H.323 D-Channel Drop on Ethernet Drop

I have a customer with an H.323 Gateway, if the link is lost on the ethernet, the CO doesn't send hte calls to the backup T1 because the D-Channel is STILL up, even though the Ethernet is down.
Is there a way to shut down the D-Channel or controller when the Ethernet port goes into Shut?

Haven't used the technique but look at PSTN Fallback. The documentation says it can busyout T1 channels backed on packet loss.
And just saw Advanced Voice Busyout. That looks like it could do the trick also.

  • Right channel drops out on playback

I'm noticing that when switching between effects or just replaying a track I've recorded, the track initially has a right channel (which i can hear), but a second later, just drops out. Still in experimental stage in recording, but wondering if anyone has a reason for that happening.
I'm using an M-Audio Fast Track Pro device to get my input with acoustic guitar.

    SteveG,
Good suggestions. I tried those too. Made not difference. However, this did. I poked around here and found a solution.
_durin_  had a great remedy.  See this post: Playback stops when in multi-track
Also, now that I have made these settings, things seem to play back quicker and renders are faster.  I still have a lot to learn.
    Thanks so much!

  • Channel drop outs

I imported a song and it was fine. Today I am simply playing it back and i get random drop outs on the channel with the loudest level. I need some help please. I changed my I/O buffer size, but it had no effect.

    Chopper51 wrote:
In the same window as the I/O buffer, try setting the Process buffer range one step bigger than it is now.
Changed it to Large, no difference.
    OK, check.
What does this song look like? a normal song
Do you really think I meant that? A 'normal" song? I have no idea what that is, LOL.
I meant: how many tracks, what audio format (24bits 44.1 kHz or 24/48 or 24/96 or even something else? What effects are on those audio tracks, to assess how heavy you are stressing your CPU('s)
    What bit depth? What samplefrequency?
    Crucial.
Which plugins do you use on it? waves
That doesn't say squat. There are Waves plugins that hardly use any CPU, there are some that eat 'm for breakfast. Just "waves" doesn't tell me a lot.
    Any Flex time? no
And when you bounce the song, is the bounce as it should be? yes
And how is the CPU activity (according to Logics' own meters)? 3 bars on one processor, about 12%
Any cores hitting the red? barely hitting them
And the HD activity? very little or no CPU activity. No HD activity.
OK, next thing to look at is your audio interface. What make and type is it, and have you got the most recent compatible drivers installed for it? Even if you have, trash them and reinstall. You never know.

  • Deployed portlet not seen under New channel drop down

    Hi,
I need to add a new portlet to my portal so user can select it under her content configuration page.
I have added the new portlet to a user's profile via the portlet admin console.
But the new portlet channel is not available in user's content configuration page.
    Any Idea ?
(i'm working on Sun ONE Identity Server 6.1 and Sun ONE Application Server 7.0.0_01 on Solaris 5.8).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
This problem occurs when display profile is not updated with portlet provider for some reasons
    Tips :
    1. Please check if Webcontainer instance is up.
    2. login to psconsole -> portals tab -> click on the portal name -> Click Add dn button and search for the dn to which you deployed the portlet -> Add it -> select
it from the select DN listbox and then download the display profile(dp)
If the portlet provider which you deployed is not present in the display profile
, then please undeploy the portlet and try deploying again.
    3) Before running the the portlet deploy, set the logger to FINEST and see if any errors are thrown, basically if should show dp updated and war file deployed.
    ./psadmin set-logger -u amadmin -f ps_password -m pas -O debug.com.sun.portal -L
    FINEST
    tail -f /var/opt/SUNWportal/logs/admin/portal.0.0.log

  • Airport express and stereo channel drop-out

I'm running iTunes on my home stereo system through airport express. I can only get one channel of stereo to play. This does not occur with controls such as playing my stereo components(radio receiver, CD player) outside the network. Is this a common or avoidable problem?

I'm also having problems getting both stereo channels to balance equally when running itunes through my home stereo. However, I'm not using airport express. I have a 1/8 inch cable from the headphone jack of my ibook G4 going to a RCA Y splitter (into the stereo receiver). I have only a faint response in my left stereo channel while most of the signal is in the Right channel. All of my cables are plugged in properly, and everything is fine when I use my stereo components, radio and cd player.
Anyone know why this might be happening? I bought the Y splitter from Radio Shack--it's brand new and doesn't seem to be faulty.
    thanks,

  • R/H audio channel drops

I have a collection of music on external hard drives. When any of the drives are connected, I only get sound from the L/H channel. Doesn't matter which USB port I use. I have no problems with this setup on other computers. When playing music off the web both channels work flawless.Any ideas? This laptop is only about 5 weeks old and I was hoping to use it mainly as a music server.

I should probably mention that this laptop has "beats audio". I've also ran through every troubleshooting guide I can find. Suggestions?

  • Input packet drops on uplink port-profile

    Hi,
    I'm using Nexus 1000v and vSphere 5.1;
    I just migrated some physical servers to VM, and I have some weird reporting issues;
    Just to make sure it wasn't a network issue they asked me to verify if anything was overlooked on the Nexus side of things;
    Everything checked out, but I'm seeing a lot of input packet drops on the physical ports of the system uplink port-profile;  I doubled checked the configs on the VSM and the Catalyst stack and all is configured properly;
should I be concerned about these Input packet drops that I'm seeing on the VSM on the physical interfaces of my uplink port-profile?  If so, could it be the NICS in the ESX host that could be the issue?
    Any feed back would be appreciated;
    Thanks.

I have the same symptomps on 3 different Nexus 1000v. All 3 run the same version  - 4.2(1)SV2(1.1) VMware is 5.0 sp1 and the hardware for ESXi hosts is more or less the same (At least server blade model and CNA).
We have tried to use vempkt to capture traffic but no traffic is captured if we filter on drops even though the counter on the port-channel and member Ethernet interfaces increase. On the hosts we tried vempkt we see about 20 drops per second. Here is some info. I have removed some irrellevant stuff.

In our case, could the input drops depend on that we allow vlans from the upstream hardware switch to the VEM that do not exist on the N1000v and that this is the reason we can not capture the dropped packets?
    Any ideas?

  • Airport/Time Capsule dropping network in 5GHz only mode

I have a Time Capsule configured for 802.11n only 5GHz secured with WPA/Personal I think. My black MacBook is constantly dropping connections. Go to airport menu and my network cannot be found. This happens even when I am right next it. Have to restart TC or wait several minutes for it to hopefully appear again. I just bought an Aluminum MacBook and I have the same problem.
When I switch to B/G/N compatible everything is fine. I really wanted 5GHz to increase speeds accessing Time Machine backups.
Any suggestions? Is this just a recent firmware issue?
    Thanks

You can change the 5G only channel from "automatic" to several other choices by holding down the option key when clicking on the channel drop down icon.

  • [solved] issue on 2-speakers to play .mkv with 5.1 channels

    Hi,
I have a .mkv video files seems having 5.1 channels, but i only have 2 speakers and i think only heard 2 of the channels (sometimes only background music with subtitles, or sometimes only voice).
I use alsa+basic GStreamer player (parale), no pulseaudio or other audio dependencies.
    Here's my questions:
    1. How to confirm the number of audio channels in a .mkv file? (i really don't have extra speakers to plug into the audio panel)
    2. I followed some ALSA wikis to downmix the channels into 2, but they don't work. Anyone could give me a link of an accurate setup wiki?
    3. If this were not ALSA to downmix the channels, could it be gstreamer or something else? How?
    Thanks!

Keep in mind though, that some player might do their own downmixing or just reduces the channels (dropping sounds and so), so you need to force them to use the audio's original channel amount.
On mplayer I usually just force this with channels=6 for some sort of 5.1 emulation and it sounds beautiful. (without alsa downmixing, some of the sounds will be on low volume though)
    Thanks but it doesn't work.
    Actually I found a solution:
    http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=541786
BUT, this also brings another issue -- it loses ability to play multiple audio file simultaneously. It seems like dmix is disabled.
I'm wondering how to merge this solution with your configuration to get dmix back.

  • Acknowledgement sent over http on 'secure' channel

    Hi,
I have configured a 'secure' eMS 2.0 channel with a https url of my partner: https://partner/eindpunt
When I use this channel for outbound messages it works ok, the message is sent over https.
When I use this channel for inbound messages it sends an ack over http, so http://partner/eindpunt
I suspect this is because we use a proxy that does SSL handling, it receives messages over https and sends these over http to B2B.
Well, we tested without the proxy, so inbound messages arrive over https directly to B2B, same result: ack is sent over http...
Is there a switch to turn on https for the ack?
    I use SOA Suite 11.1.1.4.0

When you create an inbound ebMS agreement, you have to create a ebMS channel under Remote Trading Partner configuration and select that channel while creating the agreement (in Remote TP channel drop-down list). This channel will be used to post the acknowledgement back to trading partner. You may specify HTTP/HTTPS URL, whatever you want, in that channels configuration.

  • Regarding B2B 11g Channels

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to B2B and it would be great if some one can clarify on the following questions .
    1) Can a internal Delivery channel be inbound to B2B where in B2B is given the data by the backend application and B2B need not fetch it through an internal listening channel?
    2) Can a Remote trading partner send a message to Oracle B2B based on the External Delivery Channel configured to it ? Here B2B is not fetching or listening for inbound data
from Remote trading partner(through an external listening channel) but instead the remote partner is sending i.e. triggering the interaction.
    3) Does an internal delivery channel participate in an agreement ? My understanding is that an agreement is between Host trading partner and remote trading partner
I have read the other forum threads and blogs but could not get a clarification on the points
    Thanks in anticipation
    Mainak

    Hi Mainak,
    1) When I look into an Agreement I notice that we have under channel column 2 sub columns called From and To. So what is the Significance of that ?
In the outbound from Oracle B2B's case I understand that the To Channel column will contain the partner's channel name. But am not sure when will the From channel be populated because any message coming into B2B is through listening channel and listening channel do not participate in an agreement. While creating agreement, you will find channel drop-downs in both the trading partners section.
The channel drop down in Host TP section is used to select the "INTERNAL" host trading partner channel (created under Host TP --> Channels tab with INTERNAL checkbox selected). This channel is used to pass the incoming documents (from remote TP's) to middleware/back-end. So you may only select a channel from this drop-down in an INBOUND scenario where the incoming message has to be passed to back-end and that too without using the default internal channel (IP_IN_QUEUE or B2B_IN_QUEUE).
The channel drop down in Remote TP section is used to select the remote trading partner specific channel (created under Remote TP --> Channels tab) or common outbound channel i.e. "EXTERNAL" host trading partner channel (created under Host TP --> Channels tab with INTERNAL checkbox NOT selected). This channel is used to pass the outbound documents (from middleware/back-end) to the specific partner. So you may select a channel from this drop-down in an OUTBOUND scenario where the outbound message has to be posted to Remote TP.
    2) Then in an agreement can we have the scenario of both the To and Form channels of a agreement populated ? Yes, there may be a scenario where you have to select channels from both the drop-downs. For example, an Inbound ebMS agreement. In case of INBOUND ebMS, your B2B will have to pass the incoming document to back-end as well as it has to post an ACK back to TP. Same is the scenario with any standard Exchange which supports exchange level ack (like RNIF, AS2 etc.).

  • FCP/AJA IoLA audio glitches when printing 4 channel audio to Digibeta

Hi...trying to troubleshoot my wife's machine at here office.
    G5 DP2.7GHz
    8GB RAM
    FCP Studio
    AJA IoLA
Sony DVW A500 Digital Betacam Deck
    DVCPro 50 footage (SDX900)
DVCPro 50 sequence for editing the show
10bit NTSC sequence for graphics & printing to tape
Have updated all drivers & firmware. This is the 2nd different DigiBeta deck we've tried, as well.
Sending TV show episodes to tape, network requires 4-channel: 2 stereo, 2 discreet.
When the sound on the music channel drops completely away, we can see and hear pops hitting on the audio meter. It seems to be little glitches from other channels popping in and out of channel 4. Sometimes it's a voice. Sometimes it's nat sound.
Probably happening all the time, but it's only visible/audible when it's isolated. It doesn't seem to do it on any other channel.
These audio files are mastered in ProTools and brought into the timeline as one long file for each segment, so there are no parts of the sequence that have nothing there.
The pops do not show up on the Final Cut mixer.
The pops only show up when either viewing on external monitor or printing to tape.
    Audio is 48K.
All we can do to get rid of them is keyframe the mixer to pull all sound out of that track once the music fades down. Sure, no big process, but our sound mixer is already doing that in ProTools. It's doing the same thing twice. There's nothing there, so why should we have to bring it down on every show?

    Tried this today.
Contacted AJA tech support yesterday and he had me revert from driver v2.1 back to 2.0. Wouldn't print at all, then, so we moved back to 2.1.
We can print now, but still having the pop issue.

  • Copy right channel to left channel ??

    hello,
my name is johan de visser from holland and i'm currently working on a restauration session. i have to transfer a couple of songs from old school tape cassete to cd. the tapes are more than 15 years old and at least not used for 10 years or more.
after transfer i do the 'digital remastered' thing.
there's one song where the left channel dropped out for 2 seconds. i got the idea to copy the right channel to the left, but really don't know how to do this in logic ???
    anybody ??
    greetings and many thanks, johan

    Welcome Johan,
there are several opportunities to achieve this, here are two to begin with :
You could use the panorama automation for the specific part, so for the time of the drop out you'd have a left-channel-only, but-mono - part.
You could also copy the whole track to another audio channel, isolate the drop-out part, and adjust the output, volume and panorama of that copied channel to your liking.
(Maybe it's a good idea to also have a mono listening session after you've repaired the specific passage, as sometimes there can be nasty phase anormalies.)
    Good luck !

  • DAQmx card channel recognition

I wrote some DAQmx code on one PC a few months ago, then we moved the hardware to another PC and I'm having trouble remembering how I got this code to work before.  In MAX, I see my DAQmx 48ch I/O card (24 in, 24 out). (1) Do I have to setup anything, like a task or channels/lines in MAX before going to LabVIEW? (2) I only have one DAQmx card, but whether I have one or more, how do I specify in LabVIEW which card/task/channel I want to talk to?

Yes you will have to do some set  up in max just to make sure that the device name, ports and lines are correct in your code. The reason is that you specify the lines input in string format. there may not be such a line on the new PC because it may be set up in max in a different slot or something (ie it may not be set up as PXI1SLOT5 it may be set up as PXI99SLOT3 or something to that affect. What i would do to avoid this and having to set things up in max is to use the daqmx physical channel drop it on the front panel and change it to a constant and pick the correct channel to use in each case or in an array as you have done with the strings in the input and output cases. when I change this is your code to something I have installed I do not get the error so this is definitely a problem with the setup in MAX and the physical lines for the device.
    Future reference:
To avoid the hasle for next time once you get it working export a copy of the configuration file for max and then load it on the new machine and it should be OK
    Joe.
