Gx720 sound driver in windows xp not working

hi,
i recently reinstalled window xp (sp3) on my gx720, everything is working fine, except for the sound card drivers.
i have downloaded all of the drivers from the msi site and all of them have installed without error, however when I install the realtek HD audio drivers, after the system restarts, I look in the device manager and there is no sound cards installed.
the driver package i'm installing for the realtek sound card is labeled: R2.09 ATI_HDMI5735 (which i thought was a little strange, as the computer does not have an ATI graphics card)
is there any sequence i should install the drivers in? or another driver package i should use?

Thank you Svet, that seems to have done the trick, had to reinstall the Nvidia drivers as well (just the audio), but all is good
Am now one very happy camper
P.S.
on a side note for those who are interested, the device svet was referring to came up in my device manager as "pci device" with the yellow triangle on it, i only had to uninstall it, reboot, let windows reinstall the UAA bus again, then install the realtek driver package again. (silly me, i should have looked into that first)

Hi, i just installed Windows 7 RC Build 7100 via Boot Camp. The sound worked fine when i installed the drivers from the disk but then i downloaded the drivers from the Apple website for the vista update. I re-installed the drivers from the disk and still no sound. How can i fix this?

i want to tell you my problem and my solution.
i have a late model macbook pro i installed windows7 rtm version x64.
and i always had windows on my mac (older models) with everthing working properly.
i did't have sound on my windows7 os. i tried everything form every forum.
they all had some problems my problem was that windows7 installed the driver by itself. but that my output was only 50% and i heard nothing.
everybody (including apple) say that you need the realtek/sigmatel driver
from the apple dvds or from the realtek site.
and i tried every version of the drivers (i have a lot of old apple cds)
but still no sound. windows 7 said drivers installed correctly.

High Definition Sound device or something like thad.
but now the solution.
i tried to install windows vista.
vista said drivers. installed (without apple drivers installed)
the driver name was:
Cirrus Logic CS4206a (ab75)
and these drivers are also on the apple dvds.(cirrus.zip)
so i installed windows 7 again.
and installed this driver first. then started bootcamp. drivers like normally.
everything now works perfect.

Assuming that you tried to install Win 7 in bootcamp.
Power on the machine and press and hold the "option" key when you hear the bong sound.
Select the Macintosh HD icon and press "return" or just click on the icon.
Once booted into OS X go to System Preferences and select the Startup Disk icon and configure startup to use the Macintosh HD.

first go to start-all programs- windows update is at the top of the list follow the prmpts to install microsoft update which is the new version of windows update if microsoft update is all ready installed go there and select custom then let it look for updates
then if it detects missing drivers it will install or guide you on what to do. If you have an r52 laptop then try this link.

2 if that doesnt work then try this open device manager right click on the sound device you may have to expand sound, video and game controlers on the tab that comes up select properties then select the drivers tab select update driver.
do it this way incase the driver installation failed the frist time it may not ask you to update again if you didnt uncheck the box that came up on frist try.
3.find a mother board disk and search the disk using explore for ac97 realtech driver. actually windows update should solve it also try there FIX IT web site there are many automatied fixes there for your use.

This is my method of installing a Vista driver into Windows 7. The driver adds the necessary Registry entries.
Download the Sigmatel driver package R171786. This is the Vista audio driver for the Vostro 1400. It is for both 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems.
Extract the files (unzip or unpack) but cancel the installation process. Go to the hard drive to
c:\Dell\Drivers\R171786 (This is the folder that is created when you unpack the download. It contains the driver files.)
Right click on setup.exe and select Properties. Find the compatibility tab to select Vista.

To replicate this issue - Try to download .net framework 4.5 from microsoft website and than run that setup on windows partition.
Before installation. it will first extract all the binaries to a other drivers, since in my case other primary drive is E which is a Mac partition so it always give me an error while extractiing and therefore setup is not able to execute propely.
Let me try to get the screen shot of error and send it here.

It does not make any sense. Based on its support page, it uses "Conexant HD-Audio SmartAudio 221 Driver" for Vista

I"m going to make the presumption that you've checked the volume and that you don't have it muted. One thing some have suggested is to go into the settings and reset all settings.
It is kind of a drag because you wil have to retweak everything but it's helped for some.

If "No," first try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

Popups: Navigation from view to window does not work

Hi,
I open a second window as popup. This window has 2 views embedded, displaying view1 first. On some actions I would like to navigate to view2.
Defining an outbound plug on view1 and an inbound plug on view2, connecting them and firing the outbound withith the onaction works absolutely fine.
However, for some reasons I would like to avoid a direct navigation, but would like to navigate from view1 to the popupo window and from there to view2 (or maybe another view, ofcourse also embedded in the same popup window). Unfortunately I fail on this scenario - I can fire the view-to-window plug, but the destination on the window side (handle in method) is never reached.
Since the same concept works fine on non-popup windows I wonder whether a navigation from view to embedded window does not work for popups?
Any idea?

no, just one window.
The first link is view1 -> window, the second window -> view2.
I.e., I fire in the view the outbound plug, which is connected with its window.
In the window I fire an outbound plug, which is connected to view2.
In theory this should work - for non-popup windows I do not have any problem at all, however, for popup windows the navigation from view1 to the window is not processed.
In the meantime I played a little bit further: Instead of firing a navigation from view1, I now fire an event defined in the component contoller, on which an event method is registered within the window. Doing so, I reach the window, which I didn't reach via the navigation link. Once in the window, firing to view2 works just fine ...
Hope the issue is a bit clearer now. Also I found a solution, I am surprised that the simpler way via navigation does not work.
