxtor only offers one year) for a lot less than many prepacked drives. Although you often see decent deals on ready made external drives, but you often also do not know what drive is inside them.
The last external enclosure I purchased was this one...
    http://tinyurl.com/ncgbg
which is a combo enclosure and for $32 (shipped) is a good deal. I also verified that when attached via Firewire, it is a bootable enclosure on my eMac.
Then put in whatever good deal you find on a parallel internal drive in the size you want.

can someone suggest a good 4k monitor(preferably a 4k tv to be used)
to attach with macpro and which are the accessories needed to make that
    operational

I do not really understand what you mean.
The follow Apple articles several 4K monitors and lists which support 30 Hz and 60 Hz
Using 4K displays and Ultra HD TVs with Mac computers
The following also lists some 4G monitors
