GW8.0.1 Client: Links within Emails not working
We have serveral users at my company that when they click on an external link within an email it will open IE8 and never bring up the page. All it does is open a new tab within IE8 and stays idle claiming it's "connecting". I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client on a few workstation but no luck? I cant seem to find a tid available for a fix so have turned to the forum for answers. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or having the same issue I am.

But although i have the "problem" with newsletter or such stuff with external elements (e.g. images) from different servers/domains. For each different domain, our customer have to fill in his proxy auth data. Someone have the same experience and a solution for this? (Except a proxy without Authentication :P)

Email text not displaying normally / links within email not functioning
All of a sudden, emails are not displaying normally; symbols and numbers are interspersed within words of emails, no graphics, no functioning links within emails on my BlackBerry Curve 8530. Verizon Wireless suggested I upgrade to a different phone. That's helpful.
Have you sent HTML emails to GMAIL, HOTMAIL and YAHOO accounts successfully before? Are those services capable of handling HTML formatted email? Not all email clients can handle that type of email.

Document Approval - Link in Email not working
Hi
I am using the approval function for KM documents.
When a content item is changed, and submitted for approval, the approver gets an email.
In that email there is two links, one to the content item itself and one to the details of the content item.
The one to the details of the document does not work!
The host name seems to be missing in the url.
The one to the content item itself works fine.
I do have set up the hostname in:
System Administration->System Configuration->KM->CM->Global Services->Url Generator Service.
that points to the content item.A colleague of mine recommends looking here:
Ya, it is unsder systemadmin > sys config > KM > config > CM > Global Services > URL Generator Service.
There is a value for "host" and there which should be "http://(orhttps://)portalserver:servport

I have emailed myself a few simple PDFs and have noticed the hyperlinks within my PDFs aren't working on my 3G or my 3GS (current, non-jail broken OS).
I'm not certain if this is common behavior and the onboard PDF rendering on iPhone OS is lacking or if perhaps my PDFs are malformed somehow.
Can anyone confirm for me with PDFs of their own making?Attachments are not fully functional with iPhone currently...since iPhone doesn't have the ability to do anything but display the PDF or doc etc, the links don't hyperlink to the data you're trying to open from within the PDF...

Links within portfolio not working for me
Acrobat 9; Word2007;XP
I gave up trying to have links correctly transfer from msword to pdfs. So I am manually creating each one in the portfolio i'm building.
Problem: The links are not preserved after I save the portfolio and re-open it.
Setup: I have a single portfolio with a structure of folders, subfolders and pdf files (all the files in the portfolio are pdf)
The links I'm referring to are all within the individual pdf files. They link to other pdf s within the portfolio (pdf-2-pdf). There are no external links.
The link control is a small button image.
Link creation. 1. The way I create a link is to open acrobat 9 in modify/edit mode. Do tools>advanced editing>link tool.
2. I drag the crosshair over the image and get a 'go to page/set link' popup.
(the old link is usually some localhost link via some temp folder that drills down to the original source file. I have to delete this old link before A 9 will give me the new 'set link' option)
3. with the set-link panel visible, I open the file I want to be a target set the position, zoom, etc. while that file is open; then press the set-link button.
4. I close the open pdf and return to the porfolio view with the source page and link on it.
Results: The links work fine as long as I stay in the portfolio. If I save it and close out of acrobat and then reopen and load the portfolio, the links are pointing to the original external source files and don't work.
Problem - I'm obviously missing something. I'd have thought links to files inside the portfolio would be local to the portfolio. It's what I need them to be. When the portfolio is sent, it's not going to be dragging the original files along with it - pdf or msword ( i hope not). So what gives? What do I fail to understand? How do I correct the problem. (one question really - I just broke it down into parts.. ?=).
I'd sure love to know what the heck is going on.
(ps I have checked my settings creating the pdfs and they were set to convert bookmarks, save urls and anything else I could find that remotely resembled something useful. I also have red Joel's tips. Nothing helpful there. )Hmm...I think I see the confusion.
In the black and red samples, we use one XML file to list the
galleries whilch then loads each individual photos.xml file.
My photo album tutorial just uses one photos.xml file. I make
one dataset to get the images and another dataset to get the
photographer info.
So go one step at a time. Take gallery_finished.htm and add
your photos and thumbs to the folders.
Then replace your XML file with the existing one. Open in the
browser and it should work. Make sure that your XML nodes are the
same as the sample one.
The page you have now shows that 'photos.xml' is in the same
folder as gallery_finished.htm. So make sure your path is correct.
Either move the XML file to the same folder or edit
gallery_finished.htm so that the path to the XML file is correct.
I know that quick success is important for keeping with a
project, at least for me. So we want to get this working for you.

Customer Support link to email not work
Not happy with support sight. While trying to issue a trouble ticket for a Zen 5 Plus, I go thru all the questions and get to the point "[url="http://93.95.7.83/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=779,E=0000000000338349862,K=3223,Sxi=6,t=prob_ not_listed#">Click here to submit and go to email. Thank you.[/url]" The link should let you go to entering infor for email, instead the link jumps to a Google search screen. It is doing this for all selections on that page. How is one supposted to issue a trouble ticket?
It's working on my system. What browser are you using? Try clearing your cache and cookies and try again, that usually does the trick.

Links, Video, Email Not Working
I've been experiencing a reoccuring problem with links, pages not loading and video not appearing.
After going on youtube it says, "You may need to initiate java or upgrade your flash player". I have had java on the whole time.
My email sometimes won't even open after it's finished loading, leaving a blank screen. Once I do get in, it looks like a beta version of what it should actually look like.
Googlemaps appears blank whenever I click on it too.
I could not even post on this site with my macbook because when I tried to click the links, nothing would happen.
What should I do?You're right. I apologize.
Are you using Safari? If so under the Safari menu is an option to empty cache, try that. If that doesn't help you'll also see reset safari. Try that.
Have you checked for software updates? Try running software update and see if anything pops up that might be relevant. The tip above about deleting the preference file is a good thought also. -

Sharing by email not working in PSE10
Hi there. I upgraded from 6 to 10 yesterday and things were going relatively smoothly until I tried to email some attachments. I'm operating on a Windows 7 computer and was trying to share via email attachments. I select my photos and the contact that I want to send it to and then it just goes into limbo with the little moving circle. One time the actual message box came up, but then my attachments were too big, so I reselected some and I haven't been able to get the message box to come up again. Just been trying to do one picture as a test, so its not a size issue at this point. With an old computer I used to do it through Outlook, but don't have that on here as it is a work computer and we use Notes, so I was using the Adobe Mail Services option tied to an email which did get verified. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Amy
Thanks for trying, but what you have suggested did not work. Every time I try to share photos via email, the software crashes. This is extremely frustrating. As far as I am concerned, this software has been a huge waste of time and money.

Please follow the given steps-
1. Launch Organizer.
2. Under 'edit' menu select 'edit->preferences->Adobe Partner services'.
3. Click on 'clear online service data'. Press 'yes' followed by 'Ok' in coming dialogs.
4. Close and launch Organizer again.
5. Again Under 'edit' menu select 'edit->preferences->Adobe Partner services'. Now click on 'refresh' button. Click 'ok' in coming dialog.

iPhoto -share to email not working-The email server didn’t recognize your username/password combination- for hotmail and big pond- since apple technical support re-hotmail on iPhone.
in the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete your e-mail account and reenter it

IMHO the better solution is to set Apple mail as the email client in the iPhoto preferences

Deleted the SMTP setting
Recreated the SMTP using the same settings
Able to send emails now

Hi. I habe one old ID and now i have one new ID. The old one is bad , because the Email not working. But i hav a lot of Apps and i want to copy this apps in my new ID. How can i do this?
You don't. Apps are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. Instead of creating a new ID, change the primary email address on your existing ID.

@Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.
