GW2012 Web Access Logging

GW2012SP1
GW2012SP2
SLES11SP3
SLES10SP3
We have two GW Web Access Linux servers. Neither one creates the log files
on startup. The WEBACC.CFG both have the path to the log file folder as
$(webapp.config.path)\logs. With the GW2012 Web Access installed and running
on a MS Windows 2K12 server the logs are created. I know, run MS....however
that is not an option. Linux is preferred.
What, if anything are we missing?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
JoeK

No the WebAccess Admin console shows no log files being created.

  • EM Application Log and Web Access Log growing too large on Redwood Server

    Hi,
    We have a storage space issue on our Redwood SAP CPS Orcale servers and have found that the two log files above are the main culprits for this. These files are continually updated and I need to know what these are and if they can be purged or reduced down in size.
    They have been in existence since the system has been installed and I have tried to access them but they are too large. I have also tried taking the cluster group offline to see if the file stops being updated but the file continues to be updated.
    Please could anyone shed any light on this and what can be done to resolve it?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Jason

    Hi David,
    The file names are:

    Redwood/CPS version is 6.0.2.7
    Thanks for your help.

  • P6 Web Access connection to MS SQL Server database using TCP Dynamic Ports

    Hi,
    I am attempting to install P6 Web Access. When I run the installation and do the database configuration I am required to input a port number into the Database Host Port field. I do this and no error is displayed graphically, but I get a connection refused error when I look in the web access log.
    "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed. java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect "
    The dba is running the database on an sql server farm and does not want to apply a static tcp port to the Primavera database as this will interfere with his other databases.
    The fact that it appears to be mandatory to input a host database port during database configuration, has me thinking that P6 Web Access requires that the database be set up with a static TCP port? Is this correct?
    I searched the documentation about this but came away with nothing...
    any help would be truly appreciated.
    Andy

    At my previous company we experienced a similar issue with P6 Web. Our P6 database was hosted on an Oracle RAC and when configuring the Web connection I was forced to point it to a single RAC server rather then allow it to utilize the cluster. If you have found a resolution to this I would be interested in hearing about it.

  • Access Logging in OC4J

    I can get the various websites like the default-web-site to output access log information but they never have userid info in them, only "- -" even users are logged in. No userids appear in OHS access logs either. Apps frontended by SiteMinder have both REMOTE_USER and SMSESSION populated but no userid makes it into the access logs. Any ideas?

    I'd never done it, but it does look like you can specify a format for the access-log entries:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/web.1013/b14432/website.htm#BABFGJHD
    The format string looks like it supports a field called $user, which may give you what you want.
    As a test, using OC4J 10.1.3.3, I just set mine up as follows in default-web-site.xml:
    <web-app application="ascontrol" name="ascontrol" load-on-startup="true" root="/em" ohs-routing="false" access-log="true"/>
    <access-log path="../log/default-web-access.log" format="$ip - $user '$request' $status $size"/>
    I then started OC4J, accessed the ascontrol application and logged in as the oc4jadmin user.
    In the access log, the following entries were produced that clearly lists the user I logged in as:
    127.0.0.1 - - - [127.0.0.1 - - 'GET /em/console/ias/oc4j/home HTTP/1.1' 200 9654

  • Rotation of access logs unsuccessful !!

    Hi everybody,
    I tried setting up the rotation for access log (WLS 6.0), as per the user documentation.This
    doesn't seem to work, neither "by Size" nor "by Date". My config.xml does show
    proper tags for logging.
    <WebServer DefaultWebApp="DefaultWebApp_myserver" LogFileBufferKBytes="15" LogFileName="./config/mydomain/logs/sushil.log"
    LogRotationPeriodMins="1" LogRotationTimeBegin="06-07-2001-14:19:30" LogRotationType="size"
    LoggingEnabled="true" Name="myserver" />
    Am I missing something here. I was wondering if someone could give me an insight
    on this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sushil

    I see there is no space between 1000" and max.
    <access-log path="../log/http-web-access.log" max-file-size="1000"max-directory-size="10000"/>
    However, you need to use the ODL logging line in config
         <odl-access-log path="../log/http-web-access" max-file-size="1000" max-directory-size="10000"/>

  • Outlook Web Access will only log in as Light Version

    My office has been using Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access for longer than a year at least. We have been using the full version.  We have a desktop operating Windows 7 with the most updated IE browser, and my computer a Windows 8 laptop with the
    most updated IE browser. My lap top is where the problem is. As of about two days ago the OWA is only logging in as the Light version. There is an option on the log in screen that says "Use Outlook Web Access Light" and the box is checked and grayed
    out so that I can not uncheck it. I did not check this myself it just happened. Also the setting for blind and vision impaired users is not checked off in the accessibility tab under options. I have checked the Windows 7 desktop and it is functioning
    normally.  It allows the user to check or uncheck the "use outlook web access light" at will and does not get stuck in Light version.  Also please note that this is the same email address for both computers not multiple users
    where one works and one doesn't.  I am charged to monitor the email in our office and do it from the laptop but there is access to it on the desktop if the other employee needs access.  I have also seen forums where they say to
    change the server to say OWAPremiumClientEnabled. I do not know how to do this.  If this is a possible solution please give me steps on how to access the server which i don't even know if i am connected to.

    What kind of help do you need?
    If Outlook Web App opens just in a light version, you have to update your Exchange Server to resolve this issue.
    Also you can temporarily add the URL/Domain to the Compatibility List as said Martina_Miskovic.

  • Remote web access gives critical error on log in

    OK...  time for more information about your setup.
    What router are you using?
    Is there more than one router on the network (including a modem-router if this is a DSL Internet connection)?
    What is the OS of the external computer through which you are trying to access RWA?
    What are the OS(s) of the network computers at the office?
    >>Ok, just created a test user with admin rights, I can still login to mobile site, but on the desktop version I get the same error!
    So, using an external computer (not an IPhone), you can successfully log into RWA but cannot access (remotely control) any workstations on the network?
    Are you getting any certificate errors?
    Is 'Remote Desktop' enabled on each network workstation?

    In fact I just worked on a school in New Jersey where I had previously
    set up filtering for 31 cameras to work over three different BMgr servers
    at three different school locations. And the police use them.
    (Funny thing - police explained the want to be able to check on problems
    in case something happened like an attack that took out power to the
    school, or some disaster, or even if they cut power in a hostage

    it would!')

    Hi Tracy,
    Have you changed something on your SharePoint 2007 environment recently before this issue occurred?
    This issue may be related to Alternate Access Mappings settings like the following similar post, if you have configured AAM, you can check if this issue happened to some URLs, if it's the case, please add the problematic URLs as a Publish URLs for the default
    zone for your web application, and also add these URLs as trusted locations, then check results again.
    If above doesn't work, please enable ULS log on verbose level to get more useful log errors which time are corresponding to the errors occur.
