GX660 laptop Bluetooth and Turbo Mode issues

Hi all,
I recently upgraded to Windows 8 64 bit and have got everything working perfectly except for my bluetooth facilities. Have tried using the latest Win 7 ones from the MSI website but no joy. They install, and it seems in Services that bluetooth is running but am unable to transfer any files to or from the laptop and it doesn't broadcast that a bluetooth signal is available when I try and pair it with my mobile phone.
The other issue I have is the facilites such as Turbo Mode don't work. When the lightup keys are pressed nothing happens. Have tried installing the System Control drivers from the MSI website for Win 7 but no joy again.
Would be grateful to any solution to these issues as I have in the meantime had to revert back to Win 7

Your notebook is not verified to be upgradeable with Win8 by MSI (http://event.msi.com/2012/windows8/index.html). Therefor MSI doesn't provide drivers or any Win 8 support for that model.
For Bluetooth it misses a Radio switch driver which is crucial for Bluetooth to work in Win8 while the rest of your problems are related to a lacking SCM version for Win8 and your notebook model.

Bluetooth mouse has been working for a day, it suddenly stopped working. Having checked the PC bluetooth connection, which said "Working properly". Could you let me know how to re-connect, or re-work?
"Not complete shut-down" blue screen issue right after receiving the HP PC when I closed display to be in sleep mode.

Most of the time with USB headphones, you have to download the driver from the manufacturer before they will work properly.

Media Card, Bluetooth and Bedside Mode.

Hi All,
I have a few questions please.
The first is I have loaded music onto my Z10 but I want to transfer it from my device memory onto my media card but I cannot find how or where I go to do this.
The second is I have connected the phone to my bluetooth system in my Ford but after playing abut 6 songs the phone keeps dropping the connection, I am pretty sure it is the BBZ10 as my wifes S4 and my previous iphone 4s both work perfectly.
Thirdly is there any way that I can turn bedside mode off completely as for me this serves no purpose and how do I find what times that this activates and deactivates please.

For the music, the best thing to do is connect the device to your computer and the flash memory, as well as the SD card should show up as a drive and you can copy from one to the other.
Bluetooth with cars always gives unexpected results. There are so many cars and so many phones that to have them all work flawlessly is statistically impossible. What OS version is your Z10 on? You can look under Settings >About >OS
Bedside mode is only enabled when you manually enable it by sliding the shade down from the lock screen (when charging) or specifically turning it on.

QOSMIO X500-12D - webcam, bluetooth and fingerprint disconnection issues

I still got no solution for this problem. I already did a clean install of Win 7 x64 but still no luck. The devices still keeping disconnecting and I have to reboot to resolve. (this is bad since I normaly using a bluetooth keyboard)
Further this Problem seems not only to occour if system goes 'idle' since my bluetooth keyboard was disconnected during typing. (whatever 'idle' means).
Sometimes I was able to recover at least the Bluetooth connection by turn it off and on again within the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, sometimes with the HW switch (which also deactivates the WLAN) and sometimes only a reboot helped.
It seems that all three devices (Bluetooth, Webcam, Fingerprintsensor) are connected to the same integrated USB root hub within the system.
After my last test, everything was working before I left the system during a nightly copy operation of a 'few' gig, I come back after ~4 hours and all devices were disconnected (HW not installed) --> I checked in the device manager (see [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/241257] to show devices which are not connected and in the computermanagement right click device manager -> View -> Show hidden devices) all 3 devices shown as 'not connected'.
I already opened a case at support and they told me to update the bios. (when I opened the call the tests were done with the latest bios available)
Nevertheless, I also had a small talk with the support and they told me to restore the system from the recovery DVD's and check if the problem persists after the restore of the 'certified' image (drivers and so on). If it still persists they will do a HW repair. (change mainboard or whatever)
*AGAIN... is there still NO solution out there? I have searched the web and found many people with the same issues. (X500 owners and others)*
_What did i tried:_
- different hotfixes as described at [http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB0402UQ0001R01.htm] and [http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ0402UC0001R01.htm] ([http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978258])

It seems that I have found a solution for this problem.
If you have read my first post exactly you should have read that i already disabled the selective USB suspend.
I have connected 2 external USB hubs which are powered by an AC/DC adapter. On this USB hubs I have connected varios USB devices...7.1 USB Headset, external HDD's, PDA, Card Reader, PKI device, USB Sticks, etc.
Nevertheless, I also disabled the the Powermanagement settings on all devices which were involved and where it is possible.
To do this goto the device manager --> right click --> View --> show devices by connection.
Now locate your bluetooth, webcam and fingerprint device. (be carefull names might be different because of different drivers!)
Should be under ACPI x64-based PC --> PCI-Bus --> Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller --> {color:#ff0000}*USB-Root-Hub*{color} --> {color:#ff0000}*Generic USB Hub*{color} -->
There you should find all integrated devices which are troublemaker:
* {color:#ff0000}*AuthenTec Inc. AES2550*{color}
* Bluetooth USB Controller-7 from TOSHIBA
* USB-Webcam
Now double click every device in this 'chain' and locate the powermanagement TAB. (Please note that NOT all devices in this chain do have a powermanagement tab and cannot be configured....that's ok)
On the power management tab uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' and click OK.
I have done this for all devices which are {color:#ff0000}*marked red in the chain above*{color}. (_I also deactivated the USB selective suspend in the used powermanagement plan!)_
It seems to work now....until now no more bluetooth problem or devices which were gone. It might be that it is enough to disable the Power saving settings only on one or two devices, but right now i had no time to test.
Please also keep in mind that I am using the latest Intel Chipset driver, latest Toshiba drivers and installed the Microsoft hotfixes described in my first post in this thread!
It would be very nice if some people can try and post here if it works!

Query_only and normal mode issue

a form, consists of 5 columns from a data block is been called from a menu where it decides it should be query_only mode or noraml mode. my issue is query_only mode out of five only three are getting displyed whereas in normal mode all the five columns are getting displayed. any suggestion are really grateful.

i did find that if i created an non database item then
the form is working fine in query_only mode.This indicates only ambiguity,So strange and unlogical..

May be u r trying to call a detail form without it's parent so something is broken with the relation.
Try to find out r the 2 columns that don't displayed r foregin key for example..!
even i am not convincing with what i am saying but sometimes happen..! due to the logical is unknown for us..!

Bluetooth And USB Connectivity Issues

I am having issues with both my bluetooth mouse and keyboard staying connected and or dicovered. Also, peripherals connected via usb are also dropping offline randomly. Any thoughts?

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Possible solution to wireless/bluetooth/and system performance issues.

I had a TON of issues with Leopard after my Tiger Install, network, bluetooth, video playback, iTunes playback, system performance and freezing just to name a few. I tried everything (reseting PRAM, etc.) to fix the problem and have done a variety if installations half a dozen times. Yesterday I took out my 3rd party memory I had installed (Corsair if anyone cares) and did an erase and install. I've had no problems so far and everything seems to be running great. I'll keep everyone posted on any progress. You may want to try this if you think you may have the same issue.

I may have the solution to slow performance when using multi core processing. I was testing out realflow 2013 and noticed simulations were talking a long time to finish when using maximum threads 32. I set the threads to 8 and the simumlation was twice as fast which did not make any sense to me. The simulation was taking 1min 24 secs to finish using 32 threads and 45sec using 8 threads. I realized their has to be a problem here. So I went into my BIOS and disabled Hyper Threading. So now instead of having 32 threads I only have 16 threads. When i went back to try the same simulation again this time the 16 threads was only taking 24secs to finish. and the 8 threads was taking 35secs to finish. This made a lot more sence to me.
Anyway so once I realized that turning off Hyper Threading fixed my simulation problem maybe it might be the cause of my slow performance in AE using multi processing. I tried AE and now multi processing is working great very fast now and stable. MP renders start right away now instead of getting stuck on frame 2 or saying initializing background processes and never ever doing anything. Before I had to keep disabling MP and re-enabling it in AE to get it to start working again and still it wasen't very stable
If anybody is having issues with slow performance from their Multi processor systems try disabling Hyper Threading in the BIOS it might just fix your problem.

TurboTax and Safe Mode Issues

having issues with updates for TurboTax 2012 - the download of incoming updates doesn't work. Somewhere I read that a user had similar issues and got it working by booting into Safe Mode.
Tried it and it won't work. I shut down the computer. Start up again, immediately after chime pressing Shift and letting go when I see the Apple logo and spinning gear. Then I see a grey progress bar loading about 30% and then my screen goes black while still showing the cursor (which I can move) - but nowhere to click - no options. Only way to get out is by a hard reset. In the whole process I also don't see the words Safe Boot as mentioned on Apple site.
Any ideas why I can't boot into Safe Mode? I have repaired premissions.

Another thing.
I noticed the temp for iStat it says TOSHIBA .. instead of MAC...
is this normal?

Smart Object and blend mode issue

I have an object that I moved from another image and needed to resize. The object is an image of a bottle and glass, with both the bottle and glass having reflections from their base. They both also have some layer masks with the reflections. I grouped the glass and bottle and created a smat object before the move to the new file). Anyway everything worked fine, except the reflections are much stonger in the new file (they are sitting over the same colored backgrond as in the original. If I open up the smart object and put a background behind the images and the reflections (background is transparent)everthing looks as they should. The reflections have a blend mode of multiply).
So why does the smart object not render the reflections properly (without lowering the opacity more within the smart object group) they appear almost at 100% in the new file. Any suggestions?

Preview and design mode issues

I would like to report a couple of glitches in Muse.
Problem #1:
I had a pair of photos that I added some text with in a separate text box. I had problems with alignment, so I put the photos into a slideshow with the text:
I hit enter to space everything out properly, and a portion of the text moves above where I want it, and overlaps existing text, and the column shrinks:
If I hit enter again, then delete, the text moves back to where I want it to go.
Problem #2:
On occasion, when I preview a page I am designing, it looks jumbled with text in places I never put it and opacity is reduced, like it's under layers. I deleted all text on the page and re-previewed with no difference in how it appeared, text still jumbled and out of place with text I just deleted. I revert to last saved and luckily that fixes it, but it sets me back a few steps. I didn't save any screen shots from that fiasco, but I did with the next one that occurred:
in Design mode I added the red links on the left of the Home page like this:
Preview showed a mess with the text I have on the master page like this, no links, and nav tabs placed above everything:
I have sent this to Adobe for a response with my export file and screen shots and haven't heard anything back yet.

What is shown in "Plan mode" is consistent with what I have designed, but I can't get it

Now the changes that I made aren't showing up in the Firefox preview when exported, the Firefox view once published, or the preview within Muse.
Further the screen that shows up I can't find on the "Design mode" to change or delete it:

I have installed iOS 8 on my iPhone 5s and on my iPad 4. Firstly there is no more modem functions in the phone. Secondly there is no connection through iPhone and iPad. Tell me please somebody, what to do and will everything in the near future repairs?

similar problem- since upgrading to iPhone 6 I can't connect with my JBL Charge speaker- the phone searches but can't seem to find it. I was able to pair the phone with my car. I've tried resetting the network setting, turning off and on the bluetooth button. Any other suggestions?

Bluetooth and Speed Dial Issue

I just got a new 8830, and have updated to latest software - 4.5.0.77, and am having two problems I can't find answers for.
Bluetooth - I enable Bluetooth; it works fine. After I power down and up again, the Bluetooth is disabled and has to be enabled again. Why does it not just stay enabled?
When the phone is locked (enterprise server), I can't use the speed dials, even though I have the phone set to Allow Calls when Locked. I can make calls, but not use speed dial.
My old 7130e allowed did not these things. Are there ways to fix these?

Hello and welcome to the forums;
Are any of your contacts assigned to the Z or B keys? If so, try reprogramming those contacts temporarily to another key. Also, have you tried un-assigning a speed dial and then re-assigning it to see if the speed dial comes back?

Solaris 9, /var/sadm/install/contents and fix-modes issues

I'm in the middle of patching a bunch of systems right now using Martin Paul's PCA and Casper Dik's fix-modes and I'm getting some rather odd error messages from fix-modes after installing the Recommended and Security patches from 06 August 2007.
I'm seeing this on better than a dozen machines right now, and it doesn't seem to be consistent on which entries have the problems.
Here's a snippet of the fix-modes output:

IMHO the only thing that should modify the contents of /var/sadm/install/contents is a system utility. There is work currently underway to update the way that this file is modified.

IOS x yosemite. LAG and SAFE MODE issues.

I just recently updated my IOS to yosemite.
Problem #1 - As soon as the update finishes, my computer turns on. But my computer was really slow and lagging. Usually it's fast when I need to open or load something. So i browsed around this forums, and came upon safe mode boost.
While doing the safe mode boost, it got stuck , like for a good 5 minutes, the bar didn't move. I thought my computer froze. So silly me pressed down the power button shutting the computer off.
Problem#2 - My computer doesn't lag anymore. But when i turn on my computer it turns on through the safe mode, the bar pops up, it starts loading, but always stops like half way, then my computer turns on.
I tried to do a PRAM reset, using command + option + p + r.
But it still brings me back to the safe mode boost. (Bar pops up, Loads half way, Computer turns on)
What should I do?
