[GX620] WinXP Pro 64-bit: SCM doesn't install correctly

I put Windows XP Pro 64-bit on my GX620-098US. I've tried installing the SCM several times (using both the installer from online and on the drivers cd), and every time I get this message when I try to launch it:
Any ideas?

Umm... shouldn't it still work in 32-bit mode? Though since it's interacting with the hardware directly, I guess there could be problems...
But more importantly, this machine has 4gb of memory. Are you seriously telling me MSI didn't write drivers for 64-bit OSes when you need to use a 64-bit OS to fully utilize the machine??? Are there any alternatives to SCM?

  • White Color is Grey on Playback in WinXP Pro 64-bit

I am running QuickTime Pro 7.2 on WinXP 64-bit. When I output to any QT compression format I looks GREY when I playback the file in QT.
Here is the tricky part -- When I play the same file on my WinXP 32-bit laptop, WinXP Pro 32-bit Workstation, Mac OSX laptop they white show up as it should. Pure white.
When I am in After Effects on my 64-bit machine, my files show pure white, as they should. I can render individual frames and import them into QT and play...it's pure white. Only when I do an export on that image sequence does it revert to gray again.
    My monitor is calibrated.
SO, it seems to me that this is some sort of playback issue on WinXP Pro 64-bit. OR am I doing something wrong? Is there a work around?
Thanks in advance for the time and help!

Restart Quicktime and play a movie to test.
Be sure to restart QT or the changes won't take effect.

  • ITunes for WinXP Pro 64 bit??

I'm running a 64bit WinXP Pro platform as my main computer.. The previous version of iTunes 64bit for Vista installed fine, but the newer version, 8.0.2 I think it is, says that it requires Vista. Is there an actual install for my OS?

    Hello, Welcome to discussions.
I am sorry. At this time there is only iTunes 64 bit for Windows Vista, There is currently not one for Windows XP 64 bit.

  • MacBook Pro DVI-HDMI 1080p doesn't work correctly

    Hello,
I've just bought new Samsung LCD TV LE40B550. This TV is Full HD and support 1080p. I've connected it via DVI (macbook pro) -> HDMI (TV) cable. It works ok, when I set 1080i. But when I set up 1080p, it shows few dots (pixels) on TV not correctly. The picture is not that good as 1080i. Shouldn't it be reversely? The 1080p should be 1080i, shouldn't be?

You probably want to post this in the MacBook Pro forum:

  • ITunes for Windows 64-bit (oops, doesn't install under XPx64)

Just as the subject states, whenever I try to install iTunes 7.6 64-bit, it declares that I must have Windows Vista in order to install this. If it's not supposed to work for XP x64, then why post that on the download page? Hopefully if you were trying to be nice and provide us with an XPx64 copy, this trouble will be corrected sometime down the road?
    Thanks in advance.

The 64 bit version of iTunes will not install on my machine either. The setup program only checks for Vista 64 and if its not then it won't allow you to install. If there's no major difference in how iTunes works under XP and Vista then It seems like all it take is for the setup program to check for Windows XP x64 then allow iTunes to install.
P.S. I've installed the 32 bit version of iTunes on XP x64. It works but is not stable; It already crashed twice.

Hello and hope you can help me. I tried looking for the answer to my problme in previous forum posts but couldn't find anything useful for me.
I bought the printer one month ago, I installed it without any problems (wireless) but at one moment, I couldn't use the scan function. I had to use the USB connection to do it. I thought about uninstalling amd reinstalling but more problems appeared. Now I can't install all the features, the scan function doesn't work wirelessly, not to mention eprint. I deleted all the HP registry keys before reinstalling the software, still doesn't work. When I get to the checking network environment, the program blocks. The printer is connected to the wireless network, it even prints documents.
    Please, can you help me?

  • ICal doesn't install correctly when reinstalling Mac Tiger OS X

I have been trying to help my dad with his Mac. This weekend we went ahead and wiped out the hard drive and reinstalled Mac Tiger OS X. When it came to installing Disk 2 (he doesn't have a DVD) it said error installing iCal, and we had to restart and install Disk 2 again. This happened about 7 times and we gave up. In the Log Viewer Mac say the iCal files are too big, and the second line mentions that some iCal file are written incorrectly.
I was wondering if we can start all over again and begin with Disk 1 or skip installing iCal.
    Can someone help us please?!?
    Thanks!
    Bernie

If the computer isn't connected to the Internet, download the Pacifist dmg file on another machine and then transport it to the computer where you are trying to install iCal to. If you download it on a PC, don't attempt to open the downloaded file on the PC.

  • TS3297 Please make a 64-bit itunes that can install correctly.

I have unistalled everything, double-checked the hard drive and reinstalled multiple times now.  I have also tried repairing and reinstalling quicktime multiple times.
I'm about to give up one Apple as I have never had any program give me the trouble of itunes for just an installation.  I have a 64-bit system but when I plug in my ipad it says I have the 32-bit program installed when i know i chose the 64-bit one about 20 times.

I also have similar problem. iTunes will not install on new HP desktop which uses Win 7 Professional and IE 9! Instal stops with note download was incomplete. Tried several times without Firewall and clearing IE history Still no luck! Is it a Win 7 or IE 9 problem?????

  • My iPod shows up, but doesn't install correctly. Help?

    Alright,
2 days ago I could plug my iPod (5th Generation iPod video, 30gig) into my PC and it would work just fine. Now when I plug it in it won't work. So I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, now in the hardware monitor it shows up with a little yellow exclimation mark next to it and it won't show up in iTunes at all and it won't charge. When I plug it into my PowerBook I get the same result, won't show up in iTunes and won't charge. However, when I plug it into my clock radio's dock it charges no problem.
Any help? I just bought the Rocco DeLuca CD and I want to listen to it!
    Thanks for the help.

The yellow exclamation is a sign that your driver has gotten lost somehow. I would uninstall and then reinstall iTunes as it has all the software/drivers that's needed. Just my 2 cents, but if it were me, I would download a fresh/updated copy of iTunes from Apples site.

  • In-home Agent doesn't install correctly

Tried this several times and no luck. Get an error that something in the installation process did not finish correctly. This is a Windows 8 computer.

The general advise here is to use the online troubleshooter: https://www22.verizon.com/foryourhome/vzrepair/vziha/requestrepair.aspx?CMP=DMC-CVZ_ZZ_ZZ_Z_ZZ_N_X22...
Many others have reported issues with the software and trying to get it to install under Win 8 for example: http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/Connectivity-issues-Windows-8-amp-In-Home-Agent/td-p/5618...
If you are having issues (such as connectivity) other than the software install I would recommend starting another thread, The experts here are very hard to stump (not that  I am one)

  • ITunes 12.0.1 doesn't install correctly

I was running iTunes 11.4 perfectly fine and then I updated to 12, but when trying to open it, it just says "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 5). I have reinstalled plenty of times over the course of 2 weeks. I tried uninstalling every Apple program in a certain order and reinstalled, but with no prevail. I also tried deleting a certain file in the iTunes folder too. Please help.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
