H 470wbt not wishing to print complete photo grade pages

Not sure if issue is printer or megapixels. (mp)
I have had this printer for several years and  I have been using last couple years with a Sony Vaio running windows 7
When we take a vacation type trip, I shot digital pictures . .which I then print up in hotel room and mail home made postcards
to friends as we travel. It has served me well for many years now on these jaunts.
Last week I had nothing but trouble! I usually use Microsoft Digital Image suite to do layout fix any imperfections
then place 3 to 4 pictures per letter size page of photo paper.
This last trip (last week) when I went to print would do everything as normal start printing then  . .
about 4 inches into print would rudely spit out the page and do the same on next sheet, even though I only had one page in computer queue for printing
Basically unwilling to give me one whole page!
Right now wondering if
1 - the printer though low use has just wigged out on me!
2 - I did replace older camera with new one at double the megapixels. Could 12 mp instead of 6 mp over load ram of printer
if only printing 3) - 4x6 prints per page or 4)- 3x5 prints
Sort of put a dampener on this last trip with a couple of way too late night fighting the machines!!
Plus so many cards did not go out to those who look forward to something in the snail mail that is not political or have a bill window!
Now home I am hoping to experiment on downsizing the megapixels first and trying again. Just did not have the time to spare on the trip and camera arrived day before we left and I just gave it no thought at all (I know bad move)
Thank you for your time and consideration reading this and if I solve this myself I will post my own findings!
Last question - would it have been better to use only on long USB cable instead? I'm sure I tried that also midstream (headache)
but maybe should avoid bluetooth if running heavy megapixels?
Thank you again

How do I print multiple photos on one page using iPhoto 10.5.1?

You've done it in the past - but not with iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x
with iPhoto '11 version 9.5.1 (there is no version 10.5.1) the only way to print multiple photos per page is as I explained - and going back to a [revious is not an option as previous versions will not run under OS X 10.9.3 and previous versions can not read the library after it is upgraded to version 9.5.x
the way you do it is
For now a work around is to duplicate the photo in iPhoto (this does not increase disk storeage requirements) and print multiple copies at once
To print 4 you must make 3 duplicates and select them and print all four

  • Printing 4 photos per page in iPhoto 9

In iPhoto 6, there was a process involving a few buttons to print four photos per landscape page. That has apparently disappeared from iPhoto 9.
There's also no apparent way to print to landscape on an HP photosmart 6440 printer in iPhoto 9.
Are these processes still here but buried, or is it now just not possible to do what was done in iPhoto 6?

Select the 4 photos, click print and select the printer, paper size and print size and click customize - click on the settings icon in the tool bar and select print multiple photos per page (the print size times 4 will have to fit the page of course) and click print - select printer specific options (landscape/portrait, paper source, etc from the pull down menu toward the middle of the print window - if i is not there click the gray triangle to the right of the printer name to expand the window

Do you want to print several different photos per page or multiples of the same photo?
If you want to print several different photos, select them all at once and press command-P for "Print".  Pick the Custom Layout and adjust the photo size suitably.
If you want multiples of the same photo, duplicate the photo several times and select all copies at once, then press command-P.

To get back photos and videos restore:
    - Restore from backup
    - If you used PhotoStream then try getting photos  ony from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

  • How do you print multiple photos per page in LANDSCAPE using iPhoto ?

I am very experienced using iPhoto and like it but it has a very limited print program that I find frustrating.
The simple task of turning the paper to landscape mode does not appear to be one of the options when you wish to print more than one photo per page.
Even with a single photo selected there is no "landscape" mode, but rather you have to define the print dimensionally to be 11" wide x 8" tall.
Even that option however, goes away when you select the "custom picture arrangement" to get more than one picture per page.
Has anyone figured this out - I love apples products but this omission is a pain - HELP

First send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/.
A workaround, if you have the iWork suite of apps, is to create a landscape canvas in Pages or any image editor that supports layers, drag the two photos onto it, resize as needed and print.

  • How can I print more photos per page?

    Hi
I have an HP Photosmart printer
When I send an email with a photo attachment to my eprinter it prints the photo 1/4 of an A4 page for each photo. This is ok, and great quality, but it means i'm using a while peice of photo paper for each photo. Even if i flip the paper and reuse it I'm still only utilising 1/2 the A4 page leaving 1/2 wasted. I have two important question.
    1. Is it possible to set the printer up to prlint a photo at full a4 size?
    2. Is it piossible for the printer to print 4 photos per a4 page?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello theatty,
If you are using the ePrint service to print photos here is what you need to know. ePrint settings can be changed by logging into ePrintCenter, and selecting print options on the left side of the ePrint panel. Here you will find settings for color options and paper size. Print options only apply to documents not photos. Here is the answer for question 1 Photo files will always be printed in 4x6. Here is the answer for question 2 currently there are no ePrint options to print multiple photos on 1 page.

  • Printing Multiple Photos per Page in Mac PSE4

I have PSE 4 for the mac. I would like to print 4 3.5 X 5 photos on an 8.5 X 11 sheet -- but I want them to be DIFFERENT photos, not 4 copies of the same photo.
I can't figure out how to do this. The picture package will print multiple copies of a photo per page, but not different photos. Is there a way?

Couildn't be simpler. Click a photo thumbnail in the Picture package window, then navigate to the photo you want in the window that opens, and that zone will be replaced with the new photo.

  • Printing 8 photos per page

    Hello,
I make photo magnets but since purchasing a new iMac with new iPhoto, I am unable to print 8 photos on one page (size 2X3) like I could on my old version. The video said to go to customize but it is limited in what it shows. I cannot seem to find anyone in the forum with the same concern. I have been making photo magnets for two years now with either the same photo on the page 8 times or 8 different photos on the page. Can someone out there help me?

Although I have an iMAC, I use Adobe Photoshop Elements, which came free with my scanner. In it, you can customize whatever layout you wish.

  • IPhoto print multiple photos per page

Hi, I am using iphoto to print for the first time. I want to print more than one picture per page. For example, if I do 3x5 photos I should be able to put 4 on a regular sized sheet. It seems ridiculous that you can't put more than one photo per page unless you are printing multiple copies of the same photo graph.
Can anybody help? I have a MacBook with OS Leopard plus all updates.
    Thanks.

You might want to search or post your question in the appropriate iPhoto forum.

  • IPhoto 7.1.3 and printing multiple photos per page

I cannot get multiple prints to layout (or print) properly. IOW, I cannot get the product to render multiple photos to a single sheet layout.
    - selected multiple photos (say 5)
    - Hit Print icon (or select Print from File menu)
    - Paper Size: choose 8.5x11
    - Print Size: choose 3x5
    - Hit 'Customize' button
    - It is showing 1 photo per page (5 pages)
    - Select 'Settings'
    - Select 'Multiple photos per page'
    - Hit 'OK'
    - No change - still a single photo per page
    - Print preview shows same - 5 pages each with only a single print.
    - Same occurs if I originally select 2,3,4.... prints.
Perhaps noteworthy: I am using a printer (only available printer) that is attached to another iMac on my wireless network.
Any help appreciated. About 30 minutes searching this discussion board hasn't been fruitful.

Welcome to the Apple user discussion forums
    - selected multiple photos (say 5)
    - Hit Print icon (or select Print from File menu)
    - Paper Size: choose 8.5x11
    - Print Size: choose 3x5
When I do these steps my preview shows 4 photo on the page (the maximum number of 3 x 5 you can fit on an 9.5 x 11 sheet) without going to the customize menu - and it works on three different printers
Try deleting your iPhoto preferences (finder ==> "your username" ==>preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist), launch iPhoto, reset any preferences you have set and see if it will work
It should be very easy and straight forward with only the first four steps being needed for this

  • Need guidance printing 4 photos - 1 page

    Hi All,
I am asking this on behalf of my wife, using iPhoto 6 on her 17" iMac. I have never attempted this, but then I have iPhoto 5 on my Mac.
How do I print 4 photos on one 8X10?? I have brought four photos together in the iPhoto window, but I can't get Print to do more than one on the page. From reading other posts here, I found out about the Print Dialogue and the need to change a drop down, but I'll be damned if I can find that. Any body care to help with this? Thank you.

    Hello, Forest,
I have a Canon iP6700 printer. This is how I do it:
In Page Setup, select the paper size as A4.
Then, in iPhoto, choose the four photos and hit 'print.'
    The 'Print' options are:
    Printer
    Presets
    Paper
    Style
So, I select my Printer, my Preset is 'photo on photo paper',
Paper I choose again A4 and
    Style, I use N-Up.
Then, below those choices, a dropdown appears to select how many photos per page.
I set it to 4, and I can see in the small preview on the left, that all four photos will be on the one page.
See if you can set yours up something like mine.....it works!
