Gx 60 3cc low fps in multiple games in minimum graphics settings

Well here i am again, i wonder why my laptop (gx 60 3cc with apu a10, 16 gb ram gskill ripjaw , ssd 128 gb, r9 m290x 2 gb, ram and ssd were added) shows low fps in games like cod4, battlefield 3 and 4?? i mean cod4 45 -150 fps, bf3 20 - 70 fps, bf4 20 - 50 fps, all games with minimum graphics settings. There is something wrong with my laptop? because i think that it should run perfectly those games, or i need to make some changes on my laptop settings? all drivers are updated, there is some way to see what is wrong? well i hope you can help me :(

Is there a chance all those games are using the APU instead of the discreet graphics card? You have to set it up so that games run on your discrete gpu. I'm an nvidia guy, so I don't know exactly how that's done on an AMD based system.

Yeh i cant stand it, I paid £1300 for my brand new HP ENVY dv7 and have been trying for months to get the fps where it should be only running counter strike source at either 31fps or when its in the mood a max of 41 surrounded by spikes of lag here and there and its like this on vertually every game i play (Skyrim, Gmod, Half life 2, Magicka, Civ 5 and more) ... Im running with 8gigs of RAM, Intel i7 and with a Nvidia Geforce GT 650M (2GB)... Ive pissed about with settings for too long, is this laptop faulty?
turning off Vsync, optimising my nvidia control panel settings for a better performance and lowering settings on the games themselves barely shifts the framerate... i feel like ive played around with every setting on that godamn list and tryed it out with different games too, manually assigning different processors to different games, resolutions... Right now though i rust ran Counter strike source on the "integrated graphics"setting at got 95fps... which made me a bit more happy, however i ran Warhammer 40k dawn of war 2 on integrated to see if it would run at a simelar framerate and it only ran at like 12fps ... is my graphics card like broken or something?
Part of me just wants to know if there is a setting i can just change to get everything working as it should... what do?

hi, i thougt i allready posted this but didn't
i fixed by selecting the gforce as primary for the specific game
and then ran the game in direcxt 8 mode.
counterstrike source from 30fps to 300fps.
my driver lets me choose specific games run on eighter the onboard intel chip or the gforce.
the game itself accepts lauch parameters such as dxlevel_8
if i go dx9 or higher then i have 30fps

Qosmio x770 - low FPS

Hi guys!
So basically the problem is low FPS while playing games like Witcher 2 or "older" game like Battlefield BC2.
Using fraps I got like average 20FPS on High setting.
So I tried everything, changing nvidia settings, using gameboost, killing Toshiba software, power settings....
Does anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this except updating graphic driver (we all know Toshiba's policy about that). Is there any process, Win 7 catch or preinstalled Toshiba program that is blocking graphic card for max usage?

So, I have installed new beta drivers 285.38 and underclocl core clock to 675, but still there are no changes regarding my FPS. I got around 30FPS in Battlefield on medium settings and that is when I adjust GPU core back to 775 WTF?!?!?

Msi gtx 970 4G low fps

Hello,
Been struggling with this for about a week now. I took the offer on the Far Cry 4. I upgraded my card from a GTX 660ti single card. I have played FC 3 on the old card with no difficulties. I have loaded the newest drivers and upgraded my BIOS. I have Bench marked the card on 3DMark and Unigene. I am getting very low readings and not even reaching 30 fps. When I play Far Cry 4 I barely get 12 fps. I am not sure if I have done something incorrectly here via the installation or I have a faulty card. My setup is as follows;
i7 - 3770k @3.50 GHz 4 core
16 GB of RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
BIOS American Megatrends Inc 2014

I have the same card as you this is what ive found to be my best setttings. There by no means a fix just helps.
1 uninstall the driver suite using DDU in safe mode .
2 download drivers 344.11.
3 install ONLY 344.11 not the package install what you need later down the line.
4 go in the bios and see if you can enable x.m.p in your ram also when your there check pci is on next gen 3 .
5 back in windows go to nvidia control panel and set ( this is the best one for me ) change down from the native resolution to one lower that works for you . eg i use a Sony bravia native is 1080p 1920x1080 iv'e changed to 1080p 1600x900
6 go to manager 3d settings
max pre rendered frames use 3d
multi display single display use performance mode
power management prefer maximum performance
vertical sync use 3d application
virtual reality pre rendered frames 1
msi after burner overclock your gpu
core voltage +20
power limit max
clock core +200

In game set all graphic settings to max (for some strange reason you don't see any fps improvement if you set them to low )

[Solved]Low FPS while gaming Steam games on Linux

I have low fps (range between 10-30) while gaming Steam games on Linux in e.g. Dota 2 on ultra low graphics game settings.

Alad, I have noticed only one similar error:
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libdlfaker.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored
You probably want to start a 32-bit application with bumblebee on a 64-bit system. See the "Note" box in Installation.
but I have all needed lib32.
Or am I wrong?

MSI GT70 2PE Low FPS in game

Hi all,
I just bought a MSI GT70 2PE without OS and installed Windows 8.1 and all drivers downloadable on msi.com.
I'm getting an ultra low FPS in World of Warcraft , a ten years old game !!!!
Watch my joined screenshot. Do i have miss something ? Is it really possible to buy a recent notebook with such bad gaming results ??

Yup that is what I needed, now I know your laptops specs. Seems it runs a GTX 880M which should really have no issues at all running games like world of warcraft. Right, first of all, Did you install all the Chipset drivers and so on from the MSI website and are you using the latest Nvidia Drivers?
As HCH mentioned, make sure you are running the game on the dedicated graphics card. You can check this easily as the power button will be orange if it is using the Nvidia GPU and White if it is using the Intel Intergrated graphics.
Also, make sure you are connected to net power when gaming.

Macbook Pro Retina mid 2012 low fps in bootcamp

My English is not so good, so sorry if it's not correct, but I hope anyone could help me.
I have a Macbook Pro Retina mid 2012, 2,3 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB ram, 250 GB SSD.
My problem is when I go to bootcamp for gaming I get realy low fps. The most games start at 30 fps, but then they drop immediately to 8/9 fps and a second later back to 30 fps.
It's like a car, when you drive to hard you have to slow down, but then you drive to slow so you need to go faster. He speed up and a second or 2 later he kicks on the brakes and a moment later he speed up again and kicks again on the brakes.
Even with al the game setting on realy low and the lowest resolution. And that al the time in every game. My bootcamp is Windows 8 but in Windows 7 did I have the same problem. I did already a SMC reset and Pram reset and 5 clean installs. But nothing works. I installed al the updates in OS X en in Windows. There al alrealy some forums about this problem, but by them was a SMC reset enough. Maybe something is wrong with my Nvidia grapihc card. The problems starts everytime when the Nvidia card need to do this work.
it's quite an annoying problem, it's not a cheap laptop, but my old laptop ( 2 years old ) are the gaming performs better compared to this one. I think the problems start after this SMC update http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1559?viewlocale=en_US but I'm not quite sure.
Are there more people with this problem, please let me know. And maybe how you solve it.

I recommend resetting your SMC and your PRAM. Perhaps even a safeboot as well.

Getting low FPS on MacBook Pro Retina 15" (2012) even after resetting SMC

I am getting very low FPS on Guild Wars 2 (between 25 and 40) and on Dibalo averaging at about (30 FPS) when playing on 1440 Resolution and Medium Settings. I've seen videos online with much better FPS using the same configuration as my Mac.
I've reset the SMC, PRAM and made sure that the nVidia card is running using gfxCardStatus
Anyone knows if this could be a faulty GPU Card?

I would make sure it's not running the game in the screens native res as that would be soo high even a gaming laptop would struggle

DOTA2 low fps during hero picking phase

Usually I have ~50FPS rate, but when I picking hero in PvP game (with bots it works great), my FPS downs to 9-10 and sound is cracking.
Before I played well, in common I use proprietary driver, but some days ago, when I reinstall system with encryption, I also tried non-proprietary driver, which was bad idea for my NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO (too many artifacts and very low FPS).
So I deleted "free" driver and installed proprietary driver. Mb I forget to delete some free-driver packages, or forget to install some non-free driver componets, mb some libraries (provided by Steam) are conflicting with system`s librararies. Anyway I dont know what to do, my attempts to find a solution in Internet led me here.
I`ll be very greatful if you help me! But you must know that I`m not a Linux-guru, so write me all commands I need.

First of all, whether you have 1GB/512mb/256mb of vga memory doesnt mean much in terms of performance, it all depends on your specific gpu unit whether its a 5650M, 6570M, etc. In your case your gpu does seem to be able to run most older games okay. Measuring fps in lobbies doesnt mean much either since there's hardly anything there for your gpu to render. You say you begin with 60fps and then drop to about 20fps midgame, presumably when the action is getting most hot. You could perhaps try lowering your graphical settings a bit or maybe your resolution. Alternatively the problem may also lie with your internet connection.

MSI X800XT PE (Low fps problem)

Ok, I dont know why I didnt think of this before, but I've been searching all kinds of forums lately trying to get find some answers as to why I seem to be getting really low fps with my MSI X800XT PE.
Theres no doubt about it. These cards are quick. The problem I am having is that it just doesnt seem to be kicking out the right amount of FPS during game play. For example, when I run 3dMark'05 (ver 1.1.0), (I only have the free version) My total at the end of the test is 5621. This is after I changed to the Omeaga Drivers (2.5.90) Before I upgraded to them, I was still running the catalyst 4.10 drivers and getting about 1000 points less.
As for Counter Strike:Source I did the video stress test. Video settings are all set to the default recommendation for my system. So everything is on high, Reflect world, Anisotropic 8*, antialiasing 6*, vertical sync disabled. My score was 83.1fps.
According to just about everyone else who owns an X800 Pro or XT PE they are all getting much higher results than myself.
I am also running DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
I would really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas as to why my scores are so low.

Basically I've done most of my comparing on futuremarks page. After you do a test it asks you wether or not you want to submit and compare. So I select all the hardware I own and see what others got. Looking through the pages it just seems that my score is in the last few pages. Another thing when I play CS:Source, during game play I see the fps drop down to 20fps during a heavy battle esp if there is water in the area. Do you guys get that. Theres a console command that shows you how many fps you get a second. Bare in mind that I play it @ 1600*1200 AS 8* AA 6*. I just thought that these cards would hardly ever drop to 20fps no matter the res and detail.

Lenovo Y510p low fps after fans running on high

I had to take apart my lenovo y510p and change the dc port. Now everything is working fine but there seems to be a graphics card issue or something. After I play a game on medium~high settings, the fan blows on both sides on high speed it seems, then after a couple minutes, my frames drop from ~30 to 1-5fps. I have no clue why this happens, the graphics card is updated. This happens when I play battlefield or war thunder. What could be the issue? should I take my laptop apart again?

I have an almost brand new macbook pro (had it for a couple of weeks) and i use it for gaming it use to able to run games like mass effect,dragon age, halo 2 smoothly at high setting but one day all of a sudden it became really really slow,now some time it run smoothly for a few minutes when i first start the game but the gets really low fps (around 1~2). is there somthing wrong with my mac hardware?

GTx 770 twin frozr low FPS

Hello. I already made a post about this some time ago, and it came out that my PSU was too low wich gave me low fps in the newer titles, today i got a new PSU - corsair cx750M and i still get the same problem.. i tried games like evolve (i know its alpha but my friend runs it at highest with gtx 660), watch dogs (same i know its not evry well optimised but the fps drops from 50 to 1 randomly same with evolve) im pretty sure that PSU is above what i need .

i got the same issue than you (also the exact same psu)
ram not a problem (gskill sniper cl9 1866 mhz 4x8gb 32 in total) all tested and no problem
curent cpu: phenom II x6 1090t 3.2 (will receive in the next day my new fx-8370 4.3 ghz 8 core )
OS on ssd 128 gb (windows 7 64bit ultimate)
game on 4TB drive (wd black)
also a 1tb drive (wd black) for pro music software (samplitude pro suite ominsphere komplete9 ultimate...)

MSI GT70 2PE LOW FPS

My brand new MSI GT70 2PE DOMINATOR 880M with 8GB of video memory was working just fine, after about 3 weeks of usage, roughly 2 hours a day of Call of duty it started giving me low fps after 10-15 minutes of playing.
These are the following which I have tried to fix the problem:
Changed advanced power settings for maximum performance.
Changed 3D settings for each game individual to have maximum performance in power settings
Changed 3D settings globally to have maximum performance in power settings.
Obviously I have chosen NVIDIA GPU to be used.
When none of these worked, I tampered the void sticker and changed thermal paste, some of the paste was off the GPU and CPU but mostly it was there, so changed it, for both, screwed it back together, and NOTHING HAS CHANGED,
Temperatures before changing the paste and after did not change as well, while playing are around 60 celcious for GPU and CPU, 140 Fahrenheit.
So after 5 minutes of playing with new paste FPS drops again to 10 FPS per sec in COD, and this is the case for every game that I have, total war series, cod series, poe, skyrim, every game.
So does that mean that my GPU is faulty ?
One thing I've remembered; while I had this issue already, I switched off power plug and played on battery i Played total war 2 on strategic map mostly so fps wasn't noticeable there, after power for to about 28% I switched power back in and started playing COD, for 2 hours while it was charging and I was playing FPS was perfect. Next day problem was there again, I tried to do the same, switched it off till it got to 30% switched power back to play in hope that FPS will be normal, but it was never like this agian, same 5FPS problem.
And also during 3 weeks of playing I noticed that my power button was mostly of white color, it was changing sometimes to red but mostly white, right now it is only red, if you guys can help me out, id really appreciate it, really this is most powerful notebook there is, i saved for year to get it and I got this crap, I am very very

So I might have something here, during 10 minutes of play with normal FPS and also while not running anything, 4 cores gave readings:
0:3692-3791
1:3592-3692
2:3592-3692
3:3592-3692
So not numbers in between, just these 2 figures for each core
While not running anything readings on CPU temperature would change randomly between 48c and 55c every 1/3 of a second on every core, every core had different readings in between these ranges.
After FPS drop readings changed at once to:
0:3292-3791
1:3292-3692
2:3292-3692
3:3292-3692
CPU clock would change every 1/3 of a second and also ratio would change rapidly 33,36,37
I closed the game, for 20 minutes leaving notebook turned on, readings stayed the same giving "after" fps readings, I tried to launch the game again, there was
immediate low fps
Consistency of readings on CPU temperature while running the game before and after FPS drop look the same and would change randomly between 54c and 60c every 1/3 of a second on every core, and for every core temperature would be different
I left notebook for 30 minutes, turned off power fan, and temperature would be between 60 and 64 on some cores and 64 and 69 on others, while not running anything..can that mean that I applied new thermo paste incorrectly ?

GX70 Destroyer Low FPS Out of Box

Hi Guys,
Had a minor issue with my FPS on the GX70 Destroyer, found the fix was an issue with the AMD Driver. Re-installed it and it worked fine!

Mind to share which game you had low FPS and which AMD driver(driver version) have you re-installed to fix the problem?

Gx 60 3cc low fps in multiple games in minimum graphics settings
