H-RS880-UATX Motherboard BIOS Update

Hello, I am trying to update the bios for this board (H-RS880-UATX) in my HP Pavillion.
I am running windows 8.1 (likely an issue)
My Current BIOS version is 5.03 (possibly 2009)
I found version 6.11 from 2012 on the hp website: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=uk&lc=en&softwareitem=cp-106532-1
I also found version 6.09 from 2013 (odd?) also on the hp website: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=uk&lc=en&softwareitem=pv-88054-2
Unfortunately nither of these would run on my machine. "Incorrect BIOS for your system (253)" which makes little to no sense.
Three questions:
A: What is the latest driver?
B: How do I use this website to find a list of ALL drivers for a specific piece of hardware?
C: Why can't I install a driver for a verified product?
Thank you.

    Hi,
This motherboard is manufactured by Foxconn. Go to www.foxconnsupport.com and have a look for a new BIOS for the H-Alvorix mtb. For the fan regulating etc try CPU-Z software.

  • Bios updat help for msi x99s mpower board

Does anyone know the link for the msi x99s mpower motherboard bios updates ? i have the msi x99s mpower black and yellow motherboard i'm looking for the bios update link. because when i try to play game like csgo and h1z1 my game lags real bad and i know it is not the internet because i have tried 3 other pc on same line they all work fine and i even had my graphics card and hdd tested they all are fine so i am hoping it might be a bios issue

First I don't think you or anyone should put up with having only 3 channel memory when they paid for 4. If the board or CPU are faulty they should be replaced.
You can start with MemTest86 or MemTest86+. MemTest86 has multi CPU test option that is more real life like, I don't know about MemTest86+, haven't used it for quite long time.
Before using Prime95, make sure you have CPU/Core temperature monitoring software  such as RealTemp, Core Temp, HWiNFO, or CPUID HWMonitor.
Prime95, I assume th 64-bit version, but this create a lot of heat, what cooler do you have?
You can choose to run 6 threads instead of 12, it should be stressfull enough, also you can add the line Code: [Select]
CpuSupportsFMA3=0 to local.txt to disable FMA3 instructions that are more stressful on the CPU but not necessarily on memory.
If it is still too hot (>70c) add Code: [Select]
CpuSupportsAVX=0Do not close the window to stop the test, select exit from the file menu.
Or you can try OCCT which is all-in-one, stress + monitoring in one program. Select Large Data Set to stress memory. It also runs somewhat cooler than Prime95.
trust me i agree i talked to msi support and got no help they just kept telling me they know about the issuse and should have a fix for it soon, But yet i have seen many people say they have the same problem over 5 months now.......  So i just talked to amazon and they said no problem they will give me a refund so now i need to find a good board to work with my i7 5820k 2011-3 pcu

  • Bios Update/ Graphics Card

Hello I am having problems finding the bios update (download) for my computer, I looked all around the "hp" website and I can't find any downloads for bios. I recently re-installed and updated my graphics card because it wouldn't run hardware acceleration or any games that I tryed to start up, so now everytime I start up my computer it freezes while booting, but once I go into safemode and disable my Nvidia GeForce 7350 Le my computer boots up fine but my graphics card won't run, I have searched up over the internet for this problem and what I came across is that I need a bios update for my updated graphics card to work properly. My current bios is {Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.08, (12/ 8/2006)} what I am looking for is the download link for {P5LP-LE Motherboard BIOS Update, Version:5.23, (Aug 26, 2011)}. I have read that you can only get the update from the "hp" website, and I can't find it. If anyone could help I would gladly apprectiate it, also if you think i'm doing somthing wrong or taking the wrong steps into fixing this problem please let me know, Thank You!!

When you click on download, you get 2 options namely.
    1. Use HP Download and Install Assistant (Recommended)
    2. Download only.
When you click on the 2nd option, download only the file will start downloading.
I tried from my end and it worked fine.
Please try from a different web browser and check.

  • H61M-E33 (B3) BIOS update?

    Hi guys,
I've just got hold of a GTX760 graphics card, but having a spot of bother with the fan not powering up as it should--it's been tried in another system and all is well so it's been suggested that I need a BIOS update for my own machine.
Is this correct, and if so which one?
    System comprises of:
    H61M-E33 motherboard
    i5-2500K CPU
8 GB Kingston value RAM, 1333MHz (2x4GB modules as a pair)
    850W XFX PSU
Thanks in advance for any help!

Sorry for the delay in replying chaps, things went a bit haywire at work.
Thanks for the BIOS link and instructions Svet; this updated well but unfortunately didn't resolve the issue--which now seems to NOT be a BIOS one anyway!
Chika; the problem is/was that the fan on the graphics card would only 'kick in' (if at all) when the card was already too hot, resulting in the system freezing. A friend from a few houses away offered to test the card in his system, I know he has a 970GPU but not what the CPU etc is, but his testing was actually flawed as I'd given him the impression that I could get no output at all from the card. All he did was try it, saw a decent image on his screen and concluded that the card was OK and that it could need the motherboard BIOS updating as he'd had to do this on his machine.
The cooling afforded by my case seems to have been sufficient to keep the temperatures within the safe zone for *normal* uses, but not for anything such as playing a game to put the card under stress.
Whilst all this was happening I'd contacted the cards manufacturer who replied saying that it shouldn't need a BIOS revision and that the card itself was most likely faulty and started the RMA procedure.
So, thanks for all the help and sorry for leading you off on the wrong track.

  • Bios update for H-RS880-uATX

    Hello everyone,
I recently posted a question about whether or not I could install the Phenom II X6 1100T on my e9240f system which happens to have the H-RS880-uATX with a rated TDP of 125 watts, same as the Pheno 1100t. And even though this processor is not listed as one of my choices in my product specifications page I went ahead and bought since I read different thread where they mentioned that HP had forgotten to update the pages therefore the processor I wanted wasn't listed, and also the fact that this other model has the same exact same motherboard as mine and the Phenom 1100th is in fact listed in its product specification page:   http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02844678&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=jp&dlc=en...
That was one of my main motivation as to why I bought it.  To make story short, I got the processor and installed it in my system and it did work, however, not as I expected.  I was only able to get 787mhz per core and the model number wasn't displayed on my system propeties, it just said "unknown phenom processor". But here's the deal, I believe the processor I receieved was overclocked at some point in its life because on the TDP it read 129 watts which why I believe it wan't 100% compatible. Had it been 125 watts or less I'm sure it would have been. And I noticed that because my current processor is rated at 95watts, but in bios or other sofware I use to see how much enery is drawing, it's rated at 93.60watts. So I'm pretty sure that 129 watt had something to do with that, but that's just my guess.
In the mean time, is there a bios update for my system that would allow me to run the 1100t processor in case I'm wrong with my assumption, or are there any drivers for my AM3 socket?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I noticed that there is a contradiction with the HP motherboard specifications and the product specifications for the HPE h8-1060jp. Did you notice that discrepancy?

  • H-ALVORIX_HF-RS880-uATX BIOS Update

This subject, or one very much like it was asked. Unfortunately I cannot find the page, but the answer was less than satisfactory. Specifically one of the answers consisted of How Dare You Come Here Asking How To Hack A HP Computer. Not Gonna Happen!
    Excuse me?
I am here to find out how to unlock the BIOS of MY COMPUTER that I bought from HP! I didn't know the computer was BIOS locked when I bought it (otherwise I wouldn't have purchased it). I went to upgrade it, saw that it had an AM3 socket, and bought a AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE to put in. Some nice Cosair XMS3@1333 to round things out, and was even thinking of swaping out the 1TB drive for a SSD to really add some speed and eliminate the HD bottleneck. As it turns out, the motherboard itself is the problem. I've never encountered an "Unsupported CPU" error before, or even a BIOS that was locked down. It defeats the purpose of upgrading a computer, which in itself is something of a foreign concept.
I am here to find out how to unlock the BIOS of myH-ALVORIX_HF-RS880-uATX based HP Pavilion p6636f or to find out why it can't be done and what alternatives exist, if any. As the machine is surely out of warranty by the many upgrades applied, I am willing to consider alternatives that for all intents and purposes make the machine something that HP will never consider servicing again. It was probably a referb to begin with, but I thought it had potential.
Answers anyone? I'm all eyes and ears.
BTW, HP, if you're reading this: the weird memory sizes you're currently installing in your machines makes it look like your too cheap to put in a full complement of memory, and blantantly cutting corners and ripping offf the consumer.

I'm in total agreement with your feelings on this issue and your statement to HP. The P7-1003w is my first HP purchase and MOST DEFINATELY will be the last HP I ever purchase.

You don't need a BIOS update.
When it is stated that a CPU is supported in the motherboard specifications document it means that BIOS support is already present.

  • New X1C Gen3 Fried Motherboard TWICE from BIOS update!!

    Good Morning,
I received a brand new X1C Gen3 on Wednesday.  I set up the system (5300 CPU, multitouch, 256 SSD) and ran the lenovo updater.  Everything installed fine, then the BIOS update started.  When the system reset, all I got was a black screen and five beeps when I hit the power button.
Lenovo sent a motherboard replacement and a technician the next day.  New motherborad...BIOS update fried it again.  A third motherboard is on the way for Monay, but I want to 1) warn folks and 2) see if anyone else is getting this result.

  • Motherboard and processor, BIOS update and board capability

Hi there,This is my 2nd topic for same problem. I didn't get an answer which is not enough. So this is the problem.
I have issue about updating processor. This is my PC
    HP Pro 3010 Microtower PC
    Model #: WB636ES
    BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 5.11, 29.09.2009
    Motherboard:
    Pegatron Corporation
    Model: 2A94h
    Brand: American Megatrends Inc.
    I'd tried to update my processor with these;
    Intel® Pentium® Processor E6500 (2M Cache, 2.93 GHz, 1066 FSB)
    Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q8200 (4M Cache, 2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
    Intel® Pentium® Processor E6700 (2M Cache, 3.20 GHz, 1066 FSB)
For my investigation they are compatible with my motherboard. I found a website which motherboards specs are listed. http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/pegatron-2a94h-motherboard-specs-3272011h24/As you can see Intel Core 2 Quad (Yorkfield), Pentium Dual Core, Core 2 Duo (Kentsfield) are supported. But when everytime i try any processor, PC is not booted and no vision on my monitor and motherboard gives LONG 9 or 10 More beeps. So i go on with my Intel E5300 processor which is default one.
I had tried everything but there maybe only solution is updating BIOS. I'm not sure about it. So i ask you?
My board BIOS version is 5.11. In HP site when i enter my model number, 5.17 version BIOS update appears to download. I am scared to update BIOS. Is there any option there to make work new processor properly? Do i have to update my BIOS? Meanwhile all of Core2 Quad processors have 4MB, 6MB, 8MB, 12MB cache. If everthings gonna fine, these processors work normal? (It seems that my motherboard supports 2MB cache, i guess or read it somewhere) Best Regards

Hi, Your question was asked and answered.  Only the processors that HP listed listed for your PC will have the best possibility of working in your PC.  Please stay on your original thread.

  • Bios update - Motherboard died:-(

I updated my Motherboard (A88XM-E35) newest version via the bios update Tool with the bios on an USB stick.
It rebooted, no screen but harddisk LED was blinking. Nothing happened and at last i reset the computer. Now there is no activity at all at harddisk or screen.
The screen is coupled to the onboard and there is no gfx in PCI-E port.

I screwed my BIOS update using that in-windows BIOS flash update software.  Then an administrator told me to never use that method, and to do the USB method that you used.  He said to plug the stick into 1 of the USB ports on the mobo's own ports on the riser.  Then turn on system and be patient.  I had to wait ~5 min, then the system came to life again.  He also said, if after a long wait, you sometimes have to move the stick to another port(but still on the mobo's own riser)
Please explain what you mean by riser??
I will try the 5 minute trick.... Thanks.

  • When I update my motherboard BIOs itunes thinks I have a new PC

I had a previous X79 EVGA SLI motherboard and everytime I updated the BIOs itunes thought I had a different computer. OK so I changed motherboards to a new X79 Dark and everytime I update the BIOs on this motherboard I get the same thing from the itunes store

As far as I recall I'm not aware of a BIOS update causing an authorization issue for me, but if it happens every time you update your BIOS then it is a reasonable conclusion that there might be a connection. I don't know how Apple authenticates a computer, but I assume it involves some kind of checksum derived by inspecting various components of the system. Perhaps a quirk of your BIOS/motherboard is involved.

  • Msi z97 gaming 5 bios update help

Hello I recently purchased the msi z97 gaming 5 motherboard. It was working fine it came with bios version 1.0 and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest 1.5 bios from msi website copied to usb flash drive and flashed it using mflash. Computer powers on but black screen wont do nothing. I cleared cmos and battery and still nothing so I am pretty sure its bricked. I am going to store to exchange it for another one but I want to be able to safely update the bios without bricking again. I usually dont update bios unless needed but i need at least 1.2 bios to fully support the devils canyon cpu. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I read about the usb flashing tool in forum but also read that bios+me need to be flashed and I don't know if that program is up to date and will flash both files? I really appreciate it if someone helped thanks in advance.

Also does anyone know if it is dangerous to update the bios with a 4690k devils canyon cpu since it is not officially supported until 1.2? Is that why my first bios flash was bricked? I would hate to go and borrow another cpu just to update the bios but if I have to I will. Sorry for all the questions but I need to get my bios updated and I will not update it until I am sure of all these things. Thanks to anyone who answers these questions.
