H.264 updates needed ASAP

I really like how H.264 compresses the image of my video's with almost no artefacts and very little filesizes.
What I absolutely do not like about H.264 is it's insufferable "color profile" which adds 2.2 gamma to the .mov files, but in a way that you just can't correct by lowering the gamma in Compressor, because it isn't really in the movie itself.
Also, H.264 videofiles from camera's that work with a hardrive instead of HDV (like the Canon EOS 5D markII for example) are known to be non-friendly when it comes to editing, causing the playback to stutter everytime a new clip starts.
These problems have been pointed out since the beginning of H.264 (2003!), so why aren't thes problems fixed? why can't H.264 work along like all the other codecs? Please Apple do something about this

The AT&T 3G iPads (which are GSM/sim based) in the US are not locked (the Verizon models are CDMA based so they effectively are). So as long as you can get a sim in your own country you shouldn't have a problem

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

Okay, that means with the latest iOS software, it requires the latest version of iTunes on the computer. Which computer OS platform are you using. Now you are saying that after downloading the latest version of iTunes that your iPhone is not being recognized by iTunes? Completely different thing, and the iTunes on the iPhone has nothing to do with that anyway. The iTunes on the iPhone is just for purchases.
If you are having trouble with the iPhone being recognized by iTunes, use the appropriate link for your computer OS for assistance.

Acrobat pro 9.0 update needed

I own a DVD set of CS3 Design Standard for Mac, including a second DVD named CS3.3 including Acrobat 9.
I could not access the DVDs with the Remote Drive function of OSX (I am on a Macbook Air now, without DVD drive). Thus I downloaded CS3 from Adobe and entered the serial number. Works. However, I cannot update to 3.3/Acrobat 9 as there is no download available from Adobe for Mac.
Using a proper external DVD drive should work, I guess - if I can get hold of one, not much motivated to buy one, though.
Or is there another possibility of updating?

I'll try the USB thing.
However, I do not think that this is aspecific Acrobat issue, as the
original CS3 DVD didn't work either through remote, so I downloaded it
from Adobe, which worked fine.

User update needed after updating to Yosemite

Hi,
A few days ago I updated my MacBook Pro to Yosemite, the update was fine and everything seemed working.
First there were 2 users, my account and a guest user and my user profile had no picture and says "update needed" rather than my name. The update complete and then everything works as normal. I did a new update of Yosemite and then there were always 2 users but the note "Update needed" disappeared. Again I loaded Yosemite and since this whenever I shut down and restart my macbook, I type in my password and then there is an update. After this I can work as normal.
Any ideas how to solve this? Should I load Yosemite again?

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Wondering why when i try to open a file it says quicktime updates needed but then says quicktime is up to date

i try to open a downloaded file from frostwire it is the movie "the notebook." when qt comes up it says "update needed to play this file" then when i try to update qt it says qt is up to date

My user avatar when I login is blank and says "update needed?"

If I restart or turn off my computer, then turn back on, my avatar for my main admin account is blank and says "update needed?" It is strange bc if I log off, then it shows up normal (although the order of my users is switched for some reason with my admin account being in the middle).
I even tried entering time machine and restoring my computer to before this happened and it didn't help.
Any ideas? I tried updating software and nothing. It is up to date. Thanks.

There is a program that addresses this issue. It's called System Update Readiness Tool. Please select the correct version.
The original specs for that computer was Vista 32 bit.

When i turn my mac pro off and then back on it dosent load my login pic and says updated needed!!

when i turn off my computer and turn it back on it won't load up with my login pic jus a plain screen and empty pic!
with the words updated needed under the empty pic. however if i jus put t into sleep mode it will load up the pic as it should. bit hard to explain.

"Update needed" on OSX boot. How to remove it?

Hello guys!
First off, thanks for the opportunity.
Recently I've erased my iMac hard drive and chosen, in Disk Utility, to encrypt my data.
Everything went okay, except for one little problem.
When I boot OSX, it shows me up an misterious user named "Update needed". What is this?
I've searched the web for a quick solution, but unfortunately, the most suggested option I've found is:
Turn off FileVault, wait many hours to decrypt data and, turn it on again (and of course, wait some hours to encrypt).
Did anyone got this problem and solved it in a much easier way?

I had this too and I turned off FireVault and the computer did its decrypt/encrypt in about 30 minutes. This corrected my initial login showing mystery man with ? and update needed wording. I now go straight to my login window with the proper login window.

I show 4 app updates needed on my ipad2 but none there when open App Store.

I cannot update my apps even though it shows 4 updates needed on my iPad 2. Anyone else having this issue?

Open App Store
Click on purchased
Listed are all your apps
The ones that need updated will have an update bottom to manually tap
